    Curt's Club

In town for UofA graduation. Really wanted a sandwich and this place didn't disappoint. I had the Saturday daily special and man this Ruben was so good. The flavor of the bread the meat everything just comes together. Couldn't eat but half the sandwich. Even just as good the next day. The service was great they had a busy day but the wait wasn't long. The pretzel twist was so good had it the next day. Place is great lots of seating

Beyond Bread is a staple with generous portions and tasty options. The Curt's Club alone is good for two or more meals. I love that you can also get a loaf of bread or a beer growler. The chili mac is really meaty I just wish they had it more than just one day a week.

My partner and I recently grabbed some lunch and a caffeine fix at Beyond Bread after a doc appointment. We had a great experience! It was later in the afternoon, the place was fuller, but quiet. The employees were keeping the tables and patio clean and were polite. Our plant based Rueben and latte were excellent and just what we needed! This is such a nice location, especially the patio seating!

This place is amazing. Everything is made in house sandwiches were so fresh and yummy. I see why all of Tucson rates it so high. It's amazing. We will be back.

I always forget about this place. It's easy to pass by if you're not paying attention. But a friend of mine told me to try the pauly pesto sandwich. So I stopped today and I was not disappointed in that sandwich! The Pauly pesto is served hot and has Chicken, provolone, basil pesto (nut-free), artichoke hearts, tomato, Italian dressing on Focaccia. Yum! I got it with chips. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I got my order to go. They also have a bakery where you can purchase bread and desserts. They had an oatmeal raisin cookie that looked good, but unfortunately it was not. It tasted chemically I was disappointed in the cookie.

I've gone here twice now and am very happy I decided to try it. Their service has been top notch. One of the most appealing things is their menus vegan options. I've been having the salama shawarma. I think that's how you spell it anyway. It's amazing! Here you have a place that doesn't specialize in vegan foods and yet is more appealing to me than places that do. It's always pretty quiet and comfortable inside. Always clean and just has the feeling that it's run the right way. I cant wait to try their other vegan options. Beyond bread should become my treat spot to stop once a week or every other week.

My go to place for tomato soup! Truly haven't had a better tomato soup in Tucson. I'm so glad to be alive the same time beyond bread. The workers are always super nice and the service is fast and convenient. Their sandwiches are also pretty simple but some days that's all you need.

This Beyond Bread location has become one of my favorite spots for working lunches, and it seems I'm not alone in that sentiment. It's basically always packed, but I've never had a problem finding a table and our food always comes out super fast. I'm a regular during the summer months when gazpacho returns to the menu. It's one of my favorite meals when temperatures start to climb, since it's cool but also filling. You also can't go wrong with the specials, but the sandwiches are quite large, so be prepared for leftovers or bring along a friend and share. I love Beyond Bread and it's nice to see this local sport continue to thrive year round.

I love Beyond Bread! We recently stopped by to grab a sandwich between errands. I ordered the Pauly's Pesto and it was delicious. I've also ordered a loaf of their cheddar jalapeño bread and it's so good! Service is friendly. We went close to closing and were watching them bag up the extra loaves for charity. So wonderful they give back to the community!

Maddy's Madness full sandwich on ciabatta bread with pasta salad on the side.
    Madison C.

Look at the size of this sandwich! Delicious sandwich with a refreshing pasta salad. I wouldn't recommend the ciabatta bread with this sandwich because it's crusty and more tough to eat compared with other breads. Still really good and I highly recommend the Maddy's Madness which comes with avocado. It's always busy and the service is quick. Nice central location too.

It's a must visit lunch spot in Tucson! I always take a loaf of raisin bread to go. Everything is so good it's hard to know what to order!

Just had the cookie! Gigantic in size and taste! Nice and chewy! The perfect amount of chocolate chips per bite.

There is something indescribably delicious about the apple and cherry Crisps. *Chef's Kiss* The staff at La Baguette Parisienne is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. They are also incredibly kind. On my last visit, I managed to take an epic fall (really more of a clumsy crumple) that included pushing a rolling counter across part of the store. My middle name is "Grace". The owner, Kim, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful (nor could the customers there at the time, so I guess kindness attracts kindness). She helped me to get up and was gracious regarding my minor rearrangement of her shop and cheerful enough that I went from embarrassment to laughter in record time. My late beloved Mama found this lovely, cute bake shop decades ago when they first opened, and she was a delighted weekly customer whenever she was at her east-side Tucson home. I hope to carry on her tradition, if less frequently from my UA-area home, until my time on the planet is done (bury me with a plain large Miche, a Cherry Crisp, and a Cosmic Cupcake, please). Highly recommend!

Back in my old home in beautiful Providence, Rhode Island we had an artisanal bread bakery too. (Calmed Seven Stars, they have grown in the 15 or so years they've been around, now offering pastries, coffees, & with several different locations. Barrio Bread is staying truer to the original vision - great breads, bagels, just stop in to shop, & take it away.) My husband & I were headed toward N Country Club Rd early Saturday morning so thought we'd stop in & see what Barrio Bread's space was like. 15 minutes after opening we were already 7 patrons from entering the store! The line moved quickly enough, enough though we could see customers being individually greeted and served with friendly & warm attention rather than impatience. When we made it to the front of the line, it was the founder/original baker Don Guerra himself staffing the register. What a nice person! I mentioned where we'd come from (and Seven Stars), and Don stepped away from the register to call over Matt, one of the current bakers. Matr's a graduate of Johnson & Wales University (whose world-class culinary program is in Little Rhody) who met Don when he came to JWU to teach a master class in bread. Matt also baked at Seven Stars for several years before moving out to Tucson! Small world. I'd say this encounter was a little taste of (old) home - but Barrio Bread is more beautiful to look at and more varied than what I'd have available back in RI. And that sourdough is the best I've ever had! Too bad I left my phone in the car so no pictures - at least at this visit.

Good news was there was no line, and only like 4 people in the shop. Bad news was they didn't have too many breads left. I went with a seeded Cuban bread and a seeded Epi bread. Super nice guy, knew some folks in front of us and seemed like a Stalwart in the community! Good stuff! The bread was so good! I ate the Cuban loaf toasted with just some butter. The sesame seeds, the slight sourdough tang, great crunch outside and soft inside. Great bread! The seeded Epi bread we pulled apart and snacked on during our drive back home. Again, crusty and seeded outside, soft chewy inside. If their "end of the day" bread is this good, I cant imagine how good their regular selections and specialty breads are.
