If you're not familiar with these types of massage stations - most are like this one where the space is divided into different sections - some for two people, some for 4 people and then a row of reclining chairs. You are assigned a masseuse and then taken back to your area. They give you a bin to place your jacket, purse/bags and they place it under your massage table where you can see it while you are laying down. You stay fully clothed, and they place a thin blanket over you for during the massage. When you sign in you are asked what areas you'd like the masseuse to focus on. I chosen my back and shoulders. If you choose the same focus - I'd recommend wearing something sleeveless to make it easier and more effective for your masseuse to work your arms, neck and shoulder areas. The price is reasonable, especially in this economy! And because it's reasonable, I always tip very well. These masseuses work hard and really put their whole body into it! These are not the wimpy, spa kind of massages...these are the nice, strong kind with good pressure that really really melt your stress away! Although, you do have the chance to tell them at check-in what level of pressure/intensity and pace you prefer. They have many stations for manicures, pedicures, massages, and foot reflexology. When I saw their list of prices and I was surprised by how reasonable they were for their location. As a bigger person who has been walking on the treadmill and working out Orange Theory up to 5 times a week, my feet have been killing me, so I got a foot reflexology massage. To say my feet feel better than they have since I can remember has been an understatement. I plan on going back to Mulan Spa for more feet massages, and to make it part of my regular health routine. The room felt very private, clean, and modern. They provide special fitted apparel, and the setup instructions were super straightforward. Once the massage starts, you can adjust the pressure and focus areas, which makes the experience surprisingly personalized. It definitely feels different from a traditional hands-on massage, but that's also what makes it fun. No small talk, completely private, customizable, and very tech-forward.

The garments felt comfortable, but maybe have a pair of socks with you so your feet don't get cold. This type of behavior is unacceptable in a guest-facing role and significantly impacted my experience from arrival through checkout. No guest should be made to feel dismissed or treated with such poor professionalism. Management should ensure she receives proper customer service training so that this level of unprofessional conduct is not repeated with future guests.
