Good coffee, but if you just order drip coffee, don't make us wait 20 minutes behind all the Carmel mocha nonfat cappuccinos. Turn around, pour the coffee and done. read more

I wish it was cheaper cause I would have eaten the feta avocado toast for every meal. And the vanilla latte with oat milk was literally the best I've ever had. read more

This is a great place to stop by before a long drive. The cashier who helped us was very informative and friendly. He kindly answered all our questions without getting frustrated. I got the iced vanilla latte and my bf got the iced vanilla bean latte. The difference between the two - the vanilla latte is creamy and a little sweeter. The vanilla bean latte is not creamy. Both drinks were good. Parking was easy to find. It only took us a few minutes to find parking, which was great. read more

{review} once upon a time, @betterbuzz was a small coffee shop that was in the westfield carlsbad mall. today they are a local chain with many locations throughout san diego. I've heard nothing but good things about their cold brew, so I came in with some high expectations. @betterbuzz brew is steeped in large batches in a central location to serve all their stores, and are brewed for 24 hours. they offer an impressive 4 variations and after taste testing, I went with the new orleans style. this one has it all - bold, smooth, cinnamon and vanilla notes, and the perfect amount of bitterness. the other offerings were too fruit forward for me, but if that's your jam you're sure to be pleased. really happy with this new orleans brew - 4.5/5 read more

Better Buzz Coffee - @coldbrewchick - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

Awesome coffee shop located in the Encinitas area. Great staff, delicious food and amazing coffee. I had the Avocado toast and it was bomb.com. Only thing that kinda bugged me was the flies that collected in the middle of the shop. Since it's completely open... there's nothing that keeps the flies out. Lovely decor and chill ambiance. read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Avocado Toast, absolutely delish !!! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

Don't say you're closing at 9 PM when you close an hour early. I don't live in the area and expected to grab a coffee since you indicate on yelp and on the front of the store that you're "supposed" to be open. Really unprofessional guys. I even waved at you in front of the locked door while your entire staff was grouped in front of the register laughing and completely ignoring that you have customers. read more

The Better Buzz in Encinitas has quickly become my favorite Saturday coffee spot because the coffee is great (Best Drink Ever!) and I love their avo toast! The staff is always friendly, they have free wifi, lots of seating to get some work done and i think they have a great food menu. I hate when coffee shops don't have a decent food menu because no one wants to (or should) drink coffee on an empty stomach. They've got both down pretty well! You cant go wrong here. read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Avo toast - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

Today was my first time trying Better Buzz and let me tell you, it won't be my last. I tried the feta avocado toast and the best drink ever. There's a reason it's called the best drink ever, it was one of the best iced coffees i've ever drank before! The workers were all working very fast and were very kind even though the line was out the door. I will definitely be back! read more

The service was so friendly here, and I love it's open space and windows to feel the nearby beach breeze. Plus there is tons of table space for working or enjoying time with a friend. And of course the better buzz coffee never fails to disappoint. I love all their fall flavors like the pumpkin and chai. It's flavorful without losing the espresso taste and without being too sweet. Better buzz, please come to the east coast. Thanks. read more

So good!! Our avocado toast was amazing. The bread was perfectly warm and toasted with a good later of avocado. Both iced and hot vanilla lattes w/almond milk were amazing. Not only was the food good but the cafe was clean and had such a great vibe to it. Will love to come back read more

First time I came here this last weekend and it's a big space, lots of places to sit and chill and do all the hipster things people do at coffee shops. Good vibe and decor, would hang out here more than elsewhere on 101. Only issue is it was my first time here and my wife and I ordered 2 different coffee drinks and neither one of our orders was correct. Seriously, it's not that hard, but neither one was right, I don't get it sometimes. Baristas were nice though so that's cool, just wish they had gotten the order right. I think it was the guy making the order that screwed it up because the print out on the drink was right he just decided to make something different. Thing was it was pretty good, I think it was an iced vanilla latte, I would never order this but it was a tasty beverage, just not what I ordered. I'll try it again and hope for the best this time! read more

I came here to work for a couple of hours and had such a great time. Olivia took my order, she is the sweetest barista I've ever met. She really took the time to have a genuine interaction with every person that came in. I made a yelp account and this review just so the owners can see how much I appreciated her customer service. read more

Cute coffee shop! Sweet staff! It had a good atmosphere and a variety of coffee and juices to choose from. I'm late writing this little review, it's been a while since I stayed in Encinitas. I'll keep this one short. Stopped in to Better Buzz Coffee while searching for an early morning fix. The vibe at Better Buzz is eclectic, hip and relaxing all at once. I'm an older guy, but felt right at home here. The decor is lots of fun with a retro style I really liked. The staff was really friendly and welcoming, the Americano I ordered was spot-on and delicious. Seating is spacious. We sat at the window bar-type setting facing the sidewalk and enjoyed the spot while doing a little work on the laptops. If I ever get back to Encinitas, and I hope to some time soon, this will be my go-to morning spot. Highly recommended. read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

I have been following Better Buzz on Instagram for quite a while but have not had the opportunity to try too many of their coffee drinks. I asked the barista for a suggestion and she hit it out of the park! The Hazelnut Divinity was divine! I got it with half the sweetener since I don't like my coffee too sweet. It was very tasty and I would definitely order it again. This place is super cute too! Lots a light from the big front windows and lots of really cute merchandise to purchase. There are also lots of seating options, although, at 2:30pm on a Friday, there weren't too many open seats. Almost every seat in the place was taken up by a hipster with a laptop. But I dug the vibe anyway. My friend and I had nance chat at a table outside. I will be coming back for sure! read more

STOP COMING TO THIS LOCATION!!!!! I used to love getting my daily coffee here, the staff has always been nice and the coffee has always been even better. That was until a couple weeks ago I witnessed a customer point out a COCKROACH on the wall in the public lobby and all that the employee did was kill the cockroach and get back to her job. I'm not blaming the employee but why has nothing else been done about the issue? I debated writing this review for a while because I didn't want to ruin the reputation of this store but I feel like people need to know about this. Better Buzz will always have my heart, just not this location. This is a matter of public safety and if the management of this store doesn't take that seriously then they do not deserve my business or any one else's. read more

The atmosphere is really cool but if the coffee and service lacks, then the atmosphere is irrelevant. I ordered a pour over that was left neglected by the staff for almost 10 minutes. It turned cold by the time they gave it to me. I could literally chug it down like like warm water. They refused to acknowledge that it had been sitting there for ten minutes before serving it to me when I observed the employee turn off the alarm. I tried to get their attention but they were in over their heads trying to get drink orders made. The barista offered to remake it but I didn't have 20 more minutes to wait. Such a waste of time and money. read more

Poor training & supervision of newly hired cashier. No servicing of milk/sugar station. No removal of used plates from tables. No removal or emptying of trash containers. Prices on blackboard are old and not correct. Why patronize this business? read more

I love their chai tea! My absolute favorite combo is a dirty chai(only one shot) with hemp milk..delicious and definitely gives you a jolt in the morning! Their breakfast sandwiches are really good as well as their protein drinks. My daughter loves the Conscious Chocolate. The location is perfect and there's plenty of seating. Service can be hit or miss when they're busy but I think they've worked out most of the kinks since they opened last year. read more

This is probably my favorite of the Better Buzz locations. Always stop here when I am making a trip up the 5. Never has seemed to get too crowded and the staff is always friendly. Usually get the OG Acai bowl and a cup of coffee, maybe the Best Drink Ever if I am feeling more adventurous. Love the open layout. read more

My second time to a Better Buzz, and it was a home run again! This location is SO CUTE, and like I've said before, I live for cute coffee shops. This location is so open and airy; plenty of space for people chillin and people studying. It's placement right on the 101 makes it perfect for a quick stop for coffee, and the huge open front window seating is perfect for people watching (which I am a huge fan of). This time I got the the Iced Mint Mojito. And I LOVE everything mint and peppermint. You can definitely taste the mint leaf in this drink, and you can sub the heavy cream they use for soy milk or coconut milk if you wanna go light. So yummy, I'll be back to keep working through the menu and find my fave drink! read more

The "best coffee ever" with vanilla is so so good! Buzzy atmosphere and great service.

Stopped by to grab a quick snack yesterday. The place is really hip like most restaurants and coffee shops nowadays but I still enjoy the ambiance. My friend and I both got the acai bowls. She got the OG and I got the Hippie. The texture was good for both. Not too watery. The taste of the acai is a little bit too sour for me so I wasn't a complete fan. My friend likes it a little sour so it really depends on your preference. We got lucky with prime parking but I can definitely see it being difficult since it is all street parking. read more

Really cool coffee shop, awesome menu. It was really crowded on a Sunday afternoon and took awhile to get our orders. Got the pink dragon smoothie, very good! Reasonably priced. read more

I had the BDE - Best Drink Ever. It was actually surprisingly delicious, however I don't normally order drinks with so much sugar. The inside atmosphere is relaxing and upbeat. It is amazing how they transformed the old liquor store into a nice coffee shop. I will be back! read more

Great coffee! Used Better Buzz to keep an early am meeting + retail team caffeinated. Totally did the job and tastes great. My team raves about Better Buzz, and until this morning I hadn't tried it. I'm a plain back coffee so it better be AMAZING kind of person, and their Medium Roast was perfect. Light, balanced and I am officially converted as a Better Buzz fan!! We'll definitely be giving this place more of our business in the future. read more

This was my first experience ever at Better Buzz. I've heard all the hype before about the great atmosphere and of course coffee. From waking in it is very clean and welcoming to people who either wish to lounge or grab and go. At the time I was with my girlfriend and we both ordered lattes. Being new to the menu we both thought the coffees were iced. Upon telling the barista, NICOLE was extremely hospitable during a rush going on in the store. She was very sweet and even asked if we wanted another coffee that was iced. She made us both two different drinks, and even let us keep the first ones we ordered. I can say this is the kind of service you want to implement to receive returning customers. Thank you Nicole! Oh and she made us delicious iced coffees of course!:) read more

ya know what they say, life is better buzzed. Better Buzz makes some delicious coffee and some good eats. I tried their hazelnut divinity most recently, and it did not disappoint. Even though the base was white chocolate mocha, it was not too sweet. I find white mocha overwhelming at times, but this was subtle. The decor itself is adorable, and I like the varied styles of seating to accommodate for different sized groups and types of outings. My teeny, tiny qualm (that is out of their control) is that there is not a lot of breathing room when it is crowded. (And it can get crowded!) I would consider a different coffee shop if you're looking for more wiggle room. Otherwise, highly recommend checking them out! read more

I love better buzz coffee and their ice blended drinks. My go-to is the mocha blended latte. Soooo delish! This location is newer but has an amazing vibe to it. A hipster coffee bar, fits right in at the beach in Encinitas. The staff is very friendly and suggests great things to try. I needed a drink remade once because the blended drink I ordered was so watery, it tasted awful. The staff took one look at it, agreed fully and remade it quickly. Very nice! Most baristas are very rude when you question a mistake but not here. Sometimes there's a line but trust me, it's worth the wait! read more

I just visited here and the customer service was terrible. I'm not saying all the workers here are rude, however these 2 girls were working there and they didn't even acknowledge me. They just stood there, talking, (behind my back I presume) because I forgot to wear a mask for 1 SECOND!! I immediately put it on and apologized for not wearing it bc I had forgotten but they were super rude and didn't acknowledge me to take my order. Never coming here. read more

I think this is the type of place that appeals to people who don't really like coffee but who like the idea of coffee (overpriced and over sweetened). Since it's always very crowded, it seems like there are a lot of them out there. Granted, the macchiato was decent but the cold brew on nitro tasted like they used the burnt discards from a roast gone bad. It's also very loud and took forever to get my drink. I was giving this place a second chance after a prior experience where I came away feeling the same way, but I really regret not walking a few blocks more to Philz or driving to Coffee Coffee, both of which know how to make coffee. read more

The best of atmospheres and a genuine, caring staff. Thanks for letting me get buzzed with you guys!

Really good coffee, coffee drinks and hot cocoa. Super nice and helpful staff. Very friendly to kids. Friday night crew is TOPS.

The interior alone deserves 5 stars. I love everything about the way this place is decorated. I had an iced soy latte and it was delicious. There were a good variety of food items and the prices were fair. I will definitely be back! read more
