My fa-vo-rite iced coffee. I feel the same thing every time, and I still come back for more. I get the Best Drink Ever, iced, and I recently started getting it half-caf so I wouldn't be so jittery after the coffee. It's so good. It's a must try! Parking was decent and the interior is beautiful. It's a great study space if you can find room, because of the cafe vibe and great lighting. It can get a little loud, though, so bring your headphones or earphones if you're sensitive to that! read more

I am usually not in this area that often but would make the drive here just for the coffee! Good amount of seats and stools but sometimes this place gets very busy as its located in downtown Encinitas. Lots of people studying and working. It was my first time here and overall im impressed. I got the iced matcha latte and it was so good. The creamy and sweetness of the latte was just perfect. I will def try other drinks on the menu next time im back. They also serve food which is always nice! read more

Had breakfast here w/ family for the first time. We all enjoyed it. The breakfast menu is limited but workable. The coffee was excellent. Several of us had the poached eggs; the sour dough toast was awesome. Best of all was the help staff: They were calm, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. My husband said they need more than one restroom. Considering the large number of guests, he's accurate. We will definitely return. read more

Couldn't stay in here for more than 2 min the music was so obnoxiously loud. Like seriously why would I want to come here to study or enjoy someone's company when I have to scream at them read more

There food and coffee is nice, but the fact they can't open on time. I arrived at 5:45 and said they aren't opening until 6:15. When going out of my way to there on my way to work it was quite infuriating. I hope that they can figure out their opening shifts of just a better way of announcing to the public they aren't opening on time rather than a sign outside. read more

Passed by this cute little shop last year visiting Encinitas but didn't get a chance to stop, glad I did this time around. The girl taking orders was really nice, the menu had quite a few options and wasn't badly priced (I'm used to specialty coffee shop prices so a large iced coffee and a regular green tea for $8 is pretty usual for me). Ordered a Best Drink Ever and it's pretty good. Definite vanilla flavor, and creamy just like the description, but I can still taste the coffee, nice balance of flavor. My husbands green tea was pretty good, he slurped most of it down before I could even get my coffee so must have been good and refreshing. Wish we had time to come back this trip and try more of the menu and their avo toast which sounded amazing, but it'll have to wait until next year I guess, if this place is still around it will definitely be one of my first stops! read more

Cute place! The avocado toast was delicious and the coffee was excellent. It was busy but that's because it's really good!

Better buzz has always been one of my favorite coffee shops in San Diego and I hadn't been to the Encinitas location in years, and I was honestly a little disappointed. I was picking up coffees for myself and a few of my mom's coworkers since the virus has kept them working at the hospital extended hours, and service was pretty quick for having ordered 5 or so drinks. Most of the drinks (including mine) were iced white mochas~ my go to drink on their menu! It was extremely watered down (even though I had taken the last one that cane out) and honestly did not taste like the better buzz coffee that I had become accustomed to. It lacked the natural bean flavor you typically get and was honestly a little discouraging, especially since I hadn't had a coffee from here in a while and was purchasing a lot of orders. Not sure I'll be returning to this location, though it's really close. read more

My absolute favorite coffee shop! The best drink ever is always my first choice. I love the vanilla powder and I buy a bag to take home for my coffee. This location is right by the beach and perfect for a pick me up. I will always be a better buzz customer!! read more

Spacebucks is in my rear view- Better Buzz is my new bean juice joint to hit! The coffee is absolutely delightful, and doesn't taste burnt or flat. My iced oatmilk latte was also refreshing believe it or not. My life is forever changed, will be coming back! read more

I love the atmosphere here, the look of the coffee shop, and how open it feels. My favorite drink is Mocha de Mexico, and I do like the feta Avocado Toast :) parking sucks sometimes because it's downtown Encinitas, and something the baristas don't seem like there happy but are still friendly about it, everything else makes it worth it to come back. read more

When I started coming here, I used to love this place, but as time has passed, service has declined. I always get the lavender black tea latte, and I don't know what it is that's so complicated when a person says light ice or easy on the ice...they never give light ice. I'm not kidding when every single time I order for "light ice" they can never acknowledge it. I come here once a week on my day off, and spending $6-$8 on a latte, it just blows my mind. I came in here when it was dead one Sunday evening and waited as the baristas continued to work behind the counter and ignore me for 10 minutes. They were counting the register with about 40 minutes before closing, so it's not as if I walked in last minute. Luckily I was in no rush, so I waited, but any other time I would have walked out. A little acknowledgement and discipline goes a long way, but this seems to be in short supply at this Better Buzz. read more

Came in super early morning. Mackenzie helped me. She was awesome! Super sweet and friendly. She got my drink perfect! I wasn't having the best morning but her upbeat attitude helped to get my morning off to a better start. read more

Great atmosphere. Super friendly staff. Lots of seating and a great location. On to the coffee. They only have Regular and Large... Both are huge. I ordered 2 regular lattes both with an add shot and one with vanilla. Even with the add shots it was still very milky. Probably because the cup size is so large. With that said... It was ok. I needed a stronger espresso taste not just vanilla milk. read more

Man, this place was poppin' on Thanksgiving morn when my partner and I stopped in for our daily caffeine fix. The long line seemed like a good sign! They had a selection of house specialty drinks, but my partner and I both decided to go with a basic latte. I went with 2% and my partner went with whole milk. The drinks were made promptly despite the crowd and all the employees seemed genuinely happy to work there. Our drinks were solid, but not my favorite latte of all time, if you will. I'd definitely like to go back to try some of their house specialty drinks as well as their food--I'm pretty sure they have an acai bowl! read more

Taste the same as it does at the Hillcrest location. I'm not a fan of the location as it's a crazy tourist area so it was hella crowded. I prefer the local feel like we have in San Diego. It took longer than usual to order 3 Large drinks and then even longer to receive the drinks. Total time from waiting in line to taking a sip as 25 minutes. At least the coffee was great! read more

Great fun hang out for all ages especially the new La Jolla location , they have more on the menu like soft serve ice cream

Be prepared to wait. I walked in with a positive vibe, even though I was deprived of caffeine. Fresh decor, good for people watching, lovely aroma of beans. I was in town for a few days and decided on B.B.C. based on reviews and the fact that it looked cute inside when I drove by. Around 10am on a Sunday the place was packed and only 2 people in front of me in line. I ordered a Vanilla Bean Latte w/Almond Milk and Bacon Ciabatta sandwich to go. Baristas were quick and I slowly sip my latte, so I could save it for the drive home. Well, a few sips here, a few sips there...tick tock...still no sandwich. I was wearing my baby trying to keep her entertained and the baristas notice, assuring me my order will be right out. 20 minutes later (no exaggeration), my measly little sandwich is finally ready. Did I mention I finished my dink? Ridiculous. Every time the door to the kitchen opened it looked like they could've used some espresso or coffee themselves. They must've been enjoint another kinda buzz, if ya know what I mean. Overall, it left a sour taste in my mouth. Drink was eh, not really balanced. Food was underwhelming. Wait was horrible! I appreciated the eco friendly packaging which was excessive. read more

This is one of their multiple locations but this one has seating indoors and offers food. The window with bar seating by the front even opens! There's a good amount of tables and couches so it's great place to study or chat with friends. Drinks are just as good as about every other location I've been to and service is great. They also offer a food menu here that I wish I had back down in SD ): closest thing we have down there is the PB location unfortunately. Overall: If you haven't tried this place yet, TRY IT! read more

Great menu. Great service. Definitely my favorite spot. I come here on the week days and occasional weekend. Its definitely been busier and busier but I love how the staff doesn't get phased by it. They're consistently friendly and always helpful. The place is spectacular for photos and its buzzin, always! Can't complain, love the coffee, the staff is great. You have one consistent and happy customer. read more

Love this place, had some great coffee selections. The staff is very knowledgeable and shows lots of patience with picking out a good cup. Location is great, nothing like stroll beach and a cold brew. Can't wait to go back!! read more

i've been coming here for 7 years now for a turkey pesto sandwich. within the past year they NEVER put enough pesto on. ever. even when I ask for more they are so unbelievably rude. Never going to this location again. read more

I absolutely love the coffee here. I've never ordered the food so today I decided to try it for the first time. I'm so disappointed. I ordered the bacon egg breakfast sandwich and it came out like this. I'm wondering if the bacon is even cooked? read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

Though I'm not a coffee drinker, they have an assortment of baked goods like zucchini muffins and pound cake along with acai bowls and avocado toast. A friend in town says they have the best cold brew coffee around. They offer coffee beans that you can purchase to make your own as well. This is a pretty big coffee shop and has plenty of room to snag a spot and enjoy your purchase. read more

So this was my first time at this coffee house. I ordered a latte but completely forgot to ask for half the sweetener. When I left with my coffee I realized my coffee was too sweet. I came back and apologize for asking to see if they could make me a new one. The Barista Megan said that she would make me a new one and not to worry! Super sweet and great customer service! Totally coming back here next time I visit Encinitas read more

Coffee is tasty. However the service is lacking. AND I definitely wouldn't bother tipping when you pre-pay for your drinks. I ordered 3 drinks tipped 20% and when my drinks were ready they were overflowing with cream and other sticky liquids all down the sides of the cups. They didn't offer to wipe down the sides nor did they offer a drink tray which would have been nice since I walked there. There was no line so I can't find any real reason or excuse to have such crap service. read more

Very yummy! Instagram worthy coffee was good and its a fun vibrant place to get your caffeine fix. Acai bowl was very yummy dd and I split that and poached eggs and bacon, we added avacado, better without, eggs were done exactly right. Bacon was thumbs up. read more

Holy bananas, this place was popular and packed midday on a Sunday! Long line for drinks, but pretty worth it, given the quality of the coffee. We didn't have any food, but it sure looks tasty. Wish the service had been a tad friendlier, but I'm going to chalk it up to how busy they were. Definitely worth visiting again. read more

Better Buzz is one of my favorite San Diego coffee shops and now they have multiple locations throughout north and south county. My favorite drink is the honey latte and they actually use really honey and natural ingredients. They also make their own juice now too! The atmosphere at each location is really fun and has the sense of a lot of energy which makes sense given the name. Only downside is it's so popular that the lines are typically long at any location. Definitely recommended though and worth the wait! read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

Better Buzz in Encinitas is a kool place to grab a cup o caffeine and light meal. Everything I've tried was good. Parking in this area is tricky on beautiful days because it's such an awesome area to spend time. We usually park at the free upper parking lot of Moonlight Beach and walk and then hit the beach after. read more

Wish I could give this 0/5 stars. This place is so expensive for the "coffee" you get. Everything is so sweet and sugary, can't even taste the flavor of coffee. Açaí bowls are drenched in honey & are too sweet too. The employees are worse than the coffee they serve. Extremely rude and not very kind. Service is the worst part of this place, would rather spend my money elsewhere. read more

First time into this coffee house and it's such a gen! We will be back. The latte I had actually had the taste of espresso in it while in so many coffee shops, I only taste heated milk. My husband loved the black magic espresso. read more

I love Better Buzz! Great drinks and cute set up BUT so so SO slow. It always takes a long time to get your drink. The space is great but IMO a little too loud for working. read more

This review is loooooong overdue! I've been frequenting Better Buzz since the minute they opened in downtown Encinitas. The vibe is fresh and open, and and the coffee/smoothies are all delish! My personal faves are the conscious chocolate smoothie, and the 3 seed avocado toast; both are addictive! The horchata is fab too, just a splash in a cold brew or an iced coffee are my go-to drinks. And most importantly, the service is amazing -- you can always see that these peeps are busting their butts, with a smile! I also loooove that the store manager (Ariel) is so friendly, to not only customers, but everyone working there. Happy you're around -- the only coffee I'll drink! read more

This place seems to be a great addition to downtown Encinitas. It's typically busy and never slow. It's a cool space and built it out to be open and rustic. They have fancy and sugary drinks. I'm a black coffee drinker and their coffee isn't too great on its own. It's not very flavorful and a little watery. The space is definitely the best part. It's an enjoyable experience. read more
