One of the gazillion coffee shops in the area. We stopped by as it was close to where we were shopping. Buzz reminded me of Starbucks but on steroids. It definitely has a cooler vibe and it was loud. We liked that it has an open airy environment allowing the cool beach breezes to keep the inside area comfortable. Oh yeah, the coffee. It was fine nothing extraordinary but a real good cup of joe that perked us up for the afternoon. Strong four stars! read more

Love the energy, delicious drinks and wonderful staff! Extra shout out to Jaden at the register for being so helpful!

Holy. Best. Coffee. Ever. During my vacation in San Diego, we couldn't stop getting this coffee in the nice cool mornings here. Sipping this coffee while walking by the beach is the best way to have a vacation. If you're ever near a Better Buzz Coffee, stop in and hang around for a minute. The environment is cool and the people are very nice. Not just their coffee is good either, we got açaí bowls in the evening for a snack and it's easily one of the better açaí bowls I've had in a while. I ordered a hot vanilla latte with almond milk, never really switch up my coffee orders (lol) but it was so good. They do have a drive thru at this location which was so convenient. We stopped by in the morning before heading up the coast to LA. Wishing they had some of these on the east coast, that's for sure. They beat starbucks in my book! read more

This place is definitely buzzing!! Came in with my son for something quick for breakfast while waiting for my daughter finishing up her junior lifeguard program at the beach. Conveniently located so it was a no brainer to grab something quick. During our 2 weeks here I always noticed people carrying trays of coffee and food out of this place. We have a drive thru location where I live so a sit down location with food was inviting to try out. We arrived with a long line but the line moved quickly. I honestly was impressed with the hustle and quick service to get the line moving. You order up front and the girl taking our order was friendly and didn't rush you. I loved this type of service. This is the type of service I'm use to coming from the East coast. We ordered chocolate and almond croissants and a latte. Found seating at a shared counter as the patio tables out front were taken. Our items are what we expected. I'd definitely come back and try a breakfast plated food item. Wish more places had this hustle. read more

Okay Better buzz!! the music this morning was it! First time we have sat in and enjoyed the whole music aspect of our morning stop. Annalyssa and Sierra have been the most attentive in our visits in, thank you for bringing out that sense of excellent service. It's been highly pleasant coming in over the last couple months. And to the young lady who made our bowl this morning... so bomb. Whole staff in a groove this morning read more

I don't think a single butter buzz location can make a drink with specific modifications. They will just make the drink the way that they were trained and that's it. Don't bother asking for things like half sweet or extra whip. They will just do it by default. Poor training on the entirety of the company. Oh well maybe next time. read more

I love this place.. I ordered the black tea with lavender and feta avocado cheese.. Both were delicious and reasonably priced.. The ambiance is really nice.. Lots of seating.. The only down side are the long lines and not so friendly staff.. Perhaps it's due to the volume of people but they were a bit on the unfriendly side.. Other than that, I definitely recommend this place but get here early otherwise you'll be stuck in line. read more

What a great experience! We are visiting from out of town and wanted an easy coffeeshop before walking around for shopping and this place did not disappoint! The baristas were very welcoming, Kendall helped my family and I out by rrecommending the hazelnut divinity (delicious!) Awesome place, would stop by again. read more

This was my first visit to Encinitas Better Buzz, as typically go to the PB location. The location was packed and rather loud for a coffee, I presume because of the holiday. I ordered my usual, Beat Drink Ever, iced, which was ready rather quickly for as busy as they were. The staff was somewhat friendly and the site could have used a bite tidying. read more

Have you heard of this place? Have you heard of this orgasm in a cup? I'd sell my firstborn for a free cup of their matcha green tea latte. This place is great for any vibe you're in. You want to get some work done like the girlboss you are? Sit your ass down in a booth seat and take a swig of their Mango Redbull Smoothie. Feeling cozy and want to read a book? Perch yourself on their teal thrones and warm your hands with a hot chai tea. What's that? You're hungry? Wait until your taste buds feel their Caprese sandwich slide over their nerve endings and TELL ME this place doesn't deserve five stars. read more

My cousin recommended me to try this place when I am in San Diego and it was by far one of the cutest and tastiest coffee places I have been to! It was pretty easy to find, Google Map took us right to the location. There is a small parking lot next to the location but if its full then goodluck trying to find parking close by. It has indoor as well as outdoor seating option but if it was up to me I would sit inside since I really liked the decor and the vibe of the place - definitely "Instagram" worthy. It was little loud on a Sunday due to a large party - I want to say it was for a book club but I was still able to get work done. Everyone that works here were super friendly and always smiling, our barista made small talk with us. Its an affordable price, however there aren't that many size options. -- Lavender Black Tea Latte: I really enjoyed the iced latte here. My fiance doesn't usually like lavender flavor but even he mentioned that it was really good. -- Iced Caramel Buzz Coffee: it was little strong per my taste, I mean I didn't mind it because I am the type that drinks black coffee. I wish Orange County had more coffee shops like this! read more

Super cute place among the shops of Encinitas! Sadly, their espresso machines were down when we went so we were coffee-less, HOWEVER, we got blended caramel drinks and even without coffee they were stinking delicious. We left California before we got to go back on a coffee available day, but when we come back up here, we're coming back! read more

I was told this coffee joint would not disappoint and was a must try while in Encinitas. Well all those who recommended were so spot on! Better Buzz gets you in the doors with their clever name and they keep you coming back with quality and unique beverages. Pros: -Fun playful interior -Seating is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Love that they incorporate shared spaces with a community table. Don't worry if you need to zone out and work they got you covered. -BTW...check out the base of the community table...it's a "B" (insert mind blown emoji) -You must try the Lavender Tea Latte!!! The lavender pairs perfectly with almond milk. -Best Drink Ever Iced...stands up to its name. Give it a go! -Gets busy but the line and baristas work quick. Plus the wait gives you an opportunity to take in all unique details of the interior. Cons: -Gets busy quick! It is a little hipster so avoid the crowds and get your buzz right as they open read more

Passed by this coffee spot while in town visiting. Super cute from the outside and even cuter inside. Got to the counter all excited to order our drinks and as we were ordering I could tell the lady taking our order that had little stars painted on her eyes was in a mood and she definitely didn't have a "better buzz"!! It could've possibly been because " there's only two of us today they're suppose to be 5" as that's what we were told as we waited almost 15 minutes for the last of the 4 drinks we ordered. Fast forward to letting the same lady know that we're waiting for our last drink and she let us know they're on it if we could wait they're short staffed she makes my drink in a huff and I instantly knew ugh this is not gonna be nice. So disappointed!!!!!! As I watched her make my "cinnamon iced water" because that's all she put it in as I watched her make it. It was suppose to an horchata iced latte. So I stood in line to ask for a new drink. The young lady that took our order was very pleasant and sweet and even said this is not what our horchata iced lattes look like :/ second drink was good just disappointed in the service as we were excited to try a new place that looked so cute. such a bummer :/ read more

I've come here a couple times and while the food is great the customer service is awkward and uncomfortable. One man that i've seen in multiple visits moseys around and takes his time. They also don't call out mobile orders or if they see you waiting, they won't ask if you are waiting on something. Every time i've mobile ordered im left awkwardly standing there (in a mob of people) and have to squeeze to the front and ask if it's ready. They don't talk unless you talk first, which is not a good thing in a customer serviced based industry. Inside is super cute, love the decor and again the coffee is great every time, but the staff seems like they would rather be anywhere else but at work. read more

Updating my rating because I truly do love coming here, my kid loves coming here, I don't understand why they've been using a temporary brewing machine for so long but realistically I wouldn't regularly patronize what I consider to be a 2 star location hence the update. read more

I just moved to the area and decided to try this place because it's on the way to work, so I decided to ask the barista what she recommended. Not even a huge fan of coffee but the coffee was delicious. I got the hazelnut divinity with coconut milk and it was absolutely amazing. They had pastries but I did not have one personally. Like was pretty long which I imagine it usually us but plenty of seating space . read more

Amazing Staff! Such great smiles all around. Best drink ever is "The Best Drink Ever!" The bright cheerful atmosphere is always vibing positively. Nice airy atmosphere. Very clean and so many great Pastries to choose from. The Food is so good and healthy. Best Menu item in my opinion is the Avocado Toast. So yummy and a pretty Big slice of toast. I recommend it a 100 x"s over. Seriously, try the Avocado toast! Let me know what you think of it... Pass on the staff kindness to them. read more

Officially addicted. I love the "best drink ever" and it is indeed the best. This amazing coffee shop located steps from the beach has been my life saver on many morning occasions. I have been lucky enough to try the best drink ever, a zucchini muffin, and a gluten free bar. They have so many more coffees I want to try, but I just keep coming back to the best drink ever. I believe it is in fact the best drink because it has mastered the perfect ratio of bitter coffee to smooth and creamy vanilla. I have never tasted anything like it. It also packs quite a punch and can keep you going all day. The food: all the pastries are delish and I believe are made in house. Very tempting the way they sit at the front counter. The staff: always friendly and efficient. They don't keep you waiting long. I will continue to frequent better buzz locations and hopefully try some different items off the menu! read more

I really wanted to like the coffee but it was not my favorite. My boyfriend and I ordered an iced best drink ever and a frozen white mocha. Unfortunately, the best drink ever did not taste like it's name. It just was not sweet enough for our liking and the coffee was a little too watered down. We also ordered two breakfast sandwiches. We got the bacon ciabatta and the better breakfast sandwiches. The bacon ciabatta is the most amazing sandwich ever. So delicious that we returned the next morning for two more. The other sandwich was okay but definitely no comparison, bacon ciabatta is the way to go. I would recommend ordering ahead for pickup as it is pretty busy. Enter through the back door to avoid the long line if you are picking up your order. read more

Decided to go here last minute, never been before. I didn't know what to order but Danielle was freaking amazing!!!!! And suggested an oat milk chai tea latte which turned out to be bomb.com. She even wanted me to let her know what I thought after trying it. She was such a sweetheart! The açaí bowl is freaking huge! Was not expecting that. It's definitely worth the price and so yummy. I essentially got all the topping on top. They are generous with their toppings too. I hate when places are greedy and barely put anything on top. It lived up to the hype and expectations. I've been eyeing this coffee place for a while now because I've seen it a lot online and it's definitely aesthetically pleasing. I was wondering if it tasted as good as it looks and IT DOES. We got the best drink ever (YES!!) and hazelnut divinity. Best drink ever is so yummy and creamy; usually coffee has that bitter taste but this drink is smooth and makes you want more. Hazelnut divinity is smooth and much sweeter (if you have the sweet tooth for it, this is it). I'm a fan. I wish they had better buzzed coffee in LA read more

I hate to give businesses a bad review however customer service is everything to me and unfortunately my experienced sucked. Considering that it was my first time, I let the cashier (short dark hair) know that it was my first time, she didn't seem very welcoming. It seemed as if she wanted me out right away, she had an attitude and I didn't like it. I ordered an iced Honey Latte, it was 10/10 the only thing that I didn't like is that it was full of ice. I literally only took like 7 sips and it was gone. Not only was the cashier girl rude, the barista did not even bother to make eye contact or anything (I wanted to thank her for my coffee but had already had turn her back) and for those reasons I will NEVER come back or recommend this shop to anybody. The EMPLOYEES are not welcoming, happy or sociable. Your company should be upbeat for a coffee shop, not depressed. read more

I don't know what it is about the BDE but it's supppppper addictive. Whenever we travel to SD we go here and then I dream about the drinks until we can return again. The service isn't very speedy because it's always packed, but they do a pretty good job of getting things out as fast as possible despite the long line. I've tried most of the food items, and the open faced toasts are all so good. They have GF bread too, which is awesome. read more

Cute place but bad coffee. Burnt Espresso, I wouldn't get coffee here personally. Their other colorfully drinks looked fun tho.

Let me tell you something about BETTER BUZZ, they know how to HIRE! I love their staff, especially michaela She is helpful AND hilarious She helped me decide if I wanted a PUMPKIN SPICE or a MOCHA . I went with the MOCHA!!!!! Other places I've gone, the Mocha smelled like dog food, so I was hesitant, NOT AT BETTER BUZZ! I will be back for another delicious MOCHA!!!!!! read more

The place was very busy but service was fast. There is whole bean coffee for sale from all over Central America. Will definitely go back next time I am in this area. First time here after hearing so much about it. This place is pretty hipster and has a cool setting. I had the pitaya bowl and coffee which both were good.
