amazing coffee!! carmel buzz i highly recommend it is the best drink ever! great service!

really good coffee! the best drink ever is my go to. i wanted to try out their food and the barista at the counter, victoria or veronica (i'm horrible with names) extremely nice and really helpful, suggested the better breakfast sandwich with avocado and tomatoes. best decision ever made! so if you want good coffee, really yummy food, and great customer service go to the encinitas location. read more

Good coffee, and minimal, but healthy and delicious menu. Staff are all super nice and cool which makes up for it being busy and sometimes pretty slow. Great location. read more

We didn't have coffee, but it awesome. We visit the Point Loma one all the time. We did have the Avo toast and a Croissant. They were amazing. The girls were super nice. The layout is amazing. I will certainly be back. read more

This was my first time here but what a cute and friendly atmosphere this coffee shop is. If I lived in Encinitas I would come here on the regular. Me and my boyfriend shared the "Best drink ever" it was delicious, I love an Americano plus vanilla- The perfect drink for me. They also have a cute selection of t-shirts that have catchy phrases about "buzzed". When I'm going or coming back from San Diego I'll definitely stop here again. read more

This is a nice place to get some work or studying done (and thankfully, they have a lot of seating). I had an açai bowl and a black iced tea latte and both were really good. Probably one of the best iced tea lattes I've had! read more

Came into Better Buzzed and ordered an OG bowl with coconut (extra charge). My bowl came without coconut, and I waited for someone from the back to come out so I could ask if there was coconut in it or not. I asked one of the baristas, and instead she rolled her eyes, and took it to the back. She came out with it drenched in coconut. I only asked a simple question since I paid extra for this, and instead, received a passive aggressive response. Won't be returning to this location again. read more

It's crowded, it's noisy, the service is slow.... but the coffee... it's really good... every time. Better Buzz is one of my favorite coffee houses in North County! read more

So I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt seeing as the vibe is cool and since they are new, however my experience was unfortunately less than superb. Service was slow, but I'm used to waiting for good coffee so I wasn't immediately turned off by that fact. The problems started when my friend, who ordered first, spent a few minutes trying to clarify his order that kept getting entered in wrong. When it was all said and done, he was still charged for a drink he didn't order. My order was straight forward, the Moonlight Date smoothie. However when I went to pick it up, it was the chocolate smoothie. Not wanting to be obnoxious, I offered to take that drink but they insisted on remaking it, which was nice. However once I received the correct drink, I was disappointed to find it rather watered down with large chunks of the ingredients in the bottom; everything from ice to dates. Long story short, I'll be back to try some coffee and give it another go around once they get the kinks worked out. For now, I'll stick to the number of other great coffee shops in the area. read more

Call me old school but I just don't feel comfortable with a large dog lounging and eating in the center of a restaurant or coffee shop. Then the owner took the dog into the bathroom and all I could think about was what was it doing in there? Drinking from the toilet? Who knows but health laws had to be broken. The coffee was good, especially enjoyed the Gibraltar which is a cute serving of ristretto shots over a very large ice cube, lightly sweetened and a tiny pitcher of cream for a pour over. Delicious. read more

Just stopped by on a rainy Sunday. So much better than what I expected! I stopped in because Yelp said it was a bagel joint, which I think they need to change. The breakfast sandwich was amazing and the aoli sauce added a great kick to the sandwich. I got the best of everything coffee and it was amazing. I wish the lady at the counter stated that it was a sweet coffee. Some people don't like that. Other than that it was an amazing breakfast! I will come back! read more

Decided to try the place out as an alternative to Starbucks. It was crowded and the seating limited; people come in with laptops and lounge around for extended periods, tying up the space. The prices are as high or higher than Starbucks and the coffee wasn't impressive. It took forever to get our order also - and it was just coffee! It is an attractive shop, but the prices and product are not impressive. I doubt that I'll go back. read more

Best f***ing coffee ever. So smooth and gets you wasted! Try the KLLER BEE. If you Love coffee and haven't tried this you got to go. Seriously. Tried the PB location too, better at Encinitas. read more

Best drink ever says it all. Iced is best. Great service, hate the long line and lack of parking. But, still always want it and the security guy is super cool. Never eaten there but never had a drink I didn't like. read more

Ariel is by far the best barista I have ever had. I will definitely be coming back here for my coffee. Atmosphere is ideal!

Great coffee spot in Encinitas! I'm a huge fan of their Açai bowls and iced coffee. Staff is great and the manager Ariel is always super friendly! Highly recommend. read more

I thought I had already reviewed my favorite coffee/tea place. I can't believe I haven't yet! I'm here at least once a week if not more. I don't drink coffee but when I'm here I love to get their chai latte with nonfat milk. They do a great job :) Depending on the barista I've gotten some cool designs drawn in my chai! I've also tried a few of their sandwiches and the acai bowls. I've had the breakfast egg sandwich without meat and substituted in avocado. This is a pretty hearty meal and will leave you satisfied. I've had the avocado toast which I know most people like, but I think in general (not Better Buzz's fault) I find avocado toast too bland- I know, it's weird. I've also had the vegetarian option they have for sandwiches which is just tomato and mozzarella which is pretty good too but I prefer the egg sandwich. Of the acai bowls I love the hippie bowl since I do love me some bee pollen :). I have yet to try one of the smoothies but overall great place, great ambience, mostly great service. I'll obviously be back. I have the Black Card (Better Buzz's reward system) so I better represent. read more

Got a Killer Bee (coffee & espresso shot) - very good - nice and smooth. Only thing I missed was the espresso crema on top - got blended into the coffee! Still delicious. Will return!!! read more

Haven't been in 2 months and regret going in again this morning. It's 7AM and there are 5 drinks waiting to be made and no one is in the bar area. There is always a significant wait for your drink. It's just not a place to frequent regularly, service is terrible except for the cashiers I've found and it's overpriced. read more

This is my favorite Better Buzz location. The atmosphere and location make the already fantastic coffee taste even better. I always make a detour to stop here when I am in Encinitas. read more

I love the Better Buzz. My wife and I did a survey of all of the coffee places in Encinitas... and there are many. Better Buzz landed in the Top 3... excellent coffee, comfortable atmosphere and good pastries. The best cup of coffee in a large comfortable mug. Delicious and recommended. read more

I love their chai latte with almond milk. I ask for mine with half the sweetener because the original version is way too sweet for me. I love how they use real chai tea instead of a powder flavor. read more

I like the ambiance and the fact that their baked goods are from Bread and Cie. Sadly, the coffee we ordered was not up to snuff (too sweet). We dumped it. Perhaps the simple espresso drinks might be better. But I don't think I am going back there for coffee again. I prefer the other one up north. read more

First time to experience what all the buzz is about! Pun intended. Atmosphere is great with the open air "bar" and simple natural decor. I ordered the lavender iced tea, not knowing it was not naturally flavored as they used a lavender syrup. I don't like any sweeteners in my tea so I was quite surprised as I thought it was a "natural" coffee and tea bar. I returned it for a basic iced black tea and was pleased. The girls working were very friendly and happy to accommodate us(my sister returned her coffee drink as she wasn't pleased either with it being too sweet). The other thing they don't do is tea refills! Not even at a less charge! We all know tea is pennies and if I already paid $4.50 for a regular tea with the cup , the company is loosing less to no money by refilling it. I would recommend to visit and enjoy the atmosphere but probably will not be going back myself. read more

I had their "The Best Drink Ever" today and it was the best cup of coffee I've ever had. I don't even like coffee and the drink was delicious. I can't wait to go back. read more

Slow production, long lines, but stellar coffee and sandwiches.

I have frequented better buzz for a long time, but at the PB location! Moved to Carlsbad and checked out this new location. I love their coffee but love their acai bowls even more, but not at the Encinitas location. It was literally granola with two dollops of a sticky Icey acai moxture and fruit. I paid 12 bucks for it. Very disappointing. Nice atmosphere tho and still good coffee just don't order the smoothie bowls!!!! read more

I love their coffee and the staff I order from are always really friendly and ask all my curious questions about coffee . Couple things I don't like are one, the lines but that I can deal with. The other thing is that I was there working on my computer and had bought a large best drink ever (mind you that's five bucks) and a guy came up to me and said his manager was trying to keep it to an "hour limit"! What?! I mean I get it don't stay there all freakin day and order one thing but I come there often and usually get one to two drinks for a 1-3 hour period, also don't design your coffee shop to be so study friendly if you don't want people going there to work! read more

Great place to work (lots of outlets), hang with friends, and people watch with the front windows open. Great coffee & avocado toast. Awesome Encinitas vibe! Totally recommend this place! read more

Great espresso, great food, great vibe. The problem is service with long lines. Took me half an hour to get a latte! They have two registers and two espresso machines but typically only run one register and one espresso machine, even when there is a long line. Next time I see a long line....not stopping in! read more

Awesome experiences every time. I love their best drink ever and their chocolate cookie! I travel pretty far to get them but it's so worth it! read more

I'm a Coffee Lover, Better Buzz Coffee is the Best! The Encinitas location is my favorite, it's customer service is Awesome and the location is Amazing. read more

If you want to pay $6 for a cup of "coffee" wait 20 minutes for it and have them f*ck up your order while listening to pretentious douchebags... This is the place for you!!!! read more

Wonderful coffee shop on 101! I came here with my in-laws at about 9am on a Saturday, and the place was hopping! I tried 'the best drink ever', and it lived up to the hype. Our table also tried a black coffee and a cappuccino (all with rave reviews!) We enjoyed had the blueberry scone and almond croissant which were yummy. Next time I want to try the avocado toast, which looked awesome. Will return! read more

If you like your sugar with coffee and cream, then this is the place for you. Both times I've been here, I've had to toss my coffee out because it was so sickly sweet. The decor is cute, the place is always packed, but I'm wondering if these people even know what a real coffee drink should taste like. read more

It's hard to out-hip the rest of Encinitas, but Better Buzz pulls it off. It's a scene in there! I've seen students, venture capitalists, surfers, moms and toddlers, and working stiffs all enjoying the scene, Its wide open garage-door style windows make for a very pleasant work environment, even if you're seated next to a trendy hat and some chatty teens. It's a very positive vibe in there. Excellent coffee, tea and munchies-- A nice addition to Encinitas. read more

Over-rated and over-priced. Another Starbucks clone. Too bad a real, local, non-chain coffee shop didn't go in there - it's a great location. read more

I have heard a lot about better buzz but never had the time to go check it out, last Friday I wasn't having the best day so I decided to walk the 101 , I finally had the chance to try better buzz , must say that it is a very different environment to what I am use to , I am not a big coffee person so I was a little worried that I was going to look lost , when I came across the counter I still wasn't sure what to order but the cashier named Cindy was very helpful, she knew what she was talking about and recommend a very delicious coffee suggestion , she greeted me with a smile and asked how I was doing and she really looked like she cared about what I had to say , overall their coffee is great and stuff members are even better. read more

I've gone to this Better Buzz location for almost a year now, can't believe I haven't posted a Yelp yet! Their coffee literally has me stoked and ready for my work day, right down the street from house, luckily. Although, I would drive a good few miles to reach my best BUZZ location. Their cold brew with half and half is simple and delicious, wow! I've had the ham and cheese croissant and breakfast sandwich, both amazing! Couldn't be happier with the great service of the bright and smiling crew, Ariel comes to mind when I think of an awesome morning! read more

Cool place to enjoy great coffee. Very friendly staff too. I left my wallet by mistake and they kept it safe for me. Thanks again guys!
