I used to love stopping by coffee shops and studying while in college while I lived in San Diego. Recently it's not the same because I just have such a strong reaction to caffeine and sugar, as it would keep me up at night. I had to get one as I wasn't able to go to the bathroom my entire trip...unfortunately this didn't help. Which makes me wonder if it has much caffeine content or I got a watered down version? Sad. The shop was still cute and bathroom well maintained. Not sure if it was worth the $5+ though. read more

Loved this spot!! My family needed a caffeinated pick-me-up so we swung by the first coffee shop we saw. Better Buzz didn't disappoint! They have a cute interior and offered generously sized free samples of their newest cold brew which was delicious. The line was long, but moved quite quickly with the great service! My coffee was good and my family members enjoyed theirs as well. Great place to grab coffee to go or to dine in. Clean public restrooms as well. Also dog friendly! They even offer dog treats! Very cute atmosphere and indoor decor, but the drinks themselves aren't very tasty. The iced horchata doesn't take like horchata (more like iced coffee), and the smoothie took 15 minutes to make. Cute place, but there's better coffee out there. read more

Burnt coffee, and bitter draws for both the latte and cappuccino. Microfoam was agitated milk. Threw the two drinks as they were disgustingly awful. A true first , that espresso drinks were so bad that I had to dispose of them. Cashier was no help, could not even get the names right let alone correct the issue. read more

I decided to give this place another shot because I absolutely hate leaving awful reviews, especially with the places as popular as this one. I tried to get more recommendations on coffee spots in the area and every one just pointed at Better Buzz. I really didn't wanna come back due to the experience I had earlier in the week but my gut (not my clients ) told me to go back. I do have to say that girls in the evening are a lot nicer and more pleasant than the ones in the morning. I ordered a "Caramel Vanilla best drink ever" It was actually pretty good! Fantastic alternative than that popular chain coffee shop . Would I recommend this spot to others? Based on the service I received the second time, Absolutely. I probably would have brought it to the attention of the ladies in the morning had they been a little more approachable Thank you Better Buzz Coffee. I will be back next time I'm in town read more

Super nice customer service very attentive with positive energy. I always come here every morning and they great me with a smile. James was super welcoming and had a very high energy. The drink was somewhat "healthy", but not a good-tasting matcha beverage, and a bit too expensive for the quality you get. I'd liken it to watered down strawberry almond milk.

I had such a great experience at Better Buzz Coffee in Coronado! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and upbeat. I ordered the almond croissant, and it was absolutely phenomenal. It was perfectly soft and buttery, with a rich, creamy filling inside that made every bite feel indulgent. We were greeted with warmth from a gentleman named Chris. He looked a lot like Usher (if you don't know, he is a singer). You can't go wrong with the ambience. The San Diego beach is right there. The Hotel Del Coronado is quite a historic place. The history that goes along with it is quite interesting. We stopped by Better Buzz in Coronado while visiting from out of town, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with such a chill vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, but Chris especially stood out--he seemed to pick up that we weren't locals and went out of his way to make our visit feel extra special. 5 Stars - A Coronado Gem! Better Buzz is easily my favorite spot on the island. The vibe is always on point, but the service from Chris made this visit exceptional. He was incredibly friendly and made me feel like a regular the second I walked in. Their menu is super innovative compared to your average coffee shop. I grabbed a smoothie and a hot latte, and both were 10/10. The smoothie was fresh and perfectly blended, and the latte was smooth, rich, and clearly crafted with care. better buzz in coronado is unlike any other better buzz location. the environment ranges from an electric atmosphere to a calm sanctuary for deep conversation. the music dances across the pop genre instantly putting you in a good mood as you sip the best coffee in san diego. the staff at this location genuinely care about your caffeine intake and therefore your well being. many of the staff greet us regulars by name and chris especially radiates positive and genuine energy. my mom and i find peace and happiness here. i suggest you do too. read more

Pros: top line espresso machine (La Marzocco), lots of space to sit and enjoy Cons: only 2 sizes, large and extra large! (no 8oz caps or 12oz lattes here. And everything is a sugar heavy concoction. No straight coffee drinks anywhere on the menu, but I ordered a plain latte anyhow and it came sweetened by default. I had them remake it, which they were happy to do. :) Drinks can be ordered "half sweet" and my husband's half sweet vanilla latte was still a sledgehammer of sweet. So maybe order 1/4 sweet?! read more

We had BOGO 1/2 half off drink coupons on the app, so we decided to come in! Boy was this place slammed on a very busy Sunday. The team behind the bar was absolutely crushed it! I saw how many cups they had lined up on the counter and the two baristas they had on the bar (Meg and Paola) were cranking these drinks out as quick as they could. I recently checked out Better Buzz at downtown Coronado, and it was a great experience! I got a vanilla latte, and I'm glad to report they are consistently good across their many locations. The vibe was chill, perfect for hanging out. Plus, the service was super quick, so I didn't have to wait long. Definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're in the area at Coronado. Better Buzz Coronado is the best location in all of San Diego! Sadie and Ian had the best customer service. I got the OG açaí bowl and the Pink Dragon, and it was the best meal and drink combo I've in my life. No exaggeration! The store was clean, and the vibes were warm and welcoming. I would say decent coffee, a little bitter, but I do always get an espresso with a little bit of creamer or oat milk to kind of downplay the bitterness so that help with the environment.
