This is the newest Better Buzz location to open. Decorations were very nice, clean, and modern. There is no drive thru and street parking can be a little difficult. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was nice. However, there were a few issues. We ordered a hot Pumpkin Spiced Latte which was good. We also ordered the iced Pumpkin Spiced Latte which we could not drink. The drink was too thick and every sip was just a bunch of pumpkin mix or something. No matter how much we stirred it up, it did not get better. Sadly, we had already left by the time we tried the drink, so we could not go back in to try to get a replacement. We also ordered the Ube Cookie. We waited around a bit for our cookie and had to follow-up with the staff. They had forgotten about our cookie. The cookie tasted more like a sugar cookie. Could not taste the ube. All we could taste was the sugar from the frosting. The frosting and the sprinkles were not needed. We will probably give them some time to iron out the kinks before we head back and give them another try. We know their potential since we go to their other locations. read more

So glad this was right by the hotel I was staying at. I went a couple times with friends and ordered the iced pumpkin chai and the hot white chocolate peppermint mocha. The inside was very cute and on theme for the name, and the service was pretty quick. They had samples out the second time I went, which was great. I was able to try the cookie butter cold brew. I would come back here again but maybe make a couple edits to my order and have it a touch less sweet. read more

It's always a pleasure to come to the Better Buzz in Coronado, the staff, especially Diego, are always so accommodating and friendly! The wait is never long, and my drink always hits the spot. I love that they offer pup cups with a dog biscuit on top, it makes for the perfect photo op. The restaurant is always tidy, and there is usually plenty of seating. This was my go to spot on a work conference. I visited close to 4 times throughout the week. The coffee was incredible and the atmosphere and music were the upbeat coffee house vibes you forgot you needed on a sunny afternoon. If you get a pastry, get a warmed pistachio croissant that they bring in from a local bakery. The additional portion of pistachio that sits on top gives the an optimal ration of flaky pastry to sweet, floral nutty goodness. I know it's a chain but it's a must visit if your from the east coast like me read more

I upgraded to housemade almond milk (+$1). Total was over $11, more than I typically pay for matcha (~$8). The matcha came out within 10 minutes, but it wasn't great, as far as matcha goes. It's supposedly made with ceremonial grade matcha, but I couldn't taste it in the drink. The strawberry syrup was bland. I had such a great experience at Better Buzz Coffee in Coronado! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and upbeat. I ordered the almond croissant, and it was absolutely phenomenal. It was perfectly soft and buttery, with a rich, creamy filling inside that made every bite feel indulgent. The flavors were vibrant and almost explosive, the balance of flaky pastry and sweet almond cream was simply outstanding. You can really taste the quality. Kiara, who assisted me, truly elevated the entire experience. She was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and attentive. Her genuine smile and natural professionalism made me feel valued as a customer. She carries herself with a level of poise and customer service excellence that is rare to find, thoughtful, efficient, and sincerely kind. It's clear she takes pride in what she does. Her assistant, Julia, was also incredibly pleasant and helpful, contributing to the positive energy of the space. Between the delicious food and the outstanding service, this visit was memorable. 5 Stars - A Coronado Gem! Better Buzz is easily my favorite spot on the island. The vibe is always on point, but the service from Chris made this visit exceptional. He was incredibly friendly and made me feel like a regular the second I walked in. Their menu is super innovative compared to your average coffee shop. Pros: top line espresso machine (La Marzocco), lots of space to sit and enjoy Cons: only 2 sizes, large and extra large! (no 8oz caps or 12oz lattes here. And everything is a sugar heavy concoction. No straight coffee drinks anywhere on the menu, but I ordered a plain latte anyhow and it came sweetened by default. The only other off the top of my head is San Luis Obispo Roasters. This is a great option particularly for those who are sensitive to acidic drinks or would be great after you want coffee after a long night of drinks! PArking - street parking. There was plenty of parking during the early morning but not sure how it would get during the middle of the day,

I ended up getting a earl grey iced matcha with honey, a diet coke for my best friend and pup cup for my little Pomeranian Kodi. The baristas are super friendly, they were so generous with the pupcup, my little 10 pound pom loved. My latte was really nice too you can really differentiate between the Earl Grey and the matcha which was nice. It really gave me the caffeine I needed. It was so nice to be able to buy my books and then get a latte and read outside, definitely going to come back for books and bevvys. Also, they had a kiosk where you can buy Pokemon cards which was pretty cute.

I ordered an iced latte with oat-milk and a little breakfast sandwich on an English Muffin as well. The coffee was very good. It was smooth and silky from a barista blend of oat-milk. The breakfast sandwich was good. They prepare the egg with a runny yolk, so be careful. Mine burst with a yolk stream when I bit into the sandwich. On a good note, the little breakfast sandwich was quite good. The sandwich came with one fried egg, bacon, and cheese. You can choose sausage, too. The hospitality was very good. The young lady who took my order was nice and service was efficient. The sandwich was made to order and came out in a timely manner. They offer some comfortable seating outside. It is a great place for people watching, not to mention to find that special book.

At one point, he waved the silverware in my face because I didn't realize he was trying to hand it to me. When I asked him about a pastry I had ordered, his response was, "I don't bring pastries. I bring food," which came across as unnecessarily rude. When I finally received my croissant, it was stale. The breakfast burrito was actually good, and the ladies at the front were great, but the service afterward really took away from the overall experience.

Welcome to coffee greatness!…read more We are from the Pacific Northwest, and we drink a lot of coffee. From the moment we walked into the bright, clean, and welcoming shop, we had a feeling we would be getting some great coffee. We were greeted with a smile and asked if we had been to Blue Bottle before, which we hadn't. It was explained to us how oat milk is the standard, which we had never tried. We went with oat milk, and super-glad we did. Both our coffees were perfectly made and amazing. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere while people walked by to go to their daily jobs. Since we had such a wonderful experience, we returned multiple days to the same location. One visit one of our coffees was made incorrectly, but immediately fixed after we asked. I would highly recommend visiting anytime you are in downtown San Diego!

Considering we were their first customers of the day, we certainly didn't feel like we received the best treatment. We waited 20 minutes, and they still weren't taking food orders. I probably won't be returning to this coffee shop.

The place is quaint and cute with its flowers around the windows 9/10. Service was also good. She was friendly and helpful 10/10. We tried out their 2 signature lattes, baklava and Dubai chocolate to go along with their infamous mango cake that we shared. Drinks were good but nothing special, and a bit overpriced at $8 each 7/10. The mango cake, though was good, was a bit overpriced too, at $14.99. It looked just like a mango, which is what I got it in the first place, so as far as looks 10/10. But for taste, it lacked the mango I was hoping for 6/10. They also have other pastries, like macarons. Overall, it's worth a visit while at Seaport Village, but not sure if it's a place I'd go back to often.
