I said no thank you as I have purchased from this location before. I went straight to the dept and I noticed a gentleman helping a customer, he stood next to me and did not ask if I needed assistance. Two other gentlemen walked by as I just stood there and not one asked if I needed assistance as the third person was walking by I finally said excuse me can I get some help, he said I'm sorry I work in the back but I will get someone, he went up to the front and sent an associate to me. Bought a Sonos wireless speaker from Best Buy for a birthday gift 3 weeks ago. Speaker will not connect to wireless without an update. Sonos said to return the speaker to the store where we bought it. I was reading these reviews and have to say think they are lying! We have had nothing but problems with this store.! We waited hours at the store to purchase the items and to schedule geek squad to come out and they showed up with half the order and didn't complete the tasks, they had us make two appts and didn't even show up for the second one no call nothing. I purchased an open box TV online. The description was excellent condition. When it arrived the screen was cracked. It had three pieces of cardboard taped to the TV. It was not even in a box! There was no packing material or protection for the screen during shipping. When I returned it to the Warwick store they just laughed and said this happens all the time with the online orders. My first experience was a mobile pick up because I was afraid of dealing with rude employees but that definitely was NOT the case in any of my 3 experiences. Okay so let's start off by their hours. They close at 7 pm now because at 7:05 Covid must kick in. Not their fault, it's the ridiculous crap we're fed. My daughter wanted to upgrade her IPhone and for the latest of course and Best Buy had a better trade in as opposed to going into a Verizon store (by $50). I really don't wanna knock anyone's work knowledge (but I'm seriously doing it now). Judging by the customer service, you'd think we were the first to walk in to switch to the the next model. I'm okay with the long line due to the Covid crap, but when we finally got a rep to help with the simple directions of transferring her phone criteria (very simple) sadly this guy didn't have the simple criteria to establish this. After we stood there trying to figure it out, (without him), it was a simple fix. Best Buy had a good deal for a trade in, but the wait time and lack of knowledge wasn't worth the small savings. I was greeted by this manager who directed me to a specific area in the front of the store. The product wasn't easy to find. Luckily, it was early in the day and another staff member walked by and assisted, but then, I and another customer waited for 10 mins while 1 cashier and 1 customer service employee struggled with separate systems' issues. When customer-service-guy radioed this manager, she stared at him and let him struggle through the problem. She never moved or helped. The man he was assisting was returning a product he bought 5 mins earlier and the system wouldn't process the return. The picture shows her close proximity to assist either the customer service guy or the cashier (where we were standing). I also asked her if there was another register to check-out, but no. I don't need this type of aggravation first thing in the morning, and this treatment is why customers are frequenting Amazon and/or leaving brick and mortar stores to work for Amazon. Outstanding service! When my dishwasher died the repairman told me I should just buy a new one. I thought about it and went to Best Buy and found one I could afford. I applied for a credit card upon their recommendation and got a delivery date. When I got home I thought "NO!!" MY dishwasher was only less than 4 years old and cost close to $1000. So I called GE customer relations and after hours of waiting and a week of back and forth they finally offered to fix it at no charge to me. So, I went to Best Buy, told them what happened and they immediately refunded my $825 and canceled the delivery date. Very easy!! That same week after they saved me over $800 bucks I ordered my iPad mini and I also bought a new DVD player after mine stopped working a day ago. It all worked out. Was in Best Buy the night of 7/15/24 around 6 PM. FIVE people in the tv area...and two of us were wanting to buy a new TV. I knew what brand and size I wanted...but they had that particular one in the back. I needed an employee to get it for me. MANY employees walked by...not ONE person stopped to ask any of the five of us if we needed help or had questions. After 10 minutes, I told one couple I was leaving....and would stop at a store closer to home in CT. I wished them luck. I USED to live in RI and while service in that store was never great in the TV area...this was the worst I've seen. Our last purchase at Best Buy was 23 years ago before buying a computer there recently. Why? Extremely poor customer service back then. In addition to the laptop, we purchased the "Geek Squad" contract and were assured by 3 individuals and also stated on the contract that if we had any questions, simply call and that they were there to assist in any way. REALLY? By the following weekend after setting up the new laptop, I had a few questions and attempted to call. Expectedly, there was a robot on the other end. Each attempt to speak with someone was met with a fast busy signal with no way to leave a message. This continued from 12 noon to 6:30 at night. Saturday morning at 6:30 yielded the same result. Various streaks of blue shirts might have whizzed through the periphery in the ten minutes I waited for the ghost town to regain life, but none willing to help until a gentleman named Brandon at least made a valiant attempt to recuperate what was now my seething anger at brazen ineffectiveness in retail "service." I give him credit, but when I found that the computer I'd grabbed was overstock of another desktop, and they were, in fact, out of stock on what I was looking for, I'd had it, and walked out, seething. You can not get through to the local store Warwick RI because it gets transferred to a call center every single time. Those people aren't able to help at all. I went in person and the sales associate was suppose to call me on Monday with a resolve to this and it is now Tuesday and still no call. Her "direct line" goes right to call center also. Recently I bought a Escort 360 Max radar detector at the Seekonk store.Although the detector worked well, the cord was very thick and I wanted a more discreet model. I chose the Uniden model which can be cordless. The Seekonk store did not have it, so I went to Warwick. I tried to return the previous detector however I used a combination of cash and some prepaid Visa cards I had. The manager stated that they could give back the cash but because I did not have the physical cards on me that I would have to call corporate office. (Who keeps prepaid cards with no money on them I just gave them to the salesperson to throw out). Anyway I called corporate which is a huge endeavor now that they have a call center and they told me I could only get store credit. So I went back to Warwick to explain this and the manager heard the story, but explained she would also have to call and it coul not be done right away and I would have to come back. The manager and I played phone tag through the call center and finally they got the store credit. I happen to be in the Seekonk area and tried to do the "transaction " of exchanging detectors with the store credit however the manager replied that can only be done in the Warwick store because they have the cards. I was quite surprised since Best Buy does not have franchises they are a chain. The manager said they would have to mail the cards from Warwick!!? I was understably very upset because I do not live close to either location and don't understand why the stores could not accommodate the situation. (The manager seemed very confused why I was so upset, HELLO wake up!). They even called each other but could not make it happen!, So I wentback to Warwick another day despite my very busy schedule when I explained the situation to customer service they were dumbfounded because none of this info was in their computer...Eventually the manager came over and after my now lengthy explanation they were able to help. Obviously this situation was ridiculous that the two stores in a chain could not accommodate the customer despite having the receipt. Very disturbing but I will remember to "hang on" to the the prepaid card until completely satisfied. Today I had an appointment to get the back of my phone fixed. I was informed that i would need to backup my phone and I made sure that was done before my appointment. When i got my phone back my phone did not connect to my data carrier because they lost my SIM card. Then proceeded to argue and say there was no SIM card to begin with, when I know for a fact that there was a physical SIM card in my phone. They were nice about the situation and got me a new SIM card but I lost all of my contacts and apps. And it took almost 3 hours to actually get my phone to work again. read more

Went to Best Buy to purchase a specific TV today. I had my mind set on what I wanted, but the sales rep pushed and pushed to get me to buy something else. Even after being blunt and firm with him, he continued to push. When did this store turn into a sales den? I had to flat out tell the guy if he pushed me to try and buy something else again I would ask for a manager. Even then he made a snide remark about the TVs refresh rate as I was paying for it. What a completely crappy customer service experience. So I finally get the TV home. Take extreme care unpacking it and setting it up (I know how fragile they can be), only to have it busted right out of the box. What a waste of time! Hm, I don't come in hardly at all but I had an amazing experience and I wanted to share it in case anyone is in need of electronics , in particular laptops. My mother was interested in a specific laptop, but I came to assist to help her out so she can find exactly what she was looking for, so many options. As we glance around alone there's a lot of help on the floor available at any time, you're greeted with amazing smiles and so much help and answers to all your questions. So many options , but in specific detail my mom wanted a laptop that could help her with her drawing. So boom we get a young man named Brandon H, amazing young man. He had smiles the whole way showed us numerous options, gave us suggestions and helped us out for almost 2 hours to decide what would be the best fit. Unfortunately what my mom wanted they didn't have that available at this location and Brandon assured us we could get it mailed to the house or get it at another location and it would be waiting for her at the front desk. So many options he also mentioned some accessories we were looking for they could price match it to amazon prices online. Brandon seemed to be very educated in answering all the questions we had. In the end Brandon made a sale , and my mother left happy. She ended up buying the more expensive laptop because it had lot options and she deserved it . I meant to add Brandon made sure to show us all of what the laptop could do for what she was exactly looking for , he let us try it out as well so we knew this would be a great fit. This store is very clean , and like I said so many people on the floor to help with all your needs. It seems as though everyone is very nice. This store shares a parking lot with Savers and it does get hectic inside and outside the store. But nevertheless it was an amazing experience and I hope Brandon H gets some recognization, because my mother after awhile was ready to leave and didn't want to look anymore but he helped us stay on track and she left very happy with her new laptop. I am having MAJOR issues with delivery/install with BestBuy. I have made AND confirmed 3 appointments for April 17th, April 24th and April 27th. I made the April 27th FOUR times yesterday, including once with a live agent. All were confirmed via email and text. Within an hour of each confirmation, I receive a text telling me that I need to schedule my appointment. I have missed TWO days of work (because delivery window is 7am-7pm). Last night, I received another text telling me that I need to schedule my appointment. I go on and now MAY 1st is the only availability. I have spoken with live agents and now a SUPERVISOR. "I understand your frustration Ms C******r but there is nothing we can do. Our system only allows us to schedule what is available". Well, ALL of these days WERE available and now they are asking me to miss ANOTHER day of work. Update: I have had to schedule May 1st FOUR times today so far. Lots of stuff A store located right on on Rt. 2 in the middle of the magic mile. A zillion different stores and restaurants are crammed in this relatively small area. Just about anything you could possible want can be found around here. The store itself has a nice selection of computers, keyboards and monitors. Service isn't great but someone to help can usually be found without too much trouble. The store also has some nice large screen televisions and a separate room to view them, plus a small room for audio devices. A large portion of the store is dedicated to video games and systems. PS3, Xbox and Wii are displayed and some demos are can be played around with. An abundance of games and accessories for the systems are available. A nice store to geek around in if you are looking for some electronics. read more

I purchased an item which was opened and had been marked as a "return or floor sample"; I specifically asked if there was anything wrong with it, and - of course - was told NO, and that it had been thoroughly checked. Did it work? NO. If it had been even checked for one second by a 10 year old, they would have known, so my guess is that the first purchaser returned this for the same reason. Brought it in, informed them that they really should not sell it to a third person, and the guy at the returns desk said "OK, I will have the Geek Squad check it out". Great. We purchased four or five TVs for our brand new home and we alsoV pay the annual service and maintenance fees for GEEK SQUAD services. The main TV which is a 75 inch and sits in our living room has issues with flickering and jumping etc. two people came and looked at it they did the diagnosis, and that was two months ago they keep scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling. They've done this at least four or five times and the next appointment is for this Saturday, 10/22/22. I have this gut feeling that on Saturday morning we will be receiving another email saying that "your appointment has been canceled and rescheduled for blah blah blah". How does a giant company like this screw around with a customer that spent several thousand dollars on products and pays for service and maintenance agreement? So screw them and buy your TV from Amazon, And if there's an issue with it hire a handyman for 80 bucks an hour and at least you know you'll get the job done right away read more

Poor customer service! We bought all our appliances there just over 5 years ago, and wouldn't you know, just after our 5 year warranty ends, our oven stopped working. We called them and they said to contact some 3rd party company. What! No help there. Called them up and it cost me $140 over the phone just to have a guy come out. Guy comes and trash talks our oven saying 'yeah, always problems with this one'. Just wonderful. The estimate was as much as what we paid for the stove and won't have a warranty. No sense in that so we went back to the store thinking they would be able to do something for us, but the manager couldn't of cared less! Basically told us 'oh well'. He said 5 years was the going life span of a new stove! What!! We replaced our appliances after 30 years! What a load of crap! Then said he could give us 10% off a new oven 'but only if the computer allows it': Another load of crap! Then he said his boss would call us in a few days. Guess what? 3 weeks later and we're still trying to get in touch with him because we're getting blown off! You have left a lasting impression of how this store is truly run!
