Long-Time Builder--Extremely Disappointed, Done With Yale Electric and Samsung Appliances! As long-time builders with over two decades of partnership with Yale Appliance -- and more than 11 years with the same sales representative -- it's disappointing to write this. But the recent experience one of our customers had with a full suite of Samsung kitchen appliances, all purchased through Yale and installed in 2020, leaves us with no choice. The appliances -- five in total -- were installed in a newly remodeled owner-occupied home with no children or pets. From the start, problems emerged: The refrigerator had continuous issues with a faulty ice maker and water leaks. The microwave door latch broke, and Yale's support directed the homeowner to call Samsung, who quoted over $300 to replace the door, citing discontinued parts. The dishwasher developed a seal failure and leaked. Now, just four years later, the oven has stopped working entirely. When our customer reached out to Yale in 2020 (during COVID), they were told they had to contact Samsung directly. They did, and have service records to prove it. However, now that further problems have surfaced and they requested Yale's support, they are denying assistance, claiming there is no call history in their Yale system. We've been loyal clients of Yale for 20 years, and this is the first time we've asked them to stand behind the products they sold us and our customers. The lack of ownership and refusal to support appliances they once proudly sold reflects poorly not just on them, but on us -- the builders who trusted them. The purchase cost for the above customer's appliances is 3929.93 in total. Only making our customer whole will make this right. We can no longer, in good conscience, source appliances from Yale for our projects. We urge other builders and homeowners to be cautious, particularly when considering Samsung products and counting on Yale Electric's customer support. When things go wrong, you may find yourself on your own -- as we and our customer have. read more

It took two years for Yale to finally replace our broken refrigerator. In that time, we spent about three months without a fridge, and nine months (including two Thanksgivings, and a Christmas) with a loaner fridge in our garage. We lost about a thousand dollars worth of food through it all. However, after many tantrums, Yale did replace our broken fridge and we just got a brand new one. So, yes, Yale will stand by their products, but it will take toddler-level tantrums and years to make it happen. read more

We bought a stove only a year ago. Because we like higher grade appliances we got the LG Signature full kitchen. All was perfect except issues with stove knobs not working properly. They came to repair and after three visits we contacted our Hanover MA sales person Beth and said we wanted a new stove. Even a Rolls Royce has a lemon sometimes. Beth could not have been more understanding and took care of ordering the replacement stove right away. The new stove came today and the removal and install could not have been any faster or more efficient. The movers were careful and took great care to protect our beautiful floors. The plumber quickly hooked up the new stove and they were in and out in less than a half hour. Thanks to our sales person Beth for pleasantly handling our complaint with speed and resolve. I recently purchased a range from Yale Appliance. It could not have been a better experience. Our salesman Stan was excellent. He was knowledgeable on all of the products, what was in stock and how long we could expect to wait for ranges not in stock. Once we decided on a range he walked us through the purchase and installation including arranging for a plumber to safely disconnect and cap our gas line. Knowing that we were without a working range he was even able to move up our delivery date by almost a week. Jenny was in contact with us during & after the installation to make sure everything went smoothly. The installation team including Bryon the plumber were superb. Yale's appliance prices were competitive and we paid slightly more for installation than the big box stores charge. However, their customer service was far better and they service what they sell. Yale came right out to repair a defective fridge and when it couldn't be repaired they gave us full purchase price credit towards any new fridge. Needless to say they have earned our business! We bought a GE washer/dryer in the spring of this year. We were sold on the Yale service plan because they are quick to work, within 3 days of requested, on appliances when needed. Well, we had to wait about 7 weeks the first time which seemed to fix the problem for a few weeks. The washer stopped working regularly again, so they scheduled us three months out. Here we are, using a laundry mat about 30% of the time. W/D look great, but don't work consistently. Over promised and under delivered the service plan. I would not pay for the service plan again, as they have way under delivered what we paid for. read more

After a very bad initial sales experience with Kam Appliance in Hanover, I decided to head down the street to Yale Appliance. From the minute I walked in the door I had a good feeling about this store. The very friendly receptionist greeted me, asked a few questions and told me to feel free to look around while she got a sale rep to help me. Matt came over and introduced himself and asked what I was looking for. I explained I was interested in the Thermador Professional line for kitchen appliances. He was extremely informative, found the best deals for me, (that were never pointed out at Kam) and saved me more than a thousand over Kam's quote. We purchased a professional gas range and exhaust fan/hood, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Matt was great in assisting me through the entire process from purchase to installation. We were building a new home and there was no pressure on taking delivery as we were at the mercy of our builder and his sub-contractors. When we were ready, Matt handled the transaction and set me up with the delivery/installation team who were also very professional and amazingly thorough from coming out to inspect the finished cabinet and counter installation to ensure no problems at delivery/installation. We purchased a Thermador refrigerator/freezer from Yale eight years ago. It ran trouble free until last week due to what turned out to be a very minor problem but at the time seems like a major emergency. I called at 8 AM and explained the situation to the customer service rep who was helpful and sympathetic. She said that the earliest spot was three days from then but she would try her hardest to work me in if there were a cancellation. She called back a couple of hours later and said she got a tech to come to the house at 11:30 that morning. Tony was knowledgeable and efficient - - immediately diagnosed the difficulty and fixed it quickly. We purchased the Café™ ENERGY STAR® 23.1 Cu. Ft. Smart Counter-Depth French-Door Refrigerator (Model #: CWE23SP2MHS1) from Yale Appliance. Our salesperson was very helpful. He answered my many detailed questions and provided a Zoom consultation (which saved me a long drive to the showroom). The delivery was delayed by the international supply chain problem. However, the expected arrival date was consistent and reliable. The delivery and set-up were enhanced by the prompt, friendly, courteous and efficient team. This fridge is smaller than our previous one, but I am delighted that the contents fit, with room to spare. I love the counter-depth feature, which allows more walking space between the appliance and island. We do not plan to use the built-in icemaker or water filter. I am especially fond of the interior lighting. The stainless-steel exterior is not fingerprint proof, but so far, any prints are easily removed with a soft microfiber cloth and a spritz of water. The black sides allow me to still use magnets...discretely! Overall, I am pleased with this product and service from Yale. read more

Do NOT get the extended warranty!! Yale service and repair is a joke! I purchase an entire kitchen worth of appliances - high end fridge, oven, bar fridge, dual dishwasher etc and also purchased the added service plan. My range hood keeps tripping my circuit breaker. Likely a simple $2 fix with a fuse swap, BUT I can't do that myself as I would void the warranty! Yale books appointments out 6 weeks!!! I asked to reschedule the first one, you know, life happens, and it was another 6 weeks. So 12 weeks!!!! Imagine if this was a refrigerator or an oven. Do better Yale, this is crap!! read more

My 18 year old dishwasher broke suddenly and since I didn't really care to visit a big box store during a pandemic, I decided to see what Yale Appliance had to offer. I was delighted to learn that they encouraged appointments to keep the numbers within the store low. It was simple to set up an appointment in the Hanover store the very next morning. The salesperson with whom I met understood my needs and concerns immediately. I walked out of the store having made a purchase within half an hour. The earliest delivery (with installation) that they could provide was 10 days out, but well worth waiting for. The two young men who arrived to deliver and install the dishwasher were very pleasant and efficient. In less than an hour they removed the old and installed the new without a hitch. They even arrived on the early end of the time frame I had been provided, so I have only positive thoughts about the entire experience. read more
