What they did was even better: John asked me about the problem I was giving with my dryer, was able to diagnosis over the phone and offer a simple solution - which worked! It would have been easy to take my money and then come out to diagnosis the issue, but instead he elected to solve my problem quickly over the phone. This speaks to me about the honesty of the service. If he's willing to figure out a problem and "fix" it for FREE over the phone, he is not going tell people to do unnecessary repairs when he actually comes out to someone's home. He may not be able to diagnosis your issue over the phone, but know that if offers a repair, he's not doing it simply to squeeze money out of you. If I ever have a malfunctioning appliance again, Reliable Appliance will be my first and only call and I will trust him to accurately find and fix the problem.

More than a thousand dollars in to repair my oven... and it still doesn't work. They've taken weeks…read moreto get to me. Then twice came out and couldn't fix it. The first time to assess, but didn't assess correctly and so I had to call my plumber out to put in a new gas shut off. Then they sent two guys out - one just a helper, the other one clearly had never worked on an oven like mine before. He spent a long time looking at the wiring diagram. They broke two ignitors on the stove top. They didn't test the oven thermostat. They were going to leave it a mess behind/underneath the range until I asked them to just sweep it up (even gave them my shop vac to do it.) I have another call in, hopefully I'll get one of the guys everybody raves about in these other reviews next time....

I had 2 issues when I contacted NEA. First was a malfunction of the electronic controls for my gas…read moreoven; second was a leak from the bottom of my refrigerator which turned out to be from the ice forming apparatus below which had a plugged drainage tube. The company which I normally called was overwhelmed with service calls but referred me to NEA. Following a few days wait for a part for the stove I received a call that the part was in and I would receive the service the next day. Promptly at the hour I was told the service man came (?John) and in a flash the stove was pulled out, the part replaced and the stove returned to its location. Immediately thereafter the refrigerator icing area was exposed and series of maneuvers performed and the repair was completed. No more water leak and the floor dry since; and the oven works well. Total time about 75 minutes at most. I couldn't be happier with the service I received. It is now my repair company of choice, at a very reasonable cost.

Yale's prices for appliances are competitive with the big box stores however Yale charges significantly more for installation than the competition and it's non-negotiable. If you want quick service and competent installation, I recommend Yale even though they are more expensive.
