I ordered a TV on May 26 with a haul-away feature, and they couldn't deliver until June 9th. They give you a 12-hour window (!) for delivery, 7 am - 7 pm, so I waited all day. Never received a notice of a narrower window and the delivery never came. I called close to 7 pm for an update, and was finally told that someone had called in sick. Never received a notice that I wouldn't get the delivery that day. Insisted on talking to a manager, and all he would do is schedule another delivery date--a week away. Very poor customer service. The only reason I am giving one star is because I specifically asked for a LapTop with a 5070 or above. The salesman, red head. Can't remember his name sold me a 5060. It's too late to return it but I spent over $3500 that day and at first he told me that they did not have it in stock than all of a sudden they did. It was the same laptop, just the 5060 version and I didn't notice it until later when I checked my computers specs. It's nice, runs everything well but it's not what I asked for. I don't understand why he did this because when I went in there and told him someone had sold me a used laptop and had lied about it the graphics card on it he was verbally empathic. I placed a large order through online assistance conditioned on delivery at a specific time. Online assistance assured me that was not going to be a problem. I paid 249 for delivery and installation of each of the tvs I purchased. The installation people then sent me a text with a time window that was completely impossible, and customer service was unable to alter the schedule to deliver as promised because of their "efficiency" needs. Although I do wonder if they are incentivized to sell certain brands because they seem to encourage different ones than what I'm looking for. Sometimes I forget that they sell more than computers. We provided proof via the emails sent and the employee starts yelling at my husband. The manager standing by doesn't even try to help just attacks my husband and tells him to leave. There is literally no way to actually call and talk to someone at this store and their car backup camera installation is a scam. I purchased an installation for a backup camera and then when I went to schedule the install, the website told me it was going to cost twice as much as I already paid for an installation voucher. They want to charge me an extra $150 for "hardware" in addition to the $150 I already paid for installation, which I'm sure is price gouging on these parts and then I found out there are no refunds on the installation fee. So unless I pay an additional $150 for "parts" I lose the initial $150 I paid for installation! I tried calling customer service and spoke to someone in India who couldn't help at all and when I asked to speak to my local store they said they can't transfer me and would need to fill out a request to have the local store call and it would take 48 hours to process the request. Finally found a number for the store online, ended up stuck in a phone tree loop for a while, and then eventually figured out how to request to talk to a store rep but was routed to a message that said I can't talk to anyone because it is outside business hours which wasn't true! It was 2 pm and the store is open until 9 pm. Would strongly recommend against purchasing any kind of installation from Best Buy online or you risk losing a lot of money and wasting hours being extremely frustrated. I ordered 3 TV's from them, scheduled a delivery and install date with them for a couple weeks out. I got email reminders about the delivery, even the night before it sent me a reminder and told me how to be prepared for the delivery. The window was 7am-1pm so I made sure I was awake and ready and stayed home that morning. When no one showed up by 1:30 I thought I should call to see if they could give me an idea when they would be there and I was told they wouldn't be coming at all and we would need to schedule another delivery date a couple weeks out. Every time I try to get something through Best Buy it's a horrible experience! Just stay away from them! I ended up ordering the TV's directly through Samsung and it saved me money and was faster. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. I went in to purchase a Samsung double oven. Service rep referred me to their online store since I had to order it and have it delivered. Time frame for delivery was a week out with a twelve hour window of delivery. I really think that is excessive. Oven arrived......broken. Oven would turn on but no heat from oven or range. Spent hours on the phone with Geek Squad trying to get it fixed, they referred me to Samsung who then referred me back to the Best Buy. Geek Squad put me in contact with their online service for appliances. Online Geek Squad asked if I could bring the product into the store so they could look at it in person Bring an OVEN......into the store.....so they could look at it. You could tell the guy was just reading a script. I finally just asked for a return. They scheduled a return for today, once again with a twelve hour window. I was told they would give me a more accurate time frame the day before. The day before and all day today......no update, no calls, no emails, nothing. I have called them three times today to find out when the oven would be picked up. First call, they said the truck was still in route but would be there before 7 pm as promised. Second call right at 7 pm. Was put on hold while they tried to contact dispatch. Came back and said they could not get ahold of dispatch or the driver but I was still on the schedule and they may be a little late. Third call at 9 pm. No answer, order has been cancelled, please call again tomorrow to reschedule my pickup. NOTE: They did not show up at the time frame scheduled, cancelled my order, and now I need to reschedule my pickup. The pickup will not be tomorrow, it will be days later. I have been without an oven for over a week now. I will be without an over for more than three weeks by the time they pickup my return and provide me with a refund. IF they can even do that. DO NOT order any services from them for delivery. Their customer service is THE definition of an oxymoron. There is no service provided. I went into the local store and asked about returning the oven. I spoke with the customer service rep, their response "I don't know" I spoke with that employee's supervisor, their response, "I don't know" I spoke with the floor manager, their response, "I don't know" I spoke with the store manager on duty, their response, "I don't know" The store manager tried to call customer service, he came back with no answer and said I needed to call online support directly. Mind you, this is the online support that told me to take the oven into this store so the geek squad could look at it. So I can take the oven into the store for service but I can't take the oven into the store for a return or questions about return services. At this point, I am ready to take all of my notes to my credit card and dispute the charges. Best Buy can come get their oven whenever they feel that they need it. Unfortunately, I also need to talk about the "Customer Service" line. This would receive ZERO stars in my opinion. I purchased a 2 year webroot subscription over the phone. The representative said I would receive a key code within minutes. When I did not receive said code, I called the customer service number the next day. I was on the phone for almost an hour as I was transferred from person to person. Each person said they would take care of the issue. They each said they made notes on my account to fully explain what was going on. However, when they realized they had no idea of how to fix the problem, they simply transferred me to the next person. "EIGHT" people later (no lie), I was transferred to yet "another" person where I finally gave up. I drove to the store, told Jelena what was going on and she simply took care of it. I came in to ask if BB buys/offers trade in $$ for used laptops as I recently bought a PC laptop last summer that I never ended up using for a gig. It's in great shape as it's barely used, so I thought I would try my chances at BB, where I initially bought it. The rep who I was directed to was able to quote me right away. He was very friendly and knowledgable. I was very happy with him being efficient and straightforward with me. Since the trade in offer was much lower than I expected, my only lucrative option I have is to sell privately. I went to the Sandy Best Buy - in person - and asked specifically for an HDMI to DisplayPort cable. The computer person said "this is what you need" I took it home, hooked it up, and it did not work. I did some research on-line and discovered that the DP to HDMI cables are One-Way only. They cannot transmit a signal from HDMI to DP - They only go from DP to HDMI.. - See included graphic of the product box and graphic from the Club 3D web site. - oops, they are not allowing me to attach a photo. I returned to the store to get a refund. The Tech claimed the cable goes both ways and refused to give me a refund. A Manager stopped by and she also refused to give me my money back. (Because it had been more than two weeks since purchase) I explained that the computer tech person was at fault. He had sold me an item that is NOT what I had requested (HDMI to DP) I told them the cable they sold me is only DP to HDMI and it is a one-way cable (as is says on the box - see the diagram ON THE BOX) The manager argued with me and then went into the back to consult their Geek Squad. Geek Squad said it goes both ways. I explained that I had researched the issue - They are wrong. Manager again refused to refund cost of the cable. They have wasted my time by making me drive to the store TWICE and still refused to refund the cost of the cable. (Which was THEIR mistake - they sold me an item that will not work for my application . Geek Squad is not educated on this issue (However I really prefer to say they are STUPID for not believing me and not accepting the labeling on the box they sold me) Stupid manager, stupid Geek Squad. Their online scheduling system allowed me to pick a time that wasn't actually available so then I got an email saying my appt needed to be rescheduled by phone. But Blair and Jesse were so helpful and amazing at delivering my tv and getting it onto my mount and set up! My mount wasn't really compatible with the tv but they made it work. My Son bought a TV at the Murray location . He got it home and when opening it the screen was cracked and parts of it was broke . He immediately took it back to the Sandy location because this is closer to his house . The refused to take it back in exchange for another one. They said they can't warranty it unless they deliver it . So basically accusing my Son of breaking it. They told him he would have to go to the Murray location and see if they would exchange it . He took it back to Murray and they did exchange it. This is bad customer service . What is best for the customer ? They shouldn't have to run all over town to exchange defective product. Bought a computer, and several other items from the Sandy Utah Best Buy. I paid $150 for Geek Squad to come to my house to transfer information from my old computer and set up my new computer (printer, sound bar, monitor etc). The sales person said it would be a couple of days. Before I left, he looked at their schedule and apologized that it would actually be 8 days. I determined that was fine. I cleared my schedule and took a day off. The day before Geek Squad was to arrive, I received a call from their overseas 1-800 support line and was informed that my appointment was now being pushed back and additional 2 weeks. I tried calling the store and was told I would get a call back within a couple of hours. I waited 3 hours and never got a call back. I went to the store and got nowhere with their staff. I hired a kid in my neighborhood for less money and he installed everything. He also helped me find a couple of items for less money that ended up being better products. Over the years, I've had several fruitless visits here. It's one of those places that I seem to keep checking with, but have only ever made one purchase from in all of those visits.
