Had a problem with a 5 year old dryer not heating. Took it apart and discovered issue could have been one of several parts. Called Appliance Man and the woman in the parts department was very helpful - and as I had more questions she transferred me to a tech. John stuck with me through 3 different phone calls and helped me finally figure out what the issue was. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and (fortunately) patient (insert smiley face thing here). Can not give them a high enough rating based on this experience - and will certainly shop/buy from them going forward and use them for my appliance service calls as well. We've know Appliance Man for about 15yrs. We have found some amazing deals through them. 5 years ago we bought a used Speed Queen washer from them. First washer that has lasted this long. We recently had some issues and were debating on fixing it or looking at newer washing machines. We felt it was worth fixing. It was a big job and I was concerned that we would have to go to the laundromat. We got it in the end of Thursday and had it back Monday afternoon. I was amazed that they put our washer on priority so that we could get it back so quickly. They went above and beyond. I have been to other appliance places but not happy with the service. I would recommend Appliance Man to anyone. They are very professional and did a great job of fixing my washer. GE warranty had sent another repair company out earlier to fix my washer but after a couple of attempts the original issue I'd called about regarding the washer was still there. We have a microwave that quit working... So it was under warranty, so we contacted the appliance man through the store we bought it through (Hutches in Lehi, Utah). It has been 6 weeks and several calls and we were just told there was a 'proprietary' fuse the was blown. It took six weeks to find a fuse that blows???? And of course it will take a week or more to get it in -- there is one in Florida -- sound like a story??? Anyway we use a microwave a lot and are not happy with this service. read more

I am not very happy with Appliance man by any means. We had a brand new washer stop working about 1 1/2 yrs old. It was the circuit board in which was the issue. I ordered a new one from Appliance man which if you know they are not cheap. Got the part, stalled it and had power. Stated a load and all the sudden heard a pop and circuit board no longer works again. So now I am out the money, it has been less than a day from getting the part and still a broken washer! What a dishonest store. I have bought multiple things from them, but this will be my last! Bought a brand new dishwasher, called for a warranty because the height adjuster on the rack is disintegrating .They said it was covered they would get the part and it would cost $70 to install. Which was a rack not the height adjuster. Then I called maytag myself and got the part shipped and under warranty for free. Maytag told me that the dishwasher was a 2015. I bought it in may 2018.I was never told it was discontinued in the beginning of 2018 this making our warranty years old .I went back into the store to get a receipt to send maytag for verification we had bought in 2018 and they immediately started to argue with me saying it wasn't their fault maytag regularly sends old discontinued products which is not what I'm paying for regardless of who's at fault . We had a problem with our dishwasher so I called and made an appointment with Appliance Man to come to our home. They were able to come about a week after I called. He said he found the problem and would order the part and would return the following Wednesday to repair it. He called the next Wednesday to say he would come the next day. In the meantime, the top portion of the dishwasher was left broken (the panel that covers the button area) which had never been broken before and I noticed that the dishwasher no longer sprayed the dishes like it had before. New issues since he came to diagnose the original problem. When he came to finally fix the dishwasher with the ordered parts, he said it turned out to be a different issue entirely and would need to order those parts and would be able to come back the next week.... I decided to cancel and not have them come back to fix anything. I am now looking for a new dishwasher even though mine is only 7 years old... Bummer that I wasted weeks of time and the money for them to come out and break my dishwasher even more. read more

They got the whole thing installed and set up for me without one complaint and they gave me a good deal and didn't try to gauge me because I was in a bind. I had inadvertently thrown away the shut off lever for my icemaker after returning a defective one back to the manufacturer. I had called around to numerous places checked online and finally did a little Google search for appliance parts and found Appliance Man. I explained my situation to them and let them know what make and model my refrigerator was. When I went in to the store they had the right part waiting for me and the price was very very reasonable. I had a wash machine installed. They did a great job installing the machine, but didn't put down a drop cloth so grease was tracked all over my carpet when they pulled the old unit out. I told the technicians I would call the office and let them know about the carpet situation. It took awhile for them to come back out, but the technician that got foot prints brought out a carpet cleaner and scrubbed away at it. So far I'm satisfied. I had two broken Commercial Panasonic Microwaves with different problems worth absolutely nothing if they don't work. Regular price about $400 each. Had to take them in and pay the $50 bench fee to find the specific problems. They were able to repair one with needed parts from the other and also found a replacement magnetron for just over $100 total. AND they did it in one day! Have to go along with a few others here who also gave a poor review. These guys are excellent at making excuses as to why they can't fix the problem with our GE Washer. Been to our house 2x, we've spent over $450, yet the problem persists. Although Jevon, one of their lead techs assured me he'd repaired our washer, and would happily return should we have future problems, nothing could be further from the truth. After 3 days of calling & trying to get a tech back to our house, we were told by Terri, one of owners, that "there are thousands of different washing machines brands, and their techs have to call the GE hotline for a prognosis, there is no way they could be an expert for all brands." I thought we were already paying for their expertise, unfortunately, not. This company has no customer service skills at all!! Never using them again! If you want your appliances repaired by a company with knowledge, expertise and a willingness to provide good customer service, go somewhere else!! read more
