Absolutely love this place - between the staff, the selection of feed and tack and outdoor items it just can't be beat.

Big fan of IFA in general, and this location might be the best. They go above and beyond and treat their customers like gold.

Needed to find some grass fertilizer. They were helpful. Nothing extra ordinary. Got better help at home depot.

Well, after a span of over a decade, I figure it probably is time for me to update my review of…read morethis IFA. As the weather is warming, I have been making my rounds to several stores in search of the things I need for spring gardening. This week, it was a trip to IFA to grab some fertilizer for lawn. I don't do a lot of fertilizing here, but since my former lawn care days, I help out a lot of other folks and if you're into fertilizing (which, you know, has its pros and cons) then IFA's 4-step system is a pretty slick way to get enviable grass. This store is one of the smaller ones in the area but for sure they've moved things around and made more space as it's an entirely different setup than it used to be in that original review. I thought ten years ago that they may struggle to make a go in Draper as more and more rural, agricultural land becomes housing, but they're still there kicking making the most of their square footage. It's a very compressed garden area (but lots of the bulk materials are stored out front) with just a few small aisles dedicated to the thing you love them for: tack and saddle goods, beekeeping supplies, birdfeeders and seed, kitchen materials, and many more. They don't have a huge clothing section, but there's still plenty of warm and durable work clothes there if that's what you're after. I'm very pleased to report that the chicks are in for 2021. They're adorable. But I caution you that unless you really mean it (and are buying the heat lamp, and feeder, and have a coop plan) just pass on them because having chickens is a big deal, and not an impulse buy. But yes, DO go and look at them. If given my choice, I'd probably go to the IFA in American Fork once a week, but this mini version in Draper is also a nice substitute when you need some seeds, or weed killer, or that fertilizer. Or a saddle. Or boots. Or BBQ equipment. Or...

Wow, what an experience. Waited patiently in line for somebody to help me, an older gentleman…read moreslowly meandered over scanned my product, waited for the computer to process, the POS system set approved, as the older gentleman hover over the machine and saw that it was approved. I didn't need a receipt and I left because I was in a hurry. The older cashier chased me down, told me to stop and proceeded to yell at me from the porch with a receipt that I did not need or want. He proceeded to crumble up the receipt and throw it in the garbage, but it was a baseball. If I paid for it, I have no responsibility to take that receipt, you do not operate a club membership program. Maybe he was having a bad day. I don't know I didn't need a receipt. I hope everybody in line leaves a review as you continued to make people wait for no reason as you slowly sprinted after me. Uncalled for, unneeded, unprofessional!

Some days, the things you really want seem so far away. How did we get here? How do we allow…read moreourselves to get so far away from the things that matter most? How do we get so distracted by the immediate today that we lose sight of what we want tomorrow? And how have we wandered so far from yesterday? IFA is a glimpse into yesterday, but more than offering a mere look at simpler times, it gives us the means to our future by living a life informed by a simple past. My dad was raised on a farm. By his generation, there wasn't much farming being done, but there were crops, and cows, and he raised chickens--silver spangled hamburgs, I think--and rabbits and knew the value of a good days work and pitching hay in the barn. I come by it honestly, then. This draw to the days of yesteryear when you got dinner from the backyard and canned it in the fall for winter use. Rather than pine for what was, I've set that as the focus of what will be. Rather than talk fancifully of what will be, someday, I'm actually putting my money where my mouth is and digging deep into Dad's side of my DNA to plan for a future with a humongous garden packed with weird produce and loads of little chicks running around. I stopped in here for fertilizer, but spent plenty of time re-focusing and re-centering on what I want most. On where I want to be. And I'll be at IFA if it happens around here. They were packed with baby chicks this weekend, but have all the supplies you'll need to raise them. And for any other animals you need. The garden part is replete with seed packets, as well as seeds by the pound. Seed potatoes, onion bulbs, and every other kind of thing you want to grow. This location isn't the snazziest (the AF store is incredible!) but it's big, and unless you go on a weekend, you'll probably be okay with parking. Plus it's really not too far out on the west side off of the freeway, so access is convenient.

I love this store!!!!…read more Best store ever!!! But she told me they have so many amazing dog and animal things. So i went, I met some of the most amazing women ever. They really took charge and helped me by walking me around the entire store and getting everything I needed. Gretchen was amazing, she knew exactly what she was talking about and took very good care of me. At the end, I had every thing and more for my puppies and my daughter. I'm very happy. I met another lovely women who works here but I forgot her name, but everyone was friendly and nice and very helpful and you can tell they enjoyed there jobs. Since then, i have been back here 8 times, the dog food is great price and made fresh and it's a family owned business, my huskies love the food, I'm glad i found this place. Will definitely be back every month. Thank you, Gretchen

Store told me that unable to help since third party company called "Rhoadie" handled deliveries. Store did research and said my order ready for pickup and at store. Also said no driver had been assigned and probably due to no tip (ordering online does not give option for tip). Gave me number for Rhoadie. Called them and told "store should have assigned a driver". Yvette at Rhoadie tried to get driver but since store was closing in hour by this time, no luck. I ended up going to store (with my back screaming at me) to get a bag of feed to get horse by for now. Also called on way there to let know coming since going be so close to closing. That was when found out that could not pick up my order (despite person on phone earlier telling me I could) as would have to cancel and then buy again. Been trying to cancel order as totally frustrated now but online does not allow option to cancel at this point and this late in evening, service center closed. Have ordered from Perry store before with zero issues as someone personally dropped off an order for me when not honoring "same day delivery". No one was rude at least. System needs fixed though as my trust as to product being delivered as website stated for this location is now broken. Nowhere did it tell me my order would be delivered by 8pm the next day or I would not have proceeded with the order.
