First - I have been a loyal customer and have absolutely loved Glover, which is even more heartbreaking writing this review. Great selection at higher-market prices. (I'll take it if it's quality, and that's why I've stuck with them.) They'll offer a warranty on every purchase. DON'T fall for it because even if your plants die they'll fight you tooth and nail over why your plant isn't really dead (why it was human error which conveniently isn't covered by their warranty.) They've asked me to dig the plants at my mother's home and bring it back to them (some are massive!) do scratch tests, send pics, it's never sufficient and frankly it's getting exhausting. I have spent thousands over the years on soil, plants, flowers, trees, bushes, etc. but I'm so over it. The customer service (at least warranty) provides little service as possible. I've recommended family members to them and they have run into similar issues and I'm just not going to make recommendations nor shop there myself. My recent issue was with a purchased Japanese maple under the 5-year warranty (which costs extra) and they refused to honor it due to human error. Yet the one I got in the front yard (might I add at half the price, from a company online) is doing fantastic. What I do recommend: buy online, or any nearby home improvement store - at least you'll get a deal so you're not out hundreds of dollars if anything dies or needs replacing down the road. I'm so tired of burning extra money for "quality" I don't reap the benefits of at Glover. (Adding this in response to the business owner below: I took the tree out yesterday that your team of experts just last week gave recommendations on for it having "viable signs of growth". The trunk snapped - all light brown, completely dead. And the only reason they had the idea of depth was because that is what I told them might have happened. You lost a customer. Amazing garden selection and great prices. Staff is very helpful and knows so much about the different species of plants. Love their rose selection and their boysenberry are to die for. Nice selection and I love when places like this take care of their plants! Most of their workers are helpful and very nice. I only tried to get help from one disheveled guy who was snotty and not helpful and just waved me to a section to find what I was looking for (and I found none). Home Depot in WVC and IFA Salt Lake always have dead and dying plants with bone dry soil that they are obviously not watering. read more

Best plant nursery that I have been to in Utah!. I've been in here a couple times. But each time I come i discover that there are more areas to explore. They are very organized , lots of labels so you know exactly what you are looking at.lots of helpful employees. Within 15 minutes of walking around every single employee greeted me and asked if I needed help or even just being friendly. They take great care of their plants. The plants are very expensive but you know when you buy from glovers you are getting the best. They have most plants out right now compared to any nursery I have been to lately. Not a service animal friendly business- we got stopped as we were walking in and got instructed on how to keep the service dog under control because someone may want to pet the dog...he had a "working service dog -do not pet" vest on. We just went someplace else to purchase our plants. read more

Extremely impressed with the size and selection of the new and improved native section at Glover Nursery. The display was clean and nice to look at, and the description cards were a fantastic addition. I especially loved the page on the diversity of native penstemons! If you're paying attention, you've noticed that every human on the planet is suddenly into gardening. There's been a run on seeds, plants are out of stock everywhere, and after some in-depth conversations with folks along the supply chain, they're telling me that everything is upside down all along the ladder. And plants are not something one can order overnight. Greenhouses are understaffed and plants are underdeveloped. You want a 2" caliper tree? See you in a few years. It's a whole situation. So I've been helping people plant gardens this year, and had to phone a lot of nurseries and suppliers and it's been great to see the huge swell in interest, but it's put an incredible pinch on nurseries and garden centers. Glover was packed on a weekday, and I have a friend who was there over weekend and he tells me it was street parking only. I was after bulk goods, and after finding a mix somewhere else but discovering it was gone, I was able to find it for $20/yard cheaper at Glover than the other spot. It was a bit of a zoo going in there and paying (they only had one checker in the bulk building where you order that stuff) so it took a good 15 minutes just to wait in line, then we brought the receipt to the loader. This guy was a character but he was an artist with a front end loader. 2 yards in the back of the truck and we were out of there, relatively quick compared to the time in the purchase line. Everything else from my prior review stands. There's a bit of everything. It's a full service spot and it has lots of bedding plants, trees, bushes, etc. I didn't check the veggie section this time so I couldn't say for sure if they lean to the common or the more specialized stuff. read more

We're on the hunt for Armenian cucumber plants and found this place on Yelp. Thanks! This place is massive and we could have spent hours walking around discovering new ideas for the backyard and garden, but we wanted to get the veggies in the garden yesterday. I did find time to checkout the roses. Many different colors and types. Definitely coming here when we move onto the second part of the backyard remodel. We didn't find the Armenian cucumbers today so went home with lots of different pepper plants. Not giving up on the cucumbers! Key thing, marks are recommended but not required and the parking situation can be a little tricky for large SUVs. Still lots of parking spaces, just a little tight. If you're looking for plants, trees or veggies, come checkout this place. We certainly will be coming back. read more

If you have any needs for nursery needs this is a great place to get healthy plants and trees. Staff is friendly knowledgeable and when they can not answer a question they get someone that knows the answer. I asked about a tree I was purchasing last year and they had to look up on the computer to verify they were correct on the information they gave me. They informed me the tree I want they would not recommend for the space but had a different variety of the tree they recommend. They currently were out but did know they were getting some in about a week. I bought the tree and it looks great and growing very well this year. read more

Glover has everything on my landscape plan and then some! I love that they offer the return on trees if you buy the product that guarantees them. It has saved me on some trees in my yard. Every once in awhile you get the ornery customer service person that doesn't want to look up your account or something, but for the most part I have had really good experiences here. The outside help is always pleasant and happy to answer your questions! It is a little pricey, but even so, this is my favorite nursery in the valley. read more

I haven't checked out all the nurseries and gardening stores in the valley, but I'm slowly getting there. Glover is one of my top choices for a few reasons: 1) They are open on Sundays. 2) Their pond section is very large. It includes a whole building of supplies (koi food, water additives, lighting, pumps and other hardware, etc), plus a greenhouse full of neat plants. They have these floating island plant arrangements that are beautiful, water lilies, irises, hyacinths, and probably close to 50 other pond plants. There are huuuuuge koi, and once we found a cute snake that had wandered in and seemed to be making himself quite at home. 3) They sell cocoa mulch, which I haven't yet purchased, but supposedly when it rains it smells like chocolate! They also offer the other standards: Tons of trees and bushes, creative selection of herbs and vegetables, and some really nice perennials, ground cover, and so forth. They sell stunning rock water fountains. The quality of everything is very good, and as far as prices go they seem to be in line with other nurseries for most of their smaller plants, although the trees can get pretty expensive. They're definitely one of the larger nurseries in the area. Customer service is fine, and they have space for up to four cashiers, although on a Saturday there can be quite the impressive line to check out. It's definitely worth stopping by at least once to wander around (you could easily spend an hour or two here, so plan accordingly). You'll likely find some treasures! read more

I went for lettuce starts... a little late in the season and unfortunately I didn't find what I was looking for. But that's my fault, not theirs. However I couldn't believe the selection they did have. If I was doing outdoor landscaping I'd be in absolute heaven. They had a great succulent selection too. I'll be going back for sure. read more

I recently moved to Utah from Hawaii. We have always wanted to grow fruits that we can't grow in the islands. (Raspberries, peaches, cherries etc) I noticed Costco was selling fruit trees and was curious if they would grow like we wanted. I asked a worker about them and they really didn't know anything about them. Seeing as I have NEVER grown those kinds of trees. I really wanted the education and dos and donts. I happened to Google nursery's and Glover came up as one of the top. I'm so glad it did!!! I went there and met the most friendliest staff, that walked me through, spent time and educated me on what to do. Especially my area I lived in. There was no hard selling, but a genuine sense of care. I bought a few trees. Came back and bought some more. The checkout staff was also great!!! Rude owner Regan, we had two instances of his staff not understanding their policies and giving us wrong information. Not a big deal and I don't blame the staff however when I emailed the owner he takes no responsibility or tries to make the situation right and instead said "shop elsewhere". Good thing Millcreek Gardens and J&J nursery are close by with great selection and friendly owners management! I would avoid Glover Nursery due to their confusing policies, incorrect information from staff, and rude owner! read more

The most dishonest nursery. All the people at the nursery that are hired there are great but management is terrible. They told me it would be $150 to have someone come draw up a plan and the guy left charging me $350 I asked why and he said it was per hour. I wish they would have told me that then they told me I would get 10% off plants with their landscape service and I was not given that. They charged me more for all plants I would tell them that but it was already planted. They would say it was a $20 perennial but really it was the small sprouted plant for $5 they told me it would grow. Please do not use them or anyone they refer for landscaping. A photo for what they charged me $50 for those 3 plants and then about $50 for labor. I have several of these that were planted so it was a lot of money. I hope this was worth it to them and they feel good about what they do. Then they say I was mean?! well after paying $14000 for my yard and find out they are dishonest you can bet I wasn't happy. They never said they were sorry or what can we do for you. Terrible customer service. read more

Purchased two plants just over one year, on 5/22/2020, is now 6/16/2021. I called Glover Nursery and they won't return because it's been one year and 25 days. I totally understand the one year policy, but that is poor customer service. It could have benefited them to return the plants that had a guarantee and fill my ever growing list of products I had planned on purchasing there. We will take our business elsewhere. read more

This is kind of a long review, so strap yourself in! I can't say enough good things about this nursery. Their website is EXTREMELY helpful, and made it easy for me to find the exact plants/trees I wanted so that when I went in to pick them out, I was ready to go! I went in to go and pick out my trees, and at first was very lost (it was a busy Saturday!), but was quickly approached by a man with a map. He told me that he'd be happy to help me and went immediately to get a cart. We set off, and I quickly found out that my research and my list of trees wouldn't work with my irrigation water (Saratoga Springs has salt in it which I had no idea! It even says it on the city website, which I totally missed!). Luckily, Linn knew exactly which trees/flowers could tolerate the salt well. I, personally, don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on trees and flowers, just to have them die. So I was super happy for his suggestions, as all of them were identical to what I had originally wanted. We go up to pay, and we get our total and decide that we'd like to have the nursery deliver our purchase. We were undecided on planting yet as we were still waiting on other bids from landscaping companies. On our drive home, Linn called and stated that the register didn't log three trees (looking over our receipt, I noticed that he was indeed correct and was grateful he called as soon as he did). I paid for our remaining trees and also decided to go with the nursery for planting our entire purchase, because who better to plant things than the nursery themselves?! The original delivery date without planting was 6/9/18, but due to me changing my mind and having the nursery not only deliver, but also plant everything, it was then changed to 7/9/18. 6/9/18 comes around and I get a call that our trees have been delivered and tucked away in our driveway. Confused, and a little distraught, I called and spoke with Johnna (I believe that was her name). Johnna said she'd talk with Linn and her delivery men and call me back. 7 pm rolls around (which is when the nursery closes), and still no call. I got a call at 8 pm, after their hours, from Linn. He said that he, himself, would come and pick up the trees to take back to the nursery or he, himself, would plant them the next day. I opted to plant them the next day. The next morning, Linn is at my home bright and early, ready to work, with a smile on his face. BY HIMSELF LADIES AND GENTS. Linn is an older gentlemen and I couldn't believe that he came over to plant the trees and make what happened right. His customer service skills exceeded my expectations, and if I had my own business, I can say right now that Linn would be my number one choice in an employee. This man is the definition of perfect customer service. LINN made me over the moon happy with this place. He was kowledgeable, has a positive attitude and is happy to be there, respectful, polite and considerate, he was dependable, honest, and fabulous at problem solving. My trees are beautifully planted too, I'm so excited that my yard finally has trees!!! read more

What is Glover nursery doing open during a pandemic? not only open but absolutely packed with people to the point that people have to park on the other side of the street. That's extremely irresponsible both of Glover nursery and of its customers .. especially when our numbers are still growing every day and we now have 18 deaths in Utah. Apparently the governor does have to make people stay home because his trusting us to stay home isn't working. I blame businesses like Glover as well as the people. read more

We went to Glover on our quest for wooly thyme in Utah. Apparently- this ground cover is hard to come by. BUT THEY HAD IT. Not only that but we ended up getting several other hard to find varieties-- Jerusalem sage and lime twister sedum. They sanitized the carts. They had signs for distancing. All the plants we could see were healthy. Lots of employees around to help out. Prices were good- not overpriced like some other nurseries in the area. WE WILL NEVER BUY PLANTS FROM HOME DEPOT AGAIN.
