Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I've enjoyed coming to this location for various items but I am especially appreciative of their Christmas decoration items for sale. This location is easy to find and there's lots of big parking spaces available. Thank you to the workers for being diligent about the shopping cart returns, I rarely see stray wagons in the parking lot and there's always a shopping cart available at the front entrance. Customer service has been top notch on all of my shopping visits here. They are friendly and greet you at the front door. If I ever needed to ask a question, there was always a knowledgeable sales associate walking around to help. Thank you Lowe's for having healthy plants available. Even coming late for poinsettias, I still had great options to purchase. Really appreciate the sales too as two big beautiful poinsettias came home for the price of one!! I give Lowe's itself one star for any large purchase, especially if you order for delivery and install. It took over a month for them to install the toilets correctly. The first issue is communication between them and the third party company they work with. They scheduled the install 2 weeks out from when I bought the toilets. They did not show up or even call me to let me know they would not show up. I had to call them to see what was happening. They gave me a made up story about the truck breaking down. Okay, but why didn't you call to let me know. The manager (Jennifer) was very nice and rescheduled for a few days later. The plumber showed up and did the work but wanted to charge me extra. He said the toilet might leak, and within half an hour of him leaving, it was leaking. He said he would come back and fix it if it did. He requested a video of the leak and apologized, but then ghosted me. I called Lowe's customer service again to have them send someone to finish properly installing the toilet. They scheduled it for 3 days later, but that day came and no one showed or contacted me. They then tried to schedule for over a month later. This was so very frustrating. I called Jennifer and she finally got that plumber to come fix the leak. So, four times I had to take off work and on two of the days they did not even show up or contact me. I gave one star back because Jennifer was so nice and was really trying to help me, but I will never do any major business with them again even when they offer a special. read more

Got a dishwasher and went for the install (they had a Rebate for the install). Was told they would call to schedule within 24 hours. Don't worry I didn't get a call. So I chatted online about it and was told they red flagged it and sent it to the store and they would call within 24 hours... no call again. Went online and I was assigned a random day for installing it. Called the number and the lady said they could move it sooner than 2 weeks or later. I said let's do before but it wasn't available. She canceled the day that didn't work and said they call in another 48 hours to set it up. Went to the store canceled my order bought the stupid dishwasher again (I had gift cards or I would have gone to Home Depot). My week of aggravation got no discount just a "we'll make that right for you" which meant we will charge you full price and remove the install. read more

To the nice gentleman in the Pro department who offered me a basket when my arms were full to Rachel who was at the checkout who has only been there a week. She scanned my items and saved me time. She was friendly and on top of her game. I will say I don't get the same service so much at the other box store that is orange ;) They are trying but not quite up to your caliber of helpfulness and going out of their way to help. read more

I purchased a storm door online for pick up at my local store. It was a Larson model and cost just north of $400 with tax. When my contractor was installing it he informed me there was no handle. I checked my online order and sure enough it asks you to select a handle and I had selected the aged bronze version at time of order. I looked in the specifications and there is an entry that reads Handles Included which is followed by a green check mark. I was pretty sure the preceding 2 conditions were indicative of there being a handle included. I called the store I picked the door up from, the Sandy UT location, and was told the fellow in that section was at lunch and would call me back concerning the missing handle. Justin never returned my call. The next day I drove to the store and stood in line for a short while and was directed to proceed back to the door sales area where Bruce would be happy to assist me. I approached Bruce and explained the issue, I stated that my contractor said the door was rather easy and straightforward to hang but there was no handle. I showed Bruce the handle it was supposed to come with. Bruce told me there was nothing he could do as there was not a second line item for the handle on my receipt. I pointed out that there were no separate line items for the hinges, weather stripping nor any of the other included items yet they were all in the box. Bruce then disagreed that the door comes with the handle even after being shown that they make you choose a handle style and the specs say handles are included... he basically told me to go pound sand. I then spent $50 to purchase the handle as my contractor was waiting. I contacted Lowe's corporate customer service and verified that the door does come with a handle, hence the handle selection block and of course the specification sheet which states that handles are in fact included. The customer service rep told me she would have a store manager contact me about refunding the handle I had to purchase. The manager did call me and did refund the handle but the whole time tried to convince me that the door does not come with a handle but he would refund the $50 handle as a kind gesture maybe. So there is my story. Apparently customers and customer service representatives are able to read the website and interpret what handle selection and green check marks next to Handles Included means but "Experts" named Bruce get to overrule whatever they want and Managers will gaslight you about your errors even when you have printed evidence published by their employers to the contrary. Much appreciation to the reasonable and nice customer service rep who helped me. She was amazing. It is nice that their is recourse to this level of customer service. Every time I come here because I am passing it and it's on the way I remember why I go to Home Depot. Driving an extra 30 minutes would be worth avoiding this store. Everything seems to move at half pace here. I had an item with a clearance tag on it, but it was ringing up at full price in the system. At Home Depot they would just correct the error. But instead at Lowe's they made it seem like I created that tag with my own sticker maker and that it is fake. Then she seemed so put out to have to call her manager over. It took him 5 minutes to come up and he deliberated over it for another minute. All of this was over $5 difference in price. I would have just paid the extra money if I knew it was going to be such a big to do. It was an awful customer service experience. As a contractor I spend anywhere from $30-80k/ year at Home Depot and Lowe's and I'll happily continue spending that money at Home Depot to avoid having to deal with the mess that is Lowes. read more

Drywall patch Class First I gotta say this is my go to store for all my hardware needs! I stopped in one day for some supplies and noticed a white board upon entering ( it's probably been there forever and I just didn't pay attention) and on that board it had some DIY short classes available. The drywall patch class caught my eye as I had recently ( purely by accident I assure you ) wanted to change my bathroom hardware and made a hole in my wall. I jotted down the date and was excited to attend. When the class started I realized I was the only attendee. The instructor introduced himself (Brian Sommer) and assured me he was still happy to teach me! He walked me through step by step and answered all of my questions! I was making notes and taking pictures the whole time! Upon finishing he even helped me get all the right items to use for my home repair! Being the only attendee definitely was a bonus but you guys!!!! You are missing out if you don't come here and take these short classes!!!! I feel pretty indifferent about all home improvement stores. They are all the same: you can never find someone to help you if you have a question while you are shopping, they are so big that items are often in really weird spots that you'd never guess, and you're kind of stuck shopping there because the stuff they sell is generally only available at that type of store. I do have to give this Lowe's a shout out, though, because last Friday afternoon I went here, and for once the self check out (Which always seems to be the only option) was quick and convenient. The woman running it saw that my husband and myself had over sized items, and immediately brought us over to her register to check us out, rather than watch us struggle trying to do it ourselves. She was friendly and speedy, which is really all that I ask for in a cashier. So bravo to you, nice lady, I will choose to go back to this location in the future based on that alone. read more

My fiancée and I recently went into this Lowe's. We were looking for towel racks for our bathroom and hoped they might be cheaper then Home Depot. We decided to go down an aisle that had a bunch of clearance appliances. My fiancée hated the dishwasher we had and was curious if we might get lucky. Well today luck was on our side. We found a brand new Samsung dishwasher that was for sale for $130, regular price was $650. We also found a brand new French door LG refrigerator for $600, regular price was $2600 . Both appliances were floor models and they were getting rid of all of their floor models. We decided to try our luck the next day at the Murray Lowe's and found a brand new Whirlpool Stove for $220, regular price was $850. The sales people were amazing and helpful and I still come back to the Sandy Lowe's every chance I get. read more

I've been long-winded about my orange vs. blue preferences (see original review for a somewhat abbreviated version) but as a spoiler, I generally pick blue. This is never as true as it is in the Spring. I really dig the Lowe's garden section. Not so much for plants (although I grew some artichokes from here a few seasons back) but definitely for the hardscape and soil stuff. Plus the layout is so much wider at this massive location, and I can park down by the garden area and never fight the cashier battle or parking battles that often come. I still like some of the local nurseries better for garden needs, but for a quick bag of this or block of that, 'tis the season to stop in to Lowe's garden area. read more

Best experience I have had in a long time at a hardware store ! Was doing a project for a friends wedding and need wood pieces cut ! Chris in the lumber department helped me do the math and figure out what would be the best deal over all ! Not only did he help but he cut the wood up for me and took the time to make sure I was happy ! Chris is awesome ! Same trip a young lady saw us walking out with raw wood pieces and helped us load them into the car while we buckled the kids in . Vanessa went above and beyond to help us out !. Soooooo pissed off at these people. Bought a new refrigerator over a month ago and it was supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Never heard from them, tried to call and no answer. Finally drove up there only to find they didn't have the refrigerator I bought and paid for over a month ago. When I told them who I was, one of them said "oh, I have a note to call you." Really? You have a note to call me the day before you were supposed to deliver it? I've been in distribution and logistics for 20+ years, you knew weeks ago you weren't going to be able to get it and you didn't call me but you sure made sure you held on to my $$$ read more

Just speaking in the plant section - as I haven't had the need for any other home improvement related stuff yet - great selection, usually more than Home Depot. They've got a pretty standard selection of potting soils, pots, and one kind of orchid bark. Enough to do the trick in a pinch. They've got most of the standard, bulletproof houseplants, some phalaenopsis orchids, the occasional Venus flytrap, succulents, parlor palms, sansevieria, pothos, and succulents. They've usually got a few salvageable items in a discount shelf, too. Not an exotic plant store - but great for a home improvement store, I always get sucked in. Not sure what is going on with the delivery service but I went into the store and purchased a fridge that they said they had in stock. They said they could deliver it in 3 days which was the best they could do. Now, today delivery day, they never call or show up, so I call them and they pushed the delivery out 4 more days. I only purchased the fridge that they said was in stock because we do not have a working fridge. What a joke. I canceled the order and now I am headed to Home Depot. I love Lowe's as a company. They have good values and all the supplies I need. However, the customer service leaves something to be desired. I know that this is due to the company's employees, and I suspect it is because the employees are not compensated appropriately for their time and labor. Some of them are short with me, and it's almost always understaffed -- particularly on Sundays. I have no qualms with the employees themselves because I know they are just doing their job. It is Lowe's responsibility to fix this by properly paying and taking better care of their employees. I am severely disappointed. read more

We just bought a house that needed all new appliances in the kitchen (plus a lot of work all over the house). We bought an over the range microwave, freestanding range, and dishwasher. Both the dishwasher and microwave have been great, and we were able to get them on sale in October, and get a refund on the difference once Black Friday sales kicked in in early November. The range has been a different story. The one we bought wasn't insulated properly. Not Lowes' fault, as it's a manufacturer issue. We bought a new one, and were told they would call us to schedule delivery when it arrived at the store, and then they'd pick up our other one for a return. We never heard from them, so we went in to check a couple weeks later. The new oven/range had been there for 4 days and no one had bothered to call us. It was already paid for, and was just sitting there in their storage area. We were pretty annoyed, so we switched out delivery to pickup since they seemed to be sucking in the arranging for delivery department and told them we'd be back in a couple days once we had time to get it, and our truck. Then, I called the next day, just to confirm it was actually there, and was again told yes, and there was no way they could sell it since it was a special order, and paid for already. My husband went in with our truck, as scheduled, to pick it up. Only then he gets told that it's NOT there by Abby at the customer service desk. My husband kept asking her to please go check since two other people had told us it was there, and we had already paid for it, so if it had gotten sold, that would be a HUGE problem. She kept saying she wouldn't do that, and that it wasn't there. Frustrated, my husband said, "maybe we should just get a refund then and buy one somewhere else". She told us that would be a great idea. After the exchange got a little heated, she finally went and checked. A half hour later, she comes back with our oven. My husband then asked her to verify it was the right color since it was packaged up, and she wouldn't do it. So, the guy who had come up from the back did it instead, and then helped us load it up into our truck. His name was Heath, and he was super great, which is the only really great thing we can say about the store. Overall, Abby and the store really screwed up this purchase experience for us, and we won't be returning to the store for anything else. We have a lot of renovations planned for our old house, and were pretty excited to find a Lowes right around the corner. However, we'll be driving to the Home Depot at Fort Union from now on. Also, I seriously recommend you retrain Abby on customer service. We spent a decent amount of money at the store, and she treated us like crap. Not cool at all. read more

The store is greatly furnished with lots of holiday decorations; currently there are both Halloween and Christmas decorations. As you go further into the store, you get into different sections of house improvements and such, like door knobs and shower doors. The garden center is at the very end and there are supplies for everything you need for the outdoors. The prices for things are a bit cheaper than other places. For plants, it is very cheap at the moment. Recently, my family bought a whole bunch of plants for 50% off a couple days ago and we came back yesterday and got 11 more plants for 75% off. If you want some cheap greens for your house, fall is the time to buy all of them. We got houseplants, rose bushes, and more for $1-$5 because of the 75% off, but they were being sold very quickly! The service is just wonderful. We were helped inside and outside of the store. When we were looking for nails, my mom was looking for a specific tool for the nails and a specific size. The man was very nice and came up to us to ask if we needed any help. He knew exactly what we were talking about. When we were out in the garden, there were two women who were willing to help us; I mean, we were buying a ton of plants, we needed lots of help. We had 3 carts full of plants, but they were still willing to not rush things and get things done correctly. We found an error that one of our plants was scanned twice and so we saved some money by catching that mistake. It did cost a couple extra minutes, but they were still very nice about it. One of them even helped pack all of the plants into my back trunk. We probably wouldn't have been able to fit all of them in without her help. While they were helping us, there was this rude customer that came to yell at the two very nice employees about how they had placed her plants on the ground, rather than on the carts she had left them on. The employees tried to explain that they needed the carts, but she just kept saying how she said she would be back for her plants with her trailer. I felt bad for the employees because they had to deal with such a rude person... hope their day wasn't ruined because of her. Other than that small affair, my experience at Lowe's was very pleasant. The place is nicely staffed, the staff is knowledgeable and cooperative, and the prices are low. read more

This store employs the dumbest humans on planet earth. Nobody knows what the heck is going on. I had called and put an item on hold since I wasn't able to pick it up. I sent someone to pick it up only for that person to report back to me that nobody knows anything about the item that I had put on hold. Thank you for wasting everyone's time, for being so careless about your customers, and offering no help in resolving the issue. Once again Devin in the cabinet department has dropped the ball. For months now i've been trying to communicate and order new cabinets for a project my family and I are working on. Devin misread the measurements and sent in an order for the wrong sized cabinets. I had left several message for Devin to call me back and weeks later i finally received a call and then no follow up. FINALLY, Barbara in the cabinet department called me back and took care of my situation and quoted me for new cabinets. When we went to pay for the cabinet they were not in the same price range as they were originally quoted. Lowes promised that our order would be rushed for their mistake, so i was feeling a little better about the situation. Finally after our order was processed Devin followed up with me a week later to inform me my order has just been processed and he would ensure my cabinets would be delivered in a timely matter. Devin said he would call me back as soon as he knew the delivery date, wrong. It has now been over two weeks and still no communication from Devin and its past the promised delivery date. If you choose to do any business in the cabinet department i only suggest using Barbara or Dave. read more

We went through Lowe's for carpet because they told us they make sure customers are happy and taken care of because they are a huge company and have the means to do so. We also chose Lowe's because of the free furniture moving. They showed up with one person to install who doesn't move furniture. When we looked at the carpet he was about to install it was the wrong carpet. We went back to the store and we got a "Sorry, it'll be 8 more weeks to order in the right carpet". We had taken apart beds and had waited for 8 weeks and all we got was a sorry. When the next install came we double checked 4 times that knew they were moving furniture. The install people showed up and said they were not told they had to move furniture. Luckily they did but seriously it was the worst experience we've ever had. Trying to buy carpet from this group was a nightmare. It took 3 months to get the price that I was quoted. Continuously talking to people who said they had to talk to a manager but never calling me back. Over and over saying they'd give me a deal when all I wanted was the correct price per square feet. Literally did the math with every representative that I talked too and never could get someone to help. I'll never come back and going to use Home Depot from now on. Just so you are aware. I am not happy with or impressed with Lowe's delivery driver. They said they would leave the flooring materials by the patio door. End up the driver just left it on a pallet by the dumpster 2 hours later. (Really??? Can you pick a even worse place to drop off???). They were an hour and a half late and pulled the genius move of leaving by the dumpster. I am an out of the state owner and if my contractor hasn't showed up in time to move the materials, my $2000+ order would all been in the dumpster. Very bad.... wish I can give 0 star read more

We told him we had just moved to Utah from California and he asked our son if he was a Utah fan and gave him a Utah key so he can become a fan it was cute and generous of him. Came in to buy a drill. I guess they are big ticket items because they are locked up. I asked three different employees if I could get help so I could buy a drill. They all told me to go back to the tool section and they would page a rep to come help me. After 30 minutes and trying three different employees I finally realized no one was coming. This is a huge lowe's. I ran in to get tape and paint but ended up spending several hours because there was so much stuff. For whatever reason it seems like this location had quite a bit of stuff that other locations do not carry. For a Friday night the place was pretty slow. It was easy to get in and out.
