I asked him if he carried an item and he said " it's upstairs on the right." After trying to find it without avail, I asked him TWICE again and he said" it's up there." Then I asked him if he could help me find it and his response was " no, we are closing soon. " Last I checked, people actually WORK while the store is open, not seemingly playing on the computer or on the phone. I get better service and attention at the local Home Depot. Aren't neighborhood stores supposed to be friendly. As much as I'd like to support Mom And Pop shops, I will NEVER come here and I suggest you don't either!

It's a relatively small space so I can…read moreget in and out quickly without wandering around for hours looking for this and that, which normally happens to me at Lowe's or Home Depot. Plenty of tools and materials for just about any minor home improvement project you may encounter. I always find the item to complete the task at hand. I haven't comparison shopped for lawn and garden equipment or sheetrock but I assume the prices are competitive. There are generally several knowledgeable employees working to answer questions and give free guidance regarding the project that brings you to their hardware store.

They don't just point me to an aisle -- they actually help me problem-solve and find real solutions. That kind of service is rare these days and I genuinely appreciate it. This is my first stop for any project, and honestly, I wouldn't go anywhere else unless they're out of something. Highly recommend!

I came in the day before Christmas eve and they told me they would have one built and ready to pick up on Christmas eve at 9 am. They even loaded the egg in my vehicle and showed me how to take it apart correctly since there's a lot of pieces to it. Since then we've been going back to this store for many of our essential items and more items for smoking with our new Green Egg. They have a lot of the same items your local Home Depot or Lowes carry without the crowds. I signed up for their free rewards and already used $40 and discount coupons from receiving them in the mail. It's convenience, handy, and the staff is great!

While clearly, this is normal for owners and managers of this Ace Hardware store, they clearly have no idea of the Progressive clientele of this uptown area. I grew up hunting and fishing and so I'm no stranger to guns but have come to realize that the world would be a better place with fewer guns and ammunition. I'm very disappointed and will likely make more trips out to Lowe's to avoid supporting this store.

I've been coming to this Ace Hardware since early 2025 when my daughter bought a house nearby. I've…read moremade numerous purchases as I work through a very long punch list. In the past months, I've noticed a significant drop in customer service. The staff are unhelpful, don't seem to know much and are sometimes downright rude. I sent my son in there yesterday to buy a couple of things and they were rude to him and not helpful at all. He said he felt like they were irritated with his questions. I had to swap out some pipe dope that my son bought yesterday that had clearly been used and then returned. I went in to swap it for a new can and the guy was clearly irritated that I was bothering him. Barely said a word to me. I should have got his name, but I'm pretty sure he is either the manager or the owner. He's in his 50s or early 60s, was wearing a green America 250 cap and a black Ace Hardware t-shirt. Has a real attitude. If I had the time, I would have given him some pointers on customer service. If he's the owner, this store has a real problem. Edit - his name is Jason. Pretty sure he is the manager. I had to go in again to get a refund and Mr. Sunshine was there. Same demeanor. I gave him some direct feedback on his attitude. I think I'm going to drive a few miles and use a different store from now on. I don't need the attitude. The prices in here are higher, but I was willing to pay for the convenience. Not anymore. Word gets around about this kind of behavior. This store won't do well if they keep this up.

She went above & beyond to locate us a bbq that was still in the box that was up in the rafters. She helped us to take measurements of the box & went out to the car to grab measurements of the door. Additionally, just in case the box didn't fit, she set us up with will call so we could leave & come back with a bigger car. This girl was our hero this day! The box fit & we were able to have a great bbq dinner that same night. Everything is well stocked & most the staff had smiles & were polite/said hello. Only 4 stars because the young girl that helped us with will call was less than helpful. We wanted to grab a cover for the bbq and had to repeat ourselves three times before she stopped ringing us up & acknowledged us. She then didn't even bother to point us in the correct direction. Luckily our helpful gal was still around to help us out with the aisle number. Overall, great experience & customer service. Thanks!

The staff here are awesome, and I've gotten some great products at decent prices to help with projects/expanding my tool collection. I prefer their nursery and landscaping options as well as I work to "greenify" our living spaces with hardy Utah-friendly plants. Unfortunately, I have the same issue with this store that I also have with the aforementioned competitor located nearby. I will no longer shop at this location due to Home Depot corporate's decision to install Flock Safety surveillance cameras in the parking lot. Enabling the mass surveillance tracking of private citizens by feeding ALPR data - a poorly secured technology proven to track more than just license plates - into nationwide surveillance databases is an unacceptable invasion of customer privacy and a blatant means of sidestepping our 4th Amendment rights. I'm taking my business to local hardware stores that don't track their customers and support mass surveillance at the behest of the government. My review extends to the greater scope of Home Depot as a corporate entity and the issue I take with their decision making from my perspective as one of their customers. I encourage others to thoroughly look into this matter to form their own opinions and determine if they too would like to continue their patronage.
