I hit two other tile shops (Tile for Less and contempo) before coming here. Neither of them had what I needed and the first shop said I wouldn't be able to find what I needed. ENTER Floor & Decor!! Just go to F&D first! That's what I learned. They had the basket weave tile I needed, for a shower floor, and instead of $13.99/sqft ... it was $3.99! It was in-stock! They have what you want and what you need when it comes to tile, and they will have it in-stock and at a better price than other locations. The staff was helpful and assisted me in figuring out the required square footage of tile for my job. They made grout recommendations too and made sure I didn't buy too much. read more

The supermarket for your flooring needs. We recently bought our entryway tile here. I was amazed at all of the choices. No waiting to order the tile. We left with everything we needed to get the job done. We had some leftover and we were able to take it back for refund. That's a bonus so you can are not stuck with overage. Find Marquee... she is AMAZING! She saved my husband and I from walking around for hours staring dumbly at all the store has to offer. I thought picking the marble for our backsplash was going to be the hardest thing... nope! I have not shopped at the store and I won't based on previous reviews. Not so much reviews but how the store responds to problems. Example: you won't warrant a broken warped product because it was uninstalled?? Of course it was uninstalled. It was warped and wouldn't install properly. This was based on what your recommended installer said. You don't stand behind your customers your loosing your temper over damaged stuff your trying to sell. You get caught selling inferior or broken product then won't take it back because it's open. How can we tell if it's crap if we don't open it. Use your head. You've lost a customer before I walk in. By the way, what decor do you sell? I've been told none. Tell me if I'm wrong. You sell mirrors? Towels, candles? Decor of any kind? Is this a flooring place? Or customer service heaven? Because dang! They have top shelf customer service! I'll be the first to admit that I am hot mess rolling into most establishments, and this was no different. With my two kids, two under two, and my mom attempting to help with a torn rotator cuff, we looked like a walking punch line. Yet, even in my own personal chaos, the staff was more than welling to help and even went the extra mile!! They assisted us in loading our cart with all the tile and things we needed, helped us to our car, and even helping us load it into the truck. Their selection is great, however we had a terrible experience with ordering online and pickng up at he location. My wife ordered the tile and selected to have it picked up for today. We received an email saying not to come to the store until we receive the email saying our order is ready. The afternoon came along and we did not hear anything so we figured we should reach out just in case. We called the store multiple times and either the line just hung up or we got the hold music until the line disconnected. Since it was the day for pickup we figured that they were just busy and did not have time to contact us. We checked online and saw that the store closed at 7:00pm so we rushed after work (45 minute drive) and got there at 6:20. When we entered the employee at the front told us to go to the back where the pickups are. When we got there we were told right away that the warehouse closed at 6:00. We told them we had a pickup scheduled for today and that we never were contacted. He then asked rudely if the employee up front told us that the warehouse was closed and we said no. He then looked up our order and said "The order hasnt even been picked out yet" as if we were supposed to be the ones in charge of that or something. He told us there was no way they were going to be able to pull the tile we selected and said that we would have to come back the next day. That is a pain since I have a work commitment so my wife will have to go alone. A simple communication would have been nice so we didnt make an hour and a half round trip. Even just an answer of the phone and someone letting us know that the order wouldnt be fulfilled when we had it scheduled would have been understandable. read more

They never answer their phones! I've been on the phone over 1hr just trying to get ahold of ANY department to help me check on an order. They never call to say an order is in. I have never written a negative review but something needs to be done about their customer service and management! The Salt Lake location is 1000x more helpful and on top of it. Wear comfy shoes as this is a large store with a lot of great choices in flooring. They actually have the correct unsanded grout in a variety of colors for the marble floor we put into the bathroom. We bought several things we needed and couldn't find elsewhere in the valley. A different retailer suggested this place as they are frequently sold out and send other customers there as well. Terrible shopping experience tonight, so much so that I will NEVER shop at Floor and Decor again. First, their employees are condescending and rude, they don't have any inventory, they have tons of beautiful samples but nothing in stock so that you can purchase what you like, and they charge the customer extra to order simple, ordinary subway tiles. They should call themselves a showroom not a warehouse if they don't stock plenty of inventory. There were six customers in line, one register open, and employees standing around the store chatting. When you ask for assistance the employees seem to get their kicks out of making you feel stupid. I have never had a more frustrating experience while trying to purchase tile for my home. I have three bathrooms that will need tile and I will not even consider going back to purchase it at Floor and Decor. My recommendation, go anywhere but here!!! read more

Updated Review: The store was brand new to Utah, and all sorts of kinks were getting worked out. Now the store runs significantly better than before! I walked into Floor & Decor in Draper tonight at 6:30pm. By 7:00pm I was out the door with new backsplash in hand and my order placed with pickup within two weeks. Michael was very helpful and with a keen eye for color and design. To top it off he was extremely friendly, polite, and professional! We called in 2 weeks ago and placed an order for 280 sqft of tile to install for a home we were moving into. We needed this tile immediately. Unfortunately it was sold out and discontinued. They found it in Texas. Charged us an arm and a leg (approximately $350) to ship it to the Draper store in Utah. They told us it would be delivered in 7-10 business days. Great right? NO! We called a two days ago to get a status/update on delivery. And they had no information for us and did nothing to verify that it was shipped. Simply gave us the "I don't know, I cant see anything it will get here when it gets here". Its been two weeks so we call again and it turns out it HAS NOT EVEN SHIPPED YET!!!! Its been paid for now for over 2 weeks and it hasn't even left the store in Texas! Normally I would be understanding, but there is no excuse for this. They knew how big of a deal this is with the tile being discontinued and the time frame we had. Now this stores lack of competency is costing me SO MUCH more money because we are waiting on them in order to be able to move into our home we just bought. There are multiple things that CANNOT happen until I get this tile and it is costing me a lot of money to wait around for them.. Seriously, how hard is it to order tile and have it shipped. Communication and follow up goes a long way. Give it a try sometime. Needless to say I would not recommend this store. Do yourself a favor and go to the many other flooring stores in the. Update # 1. We went into the store to sort things out and come up with a solution. A manager made some phone calls and made sure the Texas store had it shipped and knew of the situation. The tile finally shipped 13 days after our order date And is expected to be here in 5 day's. They were willing to refund our entire shipping fee due to the delay. Update # 2. Tile finally arrived on May 4th (originally ordered April 17th) Unfortunately we are unable to pick it up due to possible shipping damage. I called to check on the status earlier. The kid who answered the phone was nice. And was sincerely apologetic about the possible damage. He said it does not look good and he has to go through the tile to sort it out before we pick it up and that they will order whatever is damage. At this point I damn near lost all hope in this company. Keep in mind this tile is discontinued. I'll update this again when I actually have tile in my hand and can verify how much is damaged / not damaged and whether or not they actually find me more and how quick they can get it to me. read more

I walked in, no one helped me. I walked around the store for about half an hour and finally talked to a sales associate. I asked where the tile was that had the color or the print all the way through the tile. She replied I am old school and that our tile is only printed on the top not all the way through. I said that is cheaper tile. She told me that's all we carry in the store. She was not helpful and insulting and condescending. I had a horrible experience. I went to Contempo. They were very helpful. They had tile that had the print and the color all the way through the tile, just as I had asked for. The sales associate did not imply that I was stupid. After purchasing extra tile for a backsplash, we returned our extra box of tile and were told that we could not get a refund. Apparently the tile was now not stocked at the Draper location and we could only return it to the Riverton location, 1+ hours north. Customer service was terrible, one of the sales associates asked how far away Riverton was, then laughed at how long of a drive it would be for us. The store manager was very unsympathetic and said that she could give us store credit to be used right then in the store, which is not useful at the end of our tiling job. We explained that the sale associate suggested we buy extra tile, and that we could always, ALWAYS, she stressed, could return extra tile. This is the first negative review I have left, but I am extremely disappointed in our treatment at this store. I will not purchase from Floor and Decor in the future. read more

Lied for 4 weeks about a shipment that was coming in only to find out it had never been shipped. I purchased Promontory Brick Webb from this store a month ago along with some flooring. The flooring was sent to the store in 2 weeks after paying $250 to get it there. I was told the brick would be there last Monday. I called Last Wednesday they said it was en route and to call back. I called back Thursday, Friday and finally Saturday. they could not provide tracking, they told me they did not provide tracking numbers because they have gotten in trouble for giving those out. Called again and talked to Ashley. She said she was aware of their phone issues (every time I call I can not get to anyone unless I go to the option 2 of the Pro desk) and said that there were notes I had called but not about what. Essentially after demanding to know where the thousands of dollars Iof brick I had ordered was she finally admitted to me that the order was never shipped. The project I was supposed to work on for the holidays is now at least another 2 weeks out. She said she could get me the brick from California in 2 weeks. I asked her why that was not an option 4 weeks ago. She said the wrong person was helping me essentially blaming me that I did not talk to her first. I had no idea I had to talk to a specific person to find out if the truth of wether or not my order had been shipped. She blamed it on Brick Webb saying they were the ones who had told the it had been shipped. I called and left a compliant with Brick Webb and have not heard back.
