Not sure why people here gives 1 star. I love IKEA. Yes some of the furniture are cheaply made but people should do the research and understand how manufactured wood compare to solid wood. I have IKEA furniture that has lasted for many many years. Does it compare to furniture like Amish made, no but you pay for what you get. $200 table will be durable for $200 worth vs you spend $700 table will last longer. That being said, some items are priced way better than comparative stores like popular stores. I love coming to the cafeteria for a quick bite as well. Those that complain about IKEA lacking service are probably sheltered. Cafeteria establishments don't offer service. They offer food at a cheap value pricing. Want better Service go to a 4 star restaurant. I'll keep coming back. Love strolling thru the massive warehouse. Love buying things that only IKEA offers (Swedish meatballs and chocolates), and I love eating their no service cafeteria food. read more

I'm really fond of the IKEA brand, but my latest visit was disappointing and I think changed my entire stance on the brand. My husband and I needed a couple things we had pre-searched online and we found them no problem but when we went to check out there were no cashiers but only a self checkout. I was willing to look past the escalator being out of service and the food court being closed but to wipe out your cashiers seemed cruel. There were almost no staff in sight in any of the other areas, so if you needed help you'd have to hunt for it. read more

They tried to overcharge me on my product, apparently you have to enter your ikea family twice or the discount doesn't apply. Then I had to wait 20 minutes for them to get the item I bought without telling me there would be a wait at all. This place is no longer worth dealing with. UPDATE: Apparently our item was on the top shelf and "for safety reasons" they couldn't get to our item til the store closed, and they would prop the door open so we could come get it when they closed in 5 hours. We asked for a note or something to prove this was paid for and never picked up and they would only offer us a text message but there was something wrong with their system and the text wouldn't go through. I asked to just refund my money and they said they also couldn't do that without me going into the other room and waiting through the queue. My wife is 8 months pregnant with our first child and it was 109 degrees outside. We just had our baby shower, and wanted to get a changing table. She was forced to wait in the first room for 20 minutes, figure out our options for 20 minutes, and wait another 20 minutes to get a refund for an item we never received. There were plenty of employees around that could have helped expedite this but they all stood around talking about us, watching us wait to get the refund. Everyone knows ikea quality has gone downhill, but I don't think they even see us as humans anymore. I come to this IKEA because when I'm in need of spare parts for older bed frames I purchased but not put together until recently, I find that the Ikea's parts desk counter are less than helpful, they're clueless is a better description. The staff at this Ikea has always been able to find a solution to solve my dilemma. The parts counter people at this location really know their stuff. The parts counter people at the northern california stores needs to walk around and familiarize the products they sell and have a more open mind for adaptations when the needs arise. IKEA is always a must visit while needing items for your home! We haven't been for a few years and I was reminded I need to come more often. The store is large but well kept and organized. We left with a very large mirror and a new dresser. It was easy to find what we needed. The IKEA in Draper is kind of an adventure every time you go. It's huge, so you'll definitely get your steps in while winding through the maze of showrooms. The setup is actually pretty fun because it feels like walking through a bunch of fully decorated apartments where you can steal ideas for your own place. The prices are solid, especially if you're looking for basics or modern-looking furniture without dropping a ton of cash (although prices have quietly been sneaking up due to to tariffs and whatnot). The quality is decent for what you pay, and IKEA has really upped their game when it comes to furniture that won't fall apart. Some pieces feel super sturdy and others not so much, so it's worth checking things out in person before buying. This location has a small snack bar if you're into Swedish meatballs, and it's laid out the same as every other IKEA store. I mostly come here for the Marketplace section of the store and all the cool and cheap kitchen gadgets and general housewares. Parking can be a little crazy on weekends (it feels like everyone in Salt Lake decided to go at the same time), but if you go on a weekday it's way more chill. Also note that they don't provide free bags so bring your reusable ones if you're planning to make a big haul of goodies. If you like browsing, getting inspired, and don't mind assembling your own furniture with those little Allen wrenches, then the Draper IKEA is worth the trip. read more

I could get lost in here for an entire day and not get bored. I think an IKEA trip is medicine for the soul of a home decorator, since you can find quirky items as well as basic necessities for your home. It's literally a maze, so be ready to get your steps in, but the food court has hearty options and they have a huge parking lot, making it a great errand for a weekend adventure. read more

Placed a Too Good To Go order for the IKEA cafeteria on 6/14/25 in the 5p hour. There was no disclosure that said seafood was served. I explained to the employee that I couldn't eat seafood to due to allergies. She became hostile and refused the medical accommodation. I'll never go back. read more

Went for a little tv stand and grabbed a quick snack of the Swedish meatballs. So freaking good. This is a great store to just walk around and get decorating ideas. However the furniture can be a bit much to put together. I try to stick to the easier pieces like my coffee table, Lack side tables and the little tv stand because my experience with putting dressers and beds together from here has not been the most pleasurable. Too long of a story but to try and summarize, make sure save your receipts. There is absolutely no leeway here. Even with a receipt and still in the box store condition, IKEA may elect not to return it. We spent about $6,000 on kitchen cabinets and during the return process we had items in the receipt in store condition but because there were system changes In the computer (supposedly) they would not take back or give store credit. read more

As a sucker for small spaces and color coordinated décor, Ikea speaks to me on so many levels. I love walking through the stages spaces and imagine myself living there. If not living there, maybe someday I can work there and surround myself with all the goodness every day. Maybe. The store is massive-you don't just run to Ikea quickly on your lunch break to buy something. It's a multi-hour visit that usually ends with you buying a thing or two that you hadn't planned on. The top floor (where you start your adventure) is a giant showroom broken into practical spaces (kitchen, dining, living, bedroom, etc) where you see displays of all the items. If you see something you like, jot down the tag information to know where to pick it up. Then, downstairs, you walk through accessories and ready-to-buy stuff before going into the large warehouse to pick up your boxes of furniture. You'll find anything from furniture to décor, accessories and even toys. Sometimes I imagine moving into a new space and having an unlimited budget-and can only furnish my place with Ikea offerings. I would have everything I need. Items here are budget friendly, meaning they are probably not heirloom quality, but if you like to be able to change things up occasionally and not break the bank, this is your place. Oh, you also assemble most things yourself-however there are lots of people who make their livings assembling furniture for people, so you can find someone to do it for you if you'd like. In additional to the store, there's also a killer cafeteria-style restaurant upstairs that serves THE best meatballs. If all you do is come to walk through the store for inspiration and grab a meatball meal, you're day will be improved tenfold. Trust me. read more

Food was dry, cold, and not worth $30. Drove down to ikea from Ogden. Was looking forward to a day of strolling, inspiration, and a plate of meatballs. We went to the cafeteria at 4pm and there was nothing. No fish, salads, anything. 2 apple crumbles. We get our coffee mugs, order 2 plates of meatballs and pay. We sit down and bite into our first meatballs... they are cold in the middle and lukewarm. Gravy was barely warm. Peas were still cold. Potatoes were fine. Went to get a coffee to enjoy with the delicious-looking crumble. Coffee straight from the machine was cold. Apple crumble was dry and bland. More like sawdust than a crumble. At least I now know where old ikea furniture goes for recycling. In short, this was a huge disappointment for this fan of ikea for 20+ years. My husband and I have been nose deep into tiktok house updates and so we decided to take the leap and DIY our main suite closet. After not trusting myself online I decided to stop in and get help with designing our space. I was SO nervous that even though I brought all the measurements, I could have possibly forgotten something crucial. Luckily I was set up with Paul at the closet design spot and he was SO SO incredibly helpful, kind, and patient with me. Showed me multiple options and walked me through everything I needed. He was very through and again, so kind to me! The four stars is NOT for Paul, he deserves 5 starts for sure. We went here last night, after going to RC Willey. We were looking for a tv stand for our living room as we haven't seen one that looked nice for our living and was at a good price point. I come from California and I grew up going to Ikea there, but I do not really go to Ikea as much anymore, and when I came here. I totally forgot about the feeling how Ikea feels so big and you might feel a bit overwhelmed because of how much things there are here. On top of that, it'll feel like you are walking in a never ending maze. Anyway, while we were walking around, we noticed their couches here seemed to be priced a bit too high compared to their competitors, and at especially how small they look as well. But the bright side is, we were able to find a tv stand that looked great and was within our budget as well which was great! One good thing that I like about this place is that if you want a certain furniture, the location of that product is located towards the bottom of the price tag, and when you reach the warehouse, you will definitely be able to locate the item, which is really awesome on their part. Anyway, we were able to pick up the product we wanted, and before we left, I saw sparking ciders before the cashier check stand on sale, and at a great price. I took 6 of them since they were 3 for a specific price (forgot the price). and when the cashier scanned all my items, I noticed the price was $10 above my estimation, and I asked the cashier if the ciders were given at the advertised price, and she said no. and I asked her why? and she walked over to the stand of where the ciders were and looked at the price and walked back over and said they weren't on sale anymore. I then told her that I won't be taking them then. After the transaction, we passed by the ciders and saw the price again, and it said the price is until January... Clearly, the cashier didn't know what she was talking about and how she was able to honor that on her end. read more

Four stars! And here is why: 1) Lest we forget the proper portrayal of the instruction manual. To have two happy men putting together furniture, seems off, so I adjusted it to a judgmental woman and a blissfully unaware man. It felt right. 2) The only store on the planet that sells you something that isn't put together, also has a "even-more-not-put-together" section, called As-Is. if you shop in this section, you are indeed super human and deserve an ikea Olympic size medal. 3) the smell of the candle section! 4) the smell of the checkout section! 5) made by people earning fair wages. Honestly, I'll never go back. This happened in August of 2021. I don't know if their policies have changed or not, however I personally won't spend another dime there. Needless to say, they wouldn't help a person with a disability, well at least not my disability. Just FYI I can never lift more than 20 BLS. Well, the product that I picked out, weighed over 100 LBS. I paid for it and asked for help. Everyone I talked to from the cashier/manager said no or that I should ask one of their customers. Not a great job of enforcing social distancing. I come here for the food lol. The Swedish meatballs are to die for! However, there is a considerable less amount then it used to be! If I could give zero stars, I would. After having been an IKEA customer since the late 80's, I am shocked at the terrible customer service that IKEA has offered since the whole Coronavirus pandemic. I had purchased a house in the fall of 2019, and was hoping to pick up some furniture and decorations at IKEA for my office and guest rooms, and back yard. After having no success using their website for click and collect orders ,(which they said were open, but no one in any state was ever able to get it to work, as demonstrated on various social media platforms,) I reached out via direct message 9 times and still have yet to receive a response! Many others on the site had ordered items that were never delivered weeks later, and they were not reimbursed. I am surprised that for such a large company, that they would even offer click and collect, if they couldn't even make it work for anyone. Also, any time you call, and tried pushing different options each time, you are hung up on. Even today, when stores are apparently open, you are unable to speak with anyone, after trying different options to purchase something. Life during a pandemic can already be challenging, and trying to support IKEA has not been beneficial and instead, has been completely stressful. Yes, businesses everywhere are struggling. While this time has been difficult for everyone, it seems that the businesses that are doing well have been friendly, helpful, and understanding towards the public. I am certainly glad that I can afford better furniture than IKEA now, and those are businesses I will support. While I will miss the quirky and fun ideas and home furnishings at IKEA, I certainly will not miss the neglectful business practices of such a large company. read more

My go-to for organizing pieces and holiday accents. Can't live without the kitchen dish scrubbers or toilet bowl cleaners

A lot of our furniture is from here, but I was pretty sad to find they were out of all sizes and colors of Billy bookshelves after Christmas. I get it. People need storage. But there was no way to order them online or have them delivered to the store or see when they'd get more. I was told there were warehouse problems for our area and they wouldn't have any info until the warehouse got the items in. Same with a bunch of the sizes of the Kallax cubes. But we do like the price point and everything has lasted well enough. It also looks great! Our visit right after Christmas was when the store was pretty busy, but the store did pretty well with COVID regulations. All employees were masked and there was hand sanitizer everywhere. I saw two customers who had taken off their masks, which was a small number compared to how many people were there, but also- ugh! Stop being selfish people! Most customers were polite and gave other shoppers space, but again there were the few that just can't be polite. I have avoided IKEA all year because I wasn't sure how such a big place would be able to handle safety measures. But we really needed more cubes and shelves. This was my first IKEA experience. It was pretty good. We went on a Saturday night with possibly half of the population of Draper and or surrounding areas. There were an unbelievable amount of people in and around the store, perhaps we came at the busiest time. Our intention was to look at sofas and kitchen tables and we did see a lot of those. There is a pretty decent selection. For those who don't know what to expect from IKEA, it is essentially a furniture store. Desks, decor, kitchen, sofas, bedroom, etc. they have it all. One thing that surprised me was a section of kitchen tools, for a really cheap price. Also they had so many fake plants which was unexpected for me to find, but I did want one by the time we were leaving. There was enough space most of the time for the cart with my nephew in it to be navigated around the different rooms and or areas. Maybe a tab bit more room would be nice for those families visiting. I think the whole time I was there (probably about 2 hours) I interacted with about 2-3 employees total. Which was kind of nice because I'm one of those people who like to shop without being bothered. But there were some around, so if I did have any questions I knew where to find them. There is a restaurant inside, but we did not go there this time. I think when I do go back again I would try for not a weekend probably. read more

Most of my furniture is bought over here. I do love the furniture here, and I'm a huge fan of IKEA. My bedroom looks beautiful because of it. The problem with this place is inconsistent communication. It took me weeks to find what I want and I have to wait for a specific item to come. I remember wanting to do a pickup for shelves. When the day comes, I anxiously waited for my shelves to come right up, only for it to be sold out. I was given a refund, but it still upsets me. After coming back countless times just to get what I want, it's already there. I recommend buying the furniture as soon as possible. Don't wait and think. Keep the receipt since you have a year to return the furniture. I wish I knew earlier so that I don't have to wait and think for the furniture to come. read more

What horrible customer service outside of the store and post purchase. I understand what IKEA is and the quality of the furniture. People don't buy it because it's materials are fancy, they buy for functionality and low cost. Thankfully, there are other options to IKEA and the price increase is worth it. I had to exchange this product once because the holes weren't drilled properly and so the pieces would not fit together. I was forced to return to Draper to make a full exchange. The brand new product also had problems. It was impossible to reach customer service at the store. I could not reach anyone. So, I tried emailing them and the below response was shocking. I was able to reach someone finally, after 15 attempts of calling, over 2 days, who was fantastic and IS mailing to me via fedex the exact parts that were broken due to poor quality. So, DeAnna isn't up to par with basic customer service. Extremely annoying to be told the below statement when in fact someone already IS mailing me the parts. Thankfully, Macy's also sells similar products but the quality is much improved and they're so much easier to get in contact with. Major fail IKEA. For a company your size and success. I love this IKEA! Why all the hate in previous reviews? Sure, it can get crowded on weekends and there's a lot of walking to do, but I've always found plenty of helpful customer service, the store and restrooms are clean and tidy, and prices are classic IKEA prices. The food court isn't my favorite but I love the IKEA Family perks (free coffee or tea every visit). There is family parking to the west of the building which is nice (but fills up on weekends of course.) I am happy to come here and shop and always find what I need. read more

If you haven't been to Ikea recently it seems in the last few years that the prices have risen quite a bit, without matching quality. In the past, you'd go to Ikea to buy a $50.00 bookshelf, and you knew it was just particleboard or whatever, but it would do the job. Now that same bookshelf is probably $100. They do seem to offer more quality pieces, but the prices are going to be comparable to any other furniture store. I do feel like they have some good kitchen supplies like dishes, platters, etc. Their bedding is decent, and some of the prints are really fun. They are also a good place to find house plants, although the selection seems a little smaller than it was previously, or else this particular location just doesn't carry as many. Their small grocery section has some good finds. Besides the ubiquitous meatballs (and frankly, I don't think they're that great), the Daim candy bars are very yummy (like a Heath bar), and they have Perugina chocolate bars. The candy in the bulk section is fun just for trying a bit of everything. My favorites are the Rambos. They are like firm gummies mixed with softer filling. The ones with crunchy bits inside are especially yummy. My biggest suggestion regarding this, and any Ikea, is to avoid it at all costs on a Saturday. I went last weekend, and I knew it would be busy, but I did not expect the utter and total madness that I found there. Trying to push a cart around was just a silly idea, really. They had about 6 registers open, but each line had at least 8 or so people in it. I can't fault Ikea for this, but just go on any other day. read more
