We visited Standard Plumbing during our recent master bathroom remodel to select fixtures. We loved the variety of products on display and the customer service we received was exceptional. We ended up purchasing a new Kohler bath tub and Moen Voss faucets for the shower, tub, and both vanities. We also ordered an Ebbe drain for the shower. Contractor pricing saved us a considerable amount of money. Unfortunately our remodel was delayed because of delivery issues. The first bath tub we ordered arrived damaged, it was cracked. The second tub was also cracked. Finally, weeks later, we received a bathtub that wasn't cracked. We also had issues getting the Moen Voss fixtures from Standard Pluming. They didn't have the towel bar, toilet paper holder, or towel rings in-stock. We ended up purchasing them from Amazon instead because we didn't want to delay our remodel further. read more

We finally caught the eye of an employee who was at her work station eating a donut. We asked her if she could help us, and her reply, "I'm busy. I'll be with you in a minute." Shocked, we asked her, "do you need to finish eating your donut before you can help us?" Her reply, "yes". We were truly stunned. Absolutely and completely unprofessional. She acted as if we had walked into her personal home and made a demand, as opposed to her being at work, to, you know, work. How dare we ask for help! When she finished her donut we asked her if there were any bathroom sinks in stock. This store has the worst customer service in the state of Utah! Everyone is constantly on their cell phones with complete disregard to the customers! Those that know me would say I have a rather tenacious side. And when I start on a project, that project is going to be done end to end and done the right way! This particular project was the installation of a water softener about 3 months ago, which I tackled with the help of the wife - thanks honey for putting up with another of my project whims! I go through the usual planning, working out what parts I need and then head off to Home Depot, Lowe's etc. Neither of the big chains could supply all the parts, and honestly they seemed like rather cheap versions to me and they didn't really know the answers to questions I had. It is at this point after a little looking online I find Standard Plumbling Supply, these guys had every single part I needed for all the rerouting of pipework. When it comes to projects involving water I do not mess around, it has to be done correctly, and not only did Standard Plumbing Supply have all the parts, they answered my questions and were generally friendly. I actually like places like this a lot more than the major chains anyway, I usually get a bit of a kick out visiting them. I just didn't know this place existed when I started on the project. They also provided advice on an issue I ran into near the end of the project due to a leaky gasket. Fixed, and never been an issue since. Whole thing has worked great and perfectly for 3 months now. It's a nice showroom too, for any future plumbing projects I decide to tackle, I'll definitely be going back. My only minor complaint, they don't have the convenient hours of those big chains, BUT they do actually have the parts you need and can help with questions! read more

These guys rock it! I only ever end up going there when I am in a jam and I know the idiots at Lowes and Home Depot won't know what to do. And that isn't fair to Standard Plumbing. I needed a faucet cartridge. I didn't know the manufacturer and the old one was mangled. They guy at the service counter looked through a bunch of pictures on the computer and figured it out and they even had it in stock. You'll never get that service at the big box stores. I often go to Home Depot for plumbing supplies, but this time I went to Standard Plumbing Supply. I went in the plumbers entrance, asked them for a part to repair my bathroom sink. At first the counter person said I would have to buy a complete part but then he found just the small part I needed. It worked perfectly. I honestly have a tough time even giving this one star. The showroom is cool. Lots of great product to see. The back area however is full of people that absolutely suck. I went on memorial Day. The store wasn't that busy. There were four older men at the back desk and three younger people at the parts desk. I called ahead asking if they had a specific part. The guy that took the call was able to find what I needed and I said I would be right there. I was only maybe 10 minutes out. I never got his name. I showed up and approached the first man that I saw. He said it wasn't him, so I asked another guy. Wasn't him. Ask another guy. Wasn't him. There was a couple waiting to be checked out at the back desk. They had been standing there for a few minutes. This older guy was sitting on the stool facing the counter, like it was a bar. I honestly thought he was a customer until he turned around and said to the couple, do you guys need some help? Like, obviously. All of the old men were very dismissive to the other customers and even to me. When I told them that I spoke to somebody, they just shrugged their shoulders and the guy acting like norm from cheers, walked around the counter and went and set on a different bar stool on the other end. He then stood up did a lap around the immediate area, walked outside for a little bit, came back in, sat back down on the stool with his Bluetooth in. I went back a few days later to buy some more parts, a lot less employees, but they were having some sort of a party up front. The guy in the back said there was food for the customers. I ended up having to walk up front to ask for some help, and they were more concerned with the food and were ignoring me as well as two other people. Frankly, the service at this place is horrible. Nobody was at the true value desk tell my father look for something. He had to go to the other main desk at the entrance and she tried tracking somebody down. After being away for about 10 minutes, she came back and couldn't find anybody. It's a shame too. This is a cool store, but every employee has a chip on their shoulder, some attitude about something, or just a general lack of care for their job and the customers. read more

The showroom is beautiful. You can find any kind of plumbing fixture you could want, from a plain bathroom sink to a hot pink (yes. for real) free standing bathtub. They sell to the public so it's definitely worth stopping by and checking out if you're doing any kind of building or remodeling. There are so many more options than the run of the mill big box home improvement stores, and the service you will get at a Standard Plumbing showroom from people who are experts and know what they are talking about make the trip worth it. read more

Customer service was horrible. My husband and I went here to buy a new kitchen sink, a tub and faucets. We were in there for 20 minutes and not one of the 10 employees in the even acknowledged that we were there. One girl in the back at the register was on her cell phone. All of the associates in the front were sitting in their desk areas talking to each other ignoring customers. We walked through the entire front display area and finally left. Had to pick up a collar for a disposal. At first the guy said they didn't have it. I spotted the part and he said he didn't realize they had it. Don't waste your time! I came in half an hour before close I understand. The attitude of the employees though, horrendous. I milled around the store for 20 mins trying to find someone to help me spend the 4500$ I had to buy fixtures to a bathroom remodel. When I finally found employees hiding in the back they acted as if I had the plague. This place only deserves one star because we were able to find the parts we needed for our bathroom. After a couple of hours of deciding exactly what we wanted for the entire bathroom. They unfortunately sold us the wrong valves for the shower and the plumber was unable to use them. A couple of days later we tried to return the valves by explaining we weren't able to use them. We did have our receipt. They insisted and insisted that the valves were tampered with and refused to take them! We did verify if the Plummer to use them and they did not. This was by the showroom floor manager- Jill. If you are at the mercy of not knowing exactly what parts are needed.... do not go to Standard Plumbing! We are now out $200.00! read more

The staff has always been so on top of making sure my orders turn out correctly and if there is ever an issue or anything they fix it fast with a great attitude. I called about a posi temp valve for my shower. They said to come down that they have one. Once there, I wasn't sure where they were located so I asked a worker at the parts desk. Are they located in the isles or do they need to be picked in the back? He seemed a little bit irritated that i would ask and after a couple of seconds of staring at me he told me they were behind the desk. After the awkward seconds passed I asked if I could have one. Again, he stared through me as if I said something wrong. He gave me a couple of choices that I was unfamiliar with, not even sure what he was even saying, maybe brand names, I don't know. I just wanted a Moen valve. He told me that he needs to know which one. I said I don't know. It became very obvious he was annoyed with me so I told him that I would just go to Amazon and walked out. Over the phone they tell me its easy, but once I get there after the drive out they made me feel completely inferior and refuse to even give common courtesy as a customer. It was almost funny the way he acted towards me. Found the part I need on amazon. I wish I could support Brick and Mortar stores but he made it imposible. read more

Well, waste your time driving down to this place to be treated poorly and told they don't have your parts. If you explain someone on the phone told you they did, they'll deny it all the way. Called Standard, asked if they had cabinet hardware that was IN STOCK, or if it was something they had to special order. "Oh, we carry all that stuff in stock." Go in, pick out some nice stuff, find out that's not true. Too bad, I'll have to put off finishing my project until the parts come in. Ordered on a Saturday, was told the items would arrive @ Standard by the following Wednesday or Thursday and that I would receive a call. When I hadn't heard anything by Friday, I called to follow up. My salesperson wasn't working that day, and while they WERE able to locate my order in their sales system, they were unable to find "her files" which were apparently the only source of information about shipping. I left a carefully worded message with my office and my mobile numbers. Sales person called my office, some hours later and left a message. She can't find an order for me. Because it's under my wife's name, it turns out, a simple fix if she had just tried me on both numbers that I left her. I call the contractors, "Sorry, guys I have to cancel this weekend, Standard can't be bothered to help me out." I try back on Saturday, I try back on Monday. My sales person isn't working. I try back on Wednesday. "Sorry they couldn't find it on Monday! It was delivered and in the warehouse!" She asks if I want to pick it up, or have it delivered the following day (Thursday). I say, go ahead and deliver it. I call the contractor, schedule him for Friday. Thursday comes and goes, no delivery. Friday morning, I call back, I'm told she's with a customer. I call back an hour later, she says she's been on hold with UPS for 90 minutes. Now it's Friday, I still don't have the parts, I'm canceling the contractor for the SECOND WEEK in a row. I just lost two weeks on a 10 week project over $300 worth of hardware and Standard's complete lack of ability to communicate or give a straight answer. From now on it's Ferguson, Mountainland or the big box store. I won't be darkening Standard's doorstep again. read more

The girls working in the showroom were so helpful and they helped me to find several options in different price ranges that were the look that I wanted. This company was great to work with and their product ( i got a new shower head) is the best i have had in years! It doesn't even compare.

HORRIBLE!!!! Late delivery, poor customer service, bad product. We ordered a tub and were told 3-5 days. We called every day, they don't return calls. When we did get someone on the phone, they would tell us it wasn't ready but gave no reasons. When the tub did arrive on a Friday, they told us that day and every day until Thursday that it wasn't there yet. On the Thursday when someone finally looked in the warehouse, they discovered it had been there for almost a week. When we picked up the tub the flange was screwed on, not one piece like they said it would be. The flange on one side was 2.5" short from the edge, and 1.5" short from the edge on the other side. The "pre-leveled" frame was out of level by half an inch away from the drain. When I called Standard Plumbing nobody knew anything, until someone finally told me "that's just how tubs are". DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! read more
