There are days that go good and days that go bad. I am reporting that my visit on Saturday went badly. This weekend I already had a project planned out; replace a toilet. I found and printed the model of what I needed from the Lowe's website. Arrived at the store, not terribly busy yet, probably still early in the day for others and their memorial weekend projects. Quickly found the toilet I wanted and realized that there was no way it would fit in the shopping basket. Somehow I had thought it would come in two boxes instead of one large box. It is going to be heavier then I though also. I ask a Lowe's associate walking by, "Where can I find one of the flat carts?" He told me that if there weren't any out in the garden department that they were probably all out in the parking lot and I'd have to go look there and then he walked off. I thought to myself, "Are you kidding me? Some help..." Ok, fine. I'll go take a look in the garden department for a cart. On my way, another associate walks by me wheeling one of the flat carts. I ask after him, "Hey, can I have that cart?" "Nope", he said without even turning or stopping. WTH? I called out after him, "What is your name?!" Now he stops and with a smarmy grin on his face says, "Oh, well this is for someone else in the BBQ department." I again ask, "What is your name?" He says his name is Greg and then he turns and leaves. I'm done here. I did go up to the customer service desk and ask to speak to a manager. The girl said she was a manager and I explained to her what had happened. She handled it appropriately. Me, the upset customer, she was apologetic and offered to have me helped. No, I've had two of your associates blow me off in just under 10 minutes when all I needed was the cart to load the thing that I would have happily paid for. Went in yesterday with plans to spend about $400 on smart home security items (door knobs and deadbolts). After selecting the model that I wanted it and not seeing it, I asked for help. "Well if you don't see it, we probably don't got it " said the useless employee. Then he just walked away. What happened to "do you want me to order one for you "? Do you want me to check other stores in the area "? I could have ordered it online from Lowe's. But after that, I decided to actually pay more money, but go to a store that offers customer service. In a world dominated by Amazon, brick and mortars better figure out that customer service is the ONLY thing left that they have to offer! read more

Need to give a mad shout out to Brad in the paint department at Lowe's Quarry Bend in sandy. I have a wallpaper/paint project that is very involved and difficult. Brad gave me a very clear tutorial on all the steps I need to take, he selected all the items I would need for my project and gave me all the different options I could take to get the job done. Went to this Lowe's location for the first time. Busy place! Plenty of parking but not enough folks at the cash register to help you check out. Nice store though and great selection. Will return in the future. read more

I really don't like writing negative reviews, but, I wish I would have known how this store works before I tried working with them. Awful. Simply awful. I could write a book about the problems we have had in the past year. To be as brief as possible: 1. We paid for a fridge that was never ordered, when it finally came it was damaged when they were bringing it into the house, the delivery people called me a liar that they damaged it even though I watched them do it, when the manager finally got involved they said they would replace the doors that were damaged. It never happened. Only after repeatedly going to the store did they bring us a new fridge which was also damaged and required them to use parts from both refrigerators to get one that wasn't damaged. This process took nearly 6 months from start to finish. They did give a concession on the price, but, the time cost on my part far exceeded the concession. 2. I should have learned from my first experience, but, I was enticed by a deal that they offered to do a free install when enough carpet was purchased that I tried using them again. I worked with 3 different carpet people to finalize the purchase. The space was measured, the cost provided, and so a contract was signed and I paid for the carpet with the included removal of the old carpet and installation of the new carpet. One of the store managers called me and said they would not do the order because they were not making enough money on it. She said the employees all made mistakes. She would not connect me to the actual store manager or the regional manager. Only after several lengthy discussions and informing them I would pursue arbitration as outlined in the contract did they agree to do the job. The installers did a terrible job. The carpet was glued down as we requested and there are bubbles and ripples all throughout the carpet. We had just had the entire place repainted and they scratched and scuffed the walls all over the place and now we have to have it re-painted. They sent out an inspector who said he thought they did a fabulous job installing the carpet. I couldn't believe it. It looks so bad. He also blamed the painters for not doing a better job with the paint for why they damaged it. Ridiculous. I won't be returning. read more

My husband and I needed a new washer. I did research and we saw that the one we wanted was $20 less at Lowe's, so we went there. We found the washer, looked for workers, and saw a few, but none approached us. We seriously waited for 20 minutes while two talked to each other and ignored us when we asked for help. Luckily waiting so long allowed me to find an alternate washer I wanted, we left and went to Home Depot. There the washer was significantly less and we were approached immediately and their customer service was amazing. This has sealed my decision that I will NEVER shop at Lowe's again. Home Depot now has my business for life. If I could give zero stars I would, especially because when we walked out into he peaking lot about 8-10 employees were out there "getting carts," and laughing and messing around. It was the worst service I have ever seen. read more

Regarding Lowes Sussex County DE store customer service. I have found that trying to get help from an employee in this store is not a good experience. I needed help with gas grills. After a couple pages and 1/2 hour of waiting for someone to not show up, I left. Other times I have found it poor too. I do see employees talking an laughing in groups though. I did send an email to corporate customer service and got a lovely form letter email back. It seems they don't care either. I was a solid customer at Lowes, but not any more. It is no wonder that Home Depot stock has twice the value of Lowes. I also bought a refrigerator from Lowes. It came to me damaged, as did the two replacements that were sent to my home. The first driver lied to me when he said I would have a new door in 2 days. That does not happen. The second driver told me that they are not allowed to inspect appliances before delivery. Good luck with that. I did get a lovely form letter email though. Ugh! read more

If I could give it a lower rating I would. To be fair, the store itself and its contents are great. However, I've been renovating a house I bought to live in and the whole process has been a flippin' nightmare. I won't go into detail, but no one answers their phones, no one places courtesy calls to tell you they won't be there or will be late, their outsourcing people suck (Heartland/Backyard Solutions to be specific). I have never had an experience like this and I'm done. Most of the people at Lowe's have been helpful, but even they can't get anywhere. I'm so fed up with this whole process I'm now regretting deciding to renovate. read more

Needed a lawn fertilizer, asked the cashier in the garden section where the fertilizer is kept. She wasn't sure. I find the fertilizer and bring it to the cashier. The woman in front of me is waiting for someone to get an item off one of the higher shelves, the cashier just chats with her rather than help me or the people lining up behind me, we are all going to have to wait for someone to get the item off of the upper shelves. Finally the item is retrieved, the customer had paid and has her receipt, but the "item retriever" is now discussing the plans to put this item in the customers car. Not moving to let anyone else check out, the cashier is just standing there with a glazed over look. Finally said something and they moved. I do not understand why people accept this type of service from these giant box stores, but would give hell to a small mom and pop type operation for anything even remotely resembling this service. If the fertilizer I needed was available anywhere else I would have paid more and drove further for it. read more

Lowe's Home Improvement - Hardware Stores Near Me - Sandy, Utah

Walked in, found the dowel I needed, went to find employees--hard to find--to see if I could get it cut to the length I needed. I was told no, they don't cut dowels. Another employee chimed in "we have a hand saw." The third employed said "we don't cut them unless he wants to use the hand saw." Second dude repeated several times they had a hand saw. First kept saying they don't cut them. Round and round and round until I was dizzy. I finally set the dowel down on the floor in front of them and said "I'm going to Home Depot." They acted snarky and told me go then. Unbelievable. At Home Depot, you can cut them yourself with a hand saw right in the aisle. Thought I'd save some time that day going to Lowe's, but I walked out empty handed. read more

Overall a good store, lots of stuff, can be difficult to find help - unless upper mgmt happens to be visiting. The entry and exit both stink like gas is leaking, I did tell a clerk months ago but still stinks. Great sales on left over plants in Fall. read more

This afternoon I visited the Lowe's in Sandy. The associate working in the doors department was with a customer when I arrived. He greeted me and said he'd be with me soon. I patiently waited. After a while he loaded up some doors for the other gentleman, said again that he'd be right with me, then disappeared. After 40 minutes of waiting I finally left. The store wasn't busy and there were plenty of other associates that weren't busy. Apparently Lowe's doesn't cross train in different departments. read more

We bought a shed from here last year, and it was fairly priced, delivered on time, and still works pretty well. But what prompted me to write this review is actually what they messed up, and how they fixed it to my satisfaction. We bought a $1400 fridge that was supposed to be here this morning. I called at 2pm, to find that I was supposed to be called and informed that said fridge would not be delivered today. In fact, if hasn't even made it to the store. And nobody knew where it was. We made an appointment to talk to the appliance manager, who apparently did not work today. So naturally, we move right up the ladder to his boss so we could pretty much get a refund. The assistant manager, John, went out of his way to track down our fridge. Still on the west coast. For the next 5 weeks. But, he got us a better fridge at no additional charge and remained cool, friendly and professional regardless of my irateness. 2 of these 4 stars belong to him. Good job, John. ______________________update_________ So the delivery guys just showed up, a day earlier than we expected. So far, they have been going above and beyond to make this right. I'm upgrading to 5 stars. read more

I will never shop at this location again. First, I was in the garden department searching for a small bag of potting soil. I asked the Lowe's employee in the section where to find it and he responded, "That's a good question." A customer who was nearby stated, "Oh, it's just around the corner." I then was looking for a coffee maker so I asked another employee where they were. He literally stared at me in silence, looking perturbed and said, "Check back around Thanksgiving." I went on to look for a stud finder and knew it was in aisle 59, but I couldn't find the aisle. I asked an employee where aisle 59 was. In an irritated response, he never got out of his chair and just started pointing and giving directions seemingly not wanting to be bothered. Finally, the icing on the cake occurred at checkout. One item was accidentally scanned twice. I asked the attendant to help me resolve the issue. The elderly lady walked over and rudely said, "Stand back please!" Then she continued mumbling under her breath and said, "I can't believe anyone is not wearing a mask. I have been wearing a mask for the past three months." That comment was directed at me because I wasn't wearing a mask. What right does a Lowe's employee have to lecture me about my choice to wear a mask or not. This was a model example of poor service and I will NEVER set foot in this Lowe's again! read more

Not impressed!!! Ordered a fan and was told it would be ready in a week or so for pick up. Went to the store and Cassidy at the front end seem more than lethargic and non wanting to help as she was "under to weather and wanted to go home". She couldn't locate the fan and a supervisor said she would call the warehouse to locate it. She then said it was closed for the evening and would call me first thing in the morning. She didn't call. I called around 5 pm and talked to Cody (Kody), a supervisor. He was able to locate it and indicated it would be another week or two. When I bought the fan, I was took it would be at the store within a week... this is now two weeks after I ordered the fan and now I have to wait another two weeks! Cody was not the polite with his phone skills either! Not impressed!!!!!! read more

Do not - I repeat - do not order cabinets from Lowes. We love our Kraftmaid cabinets but should have ordered from some other distributor. Once the cabinets were ordered - - we never heard from the sales person. In fact - never heard from installer until I went into the store and located a manager (took four trips to the store but finally found someone to help me). Guess what they told me - - oh, our system says the installer tried to call you on specific date. No record on my phone of call. They ordered wrong sized cabinets which caused extra expenses with our countertop & contractor. When I called to ask for help - - no one called me back for days. When I called corporate customer service, they said someone would call from the store to resolve my issues. No one called - when they did - they said "We've been trying to get a hold of you!" Un-truthful! Lowes - when you are calling a cell phone (or any phone) it records who is calling. WAKE UP! Don't lie to the customer about trying to call when someone has just typed in your system that they tried to call. DO NOT ORDER FROM LOWES! read more

I live in Sandy utah. I made an order online 5 days ago for 10 items mostly kitchen cabinets, not sure if it was store specific but maybe from sandy online. I think i spoke to someone who said orders are 3-7 business days. The order gets split into different stores apparently because not just one store has it all. i then get a call the next morning saying that one of the items in the order was cancelled because the store didn't have it. but they say order it from this other store because they have it. ok fine, order it from them, oh wait, that order gets cancelled again because, oh, they don't have it in stock physically. Ok so now they recommend just order phsycailly in person from the murray store so that the warehouse would send the item to that specific store. ok so i'm like ok ill do that, but please make sure that my other order was cancelled. they say , yes its cancelled. To be sure, i called a second person to confirm it was cancelled and they say yes, it is cancelled. I go in person to the Murray, UT store to purchase it in person so that they send that item there from the warehouse. I then go online the next day and i still see that order online pending - NOT CANCELLED. I called them and asked them why it wasn't cancelled and they are not sure. but fine, just leave it not cancelled then because now apparently they have one more of the items i want in the store. So I call the sandy lowes and want to know how long its going to take. They say the order is coming from multiple stores and they don't have access to see that info from other stores but the one from that store is estimated to arrive on Friday of next week, which is nearly 2 weeks from when i originally ordered it. From what i understand I was told estimated timeframe of 3-7 busienss days so that long is really frustrating. Also, since there were a bunch of cancellations and re-orders throughout this process now I have two delivery bills on these order and so I call Sandy to ask if they can just put it in one delivery. THey say to call the Murray Lowes to see if they can waive the delivery on that one. I call them and they say they can't but they recommend calling sandy again to do an ICM or ICB or something where the truck goes to another lowes to pick up the items so that it is in all one delivery. I call back sandy and they say they can't but that most of the items are coming from the west jordan lowes and see if maybe they have all the items in stock for the order over there to see if can be placed in one order and they say maybe do phone sales purchase of the remaining items and cancel the items coming from the murray, riverdale, and sandy store. So i'm like ok, ill try. I call west jordan and they say that we could try to do a phone sale but they can't find my order. THEY CAN"T FIND MY ORDER???? Wow, so i'm really frustrated at this point if 4 days into this mess they can't even find my order. They say its in part to this new system. THey send me to this other guy on the phone and says he doesnt have access to this info but that the first guy i talked to should have the info. Also, the day before I called a couple of lowes and one of the people never called me back ( i think from West jordan). So the guy from west jordan then says he's going to figure this out and that he would call me back. I then get a call back from the Sandy store i think and they say they will talk with the manager to figure all this out. This has been a disgustingly horrible experience. I feel horrible. All I want is for the items for which i paid more than 1000 dollars and even multiple times mind you, to be delivered in a timely manner. And yet, it seems that I'm the one who has to do all the work to ensure that it arrives on time, hopefully coordinating with me so that I'm home. I've already spent 4+ hours on this on phone and in person just trying to figure this out. I'm not upset with the individuals really that helped me, i'm sure they are trying their best but I think its a business process issue that needs to be fixed. read more

We would like to let you know that we used to go to Home Depot for all types of items we would like to purchase. Now we have been going to Lowes @ Quarry Bend in Sandy, Utah. You employ the friendliest, kind, willing to assist with any help we may need. Brad, who works in the paint area. Is Absolutely the Best, being knowledgeable person we have ever met. He is remarkable. About 25 years ago we remodeled our main bathroom. In a dove grey color, Hexagon Sink, Toilet. But we had a person come to renovate our "white bathtub" to grey to matched. Now it is older and the Paint? to which is now (around the taps and water ) started to chip and peel in and area. and peel down the wall, and around the drain. First, Brad your employee, after we told him about how it could fix it. One of the nicest Person's we have every met, had a kit ready. Up and straight forward He took us to a kit he read all the instructions, follow me. He sold us every thing we needed to repair and fix our porcelain tub. Plus, he himself copied the instruction from what was the "Kit" Made them for us. We are both in our mid seventies (My husband it a master at renovating everything.)
