This little family and locally owned nursery is one of my very favorites, and they just continue to grow and offer more with each new year! For example, they currently have a small, but varied assortment of trees (lots of fruit) and bushes. In the past, it felt like they mostly specialized in annuals and planters, but they now carry many perennials as well as a whole plethora of herbs, and a mix of popular vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers, melons, etc). Early in the season, you will find raspberries, blackberries, grapes, and even elderberries. Prices are outstanding and just about the cheapest I have found anywhere. This year they've added a water feature near checkout (which is fun on it's own!), and have native pond plants for sale such as parrots feather, marsh celery, water hyacinth, and many more. Their shop houses a selection of Tagge's salsa, honey, and other pantry foods, plus local meat, and as spring merges into summer, a growing collection of local produce and other treasures reminiscent of a farmer's market. They have added a limited section of fertilizers and other garden supplies this year. Highlights of last weekend's visit included fresh locally baked cookies for sale at checkout and an open pen of piglets! The employees are all charming and helpful, passionate and SO friendly - one even remembered me from last year. They are very active on social media, and a follow on Facebook or Instagram will notify you of sales and other specials. They are great about responding to online enquiries, too. Lastly, you can stop by Sundays, which is rare for both a nursery and a local market. I love supporting Kuwahara, and though I never plan it, end up here almost once each week.

Great assortment of plants and flowers! Great hot pickles. Would love to have tons of the hanging flower baskets they have.

These folks are fantastic. Best selection, best prices, family owned, and their potting soil is the best I've ever used.

Always a pleasure to buy from any of the Kuwahara locations. Great family run business with very good prices and quality plants/produce.

There are a few pumpkin patches in the area, but Pumpkin Point wins out for us on the hay ride…read morefactor alone. Our kids just love that and the little corn "maze". It's a nice touch and takes this to a complete family night activity. Late in the season there are quite a few bad/questionable pumpkins, but still plenty of good ones to choose from. And prices are super great. We went twice and got 5 pumpkins total and spent less than $10. Can't beat that!

I must admit this place is pretty cool. I've driven past it many times and seen the pumpkins when…read morethey are in season, and the fall setup coming up to Halloween with the pumpkin patch, corn maze etc. but didn't really have a reason to actually visit until we had family staying with us and a kid who wanted to carve pumpkins. Well he had a whale of a time here climbing on the old tractors, wheeling his wheel barrow of pumpkins and finding that magical "golden" one he just had to have. It was a fun time for him and us as onlookers! We got three pumpkins, since I'm not one to be out done so I had to have my own, as of course did his parents! They are now carved and proudly displayed on our front porch, a real menacing sight for all the trick or treaters in a couple of weeks! Total cost for the pumpkins, which are all pretty good sized ones, I think was $14. It's great value especially when you factor in the fun time of carving them and of course the number of door to door solicitors I'm hoping they scare away to boot! This is also a locally owned, family business, something I am only too happy to support.
