I quickly found an employee to help me and she search all over the store. Front stock room, back stock room, and even started diving into pallets to find them. She then consulted other employees and verified that the site was just wrong. Devasted and thinking I wasn't going to have the main gift for my wife in time, she offered to see how quick she could get it to me. We had trouble finding my order number, so I showed her my phone and she swiftly navigated to the right information. Try and get in touch with ANYONE by phone, I dare you! The horrible new AI answering system is any indication of the service that you will get at this Best Buy, you're better off buying from Walmart! You cannot get through no matter what you ask for, AI tells you to explain further, then disconnect the call! I have just spent a half hour listening to their AI, trying to get connected to and getting hung up on by AI! I went to Best Buy the day after Christmas to repair my phone screen. Lawrence the assistant manager here is extra helpful and polite, however the staff that do repairs are a bit unmotivated. I had a screen warranty repair plan for my phone that is truly Awesome. I paid an initial fee and everytime I need my screen replaced they will change it out at no charge. However it's quite dismal to have to go get it repaired at the geek squad service counter. The phone people don't really want to do it because they want to sell phones and the tech squad is understaffed and service the appointments first. I tried to schedule an appointment through the app but I wasn't able to. I sought out help from one of the managers and Lawrence immediately found an employee to do my repair. I have encountered him before and experienced the same positive resolution. I give 5 stars for Lawrence and the only reason I gave Best Buy the 4 stars is because of him as well or Best Buy may have received a 2 or a 3 rating. read more

I am a total protection member for BB. I paid $275 for these and with the Total Protection Warranty I'm supposed to receive all of my funds in store credit to replace or get something better if I add some funds. First, I want to give kudos to an associate named Eric and a manager named Sol. They were both so friendly and went above and beyond. Eric assisted me for nearly 30 mins finding an external hard-drive for a mac. The section was a mess. We couldn't find what we were looking for, so Eric recommended the 2TB I have in the picture. While it says $59.99 for 2TB, it rung up as a different price. Manager Tyler never looked at the picture to even see that the brand and storage amount were the same. His customer service wasn't terrible but not great. Manager Sol ultimately assisted me. He looked at the picture and immediately understood the confusion. He didn't accuse me or blame his associates. We went into Best Buy to change our Iphone battery. The rep check out the phone, ran some diagnostics and told us we had to turn off find my iphone. We turned it off and was told we had to come back in an hour for find my iphone to reset. She had already rung up the order and said it would be ready to be worked on when we returned the phone. She also grabbed a battery that was in stock. We went home and returned in exactly one hour for the battery to be replaced, but suddenly we're told oh, we sold that battery already. I was like what?! We had that battery reserved already and was told to come back in one hour to have it replaced. This is poor customer service. We were never told that that was the last battery and that they could sell it to another customer before we come in an hour. We would've gladly paid for the battery in advance if we knew it was the last one or that they would sell it to another customer. They could've even called us to confirmed we're coming back in the hour for the battery. We wasted two trips coming there when we had already confirmed our battery exchange. Bought a gaming PC IN 11/2025. It stopped working so I took it back to Best Buy and met with "geek squad". You can pay $250 ( not exactly sure but its up there $$$). to diag it and get it fixed on the "spot" or you can exercise your factory warranty wait up to 30 days and see if it's remotely covered by manufacturer BEWARE: ( I didn't know this ) SOFTWARE ITEMS ARE NOT COVERED ONLY HARDWARE. SOoOo I opted for "30 day option". Within 10 days i get contacted and asked to come in. When I got there i met with Scott! He was a true professional and super helpful. Reviewed extended warranty options, geek squad membership ( all tiers) and helped me finalize a replacement which was covered by manufacturer. But that's not why I was even more impressed; I asked if there was a way to transfer all the stuff I had downloaded, saved files etc on my pc to the new pc.... AND FOUND OUT NO, and if I did want to have backed that up I would've had to do it WHEN I FIRST BROUGHT IT IN. (( sucks because the original guy never gave me that my option and I lost some neat stuff I had worked on in the short time I owned it). You do have to pay to have it backed up, but I did not know. I have used Webroot for my on line security protection for years, when my renewal came up recently, I wanted to upgrade my account. I started an online chat and after the usual interrogation by the Chatbot, and was transferred to a live agent. That person said that she would have to transfer me to someone else. The next person said the same thing. Each agent I was transferred to asked me to wait two to three minutes while they read the transcript of the last conversation. I gave up after the fourth transfer. I like using Webroot, but if they can't do a simple thing like upgrade my plan, I will be looking at other options. read more

I stopped by to grab a couple Oculus extended batteries because the ones that come with them don't last long. I visited the Bakersfield location and they had them for $40 each. At the time I decided to wait and I regret that now. I was in Palmdale and dropped buy to pick them up. I figured they would be in the same vicinity as the other location and they weren't so I walked around with no luck. I finally found an employee to ask he pointed in the far right corner and said over there. It would have been nice for him to bring me to the location. Then he would have seen there weren't any there. Maybe he could have checked another location or helped me figure out a solution. I wasn't going to chase him down I was to irritated. Took my wife's minicomputer to Geek Squad to fix a corrupted file. Two days later we received a call that the computer was ready for pick up. We spent 10 dollars in gas to go pick it up, but when they started it up for us, it still would not work. Now I can't follow the status of my service order online because it is still marked as ready for pickup (has not been revised since we left the store). My wife called yesterday and the person she spoke to said he would update the online status so we will know when it's ready. He said someone was working on her computer. It is now another day and no call from them. Online status still has not been revised. I tried calling today but customer service would not transfer us to their department. Customer service was supposed to relay a message, but it has been six hours, and they still haven't called. I guess I will have to spend gas money to go back tomorrow and hope that it is fixed. read more

I've never been so frustrated in all my life. Yesterday, June 24, 2024, I brought my phone into the Geek Squad in Palmdale store to transfer all data from my old phone onto the new phone. SCOTT helped me to achieve that. This included a new screen protector to be installed as well. When I took my phone home, I noticed the screen protector had air bubbles on it. Plus Scott locked me out of my phone. He put in the wrong pass code in. He also forgot to give me a receipt. So the next day, I went to correct the situation. I in a secluded area, rural. Dirt road. I had contractors that morning at 10. Installing carpet in one room another picking up a full trailer of the previous carpet after doing the flooring. Large vehicles. So I get this email that bestbuy is coming at 11:45 with a new refrigerator. I remove the contents to save the folks time. 12 I get a call that the driver can't make it up the hill in his truck. There is mud. We've had some weather, there is MUD. My wife drives a Prius, Amazon and UPS drive their mammoth trucks up here in the snow the previous Friday. At the same time some drivers can't handle MUD. I get a call later from a bestbuy rep asking if the appliance was delivered. No it has not been delivered, in fact please note to have a confident, capable driver deliver it next time. Her answer: he was in an 18 wheeler sir. When has geek squad delivered appliances in big rigs? I've never seen one parked residentially. Please let me know if you have, I may be way of the mark but this was silly. I've cancelled my electric range and dishwasher.
