Being tired of buying big box store appliances that would break every year, we researched and decided to purchase a Speed Queen washer. Authentic Appliance was the only place in the Antelope Valley (Palmdale/Lancaster CA) area. This was the first time that I had known or entered this business. The show room was a lot larger than I expected. The co-owner was very nice and professional. She greeted me right away and asked if she could show me any particular appliance. I told her our situation and she showed me all of the Speed Queen washing machines and the history of the Speed Queen. She made sure exactly what I wanted and expected from this type of washing machine. I had lots of questions and she answered all of them, and she did so by not making me feel like she was rushing me. I also discovered in our conversation that she and her husband own the store. And she does the sales portion and ordering and her husband handles the deliveries and the repairs. Then added that he does not have to do hardly any ever repairs with the Speed Queen brands, and that they own a Speed Queen as well. I liked that she didn't shy away from the "I wish it had this" or "it could improve on this" responses to me. I loved her honesty! I of course I purchased our very first Speed Queen washer. And we absolutely LOVE it. I wanted to wait at least 6 months or 1 year before making a response. I wanted to make sure that I was still happy with our purchase. We plan on moving away from the Antelope Valley. Now we wonder if we will sense our Grandkids are here. So, if we do decide to stay here or move to a better area in the AV, we will 100% buy ALL of our appliances from Authentic Appliances. And we will be needing to make that decision very soon. If we stay, we will be buying a new dryer, new refrigerator, oven/stove very soon. And once our big box dish washer breaks, we will be buying all of these from Authentic Appliance! Oh, I forgot to mention.... he delivered and set up our new washer as soon as it came in from Speed Queen. It was on back order because folks are like us, fed up with these big box crappy appliances. We needed a new wall oven and the big box stores couldn't answer simple questions. Decided to shop local and so glad I did. Jeff took the time to explain several different options to me. He explained that I needed an oven that had the correct amperage for my house. Jeff was very thorough with his questions as to what we did with our oven (i.e. bake, broil, etc.). He explained the difference between different setting on the ovens (Convection, etc.). Jeff went above and beyond to get us the perfect oven for our needs. I recently used their services and my goodness... it was beyond my expectations! I called several appliance repair locations within the Antelope Valley and Santa Clarita Valley because I needed my washing machine repaired ASAP. However, this was the first place that answered my call and treated me as if I were a potential customer. Stacey was very helpful over the phone. Despite the fact they were booked solid (a good sign they conduct an ethical business) for about a week, she was able to get me booked for an in-home inspection. After the inspection, I discovered my 6-year-old washer was going to cost more to repair than replace. I chose to replace my washer and told Jeff I would call their business once I went to Lowe's and found a washer so Authentic Appliance could install the washer for me. He agreed to do so and with no pressure, he told me to check the Authentic Appliance website or visit their showroom to see what options they offered. I agreed to do so. I stopped by Lowe's and their wait time was horrible... and this was just to speak with an associate regarding a couple of washers. After waiting for about 20 minutes, I gave up. The next day I went to the Authentic Appliance showroom and found a washer that Lowe's did not offer. I set up an appointment for delivery and installation and as promised... Jeff showed up on time and quickly installed it leaving my laundry room looking better than I had it before. He explained all of the features of the washing machine, unlike Lowe's did when I bought the original machine. My LG fridge broke over 3.5 weeks ago, I was looking through Yelp for an appliance service company that could come and take a look at it and Stacey B. replied to my inquiry and informed me about an extended warranty on the compressor and advised me to contact LG directly to avoid messing with the warranty. I contacted LG and they informed me that the repair will be covered under warranty as a "one time courtesy". Long story short: They're honest and they didn't stop until it was fixed Authentic Appliance is one of only two Bosch dishwasher repair companies in all of Southern California. Bosch directed me to them when our dishwasher stopped working. Bosch technical support steered myself and Authentic Appliance in the wrong direction, but that didn't stop Authentic. They kept going until it was working again and only charged us the proper amount and not extra for all of the unnecessary parts and labor Bosch technical support is responsible for.
