Cancelled appointment day of to repair a dryer that they said they repaired on previous visit where the problem was worse after they left.

My G.E. washer was working fine, but I noticed a puddle of water on floor every time I used it, so I called in a service claim with Lowes. I selected Christo Appliances (the contractor) since they are local. Their tech came out to do a simple diagnostic. My washer was leaking water (either from door seal or from detergent tray). He opened up the control panel to see if any electric component was getting wet. It was dry. Tech told me it seemed like it was coming from the detergent tray (I later saw it come out of the door's seal). He told me to call another company to confirm his diagnostic (WHY??) that they had to close the claim but once I got another company to confirm his diagnostic, he would come back. That sounds so wrong. That's not how claims should be handled. If I call another company, then that new company will probably fix it (unlike Cristo). I used my Washer that day the tech checked my washer. Well, it's not working properly anymore. The washer stopped in the middle of the cycle, and the door wont open. it's stuck! Today is Friday. I have been calling them since Wednesday and they haven't returned my call. I'm very upset and will not be using them in the future. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I should have read their reviews before I gave them my business. They have lots of bad reviews. read more

This was the appliance company sent out by the appliance warranty company. The tech was polite. I explained that my ice maker went out 4 weeks before. Another company came and replaced the parts sent by the warranty company. It worked for 2 weeks and shut off for 3 days. Then made 1 batch of ice. He ran a few tests and said the mother board for the ice maker was probably faulty and he would request the warranty company to send that. He then reported to the warranty company that he couldn't replicate the issue and then closed my claim. Not a fan of being lied too. I read the reply from the owner. I will reach out to the warranty company with their statements and see what they say. Thanks read more

Do Not Ever Hire this company!!!!!My washer was washing fine before this repair guy. I Called the appliance warranty company because it did get stuck once. Somehow I managed to make it work. However, the repair guy said it was a balance problem. He showed up and replaced the part and said he was all done. He made it worse, my washing machine doesn't work at all now. "H2O error". He never bother to check if the washer worked after changing the part. I called the guy back and he said I have to process another claim. Scam Artist... You can see her unprofessional condescending replied below. No worries, we had a professional who fixed your techs mistakes. When he changed the balance springs part, he connected the h2o hoses all incorrectly. All I wanted is for my appliance to be fix. Someone else had to fix your mistakes. Horrible company!!! Apparently they have a reputation for not fixing the problems. Go to the google reviews!!! read more

5 stars from the start. Several days prior to scheduled service, received a call from the company letting me know about having sooner availability, and was advised a tech will call when they are on their way the day of scheduled service. Today, Matthew the tech sure did call, and was 20 minutes out which gave me ample time to get my dog in and open the gate. Matthew is very professional and polite. He was able to find the issue with my appliance and fixed it! Great communication from this company and I really appreciate it. Keep up the great work and stay cool! read more

i called about a refrigerator repair and this is the worst company you could ever find in the av. stay away from them. they will waste your time. they arent event an actuall business! this is a family ran company and they won't provide you service and lie to your face. please please please don't waste your time with these rude a@@ people. the lady over the phone didn't even sound confident as they know they are running a scam. stay away! Just letting you know now your company is under high investigation #UCLABRUINS Apart of this investigation, There address is fake. Do your research y'all. The number on google is misleading and the number on here is the actual owner of this business. They charge y'all a service fee and don't come back because y'all really can't find them at the end of the day as they "appear to do work" These people are clearly scammers and the "owner" who's going to write a review for this is going to claim they took pictures and they were when obviously she will be bias on her own company if she is even real. Ask for a manager? Nope. These people are terrible and they know what they are doing with these other fake 5 star yelp reviews who are most likely other members of there family. Look at the pictures of the people who are writing these reviews that are 5 stars. Also read the previous review on Matthew. Matthew is a mechanic for this company. How is going to write a review for his own fault. Look at the tone the "owner" responds to the message. So rude to call a customer a liar. You are mad because this false company will no longer be supported by a multitude of companies. The way you comment to these reviews only make you look worst. I am sorry for anyone that has had an interaction with this company. The fact that you bring my mom into this too you are a sad person that is dealing with personal issues within yourself scamming people, lying on this yelp page, and talking mess about them. Look in the mirror and repent cause clearly your personality is ugly, your finances may be ugly which is why you scam, and your way of living is clearly even more selfish and ugly. You could fool other people but you can't fool me. read more

I had an appliance warranty through Sears (Kenmore/LG). My tech came out early in his service window. He called ahead of time to ensure I was home. The repair was very thorough and was explained in detail. He also had all the parts needed. Most Appliance places don't have all the parts to fix an LG appliance. He even gave me his Cell just in case I had any issues. Very professional. I would recommend them. read more

So far, so good! Cristo was dispatched through home warranty for our dishwasher. The tech was super cool, explained the issue and showed us how to deal with it in the future! Service person came out for a warranty call. I relayed the fridge was not keeping temp. I had my digital thermometer to show and he stated that my new digital thermometer would not worka. I asked the refrigerator technician to use his thermometer and he stated his would take 2 hours to read the temp correctly and that he didn't have time to wait. It was an extremely frustrating situation when you have food spoiling and have to put your food in a cooler to ensure it doesn't go bad . He said there was no problem with the refrigerator and that it was cold enough based off him touching a soda can. I threw away hundreds of dollars of food and still don't have my refrigerator fixed. I called yesterday to tell them about my dishwasher giving me problems and they provided amazing customer service. Matthew was the one who helped me. He even asked if I wanted to try and fix it myself and he would walk me through it at no charge being considerate of covid and the financial impact it might have on people. He arrived the next day and did an amazing job with telling me what was wrong with my dishwasher and gave me pointers on how to fix it myself should the problem arise again so that I can save time and money. Great service and great work. I would recommend and would call them again should I require any appliance help again. read more

When I called for service on the number specified by the insurance company. Someone greeted me with concern about my situation. I would have have originally put an excellent review for Cristina Appliances. The tech Ian said ok all good if you have any issues please call the warranty company and we will come back out. So I was still having issues with my dishwasher and made an appointment with my warranty company and CRISTO closed my claim and canceled my appt without speaking to myself or my husband. So again made a claim and AGAIN CRISTO appliance closed my claim and canceled my appt both times without letting us the consumer or warranty company know! I hate leaving bad reviews but here we go. I found Matt through Craigslist explained to him that my dryer is not heating. He was able to come out in a few days. He explained that it was the hi-limit switch, so he replaced that. He was very detailed with his explanation so I thought great I can trust him. He also gave me a receipt stating I have a 90-day warranty. I was so appreciative like wow this guy is great. So he stated everything was fixed, tried drying a load next day...clothes were not drying. Called him to tell him the issue...so he came back out the following day stated it was the the igniter switch and replaced that. Mind you I had to pay him again. After he left, I tried drying and clothes were still wet. He stated if I still have an issue it must be the ducts. So I had someone come clean the ducts and they made sure that air flow was going to the dryer. I contacted Matt again and he stated that it's not enough air going to the dryer. I explained to him that the ducts were cleaned. He stated that he can come back again and replace ALL heating parts but I would have to pay again. I didn't think that it was ok because usually a person comes out, diagnoses the issue, and repairs that issue instead of guessing and just replacing parts. What sucks is now he is ignoring all my text and phone calls and I guess now my "90-day warranty" does not matter. I even stated that he can replace whatever he needs and I'll pay....he still ignored. I feel like I was taking advantage of because I'm a female, I'm not knowledgeable about appliance repairs, he's ignoring me even when he stated I had a 90-day warranty, and ultimately my dryer is NOT FIXED. Just a little background, my mom recently passed away and my mom and I adopted two girls. Here I am at 30, taking over my moms house and raising two teenagers 15 and 16. Trying my very best to raise them properly and keep the house running. Matt seemed like a family guy, he seemed nice and knowledgeable. I know for sure he would not want a Repair Man to take advantage of his daughter like this smh. But I do believe in Karma. Wish you well Matt. read more

Wow! Over and beyond great service. Had an appointment within a day. They gave me 8-10 window to arrive. At my door at 8:15ish and I received a courtesy call that he was on the way. He very respectful of my home, didn't just toss stuff around, answered all of my questions and submitted everything to the company that handles my extended warranty. Great job, thank you! read more

I can't say enough about these guys. Matt responded right away. Their prices are reasonable, they could have hustled me for more work but instead suggested a money saving better choice. Who does that? Highly recommended, we will definitely call them again. read more

They came out quickly to service my refrigerator which was not cooling. Other company's would set up an appointment and never show up but Cristo appliances scheduled me the next day. Matthew started taking part the unit when I told him what the problem was and he came to find out it was just the relay switch which starts my compressor. He fixed my unit at a ver fair price. Thank you Cristo Appliance. Highly recommend and will definitely use there service again! read more

So, as it happens with extended warranties on major appliances, the warranty on our LG refrigerator/freezer expired the month before the water/ice dispenser stopped working. We did a Google search for appliance repair near me and Cristo Appliances popped up and we called. They were friendly and professional on the phone and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Matthew, the service tech, called us to confirm the appointment and called again when he was 5 minutes out. He was actually early and showed up wearing the requisite face mask. He ran a diagnostic based on the error code displayed and discovered the fan in the freezer control panel was frozen; apparently we had left the freezer drawer open while organizing the recent purchases and we put too much stuff in the freezer. The freezer had actually started to defrost from being open so long and the fact we were experiencing 100 degree temps in April. We told Matthew about the warranty and he told us to call Lowe's to see if the extended warranty started from the date of purchase or after the 1 year manufacturer warranty ended. He didn't charge us for the service call just in case! How awesome is that! So, fast forward to July when we called back to have them order the part and schedule the installation of said part. The delay was from the need to empty the fully stocked freezer to allow 24 hours to defrost before the repairs could be done and a pipe bursting in our laundry room that flooded the back half of the house which included the kitchen so we were delayed for 2 months while our home was 'rebuilt'. Finally, we were able to schedule the part replacement and had 4 coolers with cold stuff from the unit and ice. Matthew showed up early again and had the freezer drawer door off, the control panel out, new one installed, door replaced, software updated, reset done and even helped us replace the sliding shelves (because we just couldn't get the darn thing to sit right). Then he wrote up the paperwork, ran our card and gave us a cheery 'Ciao' and 'call us if you have any problems'! After 24 hours we reloaded the unit with most of the stuff from the coolers, dumped the first batch of ice and went back to enjoying the convenience of having filtered water and ice at the touch of a button. Until a couple of days ago when the ice disappeared! Matthew showed up, hit the reset button (which I couldn't find cuz we did try to troubleshoot the problem ourselves) and took the access panel off and discovered the relay for the ice making portion was broken. He's going to order the part for us and have it delivered straight to us and give us the opportunity to try and install it; he showed us how. He said he didn't think it was right to charge us for a 5 minute fix we can do on our own. Who does that these days?! I am so tickled by the integrity and ethics demonstrated by Matthew and will recommend Cristo Appliances to everyone! read more

Matt was great... I can only praise this company! A few months ago i hired someone to fix my dryer from another Company, he changed 2 parts and it still was not working properly (loud noise)... but he wouldn't returned my calls. I usually don't write reviews, but I felt I needed to after my experience. Cristo Appliances came to fix my washer and I could not be any more happier with their quality, service, and the professionalism they provided. The technician arrived in a very timely manner and took the time to answer all my questions/concerns about my washer. He was up front about what my warranty covered, ordered parts, returned a day later, and quickly got my washer up and running again. Thank you Cristo Appliances for your amazing service. If I could rate this company with 0 I definitely would. Was referred to company by my home warranty. First of all I submitted 2 claims to home warranty company which then sent my claims to Cristo Appliances. Cristo Appliances said they only received in claim so I with several phone calls back n forth I finally got a date for repairs. Adam from Cristo resisted me twice that Mathew the tech was coming to repair both items Once Mathew arrived he only had one order not both. Again I spoke to Adam within 10 min of the tech leaving and again Adam told me he had both orders. Needless to say at the end of it all Cristo Appliances left me hanging because of their lack of communication between Adam in dispatch, Mathew the tech and the home warranty company.
