My G.E. washer was working fine, but I noticed a puddle of water on floor every time I used it, so I called in a service claim with Lowes. I selected Christo Appliances (the contractor) since they are local. Their tech came out to do a simple diagnostic. My washer was leaking water (either from door seal or from detergent tray). He opened up the control panel to see if any electric component was getting wet. It was dry. Tech told me it seemed like it was coming from the detergent tray (I later saw it come out of the door's seal). He told me to call another company to confirm his diagnostic (WHY??) that they had to close the claim but once I got another company to confirm his diagnostic, he would come back. That sounds so wrong. That's not how claims should be handled. If I call another company, then that new company will probably fix it (unlike Cristo). I used my Washer that day the tech checked my washer. Well, it's not working properly anymore. The washer stopped in the middle of the cycle, and the door wont open. it's stuck! Today is Friday. I have been calling them since Wednesday and they haven't returned my call. I'm very upset and will not be using them in the future. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. This was the appliance company sent out by the appliance warranty company. The tech was polite. I explained that my ice maker went out 4 weeks before. Another company came and replaced the parts sent by the warranty company. It worked for 2 weeks and shut off for 3 days. Then made 1 batch of ice. He ran a few tests and said the mother board for the ice maker was probably faulty and he would request the warranty company to send that. He then reported to the warranty company that he couldn't replicate the issue and then closed my claim. Not a fan of being lied too. I read the reply from the owner. Several days prior to scheduled service, received a call from the company letting me know about having sooner availability, and was advised a tech will call when they are on their way the day of scheduled service. Service person came out for a warranty call. I relayed the fridge was not keeping temp. I had my digital thermometer to show and he stated that my new digital thermometer would not worka. I asked the refrigerator technician to use his thermometer and he stated his would take 2 hours to read the temp correctly and that he didn't have time to wait. It was an extremely frustrating situation when you have food spoiling and have to put your food in a cooler to ensure it doesn't go bad . I hate leaving bad reviews but here we go. I found Matt through Craigslist explained to him that my dryer is not heating. He was able to come out in a few days. He explained that it was the hi-limit switch, so he replaced that. He was very detailed with his explanation so I thought great I can trust him. He also gave me a receipt stating I have a 90-day warranty. I was so appreciative like wow this guy is great. So he stated everything was fixed, tried drying a load next day...clothes were not drying. Called him to tell him the issue...so he came back out the following day stated it was the the igniter switch and replaced that. Mind you I had to pay him again. After he left, I tried drying and clothes were still wet. He stated if I still have an issue it must be the ducts. So I had someone come clean the ducts and they made sure that air flow was going to the dryer. I contacted Matt again and he stated that it's not enough air going to the dryer. I explained to him that the ducts were cleaned. He stated that he can come back again and replace ALL heating parts but I would have to pay again. I didn't think that it was ok because usually a person comes out, diagnoses the issue, and repairs that issue instead of guessing and just replacing parts. What sucks is now he is ignoring all my text and phone calls and I guess now my "90-day warranty" does not matter. I even stated that he can replace whatever he needs and I'll pay....he still ignored. I feel like I was taking advantage of because I'm a female, I'm not knowledgeable about appliance repairs, he's ignoring me even when he stated I had a 90-day warranty, and ultimately my dryer is NOT FIXED. Just a little background, my mom recently passed away and my mom and I adopted two girls. Here I am at 30, taking over my moms house and raising two teenagers 15 and 16. Trying my very best to raise them properly and keep the house running. Matt seemed like a family guy, he seemed nice and knowledgeable. So, as it happens with extended warranties on major appliances, the warranty on our LG refrigerator/freezer expired the month before the water/ice dispenser stopped working. We did a Google search for appliance repair near me and Cristo Appliances popped up and we called. They were friendly and professional on the phone and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Matthew, the service tech, called us to confirm the appointment and called again when he was 5 minutes out. He was actually early and showed up wearing the requisite face mask. He ran a diagnostic based on the error code displayed and discovered the fan in the freezer control panel was frozen; apparently we had left the freezer drawer open while organizing the recent purchases and we put too much stuff in the freezer. The freezer had actually started to defrost from being open so long and the fact we were experiencing 100 degree temps in April. We told Matthew about the warranty and he told us to call Lowe's to see if the extended warranty started from the date of purchase or after the 1 year manufacturer warranty ended. He didn't charge us for the service call just in case! How awesome is that! So, fast forward to July when we called back to have them order the part and schedule the installation of said part. The delay was from the need to empty the fully stocked freezer to allow 24 hours to defrost before the repairs could be done and a pipe bursting in our laundry room that flooded the back half of the house which included the kitchen so we were delayed for 2 months while our home was 'rebuilt'. Finally, we were able to schedule the part replacement and had 4 coolers with cold stuff from the unit and ice. Matthew showed up early again and had the freezer drawer door off, the control panel out, new one installed, door replaced, software updated, reset done and even helped us replace the sliding shelves (because we just couldn't get the darn thing to sit right). Then he wrote up the paperwork, ran our card and gave us a cheery 'Ciao' and 'call us if you have any problems'! After 24 hours we reloaded the unit with most of the stuff from the coolers, dumped the first batch of ice and went back to enjoying the convenience of having filtered water and ice at the touch of a button. Until a couple of days ago when the ice disappeared! Matthew showed up, hit the reset button (which I couldn't find cuz we did try to troubleshoot the problem ourselves) and took the access panel off and discovered the relay for the ice making portion was broken. He's going to order the part for us and have it delivered straight to us and give us the opportunity to try and install it; he showed us how. He said he didn't think it was right to charge us for a 5 minute fix we can do on our own. Who does that these days?! I am so tickled by the integrity and ethics demonstrated by Matthew and will recommend Cristo Appliances to everyone! read more

First of all I submitted 2 claims to home warranty company which then sent my claims to Cristo Appliances. Cristo Appliances said they only received in claim so I with several phone calls back n forth I finally got a date for repairs. Adam from Cristo resisted me twice that Mathew the tech was coming to repair both items Once Mathew arrived he only had one order not both. Again I spoke to Adam within 10 min of the tech leaving and again Adam told me he had both orders. Needless to say at the end of it all Cristo Appliances left me hanging because of their lack of communication between Adam in dispatch, Mathew the tech and the home warranty company. But he did try to trouble shoot before coming to make sure we didn't waste money on him coming.
