My dryer was squeaking for several months, so I searched the internet for appliance repair service, I choose Mikes Appliance Repair. I left a message and he returned my call quickly. He and his wife made an appointment to view the dryer and while here he suggested that both the belt, the suspected culprit, and dryer rollers be replaced to assure proper maintenance. I was reluctant to agree as the price for the added repairs was higher than I wanted to pay. Somewhat reluctantly, I agreed to the extra service. Mike ordered the parts and said he'd call when the parts arrived. I immediately called my great grandson Jonathan, who is an appliance repair agent in Idaho and asked him if he felt I might be being taken by this request for extra part repairs. He said he would have done the exact same thing. He also said the price was in the same range that they charge for the same service. Then grandson Jonathan told me to have them vacuum the inside of the dryer when they had it apart. When Mike and his wife arrived to install the parts, we found that one of the rollers was actually worn down significantly and had wheel debris in the dryer and was flopping loosely, probably the reason for the squeaking/squealing. Mike was right to suggest a complete repair, now I have an almost new dryer! Oh, by the way, Mike brought a vacuum and he and his wife vacuumed not only all parts of the dryer, but cleaned up behind the unit before putting it back into position. When I asked him to please vacuum the inside to the dryer, he said "that's why I have a vacuum, and we will do it". GREAT JOB, I am very particular and Mike more than satisfied my expectations. He will be my "GO TO" for appliance repair henceforth. read more
