I purchased a Mac after being told that if I opened a store credit card, I would receive 10% back on my purchase. I was explicitly told that all I needed to do was call the store after receiving my first credit card statement and they would apply the adjustment. When I called, I spent over an hour on the phone and was told I had to wait 15 days. I waited the 15 days, called back, spent another hour being transferred between representatives, and was then told I had waited too long and was no longer eligible. As a result, I never received the promised 10%. I feel completely misled into opening a credit card based on false information. This experience was exhausting, deceptive, and unacceptable. I have been warned about Best Buy by other unhappy consumers and now I know why. read more

This location is far less crowded than the Cherry Hill location and my preferred Best Buy. If you do an online order and store pickup, it's quick and painless, unlike the other place where you must wait forever at the checkout. Although there don't seem to be as many workers on the floor at the Mount Laurel Best Buy, it doesn't bother me since I prefer to be left alone while I shop. TIP: This location is super easy to get to, especially if you're coming off 295 South. It's the Tacony exit from that direction, which immediately empties you out into the shopping complex for ultimate convenience. read more

Very poor effort to resolve complaints. Overcharged $15 over advertised cost for TV mount. After mounting had issues with TV. No responsiveness from Best Buy or their third party TV mounting company requiring multiple calls to Verizon and a service call. It was discovered that mounting was performed inadequately with power source to cable box. Customer service was sympathetic but offered no options but to discuss with store manager. Of course store calls are all channeled to some central calling center, probably on a different continent. I will never shop here again. Bought the wrong phone at 11, returned it at 12 abd was charged a 45 dollar restocking fee on a 100 dollar phone. It's a Best Buy? You've been to one, you've been to them all! That said, they have a decent albeit pre-sanctioned Best Buy selection of all your top electronics. Sometimes there are good deals but for the most part, your experience will be dictated by what you're looking for. I bought a computer for my dad here. They had this HP desktop on sale about $300 cheaper than Amazon or HP! Unfortunately, they ran out of stock, but get this!........dot dot dot.....they'd order it and honor they price and have it shipped to the house FOR FREE! Not bad. The sales associate was very helpful and patient with my dad and I would happily mention his name if I could remember. On to the ugly, the bathroom. Bathrooms are not tidy at this location. If you're ever curious to why Big Box stores are going out of business, just take a quick trip here. My last two trips here left me extremely disappointed and in the future I'll be taking any business elsewhere. During my most recent trip I was looking to make and exchange on an item I had purchased. Upon entering the store I was directed to Customer Service. After a quick wait, I asked for help finding the item I needed. The Customer Service rep called in help on her walkie talkie. Apparently, with a store full of employees, no one was able to help so she pointed me in the general direction. After I came back with the item, I pulled up an exact match of the item on Amazon and was hoping to take advantage of their price match. Keep in mind the item on Amazon was less than half the price, upon showing the Customer Service my phone - she rudely told me that even though it was the same product (a "best buy brand product") they would not match it because it was through a "3rd party" on Amazon. So when she rang up the item, the price rang up wrong. And again, instead of leaving the counter she phoned in her walkie talkie for some delayed help. As I left the store I was asked to show my receipt and if I had found everything okay, I explained that no, I had trouble finding the item and that customer service was not helpful. This was not the response the employee expected and was totally unaware of how to respond. Unfortunately this is not a standalone experience, as the past few times in the store I have had the worst time trying to get someone to help me and have yet to be able to take advantage of their "price match." You're better off shopping at one of their local competitors for help, or on Amazon for a better price. read more

In late March I purchased a few items to help With working from home. I was told I would Get a rewards certificate for opening a Beat Buy credit card. I went to use the rewards today and I was told it expired. Apparently I had 2 months to use it. I was never told that. I honestly was never told that. I was told today sorry there's nothing we can do. So during a pandemic I'm supposed to use it or lose it. They must be doing so well that they don't care about the customer. When purchasing a new $4000 built in double oven, I did all the research and knew exactly what I wanted. Best Buy offered a competitive price and a totaltech care program that included delivery & installation. It was as smooth a buying process as I could have hoped for. The delivery and installation was scheduled for today. While the process included a text the day before confirming a time window, they were supposed to call that day to offer a more accurate time frame. NO CALL CAME. So I waited and waited and waited during the 6 hr original time window. NOTHING...no call no product no installation. So I call the Sales Rep who assured me during to purchase that if I had any issues, I could call him at the store. The phone rings off the hook and no answer. Called the customer service and after several rounds of Q&A I still have no answer as to when my installation will occur. The salesman called me and asked if I had heard from the delivery service, I hadn't, said he would contact them and call me right back. That was over 2 hours ago. I can't leave to go to the store to get any answers, because they may in fact show up and I have to be here. I am amazed at the lack of customer service a retailer could have, and if they are contracting with installers that cannot be reached for updates, then the need to rethink their practices. "Geek Squad are liars; do not go to them for anything. They told us to lie to Apple and claim our phone was completely broken when it wasn't. When we went to Apple, we had them fix our issue without lying, saving us valuable time while Geek Squad wasted our time. The only reason we went to Geek Squad was because Apple made us a same-day appointment over the phone, and that was our only option at the time. After wasting all day, canceling plans because of Geek Squad giving us the run around, and waiting for Apple to actually do good work, we found out that Geek Squad had lied. Apple informed us that no diagnostics had been run on the phone, despite Geek Squad's claim that they had. When we asked to see the diagnostics in the Best Buy and requested a printed copy, they refused, stating, 'No, we can't show customers our diagnostics.' Now we know why - because they didn't do it. Apple, on the other hand, showed us diagnostics without hesitation. Additionally, one of the Geek Squad employees was talking down to a customer." read more

I don't review often, even if I've had a bad experience, however we are appalled at the level of Service we received. This is pertaining to a Refrigerator purchase. We built a new home and scheduled delivery for the day we were moving in. We received multiple confirmations, text messages and e-mails boasting that the delivery is scheduled, "Today's the day" etc. Our appointment window was 2:30-4:30. At 4:09, we received a call advising they would be there in 40 minutes. NO CALL, NO SHOW. We had cold items in coolers and ended up losing close to a full grocery order that we had moved from our previous residence. We attempted to reach the driver with no luck. Knowing the area and knowing where he was coming from, It was going to take him well over an hour to get to us and likely just as far back - so he blew us off. We elevated our concern to Best Buy who seems to just be a middle man for the absolutely horrific logistics company they use for delivery. Best Buy advised a supervisor would contact me from the delivery company. This did happen, however she was absolutely obnoxious, rude and accused us of changing the delivery address, which did not occur. She kept asking me questions and would put me on mute, however I could hear the driver in the background. She ultimately said she would call me back in a few minutes - which never occurred. Instead, she sent an e-mail to Dan at Best Buy and advised we were okay with a delivery two days later, which we were not nor did we ever say we were. We then went back to Best Buy who advised there was a District Manager named Emily involved. We requested to speak to her multiple times. Dan from Best Buy advised she's really good on calling people back but she's on a ride a long. We still have not heard from Emily. She is clearly too high up the chain to speak directly with Customer's on such a small concern. We ended up getting our Fridge 2 days late. We lost all of our cold food and produce and frozen goods as well. If there is a silver lining, the delivery associate who finally put a Fridge in our Kitchen (John Watson) was absolutely terrific. Everyone else throughout this entire ordeal was not helpful, simply passing the buck and when we requested to speak to someone who might actually have some nominal level of Authority to help us(Emily), she was too busy or too pretentious to reach out to us. Sorely disappointed that this store would charge a $50 restocking fee for a lens that is not just in mint condition, I mean I said I opened the box but that's all, I did not even have to be honest about it... and opening the box is all I ever did, I even showed him the fact that it was in perfect condition. Ordered a computer for my granddaughter, it was not received when promised. I was told the next day.. and yes, no computer. I am not allowed to pick it up at the store, or cancel the order. It has not left the store but it is in "shipping process". They also have a recording on their phone that says "Thank you for calling best buy, we are not taking phone calls". The option that was left to me was wait 2 full weeks for it to be shipped from 4.3 miles away. I ordered it from Amazon and it will be here tomorrow. My only option is to cancel payment through my credit card. I bet when that is done, the shipment will be canceled. read more

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! I went to store to purchase an all-in one HP computer at the store in Marlton (Cherry Hill), NJ on Wednesday afternoon, September 10. The salesperson, a long haired man, allegedly wrote up the invoice and promised a delivery for Friday or Saturday. Today, Monday, September 14, after checking that no computer was delivered on the weekend, I called the store, I was told that there was NO EVIDENCE of ANY TRANSACTION WHATSOEVER! I then called corporate, spoke to an associate for over an hour. I had to enact a TOTALLY NEW with her, giving her my credit card data. I hope to get the computer delivered. However, I suggest that NO ONE should go to this particular BEST BUY until this salesperson (and the people who check purchase invoices) are no longer working there!! I bought a tv, a tv stand, and a refrigerator from Best Buy in Moorestown, NJ. I had a wonderful in store experience, and was planning on purchasing an oven and a microwave from them in the future. The tv was delivered with out an issue. When we received the tv stand it was broken. We called the store. Per the store, we went back. We ordered a new one, scheduled delivery and the store agreed to put it together for us at no additional charge. The window the day of delivery was 7AM-1PM. At 10:11AM the day of the delivery, we get a call from the delivery man saying the stand hasn't been delivered yet. He was eating while talking to me in the phone. We called the store and was told the stand we ordered is no longer available, but they can give us something similar. We said no thank you, and I emailed the parent company of Best Buy About my experience. A few hours later I received a cal from a member of the Executive Leadership Team. He said the stand we ordered is in transit and will schedule delivery when the stand is at the store. The new stand was delivered, and it was again broken. We reached out to the member of the Executive Leadership Team and asked him to cancel everything, which he did with out issue. Horrible experience! Communication is seriously lacking. read more

I told them that was too much and that I wanted the drive returned to me. After hearing nothing for 5 weeks, I went back. They gave me the hard drive back. It was destroyed. Called back the next day to order and first spent over 50 minutes on hold. OK, STILL want the rep to get her commission. Had one left in store but I had to pay at store to set aside. Huh? No CC# over the phone? Then they could't install until second week in September. OK, cancel install. Then they find a spot for next week but they can't take my old set away because of their "guidelines". As nicely as possible, I tell the man that they're making it too hard to buy a TV, I'll just go back to Amazon. I read recently that BestBuy had made a nice comeback financially. I can't see how. I'm trying to understand how Best Buy sells a remote start from Compustart with absolutely zero software on it. They don't inform their customer that it needs to be flashed prior to leaving the store. Basically I have a 400$ brick with wires... useless. I purchased a Sony turntable and it was missing the 45 adaptor. I have been unable to get through to the store after calling multiple times. I just called the store and the voicemail announcment says the store is closed. Sometimes when you call the store the line is busy. I called customer service and they told me to take it back to the store and they would give me another one. I went to the store Wednesday and they told me I would have to pay the difference in price. This is not what customer service told me. I spoke to the store manager and he said he would see if he could find one. He took my name and number on Wednesday but I have not heard from him. Today is Saturday!!!! this is the worst customer experience I have ever had!!!! No one at this store seems to care. So far I am on hold with customer service on hold over 16 minutes and counting. I have been coming to this Best Buy for about my entire life. I have never really had an issue and have always generally had my needs met. The store is always clean and organized and the staff is always helpful. I can say I have never found myself in the store for longer than 10minutes without being approached by staff to see if I needed any help. Over the past year I purchased a new tv, blu Ray with surround sound, speaker stands, some iphone accessories, and a tablet. The staff helped me with all of my purchases and answered all my questions. The store is always clean and so are the bathrooms. read more

So I dropped my phone on a Philly sidewalk on Friday night and decided that the time was finally ripe to protect the phone. I headed over to Best Buy the next morning to grab a case that I had researched online (Speck CandyShell). The stand was conveniently close to the door and I easily found the model/cover I wanted. The most basic model wasn't available, although all of the little hangers that were supposed to be for the base model were full, so I grabbed the next model up (it came with a faceplate, too) and walked like ten feet to the register. When I got there, the price reflected that I grabbed the base+ model, so we said something to the cashier, who checked the sticker on the shelf and realized Best Buy was wrong. After a fast talk with the manager, the price was adjusted and I immediately put the case on before walking out the door. Great customer service! I just called to ask whether a replacement television remote on their website would be compatible with my TV model. That information was not available on the website. I tried to contact the geek squad department first. After a long hold time, they directed me to another department that disconnected as soon as someone picked up. Then I called back and selected the sales department. 10 minutes on hold... Nothing. Call back again, selected sales department again, ... Nothing. Sales associates are great, BUT if their merchandise fails their warranty programs are terrible. DON'T fall for the extended warranties scam. Best Buy makes money on them, and repairs are difficult to get. Then, Best Buy can't help you! Warranty companies hire third party repair companies who cancel appointments, don't know what they are doing and do shoddy work.
