Service here is horrible. Ordered ahead for pick up and waited for the "ready to pick up" notification. Took over the alotted 1 hour, but that's okay. Finally got the "Ready for pick up" and made my way over. I arrived, checked in, and talked with an associate. It wasn't ready to pick up. They had to still pick the item. More time passes and the item finally makes it up to the counter. Then we waited....and waited... and waited. The original staff member was too busy to check us out and asked another staff member to do it. Then they never actually tell us it's ready. It's a heavy item and they don't load it or offer to load it. Clearly a two man lift item and they say I can take the dolly and don't come to help. Poor customer service. Not the way Best Buy used to be. read more

Staff are nice and friendly, but they did a terrible job of online order pick up. They took a long time to get the item from the back even though the app said the order was ready for pick up. They brought it out and wouldn't check us out to let us go. When another guy finally did scan or punch in whatever code they needed to in the back, they didn't even tell us it was done. We were just standing there. The lack of communication was ridiculous. Even when other staff asked us if we were being helped, they didn't help. read more

If you want to visit a store that has products on their shelves that they can't sell "yet", then check out this Best Buy! I looked at an item that was physically on display, & it was even recommended over another product by an employee. However, when I went to checkout, the cashier had an issue, had to called a manager over, who then told me that they couldn't sell it yet because it hadn't been "released" yet, but will be available in 2 days. When I asked why it was already on the shelves, and even recommended by an employee, they told me things "slip through" sometimes. They said there was nothing they would or could do, as they can't sell it yet. The manager told me to either order it or come back in 2 days. Ridiculous waste of time to drive to this store, only to be told I can't even buy an item that they had in stock on their shelves! read more

I ordered a washing machine pedestal online and had it shipped to the store in Brandon. I made the hour round trip drive to pick it up. The associate loaded the pedestal into the back of my vehicle. I drove home and went to remove it from the back of my truck and noticed it had another person's name listed as the "pick up person". I then looked further and saw it was a GE and not the LG that I ordered, and the order number did not match. They gave me someone else's order. I then called their store number and was routed to customer service in India, who was absolutely pathetic in the level of service provided. They could not confirm if my order was still in the store. They could not contact the store to ask. They could not ship the product I paid for a week ago to my house and pick up the incorrect one they gave me. They just advised I had X days to return the product and they recommend I drive back to the store to see if my order was still there. PATHETIC customer service. I will not be ordering from Best Buy again. read more

Went in here to buy a tv, and instead the meta guy talked me into getting these raybans. He was so nice and every question I asked he knew . I ended up buying them and I am very happy. He also guided me to the bathroom great customer service from meta best buy. read more

The service is abysmal. Every time I find myself stopping here, I am reminded how terrible it is. Last time I went, I was trying to take advantage of a sale on a ROG wall dock. Rather than trying to locate one, the girl's explanation was that someone must have bought the last one. She said she "saw someone over here looking for it earlier." No attempt to find one. (She was looking in the wrong place anyway ) In any case, save yourself the hassle and go to the one in S. Tampa or St. Pete. Way better experience. read more

I picked up two Logitech Master 3 mice that were placed together with a single price tag. There were no individual price tags on the items. However, when I got to the counter, I was charged a higher price than what was clearly posted on the shelf. The explanation I received was that the price difference was due to the color of the item, even though both were in the same slot. This doesn't make any sense as there was only one price listed for both items. Customer service was horrible and price discrepancy is still found on the shelves. read more

Set up appointment and prepaid for installation of a new aftermarket radio I purchased elsewhere and was told by rep that rung me up they could install radio and back up camera. Had to wait a week for the appointment and when I arrived at Best Buy (Brandon Location) I was told they "would not" install the radio and back up camera that I had prepaid $308.00 to have installed. I was told by female rep at Best Buy installation that they would not install due to some people complaining they had some issues that would not work after the installation. She really did not offer any solution and stated they could give me refund. After taking my money up front and informing me they could install the aftermarket stereo/radio this is unacceptable to me and I will not shop at Best Buy ever again . Very poor service to me!! Best Buy just wants to sell you one of their expensive radios. I would recommend not going to Best Buy for anything , much less for any installation. The unit I purchased for them to install was brand new and made and designed for my vehicle. read more

Pt .2 The store was quite disappointing. There was dust everywhere, and the TVs and monitors were covered in fingerprints and dirt. Some of the displays were even broken. In the computer section, a group of young employees was being loud and unprofessional, with one of them dropping to her knees and making inappropriate noises. Despite my spending some time looking at various items, none of the employees approached me to offer assistance. It seems that the younger employees at Best Buy are more interested in chatting with each other than helping customers. The woman who was behaving inappropriately was white, with dirty blonde or brown hair and clips in her hair. After that, I went to check out and was attended to by Rami, who was wearing a Geek Squad shirt. He was somewhat rude; when I placed my item on the counter, he remarked, "Oh, so you've got money." He criticized the store, calling it terrible and referring to it as the ghetto. He also said that if I walked out of the store with the item I intended to purchase, he wouldn't care. I was shocked by his comments and disgusted that he would joke about something like that. read more

Lol- no. We called ahead to see if we were able to get the unlocked IPhone Pro Max....no one answered. We looked online and it told us they have it in stock but only for Verizon, ATT, and Sprint but we needed an unlocked one but no one answered my call... for 48 minutes. We went to the store any way and stood in line. In line we realized we should asked about unlocked since we don't have one of the three services they advertised, instead we have TMobile. I asked a man and his supervisor. They said "oh yah you can get an unlocked phone! Especially bc TMobile and sprint are the same company now." We wait in line for approx. 48 minutes and when we get to the front, the register guy said "oh, we don't sell unlocked phones.." BUT THE *TWO* GUYS OVER IN THE APPLE PART SAID YOU DID?!?! I have always liked Best Buy, and have been to this location a few times, but not recently, as I also do a lot of online ordering, but this was a refreshing visit to the store. It was actually very nice to be able to talk to others about specific details on certain products and to see and touch those items in my hands. The several employees I talked with were all knowledgeable and helpful in their departments. I was there this visit with my brother getting him the galaxy S8+ phone, and their mobile phone team was able to activate it quickly while the Samsung rep transferred all his data via cable cord to his new phone. While there I was also researching the new Microsoft Surface Books, as I am not an Apple guy, haha. And Keith was very knowledgeable about Microsoft products. I was also able to tinker with other high tech gadgets such as the smart watches and 360 degree cameras and big screen TV's. This is a place where I could easily spend an exuberant amount of time and money on big boy toys, lol. read more

Best Buy no longer offers a company wide military discount, only at select locations. That's fine, no problem. So we attempt to call our local store, they said they don't offer it. Still, no problem. So we call Brandon to see if they offer it, and the response was "No, y'all aren't anything special here". I'm aware this may have been someone from a call center, but these people still represent your store/company. And this is how they speak to people? Do better. read more

Yet another instance of Best Buy false advertising. Purchased a laptop online. Get to this store and it was marked cheaper on the box because the power cord was missing. When I go to pay the register increases the price over what was listed on the product. The price that would INCLUDE the power cord. The manager even expressed frustration with the price being wrong and he was unable to change it. Offered to sell me a discounted power cord but wanted me to pay full price for the laptop. Went back on another day and the laptop is still marked up in price and still missing a power cord. This time the manager pretended that we did not have an entire episode and insisted that the price was correct. Last time he even gave me his card. I feel sorry for whoever overpaid for an open box HP Envy with missing power cord. Calling customer service after getting transferred around and put on hold forever. Was also worthless. Worst experience I've ever had. Wewnt in to doa return that was a gift, we requested the return on a giftcard. The cashier put it back to a credit card that wasn't ours. We purchased two TV, sound bar and a TV wall mount. Once our order was processed by the sales rep we were given an estimated delivery date of 3/23/2021 between 7am to 1pm. Well on 3/23 when 1pm came around and no delivery I called BestBuy in Brandon to find out this store is not accepting calls. Spoke to customer service and they can not find my order , agent said it was cancel on 3/16. So what did the customer service agent verified on 3/20. My usual reason for going to Best Buy is to get something computer related, software or hardware. Since the close of Tiger and Circuit City, there really aren't many other options in the Brandon area, so I end up ordering a lot of components (I build gaming computers for folks sometimes) from Amazon, Newegg, CDW, B&H, or Tigerdirect. (Here's a hint. If you are in the market for an expensive Nvidia G-Synch graphics card, buy it directly from Nvidia. The other outlets tack on a couple extra hundreds of dollars). The Brandon Best Buy is often very crowded, and after you navigate the traffic in the Regency Mall, then you have to deal with the Best Buy parking lot. Not too bad off hours, but weekends and early evenings can be a real pain. The store itself is laid out a bit weird. Maybe it's just me, but I have trouble finding where the section is for things that I want. If it's something I need then and can't wait for next day or two day delivery, there aren't really any other options. If you are buying some software or a peripheral (like a printer) you can sometimes get a reasonable price at Office Depot, and Best Buy will usually match prices if you can show them an ad or even just a website printout from even Amazon. I've learned to be careful in checking the return policy here, as you can get stuck with a restocking fee for some returns. Also, be careful with the extended warranty that they try to sell you at the register. If you are buying an expensive laptop, it is probably worth it, but for most other products it's not. I've rambled and gone off on tangents here, but the bottom line is that I only go to Best Buy if it is something I have to have right then and there. Probably 80% of my technology purchases are using my Amazon Prime membership, computer components being the exception as I mentioned in the first paragraph. Personnel here are generally friendly, though often clueless about the products they sell. read more

I actually have good things to say about this location. It is EXTREMELY busy first of all so prepare to have to wait Alittle. Have patience, It's the only Best Buy in a very highly populated city. I feel the associates and managers do a good job of trying to handle everyone and their demands, they definitely have their hands full. I purchased a defective TV a few months ago and didn't take out the protection plan when I got it (that was a mistake), even thought I didn't do that the manager MATT still made an exception and took the TV back (Even after the return window) &gave me a store credit. I ended up spending an extra 300$ than I originally spent, Left with a bigger better brand TV And most important part of all I left A HAPPY CUSTOMER! Matt provided exceptional customer service. I actually took a picture of a laptop while I was in there too and plan on going back this week to buy that. Will continue to shop at this location as long as this doesn't change :) thank you again MATT! read more

I ordered $2,500 worth of computer and software components for in store pick up on Veterans Day, as my father served in 2 wars and wanted to get him something special. 4.5 hours into my 1 hour pick up window l, was called up to retrieve my computer and was informed that someone else had picked it up in my place. I requested a full refund, I was told an investigation had to be conducted before this could occur. This investigation could go on for a few days to a few weeks. This forced me to call my credit card company and cancel my card as I had no idea how much of my personal information had been compromised. I then called corporate who told me they could not even contact the store directy. Long story short, this is why these big box stores are going away. Lesson learned, I will never use Best Buy again as they are obviously on the verge of chapter 11 and will go away in the next couple of years and that Amazon is the replacement for this type of service. Probably worker fraud based on the pick up name has to be verified, which was obviously circumvented by a register worker. read more

On 4/15/20, I went to Best Buy Brandon Florida to pick up an order that I placed the night before. Due to COVID-19 Best Buy is serving customers by having them park in designated areas of the parking lot where the employees will come out to your car to assist you. The Best Buy aforementioned closes at 6:00pm. I arrived at 5:40pm. When I did I followed the instructions on where to park. After parking I logged into my Best Buy account. I selected the option to let the store know I was in the parking lot to pick up my order. I also let the store know of the details of what vehicle I was in and where I was parked. I then received a confirmation code with information to provide the Best Buy rep when they get to my car. After waiting in my car in the parking lot for close to 15 minutes I observed approximately 4 people who had been waiting to be assisted longer then me got out of their cars and gathered at the front door that was now locked. At this point the store should still be open due to the time being 5:52pm. These people where trying to get the attention of store employees. I then tried calling into the store and at that point the phone just kept ringing with no one answering. Right at 6:00pm, I then observed the Sheriff's Dept. arriving to first meet with someone inside Best Buy. The officer then came out and said the store decided to close early. I'm going to make mention to the fact that after checking in, Best Buy has my phone number and e-mail address. NO ONE from Best Buy ever reached out to me to let me know they were closed early or to apologize or explain any situation going on. Evidently, Best Buy employees the most moronic, non-customer service minded people known to mankind. And I'm being extremely nice with saying that. The real words I want to use will not be allowed on this site! I will also say whoever is in charge of this store should be and hopefully will be fired along with whoever made the decision to close early. From now on I will no longer do business with Best Buy. I will instead do business with Amazon and Wal-mart just to name a couple. To make matters worse. When I got home I called Best Buy's customer service/complaint phone number to file a complaint against Best Buy in Brandon Florida and to have my order overnighted to me. The phone call was made at 6:34pm. After about a 35 minute wait I was greeted by a Best Buy customer service rep who did tell me his name at the beginning of the conversation. After I told him of the situation mentioned above I asked him for his name again because I didn't hear what he originally said. He then brashly told me, "I SAID, my name is Freddie!" He then put me on a 5-10 minute hold while he looked into my order then came back on the line to tell me he can have my order shipped to me by the 4/21. I then told, "Freddie," no, given the situation I want the order overnighted to me. Freddie then actually started yelling at me stating, "I CAN'T DO THAT! IT'S NOT AVAILABLE!" I then asked to speak to a supervisor. At that point, "Freddie," told me in a nasty manner, "I can send your information to a supervisor who can call you back." I then told him, "I said I want to SPEAK to a supervisor!" Freddie then started yelling at me again saying, "HOW CAN I TRANSFER YOU TO A SUPERVISOR IF ONE IS NOT HERE!" I then said to him, "You never told me one is not available!" After a few choice words for him I hung up the phone. read more

I wanted to get this as far as I could. I purchased a refrigerator from Brandon Best Buy last weekend. They confirmed it worked perfectly and I even purchased the extended warranty. They delivered it a few days later but not without damaging my walls and it was plugged in. I am aware that it takes 24-48 hours for it to reach the correct temperatures but it has been 4 days now and it's clearly defective. I called them and after the little girl said she would call me back, I had to call her back because it had been 2 hours already. She laughed and said the techs put her on hold. For 2 hours? Anyway, it is now Saturday and even though a tech was scheduled to come out today, I got a phone call saying he was sick and it will need to be rescheduled. My food has good bad now and even the store manager didn't care to do anything. This isn't the first problem I have had with Brandon Best Buy but I assure you it is the last. $2,000 later I have no fridge, damaged walls and spoiled food and they couldn't care less. I like Best Buy. I think they have a good inventory of quality products. The prices are a little high on some things, but occasionally, they have super good deals. I would recommend comparing prices online with your phone before purchasing. They do have a price match guarantee, where they match the product prices of "key online" and local competitors. What does that mean? There's a lengthy explanation on their website. The customer service seems a little unmotivated in my few trips to this location. That definitely brings them down a star. Most Best Buy stores I've been to have excellent customer service. I'm not sure what the problem is here. No matter, in six to twelve months, there will be a whole store full of bright, new faces. If the customer service still stinks, there must be a management problem. read more

I came here looking for a new laptop. My old laptop had some issues with the screen and I had a few days to research what I wanted online. I found a model that had all of my needs and more and was advertised for a great price at Best Buy. I contemplated ordering online and getting it shipped to my house for free, but decided I'd just go in and get it in person so I didn't have to wait. I went in on a Friday evening around 630pm and when I got to the computer area there were probably four employees working the area conversing with each other. I was one of two customers in that section and not once did anyone ask if I needed any help or assistance. They just continued to keep talking amongst themselves. I walked around and found the model I wanted and started playing around with the laptop I was going to purchase. I waited no less than 15 minutes before I became impatient and asked another young lady who came into that department if she would mind assisting me as it seemed no one in that department was interested in helping. She gladly did and answered all of the questions I had about the model I ended up purchasing. If it had not been for her, I was ready to leave without giving this place a dime and taking my business elsewhere. It is painstakingly obvious why Best Buy is struggling against its competitors if that is the type of customer service they offer. read more

Changing my review to one star because Best Buy does not honor the product that they sell. Do not buy the extended warranty on any product. The cashier knows all the key phrases to convince you to buy but if you have to actually use it someday....forget it.
