Came into Costco this past weekend and as a frequent shopper, I should know better than to go shopping on a Saturday afternoon. It was extremely packed. We fought through the aisles to get what we needed and of course got a couples samples on the way. They have a really good selection of clothing for the entire family even had bathing suits out for summer. Checking out was pretty chaotic for some reason their Apple Pay wasn't working, but luckily we brought our cards. We did also get some pizza from the café. The gentleman working informed us that the pepperoni pizza was gonna be another seven minutes if we just wanted cheese, which I happily accepted because we already had been in there for so long. Thanks to T-Mobile Tuesdays, they had a great membership deal, so we got a Costco membership (again, after 5 years of not having one. Sam's Club is just closer to our house) Great and friendly staff who helped us take our photos for our Costco membership card. We do appreciate the different selections of items compared to Sam's Club or BJ's Warehouse. The prices between Costco and other places are so different as well. Items I'm used to getting at Sam's Club was a few dollars more at Costco. We were told that a Costco is being built near Big Bend and I'm excited since it'll be closer to us. We enjoy Costco's food court more than anything. I have definitely missed their chicken bake. I do enjoy their freshly baked chocolate chip cookie, I mean WOW.. delicious and highly recommend it. It is a bit pricey for a cookie $2.49, however in my opinion it's worth every penny!! read more

It seems as though I go to Costco in every state I go to lol. This one had the rudest employees I've ever encountered. No one was friendly. Everyone seemed to hate their job and I don't understand why. Even the sample lady was rude. I'll give it two stars because it's Costco and it's consistent. I go for what I need and I leave. I love Costco and this is a location I typically frequent. I have always gotten the typical Costco experience while coming here and love the products offered. The only downside to this location for me is you aren't able to call in pizza orders ahead of time. This is advertised in the store and also online with a number, but no one ever answers.. it will just ring forever. I try every visit to call in an order ahead to avoid a long food court wait, but I have never been able. Other than that I still enjoy coming for my big grocery hauls. read more

Love Costco! I have had a membership since college. They have great prices, and great quality products. Costco has helped me survive in expensive Hawaii and the Hawaii In Brandon is helping me survive inflation. It's always clean. The staff is always professional and kind. My godsons love the shop upfront where you can buy pizza, snacks, hot dogs, etc. They think it's a restaurant. Lol I have gotten some great deals in Costco and can't say enough good things about it. Tire service is a joke. Appointment for 7 pm and arrived 10 minutes early. That means car best be up in bay by 7pm. Walked out 40 minutes later after eating and shopping to car still parked in tire waiting lot. Didn't get my car up in that bay until after 8pm!!! Then it took them 45 minutes to complete, getting me out of there damn near 9pm! 2 hours to complete a 7 o clock tire change is insane and incompetent. NOT TO MENTION!! First time going there and I really like it. I went for the roasted chicken and the ribs, but I found decent deals among different products. The roasted chicken is very good! I'll say that the price is not cheap, but I think that the quality is good to justify the price. We bought the Irobot vacuum from Costco about two years ago. Due to our busy daily scheduled, we opened up the box but did not set it up. When we finally decided to set it up. An error came up stating that the battery was not charging. We went crazy tried to fix it. We replaced the electric cable, the tried to level the vacuum to get it to charge but nothing seemed to work. The last option was to bring it back to Costco and ask for help. We came to the return counter and explained the issue. We explained the issues to the representative. He politely asked for our membership card then proceeded to refund us the money. I told him that i don't have the box for it. He said "it's ok", he refunded the full amount back on our card, just like that. We were pleasantly surprised with the result. The incident elevated our confidence with shopping from Costco. Not only the price is good but the service is equally great as well. read more

Love hate relationship with this place. Great products, good prices, management seems in control. The crowds are getting too big. The check out lane goes ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK of the store, where the meat section is! NO EXAGGERATION. Yes, it moves, but this is ridiculous. They need to build another Costco in Naples! I have been a Sam's Club member for years and after hearing so many good things about Costco, we decided to get a membership. The parking lot here is crazy. I didn't see any stalls for carts, so people leave their carts everywhere. We did sit in line for gas, because it's cheaper, but it took forever. Once in the store, it's set up like a typical warehouse store. They sell everything from soup to nuts. I imagine once you learn the layout of the store it will be easier to find things, but I found it fairly overwhelming. At 11 am, the store was packed and the lines were long. You need to leave yourself time here so that you can go up and down each aisle and find what you need or want. read more

My biggest complaint about this location is that they never have rotisserie chicken in stock when I go. What was the point of being a member when they don't stock the main reason people subscribe to Costco? Then they closed it for months to renovate? Sorry membership should be free if you're not going to provide basic amentities to members. It's also a nightmare to check out of. They really need Sam's Club's scan and go feature. Costco has many organic and high quality items including Prime beef which is nearly impossible to find. They are stocking A2 milk products and Grassfed too now! I became a Costco member in October of 2020. This is either a good thing or a bad thing as I think I've been absorbed into the Costco cult at this point about 4 months later. I absolutely love this place, the product chooses, prices, variety and experience are all fantastic. I go about once every two weeks. I get gas because it's about 10-20% less expensive than the gas station in my prior rotation, I get a $5 rotisserie chicken because this is a no brainer, and all of the other delicious and fun things that Costco has to offer that week. I live in a small place but the large it's fit and cause me to buy certain items less often at a lower price. I recommend arriving early because this location gets busy. We switch from Sam's to Costco and now we're thinking of switching back. The fact that Sam's labels are hallways and their coolers it makes it faster to shop. Costco doesn't do that and then to add to the fact that they only take Visa or a Costco card really limits your purchasing power. They have decent prices. This store is full of customers, I get that. The employees on the cash registers are wonderful, and helpful. Never had a bad cashier. The other employees run around at WARP speed, nearly ran into me on my visit last Monday. Why?! I know how to walk fast! Every ER Nurse can move like her pants are on fire. Social distancing disappointment. I love all the stuff about wearing masks cleaning carts and all the way into the store but the lines were backed up almost 15 deep at the cash register's and then when we went to leave the lines to get out the door were at least 30 deep in front and behind me. So way to go on social distancing Costco! I took my RAV4 in (Feb, 2025) for a nail in a tire. I had a lug-nut X tool in the passenger seat and advised them that it was there and that it was mine; one technician said that it's fine since they don't even have any lug-nut tools in the shop other than impact wrenches. Long story made short: the job technician used an impact wrench on a tire that was not supposed to be worked on (right front) and fractured the locking lug nut. They sent me to the Toyota dealer where I had to pay $135 to get the fractured nut removed. A few days later, I spoke to a mechanic friend who was surprised, saying "Impact wrenches shouldn't even be used on locking lug nuts because they can't take the sudden high force of an impact wrench". My advice to all customers: If your car uses locking lug nuts, don't use this Costco for any tire work. Knowing what I now know, the tire shop should have known about the limitations of locking lug nuts, admitted to the error, and paid for my dealer correction of their mistake. They should always use a manual wrench for the lock types. Otherwise, the shop is fine, the techs are friendly, and other aspects (hazard warranty, etc) are good. I'll use them again but either remove any locking lugs myself ahead of time or swap the locks for normal lugs. read more

UNLEASH THE DOGS We were driving on a road trip heading south and we had only 180 miles left until we reached our final destination. Nothing sounded good to us to eat plus we just wanted to get to the beach and not sit down for an hour lunch at a restaurant. We saw the Costco on the map 20 minutes down the road and we decided it was the choice for us. When we arrived we got a chicken Caesar salad and two hot dogs. It was perfect for us and it hit the spot plus the meal was under $10 for everything. It was so nice to not spend $30 for some deep fried crap on the road. This Costco was easy to get in to and the service at the food counter was very fast. It's Costco and I wouldn't expect anything less. We decided to do a lap around the store to work out the legs after sitting in the car for several hours. I secretly wanted to see the snacks and I must admit they were really bad. The lobster ravioli was so fishy I wanted to throw it back into the sea. They also had a chicken and cheese burrito which wasn't bad and some smart pop. Honestly Chicago Costco's put these snacks to shame. You can literally choose from 10 to 15 different samples. I like to call this the $500 Chicago lunch because by the time you leave Costco there's $500 worth of stuff in your cart. I'm glad we were able to utilize our membership to grab some quick food. Costco provides some of the best value for your dollar.. You will pay less for most items. They are very competitive with other " big box" retailers. The worst that can happen would be paying the same price for an item during a big sale at a supermarket. This location in Brandon is always well stocked and has helpful staff. There have a pharmacy, gas station, eye doctor, tire service, and photo center. The store aisles, checkout lines, and gas station do not usually have ling lines. Parking has never been a problem, except just before a holiday. They are open 7 days a week. The gas prices are always 10 cents or more lower than local gas stations. read more

It is also a good place to get large jugs of food items such as peanut butter if you plan on feeding a lot of people. They also sell all types of other items at normally their daily low discounted nearly wholesale prices. A hidden gem at Costco is their pharmacy, where you can get a huge discount on medicine and a the best deal each year on a Flu Shot. Last year it was $14.99 for the flu shot, this year is was $19.99, and all the other pharmacies I called were about $29-$49. You do not need a membership to use their pharmacy. read more

My brother in law was recently injured and he couldn't leave the house, so he was looking for a particular item that was a Costco exclusive. We made our way to the membership desk, a line 10 deep. We began to fill out our paperwork, and when we finally made it to the desk, we asked if the item was in stock. Recommend. The products available are quite good, particularly for the Kirkland-brand items. Very good meats and vegetables, also many frozen veggies. The hearing aids are rated best by CR. Downsides include: it's 36 miles away, the store only opens at 10 a.m., there's no self checkout available, and it closes at 8:30 p.m. on a regular day, (like Publix, 30 years ago), & it's closed holidays, like today, when I could come over & get my hearing aid replaced because my puppy ate it. read more

I have been a member of two other warehouse clubs and Costco is so much better it's not even funny. Costco has their own in-house brand called Kirkland that covers a wide variety of items. It's high quality at a low price. My favorite thing to buy at Trader Joe's used to be the dark chocolate covered almonds with sea salt and turbinado sugar. The Kirkland version doesn't taste quite as good as TJ's, but that's because the Kirkland's version has half the sodium. Plus I can get at least three times as much for my money. I bought the Kirkland version of some vitamins. The ingredients were exactly the same as my old brand and I got double the amount for what I normally pay. When you're walking around on the weekends there are stations everywhere for sampling food. I recently sampled minestrone soup, chicken quesadillas, and mozzarella sticks with marinara. The prepared foods that they make on location are delicious. So far I've tried the apple pie, chicken pot pie, and chocolate cake (all of which were huge). We loved all of them! Plus you can get a rotisserie chicken for $5. If you're hungry from shopping the food court sells food for laughably low prices. $1.50 for a quarter pound hot dog and a 20 oz soda (with free refill)? Is this a joke? $1 for a giant churro. $1.45 for a berry smoothie. The pizza is way better than other chain pizza such as Papa John's. A huge slice will only set you back $2 or you can get an 18 inch pie for $10. For TV's and computers you only have 90 days to return them, but the upside is that you get access to Costco technical support. You can call someone (in the USA) for assistance. Costco also extends the manufacturer's warranty by a significant amount. For most other items the return policy is beyond generous. I asked the cashier how long I had to return a pair of cargo shorts. She said they like you to return things within two years. I think I can handle that. When it's time to leave each cash register has TWO employees working at it, which speeds up the entire process significantly. The only time I've had an annoyingly long wait was with other customers who were having issues with their credit cards. That's not the fault of Costco though. The gas prices are great. In fact I recently read that gasbuddy.com named Costco the best value for gas for the third year in a row. There are also other services such as a pharmacy, travel agency, car buying assistance, etc. I don't see myself ever leaving Costco. read more

These guys are awesome!! I was leaving work and notice my tired pressure was super low!! Got out and saw a nail in my rear tire! I was freaking out because I'm new to Tampa and every other place was closed. I was going home to pack and head out to drive to Atlanta when I noticed that they were still open!!! Thank God and thanks Costco! The guys were funny, friendly, amazing and very professional and told me to still come in to get the fix even though they closed in 25 min!!! Exceptional and I'll never leave Costco's side because of Lee and my good bearded buddy over at Costco's Tire Service Center on the 10921 Causeway in Brandon!!!!! Give them some raises! read more
