The employees here are always really nice and helpful, even when they don't have the products I need. Most recently I was looking for a socket wrench extender and they didn't have it. They told me to go to a store across the street and sure enough the other store had it. I appreciate the helpfulness and honesty. I did try to return a Yeti purchase I bought online one time and they do not accept Yeti returns. To be fair they had signs all over the store saying so and they were nice when they told me. I just couldn't have known since I bought it online. Not sure why but it seems like most stores don't usually accept those returns. read more

Return policy. I bought a product on the Bloomingdale ave store then tried to return item to the Seffner store with receipt. They said you didn't buy it at this store and needed to take it back to Bloomingdale. Also the online store showed the product was available at the Seffner store 2 on hand and I was told they don't even sale the product. read more

I love our neighborhood Ace Hardware. I was happy when this opened store. Not once have I had a bad experience here. The staff has ALWAYS been super nice and very helpful. While remodeling our home, we required many trips to the hardware store. Going to Ace made those trips more bearable because I knew the staff was going to be friendly while ensuring I got what I needed. I bought a house recently and I can honestly say, I'm not the most handy guy out there. I can do enough to get by but YouTube videos can only do so much. I recently went to Home Depot to buy a new kitchen faucet. I picked one out and was pretty sure I didn't need anything extra, but I wanted to double check with one of their employees. I talked with the head of their plumbing department and all he said was I needed to read the box. I said I did but I wanted to double check with someone who probably knows better than me. He grabbed the facet out of my hands and slammed the box against his face and said you need to read it. By contrast, I went to this ace and was not only greeted by someone in a friendly manner, but they actually walked me through the part of the instillation that I wasn't quite sure how to handle. They were very helpful and I highly recommend going here for all your household needs. read more

Little old man that works there is ALWAYS helpful but just had an experience with a not helpful, individual with an attitude like we interrupted his crap talking, act like we were crazy about asking for blinds. i can't believe how rude these people are!! my husband came in here looking for very specific screws and when they showed him what they had and he didn't thing they would work, my husband said that's alright and said he was going to walk around. the guy that tried to help walked off and started to talk bad to his other buddies. no where in that interaction was my husband rude or being sarcastic. he thanked the guy for his help and walked away, and the guy proceeded to be a jerk and talk rudely. this place has absolute horrible customer service!! read more

I brought a piece of the cage that I needed to assemble into the Ace Hardware, and a nice man helped me figure out what size screws I would need to complete my project. He was polite and helpful. I love this Ace Hardware store! I've lived in the area about three years now. Every time I've gone in here I've been greeted and taken to whichever aisle the item I'm looking for is located. Honesty is the best policy, and these employees will do their VERY BEST to find what you need. If they are unable to find whatever that may be, there's no hesitation to ask another employee for a second opinion. If all else fails, they give a suggesion as to where else you might can find the item. If course that's never guaranteed, but it's absolutely appreciated! Love this place! read more

Walked in to our local Ace Hardware store where we have been shopping for years. Due to back issues I carry a backpack purse. I am a 63 year old, gray haired woman. They asked me to leave my purse, with my credit cards, driver's license, cash, etc.. at the front counter while I shopped! No! Do you think I am crazy? I will never shop there again!! If you need screens built or repaired. this is the place to go. I think it may become a lost art so support this business! I ordered 16 screens (very large screens) and they were ready in under a week. He also used a few damaged screens I brought and was able to rebuild two out parts to save me some cash. This is an older Ace but well maintained and the staff is incredible! Carolynn, the cashier, always has a smile on her face and knows where everything is. This store has pretty much everything you could need without going to one of the big box stores. It's also more convenient, location wise. I've got better service at this Ace than I have at the big box stores. Staff is so friendly and always willing to help with carryout and loading of heavy items. Prices are great! read more

Staff is decent the women are nice, the older men all though somewhat knowledgeable can be pretty rude as they swear out of context. On this visit I found myself standing around waiting for an employee to stop texting before being assisted and when finally helped it took three employees a "look" at the part I needed before the fourth knew what I was talking about. After getting the answer to my question the knowledgeable employee said I had to buy a whole kit to get the one piece I needed. (Which was bs bc Home Depot had that same piece separate from the kit). If you know what you're looking for or find someone who knows exactly what you need on the spot you'll get good service here, other wise I advise you walk away unless you want to feel like a bother. All in all I'll give these guys the benefit of the doubt though and say they had a rough night last night and it reflected in their character today. Also take what I say with a grain of salt bc everyone's experience will vary I'm not sure if my age made these guys believe they can act in an unprofessional manner but they sure did put on a show. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Ace Hardware. The customer service is what puts them in a class by themselves. Anytime you walk in, someone is there to greet you and wants to help. They are well versed in figuring out what I mean when I reference items as "things" & "doo-hickeys" with any accompanying attempt to make shapes or outline gestures with my hands. Not only do they take you to the item, but they talk with you to make sure that you have all the items you will need. They also can help explain how to get the job done. I prefer the personal service over going into a HUGE store and having to hunt someone down. Also, each are a franchise, if you like to support local businesses. My most recent visit was actually due to the HUGE store not having what I needed and pointed me to Ace. read more

My husband and I had one of the worst shopping experiences at this store. It was actually so negative that we have selected to never shop at an Ace to True Value again. The staff at this location are extremely rude. We live less than 3 miles from this store and own several rental units. We were shopping at this Ace store and had several items selected for purchase when one of the store employees stopped us and told us that we needed to leave because they were closing in 5 minutes. Granted we didn't know it was so close to closing, but the gentleman saw that we had several items selected and rather than advise us that the store would be closing shortly, he railroaded out of the store 5 minutes before closing. Needless to say we were not encouraged to purchase anything and left empty handed. We made our purchases at Lowes, where we received much better customer service. This Ace location is the place for the UNhelpful hardware folks. read more
