I put in a request 2 weeks in advance for this company to come out and look at my washmachine, the day that they were supposed to come out they texted me saying it was cancled saying they didn't service this machine. Very confused why I had to wait two weeks for them to tell me that when I gave the model and serial number when setting up the appointment so I called to ask why, letting the guy know I've been waiting two weeks without a washer. would give less than 1 star if I could, the guy was not very nice on the phone when I 1st called to make appointment, charged me $225 to change out a part, gave me a 90 day warranty on part, it lasted less than a week. When I called to tell him that, again he was nasty on the phone, he said he would have to change out a different part and charge me and additional $200 stating that the original part he changed could not possibly be bad, must be something else. Had trouble with our refrigerator water dispenser and called Jon, aka the Appliance Geek. He responded quickly and came to check the problem. After a thorough analysis, he determined that the housing and connection of the water filter was the culprit. When he calculated an estimate to repair the damage, to our surprise, he gave us a choice of $300.00 + replacement....OR, get a $39.00 inline water filter from Home depot, and install it yourself, which also meant a 5year filter vs a 6 month filter (at $73.00) WOW !!! My dryer wasn't heating and I needed someone quick to fix it. I called and was able to get this company to come out same day! The rep was very courteous and quick to respond and kept his word as to when he would show up. I'm not familiar with the cost of dryer repair and expected to pay around $100... but not $185! The thermostat part that was needed usually cost $30-$40, so the diagnosis and repair took around 30 minutes and that basically cost $145. I can't say enough about this company. They saved us well over $2000!! We had 3 different companies come out to service our fridge because of a strange notice it was making. The first company actually came out twice and the tech was clueless. The second company told us it had a Freon leak and was unrepairable. Then Jon came to the rescue. We called for our broken dryer and John was able to come out to our home within 24 hours. He wore gloves and a mask. Unfortunately, he discovered our dryer is not repairable. He only charged the assessment fee, was kind and gave us sound advice for a future appliance. He left the space just as he found it and it was clean and tidy. Repairman came to service our wine cooler. The next day we discovered it was still not cooling. We called again and he came and said it had a leak and claimed to repair it. He said he would return to fill it with Freon. Each time we called (5 times) LINDA set an appointment, we waited and the repairman never showed. After today's NO SHOW we called, NO ANSWER and there was no way to leave a message (mailbox not set up). Unfortunately, we paid $287.83 by check, it was cashed, and still do not have a working wine cooler. I'm hesitant to call this a scam, but it's looking like it is. read more

We recently had issues with our LG refrigerator, ice in freezer, ice cubes shooting out of the door at weird times.... so we called Jon to come take a look. He came out the next day. At first he couldnt find anything wrong, just thought the freezer door was left a bit open and the warm air caused the icing. I kept talking about the ice maker, something was wrong with it. He finally stuck his hand up the hole where the ice comes out and noticed the flap would not close. Not only was this responsible for the suicidal ice cubes, but it was allowing warm air into the unit and causing the icing in the freezer. Long story short, Jon ordered the parts we needed and we were given a quote of nearly $500 to do the repairs. He was back a week later with the parts. Upon opening the box, the company sent the wrong color, white instead of stainless. As Jon looked at the parts hanging from the ice maker he saw all he needed to do was replace a motor and not the whole unit as he was led to believe by who he orders from. Fridge works great, no more flying cubes or ice in the freezer.....AND he was going to return the part that wasn't needed. This saved us almost $200. It is so refreshing to find someone honest to do work for you. He could have changed out the whole unit, we wouldn't know, but he seemed genuinely happy he could save us money. I will definitely call him for any appliance repairs I may need in the future. FYI: Stay away from LG appliances, they suck. we've had issues with all of them except for the microwave. Definitely DO NOT recommend them. read more

Very Unprofessional. Appliance Geek was chosen by Frigidaire to repair my refrigerator that was under a year old. After performing a visit to diagnose the issue Jon said he does not stock parts and it would take a week to obtain the repair part. FYI, they do not source parts directly from the manufacture which should be a RED FLAG for anyone considering their service. After waiting a week for Jon to obtain a compressor (major part on any refrigerator) the refrigerator has stopped blowing cold again. He would not tell me how long they back-up their work for and told me to look at the contract. Well.....Jon did not leave me a contract and when I told him this he said, "You didn't ask for one".
