My parents' dryer stopped working this past Saturday. Not being a Je-dry master myself, I decided to look on yelp for help. DiChristopher Appliance Repair was highly rated. When I called, they were courteous and were able to schedule an appointment for Wednesday morning 9 - 10 am. They called to confirm on Tuesday and texted. Anthony, the technician, came around 9:30. He diagnosed the problem (Some sort of wiring needed replacement.) and fixed it in less than 20 minutes. The fee was $158. Overall ,it was a very pleasant experience to use DiChristopher and I would strongly recommend using them for further appliance repair. read more

Honest and reasonable appliance repair. This review is for evaluation and repair of my LG front-loading washing machine. I found the company on Angie's List and then cross-referenced to Yelp. I submitted a service request, and they responded quickly and were able to schedule a visit that morning. My washing machine had been leaking. We knew it wasn't from one of the external hoses, so we called in an expert to open up the machine (we were out of warranty). He identified the problem quickly. Apparently ours was the first time he had ever seen this specific part leak, but thankfully, the company had the replacement part in stock. He said he'd back later that week to finish the job and said that I could pay for everything when the repair was completed. The price cited was lower than I had expected, so I was very pleased. I needed a repair on my refrigerator and reached out to Roman one evening. He texted me back within minutes and we set up a time for him to come the next day. It's not the first time that I had a repairperson come and an item didn't malfunction. Well he didn't find anything wrong and asked me what I wanted him to do. Because the service was quick, honest and affordable. --- --- --- Our dryer was going a bit haywire on us - the display was intermittently flashing on us and then it would just turn off on its own. We were worried that it could be something serious, so I turned to Yelp to find an appliance repair company and these guys had the best reviews by far. I scheduled an appointment for a few days later and the experience was about as ideal as it could be for the end result being that we were about to have to spend a lot of money. He noted to us that the part to repair our issue would cost us $363. I said that for that price, I might as well buy a new dryer and he agreed. Not that I would have gone for it, but I appreciated that he didn't try to persuade me into buying the part, which obviously would have made the company more money. He also recommended that I get our dryer vent cleaned out because it was long overdue. He provided the name of a company that he knew, and they turned out great, as well. I'll definitely call these guys again next time I have an issue, but I hope it's not for a while! read more

This company is exactly what I thought it'd be. Family owned family operated. After reading all the great reviews I figured they'd be my best shot at getting our dryer fixed correctly. I made my appointment with Mrs. DiChristopher, she advised me that her son, Anthony, would be showing up and sure enough right on time he arrived and did a great job explaining what was wrong, what parts they use (non of that after market stuff) and what I could do to prevent it from happening again. The cost was probably more than I would have paid somewhere else (like the last company that fixed my dryer) but you get what you pay for. I'd recommend them to anyone and plan on having them come switch out my garbage disposal in the next few weeks. Great job guys, that includes you too Mrs. DiChristopher. read more

Based on Yelp reviews, with specifically Brett's review, I contacted this appliance company on January 17 because my ice maker was making ice but not dispensing the ice. I real person answered and They made my appointment for January 21. I was told I would be contacted early am to be advised of the time. They called on the 21st and I was given an appt time between noon - 2pm. At about 12:15 I was called and advised by the tech that he would be at my residence in 30 minutes. He arrived as promised. The trip charge was $78 which included the diagnosis and if I decided to proceed with a repair it would be applied. The tech, Don, who in my opinion was very professional, courteous and knowledgable advised that he would try and repair the auger with a new drive coupler and the price would be $118. If that didn't work I would need a new auger motor. He was able to repair with the new drive coupler. What a relief! Oh I forgot to mention we don't wear outside shoes in our home, so I provided Don with booties. He had no problem with this. On 2 ocasiones he had to go outside and get something from his truck. Both times he took off his booties to walk outside. How considerate. This company has fantastic customer service, integrity and professsionalism. Highly recommend! read more

(I contacted them through Yelp!, but not directly from their page, so I didn't see the discount.) I rarely take the time to do this, but really aggravated by this company. I cannot attest to their craftsmanship. I had a scheduled service appointment, and had to take the day off from work to be available for the 4 hour window, our washer was broken. Get a call 2 hours before delivery stating "we need to reschedule as there will be too much traffic near your home". Granted this was during lightning parade, but careful planning, as an aside they had 4 days to realize this, would have resulted in perhaps picking a different route to the house. In addition, had other contractors at the house that day without a problem. My guess...was too much of a hassle for the 75$ fee they charge. They seem to have good reviews, my experience suggests otherwise. Very unprofessional. read more

I called yesterday because our dryer was making an awful sound. The lady on the phone was quite nice and courteous. We were told their Technician would call us to let us know the time. He called us early in the morning and told us he would be over between 9 and 10 am today. The technician, (I'm so sorry I forgot to ask his name but I know he's the owner's son), arrived promptly between the scheduled time, and was very courteous. I called the week before Thanksgiving. I know they and other folks were super busy, and they set up an appointment for this up-and-coming Monday. I asked if they could let me know if there any cancellations. The following day, first thing in the morning, the owner called me himself with an opportunity to come in and take a look at the stove. He identified the problem quickly, Actually had the part in his van, and fixed the stove right there on the spot. I found this company to be very honest, very transparent about their prices, and I feel that they really looked out for my best interest and assessing and fixing the problem. The price for the part and the price for the installation and service were all very reasonable. In fact, some of the so-called do-it-yourself options in Tampa are only a few bucks cheaper.
