I had a new A/C unit installed in my rental property in Valrico. First response was the company that sounded and acted the most believable and authentic Fast forward one year. I have new tenants moving in. There was an issue with the unit. One call to Matt Roberts. They same gentlemen that sold me the unit. He reassured me we had full protection and that he would get out there ASAP. The next call I got was from the renters. Mind you, it was now 9:45 pm. They called to tell me Matt was on his way to evaluate the problem. I has ecstatic to find out Matt was in his way. Granted it was an easy fix. I called Saturday night for a plugged drain that was leaking water into our garage. Matt walked me through how to unplug the drain, told me to call him back if it didn't work (it didn't) and he would be able to get someone out on Sunday or Monday if it could wait. I sent an email Sunday afternoon and we were scheduled for the next morning. He was here a short time, unplugged the drain, told us how to help maintain it and talked about what a new system would need and other things to be aware of. We have a home warranty company (AHS) and I would gladly pay to have First Response come out instead. Knowledgeable, friendly and willing to answer tons of questions. i called this company on a Saturday for an emergency I had in Riverview. I am a PM and my tenant was having an issue with the AC. Matt answered right away and he advised me that he would have someone out between 5-9PM. At 5PM they were at the tenant's property. They communicated the issue with me, they resolved the issue and even made some recommendations. They charged me $159 fee + the draining/cleaning out of the lines. He quoted me $75 a lb for the Freon which is really high so we are holding off on that until Monday. He is stating they have a special on YELP but I wasn't offered that special. I was charged the full $159 + the $198 fee for the draining of the lines. read more

We received excellent service from First Response. The owner answered our call on a Friday night at 6:30pm, and saved us from poor service from our previous AC Repair Company. We walked him through our experience and what the previous tech thought was the issue, but couldn't fix and actually made worse. They came out ASAP and fixed it. They charged a fair price for the work needed to be done. It's nice to have a company work with you in an emergency and understand the sense of urgency of being without AC during the summer. Problem was fixed in short order and he took the time to explain what the issue was and what steps I could take to avoid the problem in the future.
