Literally sitting on the bench outside of this huge Best Buy to write this. I just spent an hour standing in the computer section ready to spend $1500 on an iPad and accessories and only ONE associate came up to me. He asked if I had any questions or need help. I originally said I think I'm ok since I was debating the 13" or 11" screen and then quickly said "actually I was wondering"...he turned as I was talking and asked the same question to a lady behind me. Finished with her, made eye contact with me, and went to the back room through two double doors. This is not a question of staffing. There were plenty of people THERE just nobody working. Those on the floor were bunched up and you could hear associates laughing in the "back storage" area. They just had no interest in Helping customers. At the End of the Day, I set my watch to spend an hour to see if anyone would ask or approach me, since I like walking around Best Buy anyway, but no one even looked my way. This is a Huge Best Buy and they offer a ton of gadgets and electronics thus the TWO stars. I bought a dvd on Best Buy's website. It turns out it was from a 3rd party seller. It arrived in terrible condition. It was used, damaged and clearly re-shrink wrapped. I brought it back to the store the day after it was delivered to return it as the website clearly states I can do. Their system wouldn't allow a return. All three employees that I dealt with were completely unwilling to help me in any way. I showed them every piece of their website that said I could return the item to the store, but apparently Best Buy and its employees don't want to help customers solve problems that they caused by allowing 3rd party sellers. read more

I had to purchase a new microwave and ordered online for a curb side pick-up. it took all of 10 minutes to receive my purchase. The young gentleman that handled it was very respectful and made sure it fit in my SUV. Usually pick-up's don't wait for your trunk to close but he did. When I went onsite he immediately told me he spoke to the other rep and refused to install it. DO NOT COME HERE FOR ANY REASON. Long message coming. We went here after we had an issue with a PC we Bought from them, but had a manufacture out of Cali... we asked them over the phone if they would be able to diagnose it, the first person said yes but it would be 50 dollars. We said okay, thanks and hung up. I called again later to tell them we had a warranty and asked if the diagnostics would be covered, they said yes absolutely. Okay perfect. We went in 10 minuets later, asked the guy to diagnose it, and he said sure, but it will be $100 dollars. I'm sorry... what? Aside from all of that, we had been told we had a warranty with them, that wasn't true apparently, maybe my fault maybe theirs. Then we asked if we could just return it due to the fact it was becoming more work than it was worth. The man then says " oh no we have a 15 day return policy" Not sure who thought that one up but how in hades is someone supposed to determine the pc is working properly in 15 days. Things I buy on Amazon have at least 30. Moral of the story... Best Buy has no idea what they are doing and they are conveniently putting rules in place that benefit them and no one else. read more

Well, it was two strikes and your out for me and the Geek Squad. They probably are good techs for most stuff, but they struck out with me. First, I needed a new battery for my i phone and they were one of the few "certified" Apple repair/replacement places near me. I went on line, said what I needed and made an appointment. They seemed to be quite busy as the first appointment was several days off. I showed up for the appointment and was the only one at the counter. I said I had an appointment and the GS member asked what I needed. I told him I needed a battery for my i phone. He said he would check if they had one that would fit my phone. After a quick trip to the back, he came back and said they did not have one. I asked could I order one or when were they getting more in stock. He said Apple just kind of sent stuff to them and they did not know what they would be receiving or when. I asked if he could call another store. Sure he could and he did, they too did not have a battery for my phone. He commented that Apple was terrible with service and rather than fix anything, they just want you to buy the newest model. I said that sucks, he agreed. They knew what I wanted when I made the appointment, why did they not state that or call to let me know. I left to find a non-Apple cell shop. Next I was there looking for a mouse that would work with a MacBook Air. I found one that looked correct but I checked with the GS guy at the counter. Sure it will work, no problem. I went and purchased it. Got home and it would not install. Called the customer support on the mouse package. After checking the rep. said that the mouse only works with some of the older OS on the Mac. So, back to Best Buy to return it and get another one. I went to this Best Buy location to compare 2 microwaves. The sales associate said he would send someone to help me and never did. I went back him to get someone to help me and he was standing there talking to another employee. He told me he would be right there. I asked to see one of the microwaves and he said it's in the back and he couldn't get it unless I bought it. I said I don't want to buy it until I see it first. I chose one and then changed my mind and picked another one. He sighed heavily because I bothered him. We ended up buying a cheaper microwave. I just went to pick up a big speaker that's in a 45 inch box and extremely heavy for one person to carry. I expected them to offer to help me take it to my car since they brought it out in a Dolly. But when I asked if they would they told me it's for employee use only and expected me to pick it up on my own and carry it to my car. this was supposed to be to purchase a washer and dryer. this was the most horrible experience i had with best buy. i am a elderly person and this was too much!! here is my issue: first issues was that the in-store rep but in 2 dryers instead of washing and dryer to purchased!!! then i called today and the order was fixed but then they did not put in washer installation only to have it delivered!!!!!! was on the phone for an hour to try and correct it to add installation. i had to pay for the washer installation separately! finally, they claimed not to have charged me a delivery fee, when i copy and pasted my original receipt showing the fee was charged. totally a nightmare from beginning to end! couldn't speak to anyone to complain, had to do a live chat. i want to be listen to by a live person not a robot!! shame of best buy! this was a very expensive purchase and to be treated like this is crazy!!! read more

Poor customer service, I walked in to purchase 2 tablets. It stated online they were in stock which is why I went to this location. I stood there for about 15 min RIGHT NEXT to a worker who was currently dealing with a customer which is understandable but then another employee decided he was bored and wanted to go help the other employee with the same customer the whole 15 min I was there and not once did they acknowledge us. I was very frustrated because it does not take 2 workers to help 1. I was tired of waiting so I then went to go ask another employee who kept passing us as well and asked for his help and he stated they were short staff so I mentioned if they were short staff then there shouldn't be 2 workers helping 1 customer when there's another behind him waiting for help. He smirked like he didn't want to help and was annoyed with just asking if it was in stock. Turns out it wasn't ever in sock. Online was wrong. So I left. If I didn't just go and find help I would've been still standing there longer as 2 workers were helping this one customer with a question. Best Buy is Apple Certified. BUT, not certified enough to swap out my Apple Watch under my Apple Care + plan in store because "Apple needs to diagnose" it more. It's shattered, oops. Why does Apple need to test it out more if the glass is shattered? Still worked fine. It's estimated to take a week and a half to get my watch back. Super inconvenient, would rather go to the Apple Store next time my Apple product is broken because they can swap it out then and there. Thought I'd give Best Buy a try next to my house, but ended up being a week and a half. On the bright side, staff was friendly, organized, and communicative. Best Buy and the people they hire for customer service has made it very clear that they do not care about the satisfaction of their customers. On two separate occasions I've spent hundreds with them only to refuse replacing $350 headphones that keep breaking. The CSR literally told me it's not their fault the headphones break and to use my Apple care. Apple care replaces the headphones with the exact same model. Meaning I'll keep having the exact same problems (plastic cracking around the headbands). I didn't even want a refund at this point just a different model of headphones. They told me I do not have any options because they do not cover replacement or repair of Apple headphones. Recently I've also purchased a refrigerator that does not get cold. On multiple occasions now they've somehow sent the people who are supposed to pick it up to the wrong address, delaying the process by weeks. The customer service reps refuse to send and email confirming any information, meaning there's never even a guarantee they'll come or a way I can be sure about the pickup location. They've also refused a refund until their team picks up the fridge. Nearly $600 worth of groceries down the drain because they cannot resolve the issue in a timely manner. read more

I used the Apple Support app to make an appointment for an iPhone screen repair. Little did I know this was a pointless endeavor. I arrived about 15 minutes before my appointment to check in, I was expecting a wait for the repair to be completed of about an hour so I planned to go get some lunch while I was waiting. Turns out that they accept appointment times for times that the technicians are not there. I asked for a wait time estimate and was told the repair tech would not be in for 5 more hours so it would be sometime after that depending on how busy they were. What a waste of time. read more

Zero stars doesn't adequately convey how I feel about this store! I prepare ahead when I make on line purchases, especially when it's a gift. I ordered a rather pricey item and the delivery date was expected way before the event date - and according to the delivery tracking, the item was delivered to my front door. I never got it! Keep in mind, I work from home and am ALWAYS home and I have RING at my front door and above my garage facing the road - NOTHING was delivered!! Still, both Best Buy and their delivery service OnTrac (don't get me started about them too) claim the item was delivered but can't provide proof (Amazon takes a photo of the item at the drop off area) and I've offered to willingly provide any and all documentation available on my RING device showing nothing ever came to my home. To add insult to injury, both Best Buy and OnTrac act like it's no big deal cause "another item can be re-delivered...in 5 days" (long after the even it was intended for has passed)! Now, I'm out of a gift (a pretty damn expensive one at that), someone else scored a pricey item for FREE, and Best Buy is actually fighting me for my refund! We came in today at 10:30 am to buy a phone. We just needed for someone to unlock the hook so we could purchase it at the counter. There was only one person available to assist because the 2nd person assigned to the phone dept. decided to have a 40 min conversation with one customer who did not know what he wanted. There were 5 of us waiting for quick, simple things. I spoke with a manager and he simply said the phone dept is specialized and gets backed up from time to time. Unacceptable when there were literally 8 employees standing around with nothing to do. Get a new manager who knows how to meet business need. read more
