If I could give this company a 0 star review I would. I purchased a refrigerator from home depot and it was scheduled for delivery today from 12-4 and I would receive a call a half hour before the delivery. I received a call at 1226 pm and the driver notes he would be there in 10 minutes. This left 10 minutes to clean the old fridge out. We were also told that they would install the new fridge and put the old one in the garage. Well the driver was literally going to drop the fridge off without installing it and wanted to charge for the moving the old one into the garage when we were told that it was free. When my husband questioned the drivers about installing and moving they just up and left without saying a word. When I called Barlows I was told multiple stories including that the driver showed up at 127 pm and then it changed the story to my husband was confrontational so they couldn't deliver. The driver is on camera at my door and entering my home at 1237. This company is full of lies, the manager refuses to speak with clients, and the dispatcher hangs up on people. read more

Barlow company is what showed on my caller ID from the company when called in, but my text notifications were from LLB logistics (both 623-907-1001)... so the same company. This is the only place I found I could lodge an online complaint, LLB logistics doesn't have a web presence. We got a mattress delivery & haul away service for which we were already charged $25 by JC Penney from these guys. My husband spoke with the larger worker of the two and asked if they were taking our old latex mattress out (we had it in 3 layers on the drive way)... he offered $20 up front and the delivery man took the money with no comment... they gave us the new mattress which went fine, but then he flat out said No to the haul away service saying they didn't have big enough bags for it. Fine, but why did he take the tip up front with the understanding the extra was for hauling away our mattress? We called Barlows and spoke with an operator who said the delivery men called saying they refused haul-away because there were feces and urine visible... she said they couldn't put it in the van with other new furniture. Sounds reasonable, except there were no stains visible on the latex layers at all... let alone poop?? All of this makes us conclude the larger delivery man was lying to us and took our $20 under false pretenses (lying to us in this and then lying to the company about the mattress' condition to cover his butt). All he had to do was say No because the mattress was in 3 rolled latex layers, we would have understood. But outright fabrication is CRAZY. I called a 2nd time and spoke with a manager to leave a complaint about the delivery guy... and she said they can do nothing about the tip money but they report in their invoice to JCP the next day that they haul away wasn't performed. We'll see how JCP handles refunds for this since our $25 was already charged. Fine and reasonable assuming people are honest, but that employee took a large tip and THEN refused to haul away the mattress AND lied to the company to make it sound reasonable. I hate liars. This is beyond crappy customer service. So I'm leaving my complaint here in their 1 star village just to say YES, watch out for their drivers!!! Wish I'd known to look out for this... the text communications says LLB Logistics, which has no internet reviews... but the phone number belongs to Barlows. So even that seems shady! If you are lucky enough to read this BEFORE your delivery, don't give those guys leeway and be quick to call the complaint line when they refuse a service that was guaranteed. read more

I read several of the other reviews and what I read mirrors my nightmare. My question is: why on earth should it take a month to have a dishwasher installed. So I guess this is the company that Home Depot sends out to do their kitchen appliance install jobs. I'm not sure why Home Depot uses this company... maybe they have a contract? Anyway, they came out to install three of our four kitchen appliances (I did the fridge myself). First of all, the guy absolutely destroyed the cabinet above the microwave. Sawdust everywhere, poor measurements meant crooked screws, and no washers to support the weight. The microwave was seriously hanging down on the right side. Check out the picture of the screw just hanging out of the cabinet... Second, a few months later our dishwasher, that we paid an additional $119 (plus cords and adapters) for install stops working. Not only was the dishwasher crooked (the left side comes out about a half inch farther than the right side), the drain hose was so smashed that it was kinked completely closed beyond repair. I'm sure we are going to need a new hose installed. Now we're sitting here during a global pandemic, cooking at home every night and our dishwasher is completely useless. These guys are the absolute worst. Sorry if they are the crew that is assigned to your install. I'd recommend NOT using Home Depot's install service as is seems they will most likely be send this company to your house. read more

Barlow's installed a dishwasher from Home Depot 3 years ago. Apparently they botched the installation as there was rust accumulating under the dishwasher and other places. During a service call to fix an unrelated issue, Asurion (extended warranty people from Home Depot) declared the dishwasher would not be covered under warranty due to the botched installation, which was the first time the issues became known. Home Depot stepped up and offered 50% off of a new dishwasher. Not the best but it's acceptable. Today, Barlow's came out to install the new dishwasher and noted rust, saying I'd have to spend additional money to fix an issue they effectively caused. During a phone conversation I asked if, 3 years ago, things were rusted, how long things were rusted, etc. Barlow's pointed the finger at everything but their initial installation -- old, leaky pipes; a leak from the dishwasher (the same one they installed, mind you); mishandling of the dishwasher; a leak from the sink that connects to the dishwasher (again, their installation) -- anything but their installation. I have since requested Home Depot find another installer for this project as Barlow's does not honor their work. read more

I rescheduled my delivery because someone needs to be on site for it and they scheduled it for me while I was at work. I called and asked to have the time changed to the afternoon and was told by their agent that they would put a note in saying that it needed to be an afternoon delivery. I got a call today saying that my delivery timeframe was once again while me and my fiancé are at work. Both of us work over 30 min away I'm closer but am not able to drive currently so I can't just leave work long enough to accept the delivery. I called to try and get it set to an afternoon time and was told it's not possible. And that if I want my order I need to take the day off. I can't believe it never occurred to me to look up the company in advance that would install the dishwasher we bought from Home Depot. I will never buy another appliance from Home Depot that requires installation. My apologies to Spencer's, where we have always bought in the past and will do so in the future. Shortly after the Barlow's installer left, the kick plate fell off the front of the dishwasher. A quick review of the manual revealed that two the L brackets needed to hold it in had not been installed. And we later discovered the installer had drilled two new holes in the front of the kick plate in an attempt to screw it into another part of the dishwasher!! We called the installer on his cell phone and were told the L brackets were missing from the Home Depot materials. We asked him to check his truck and get back to us. No call back from him or the company. My husband was totally available to the installer throughout the installation process. He was in the next room the whole time and came into the kitchen often, even removing a piece of wood so that the dishwasher would fit into the island better. Yet the installer NEVER said a word about the L bracket issue. When we called Home Depot, they scheduled another installation visit a week later to resolve the issue. Then we got a call just before that 2nd visit telling us we needed to call the manufacturer to order the brackets and reschedule the installation when they arrived .... If we can't mask the extra set of holes in the kick plate, we'll have to order a new one too. I know there have been a few positive reviews of this company, so feel free to roll the dice if you want to. A company will be judged by its worst representatives. They deserve it if they get this level of feedback and don't address the issues. read more

Due to outright carelessness (and laziness), and for the sake of speed, in 30 minutes or so, these two guys managed to change all this by scraping and gouging the laundry room door and doorjamb, for what could've been avoided had they taken a little extra time and precaution. There's no doubt it was tight getting the appliances through the doorway, BUT had these ignorant gorillas taken some slight precautions (say, like, sliding a thin piece of cardboard or padding between the appliances and the doorjamb as they passed through), this recklessness could've likely been avoided. When I and my 89+ year old father tried pointing this out and then asked what precautions they were going to take to protect the door area we were then asked in a very cocky voice "Do you want us to delivery these -OR- not?" Of course we wanted the appliances we paid to have professionally brought in to our home completed, BUT why is it we can't we have both, the delivery and PROFESSIONALISM that we PAID for?? ... **I really have a hard time believing that delivery companies provide no training or protective material for situations like this.** **After reading so many of these one star reviews I also hold HOME DEPOT in equal fault as Barlow's for continuing to do business with this hellacious delivery service company.** I'd strongly suggest steering wide and clear of this company, or in advance, do all that you can to protect your home before they step foot on your property. read more

Home Depot sent us an email with a Delivery Window from 3 to 7pm. At 7:15 someone who barely spoke English called and complained that it was already dark. I told him that it wasn't our fault if they didn't show up earlier. He asked to come in and take a look to see where the refrigerator would be installed. We had emptied the fridge except a few items which weighed approximately 1 pound together. "This has to come out !" So we removed the 5 items and then he jerked the fridge out from the cabinet. "we are not allowed to install the fridge if your water line shutoff valve is not behind the fridge but under the sink !" The guy wasn't wearing a mask despite the information which we received from Home Depot "Our COVID Protocols In order to ensure everyone's safety and best serve you during this time, our team members wear face coverings and maintain 6 feet of distance during delivery." He even tried to approach me and when I stepped back to protect myself he hurried to say "I am vaccinated". Good for him but does that mean that he can't carry and transmit the Covid virus anymore? I am wondering what Barlow's management told their employees? Something like " Don't worry about COVID protocols, just ignore it if customers have a problem if you guys don't wear a mask..." ??? They left without delivering our fridge because our shutoff valve is under the sink (where it is a lot easier to reach than behind the fridge). It has been like that forever these guys couldn't explain why it would be a problem. They parked blocking my driveway... chose to unpack and assemble the appliances in front of my driveway and then left trash in the street and my yard... The absolute worst delivery experience ever. Bought all new appliances on Costco.com. We were supposed to have our appliances delivered on May 5th. Barlows called us on the 4th to notify us the appliances would not be delivered until Monday, May 8th. Why? No explanation. Monday comes and they successfully installed 3 of the 4 appliances, though the top of the microwave seems to be crooked/damaged and I fear they somehow bent the metal when attaching it to the overlying cabinets. They also did not install the dishwasher. They claimed that the old dishwasher could not be removed without tearing up our wood floor. When I got home from work, I successfully removed the dishwasher. How was I able to do it when they weren't? Not sure. I suspect they just aren't willing to put in much effort. Regardless, with the dishwasher removed, we called immediately when they opened the next morning to try to get them to come back to install the dishwasher. We were told we had to wait 3 days, but they'd be here Thursday afternoon. Well, it's now 5:50 pm, Barlows is closed, and despite assuring us that they were 10 minutes away at 4:37, they are not here. The driver is no longer answering his phone. I saw a Barlows truck briefly stop in front of our house around 5pm, then drive away. It appears they thought about coming in to install the dishwasher, but decided it was happy hour, and went to start their evening festivities. This entire experience was awful and unfortunately it reflects very poorly on Costco. I expect MUCH better from Costco, though I will now know what to expect from Barlows. Typically when I have an absolutely horrible experience with a company I check their reviews first to see if maybe they were just having an off day, clearly this wasn't the case. Barlow company came out to install an over the range microwave for us. Our home warranty company was able to find the exact same make and model that broke, so it was literally apples to apples. They were removing the exact same model that they were installing. They were supposed to call 30 minutes before they got here, that never happened. They brought the microwave into my house, looked at the hole it was supposed to go in and said that they could not install it because we didn't have a bump out kit or proper ventilation . My husband opened up the cabinets above the microwave to show them the custom ventilation that was already built into the cabinets and they said that they couldn't do it because GE wouldn't let them. My husband asked them to wait a minute while he ran upstairs to grab me (as I was still getting dressed since they didn't call ahead) to figure out what we should do and they legit RAN out of the house the second he stepped away. I have them on camera stating that they never called because it wasn't in their paperwork to call. I also have them on camera saying they they would wait for my husband to run upstairs to get me. I immediately called and spoke with dispatch who spent 10 minutes explaining to me that she could prove with their call log that they called and that there was nothing that she could do for them to come back out to leave the microwave. A supervisor told me the exact same thing. There was absolutely no resolution to today's issues. They're going to come back out on Monday where I'm assuming they're going to refuse to install the microwave again so I literally have no idea what to do at this point. Reading over the other reviews on this page literally scares me that this company is still in business. They don't care about their customers. They don't care about getting the job done. Chosen delivery company of my Home Depot purchased dishwasher. Before they arrived, I went to the bank 5 minutes away to get a tip for the delivery/installation. When I got back they had already left. I reviewed the footage on my ring camera. They arrived at 3:08p. They left at 3:16p as I was pulling in. Here's what I'm told happened: They took a picture of a slightly corroded shut off valve. Told my girlfriend they couldn't turn it. Told her to call 'the company' and get a plumber to fix it. She was told this was free of charge. (It's not, perhaps the rescheduling was?) They left with my dishwasher and installation kit. I turned the shut off valve 3 times, unaided (bare hand) and turned the water off. When I called the Barlow's they could not attempt redelivery and would have to reschedule. I was very frustrated. I was given a four hour window from 3 to 7 and told I would be contacted a half hour before delivery (which didn't matter because I made arrangements to be home at 3 o'clock). I got a text at 2:10 that said they would be there in 10 minutes. I texted back and said I would not be there and told them about the delivery window which the driver said he knew nothing about (this is from a delivery company mind you). He told me once they got there, they could only stay there a half hour. I told them this was between him and his office, that I would be there before three as agreed upon. He texted me back saying he would get there at 2:35 and would only stay till 2:50, continually threatening not to be there when I got there and telling me I would have to reschedule. This is totally unacceptable for a delivery company to not even be able to get a four hour window correct and then have the driver lie to me (as I saw when I signed on his phone that it had the 3 to 7 delivery window right on there which he said he knew nothing about). Horrible customer service with no accountability for all the nonsense they put you through. JCPenney's should contract with someone else for their mattress delivery. read more

Reading all the other reviews, it's not surprising that Barlow's is rated so low. Simply put, they're awful. If I could give 0 (or negative stars), I would -- and I try to give only positive reviews! Impossible for Barlow's. Had 2 separate deliveries from Home Depot a few days apart, and both were unfortunately delivered by Barlow's. First, they delivered a dishwasher which they couldn't figure out how to install (they said they couldn't find "power" but they failed to see the outlet right next to the dishwasher lol). Then they "figured it out" which amounted to them saying we could only use the dishwasher if we turned on the garbage disposal at the same time. Once they left, it took me about 20 seconds to switch the plugs, but then I had to hire an electrician to fix the wiring so we could use the dishwasher and disposal separately. A few days later, they showed up with a fridge and dryer. We laid out cardboard from the front door to the kitchen so they wouldn't scratch the wood floors. First thing they did was kick the cardboard aside and drag the fridge across the floor, leaving huge gashes in our oak wood floors. Then, they refused to install because "there wasn't a shutoff valve close enough." Home Depot requires a valve within 6 feet of the fridge...ours was 4.5 ft away. Guess that 1.5-foot buffer wasn't enough for Barlow's. So, once again, I installed the appliance myself. Finally, they damaged the dryer in transit, and when the guy was wheeling it back to the truck and I asked when the replacement would be delivered, he said, "Don't know. Don't care. You have to call." Killer customer service! So, I called and, after being transferred between 3 locations only to be transferred back to the first location I called, they said, "Sorry, appliance is back-ordered until mid-January. Can't help you." Awesome -- I was actually hoping not to be able to wash/dry my laundry for 2 months. I don't like giving bad reviews ever, but if anyone deserves it, it's Barlow's. How they're still in business and why Home Depot uses them is beyond comprehension. read more

I'm glad I did, as it ends up they canceled my appointment 2 weeks ago and never bothered to tell me. The reason: Home Depot is transitioning to a new delivery company. Their drivers delivered a damaged dishwasher for the second time in two weeks. They drove it up the hill 3 1/2 hours from Phoenix to my house, and after having it damaged last week, never bothered to check it this time. Having been without a dishwasher for six weeks, I thought maybe I could deal with the damaged one if they offered a discount. It was a big dent in the front of the dishwasher, but I didn't think it would affect performance. I asked if they could install it so I was not without a dishwasher, and bring me a new one later... nope. I asked the installers and the dispatcher to wait 5 minutes while I made a phone call to Home Depot to ask if they would offer a discount on the dishwasher. They couldn't be bothered to wait the few minutes for me to make a phone call. Barlow's dispatcher told me the problem is with the manufacturer, and next time they'll ask for white glove service so they'll inspect it before they deliver it. Seriously? They would drive an appliance for three hours without inspecting it first? Shouldn't they be doing this every time? I am really disappointed that Home Depot uses this shoddy company, that employs people with a bad attitudes. read more

They were to deliver and install a stackable washer/dryer combo. First attempt they didn't have the proper rack to stack them. Home Depot forgot to include that with our order. 6 weeks later the ONE delivery guy said he couldn't install the dryer because he didn't have the right length gas line hose plus he needed another guy to help. So he left the dryer in the garage and said, "You have to find someone else to install it." Terrible service. Unprepared. My gas range failed two days before Thanksgiving this year, 2018. Now that Sears has closed in Flagstaff, nobody had a quality gas range in stock to sell me. I purchased a brand new GE Profile gas range oven, and a new matching GE Profile convection microwave oven from Home Depot. The delivery was scheduled for December 8 between 9 AM and 1 PM. I received a phone call from the delivery/installation company Barlow the day before as promised. I did a Google search on this company, and was very concerned after reading so many poor reviews on Google, Yelp, Better Business Bureau, and others. I can't speak for others negative experiences, I can only share my experience. The delivery guys/installers called me in advance of arriving as I was promised, the appliances arrived in excellent condition, the installation team led by Jose and his associate Jerry were polite, courteous, and professional. I work for UPS and I know what it's like to work for a living, so I always tip well, and take care of the those who are taking care of me. The install was excellent, I would definitely recommend Jose and Jerry for anybody to have their appliances delivered and installed in the future! Thankfully I did not have a negative experience as so many others have posted. I have also done this kind of work in the past, and remodeled a house that I sold in Las Vegas, including replacing all of the kitchen cabinets and appliances myself. Maybe Barlow has had some bad crews in the past, but that has not been my experience, and after reading all these negative reviews, I often wonder if people's understanding of job conditions and what is and is not the responsibility of a delivery/installation company has anything to do with all of the negative reviews? My new stove does not fit flush with the wall like my 22-year-old stove does. When my old stove quit working, I pulled it away from the wall while troubleshooting, and noticed how high up the gas line was on the wall. Even though I bought a similar top of the line GE profile range, I did download the manual and install documents on the new stove I purchased, and was able to see that the new stove has a lower recess cavity for where the gas line is to be located. I was aware before the delivery/installation company arrived, that this may be a problem. I wonder how many people in a similar situation would expect the delivery installation company to be responsible for moving the gas line so that the stove would fit flush against the wall? read more

These people could deliver the Sunday paper from their bicycle yet alone appliances worth $1000's of dollars. Customer service from these people is terrible. They gave me a 4 hour delivery window and said they'd call a half hour before delivery. Do you think called beforehand? Of course not. The delivery people unloaded them from the truck and went to leave. I asked if they could unbox the items to check for damage before leaving, so you think they agreed? Of course not! They up and left before I was able to get them unpackaged. Guess who had a big dent in their dryer? Guess what else, they forgot to bring the additional item I purchased for the install. They put you on hold for forever and don't pick back up or they transfer you from person to person and make you repeat yourself several times just to find out that they don't know what they're doing either. I once was on a phone call with a MANAGER and while I was explaining my situation she started talking to someone else. What!? Ordered a washer and dryer with 2 pedestals from Home Depot in November They get delivered the first of February The dryer is dented so they install the washer and the first pedestal and take the dryer but leave threes come pedestal They come back with the dryer a week later but don't have the screws to install it on top of the pedestal They come back 2 weeks later to install the dryer on top of the pedestal and don't bring the screws so they can't do anything. Waste of our time They are supposed to come back 2 weeks after that with the screws but they cancel the day if and say they aren't coming back because it's been too long since the original install. How is that our fault? The manager informs me that they will come in 2 days with the screws We get a phone call from a rude girl named Alyssa saying that they aren't coming again. Finally talk to someone to wants to help us and they say they're going to talk to Home Depot and get the screws so they can come back out and complete the install Never hear from them so I call them a week later and they have no idea what I'm talking about. I talk to another manager and they say I should call Home Depot and Home Depot will coordinate with them. Not sure why they couldn't call Home Depot since they work with them? Home Depot calls and says that they have the company the screws and they're coming back to install in 2 weeks The delivery guys get here and THEY DON'T HAVE THE SCREWS. Didn't know they were supposed to have screws. Didn't even know what they were supposed to be doing. Delivery driver called to let them know they messed up and they said I have to talk to the manufacturer to get the screws. It is not April. Why couldn't they have told me that weeks ago!?!?!? I expressed me frustrations to the rude girl on the phone and she yelled at me and hung up! Are you kidding me!? I've dealt with your incompetence for almost 3 months and you're going to hang up on me!? I call back and Alyssa answers and I ask to talk to a manager and she asks if I was the woman she hung up on and I say yes and she puts me on hold and nobody picks up. I call back again and Alyssa says the manager is not at their desk and hang up on me again. I call back again and someone else answers this time and transfers me right to the manager. I ask for the owner of the company's info because I'm done with this crap and she claims she doesn't know. I called up Home Depot and they apologized and said they understood if I would never buy from them again Do not buy appliances from Home Depot if you have to deal with these clowns. Nobody knows what they're doing and they're extremely rude, especially Alyssa. I will order from someone else and gladly pay more not to deal with this crap. How this company is still operating and Home Depot is still contracting with them is beyond me. read more

These guys are absolutely horrible. I've had them deliver 3-4 times now appliances I've ordered through Home Depot. I imagine HD uses them because they're cheap and you get what you pay for. This is what they do. 1) they change the delivery times last minute. They were supposed to deliver between 12-4 today but the drivers called at 6:30 am saying they were a half hour away and there was a last minute "schedule mixup". Total nonsense and not the first time. I don't even know if they're employer knows they're doing this. I think they take it upon themselves to shorten their work day. Also the never do what's on the work order. The first few deliveries I couldn't be their because I was working but there were other people doing work on the house. They left the appliances in the boxes, didn't install them or take away the old appliances even though it was on the work order and I paid for it in advance. read more

HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE customer service. When you have an appt time you rearrange your personal schedule. For a company to arrive 3 hours early and be upset you aren't accommodating them is insane. I missed out on a desperately needed refrigerator delivery today and was told the next available appt was 2 weeks out? How do they stay in business? read more

This company should get a negative 1000 star review. I have never worked with such an unprofessional company in my life. I will be reporting them to the BBB. First they lost my dishwasher. After repeated calls they found it and set up another delivery time. After waiting 4 hours for them to deliver i was informed that they forgot the dishwasher at the warehouse. They then set up another time being memorial day weekend. After waiting for 4 hours again I called to check the status of my delivery only to be told that the dishwasher was discovered to be damaged and that they will have to reorder the dishwasher and that they will be in contact once its in stock ready to be delivered. WORST customer service ever. But because they have a contract with HOME DEPOT they feel they can do whatever they want. Absolute Disgusting. read more

Apparently this is the company Home Depot contracted to deliver and install our stacking washer and drier set. My girlfriend took the day off work to be home during their scheduled time. They delivered the washer and drier into the garage on the 1st floor, and then said they couldn't install because we needed a "stacking kit" for our stacking set. They told us we had to buy it ourselves, and when we called Home Depot they told us we should have bought the set in-store so this wouldn't happen. Thanks for that. Anyway we got the stacking kit, which took Home Depot a week to ship to us, and had the installers come back (taking another day off work). They came back and removed our existing washer and drier from the 2nd floor, breaking a light fixture on the wall and spilling water on the carpeted stairs in the process. The installers said they would file a claim at the office, but when we called later about the broken fixture we were informed that the installers had never told anyone at the office about it. So after taking our washer and drier, breaking our light, and soaking our carpet, they refused to install the new set because they needed a longer water hose. They said they would have to order it in and then would come back, and they left us with no washer or drier. They scheduled for a Saturday install so we wouldn't have to take off work again. The installers showed up no earlier than 6pm and, to nobody's surprise, they did not have the longer hose with them. They continually blamed the warehouse staff, but one of them did admit he didn't check the bag to make sure he had everything on the order before leaving the warehouse. We told them to take the new set back with them because we didn't want anything from them anymore, and they said they can't because they don't have a Return Authorization form with them, and that they couldn't return to the office and come back that day with one. We called Home Depot at this point and explained the situation to a manager and we were told that they would return the set and everything would be taken care of. Come Monday, we get a call from the Barlow's saying that we were scheduled between 3-7pm, ON A MONDAY, even though we never agreed to be placed on their schedule and we did not ask them to come back and install the set. So we're supposed to take three days off work for an install that's already paid for? As if doing our laundry at the laundromat this weekend wasn't enough. We spoke with Home Depot about the situation and they told us to deal directly with Barlow's because they managed the warehousing and trucking. So we called Barlow's and told them to only come with the RA form and take the set back, and they told us that we needed to initiate the return with Home Depot. We told them we had, and they said that wasn't true, and asked if we had spoken to a supervisor, which we had. After a pointless back-and-forth with the woman in the office at Barlow's, we got back on the phone with Home Depot and were told that they had submitted the work order already. So we're currently on the phone with Home Depot, and apparently scheduled with Barlow's for them to install the appliances while we're already at work because we never agreed to be scheduled today. We will absolutely never make any major purchase from Home Depot again because of this awful contractor and their dysfunctional relationship. We're researching a local small business to get our replacement appliances from. And still no word on the broken light fixture. read more

Like most people I found that Barlow is among the worst to deal with. Perhaps the worst was the girl who called to schedule the delivery. She had no desire to listen to me or my needs. When I told her I needed a very early appointment she informed me that she had me scheduled for a 4 hour time slot starting at 11:00. No matter how much I told her that the time slot would not work for me she just said she had me scheduled already and then goodbye. She then hung up on me. The delivery truck called me at about 2:30 in the afternoon to say that they would be there in about an hour. The guys delivering the unit did fine, unpacking it and allowing me to inspect it before they left, and taking all the trash with them. I truly dislike Barlow and the attitude of the scheduling person. read more

I ordered a new GE washing machine from Home Depot and expected them to deliver it. However, I got a call from a Barlow (Trucking) Company the day before the delivery saying they would be out between 10 AM and 2 PM the following day. I had never heard of them but assumed they are the delivery and installers for Home Depot. However, when they arrive I see they are two doors down across the street. I walk down to tell them this is the wrong house only to see they are picking up a washer and dryer off the street the neighbors left for big trash pickup (obviously a much higher priority). After waiting another 15 minutes they finally pull up to our house and bring in the washer. They ask for my signature and leave in less than five minutes. I had already gone to Home Depot and bought new hoses for the washer and requested the washer be connected and tested but the delivery guy said unless I bought hoses from them, they would not install the machine so they left. I still don't know where the box or instructions went as they said nothing else, they just left. I am disappointed in Home Depot and the delivery company they contracted. Very poor communication overall and now trying to figure out how to use this washer, I am not very impressed with the machine either. I do NOT recommend buying a washer from Home Depot and then having them send out this Barlow company. Not professional! Having now read other reviews here, I see I am not alone with this experience.
