For some context, my stove required warranty service, and the warranty department coordinated with Guinco for the repair. Unfortunately, my initial interaction with Guinco wasn't great. The representative I spoke with over the phone was dismissive and rude. I tried to explain the issue with my stovetop, but it felt like she brushed off my explanation and jumped to her own conclusion. That part of the process was definitely frustrating. That said, the actual service visit, the more important part of the experience, went very smoothly. The technician arrived on time, was polite, and got the job done quickly. He was professional, helpful, and far more courteous than the office assistant. As it turned out, the issue was exactly what I had originally described. Technician came out to my home in February to address 4 issues with my refrigerator. He resolved one issue and one of the parts was not covered under warranty. He ordered a water filter housing door and crisper lid support bracket that are covered under warranty. I called this morning to find out, when the technician was supposed to come out and install the parts. The supervisor informed me no parts were ordered and the ticket was closed out. And to get these issues addressed I would have to reopen the ticket. Why couldn't this been done at Guinco's level? I had a great experience with this company. When my washing machine stopped working, I called Maytag to see if it would be worth it to have my machine fixed or to buy a new one. The gentleman I spoke with was able to answer all my questions and walked me through a few options which were very reasonable. I booked an appointment through Guinco. My technician, John J was great to work with. I was notified when he would be there, he was on time, knowledgeable and was able to get my machine working in about 20 minutes. Following up to the December 3 review left by Ashlee M. After speaking with Larry (Technical Supervisor) he agreed to wave the trip charge. One week later, a bill showed up for the trip. When I called back and spoke with Larry, he barely recalled our discussion and after pulling up the notes in the system, said that it was an issue on the billing side but that he was not really comfortable waving the trip charge. He enquired about coming out again to attempt to diagnose the problem and at this point I let him know that we already purchased a new refrigerator, so I simply agreed to pay the fee to be done with it. He came out unprepared, was unable to diagnose or repair our freezer yet wanted to charge us the $145 trip charge anyway. My husband spoke to a manager with the company who said he would waive the charge yet we were still billed. Had an appointment with them numerous days , tech never called we were home both days with dogs who bark at everything. No note was left that he was there. Brand new washing machine : whirlpool , came with home, agitator flew off during wash cycle and ripped base out of machine. I guess YouTube it is how to repair it. But they sent the parts to my home. What a great experience with Guinco! A KitchenAid Fridge warranty issue, and they referred us to Guinco. A call to them, for an appointment and it was set for two days away, Got a call from them a bit later and asked if they could move it to the next day, Perfect! The tech Efrain called in the morning to speak about the issue, so he could be sure to bring the correct part, he showed up about an hour later, with covers on his shoes, and a heavy drop cloth to protect our floors from tools, he listened to problem and got right to work. Thirty minutes later, he was done. Efrain is a very friendly and personable employee and Guinco should be proud to have him represent them. Guinco will be my go to appliance repair company. The freezer light went out on our 15 month Whirlpool French Door Fridge so I called customer service to see if it was still under warranty. I was told that our issue was in fact covered through the 5 year Manufacturer warranty and that the repair would be free of charge. I was told wrong. When Leo Padilla arrived for the job, he confirmed that the freezer light was the issue and that typically there would be a $130 service fee + parts and labor. Instead of just saying "sorry, you're out of luck" he went out of his way to call WP customer service to ask if they would be willing to extend the 1 year warranty for a "great customer". The rep didn't hesitate one bit and gave him an approval code for the work needed. He replaced the light, showed us how to do it ourselves in the future and left all the paperwork we would need to order the parts. Leo was helpful, clean, professional, on time and saved us a few hundred bucks when he didn't have to. He is a great asset to this company. read more

We had purchased a brand new range and immediately had two manufacture issues with it. We had some issues with ordering the parts and frustrating. BUT the technician who was sent to us for each visit was wonderful! His name was Jonner. He was so informative, patient and extremely polite. He talked to us about other new appliances we had just purchased and how to best maintain them. No body wants to purchase brand new appliances and have them be faulty. Xavier explained the issue, ordered the replacement part, and gave me the option of what repair date was suitable for my schedule. Following Wednesday (4/24/24) he contacted me for an OK on early arrival. Xavier made the repair and we briefly visited about things other than the issue at hand. Guinco was excellent for texting on service time and again to text when they would arrive, and Greg was very knowledgeable on our Whirlpool refrigerator and gave us tips on how air can leak with frig not perfectly level and opening freezer doors all the way to keep sliding rails from frosting, etc. Great company and employee. read more

I just bought a new home in a new development and the dishwasher (still under warranty) stopped working. The Guinco tech (Efrain) came out today, took one look at the electrical outlet and knew immediately what the issue was: the outlet for the dishwasher is not a dedicated outlet but is shared with the outlets on either side of the counter, so it tripped when I plugged in a small appliance. He was courteous, kind, and respectful and showed me how to fix this issue on my own. read more

I had a technician come out and review my issue and he stated that he needed to order parts and that he would be back the next week to complete the repair. We agree on Friday March 8 which is today. I just called and now I am being told that he scheduled me for next friday March 15 which I would not have done as I will be out of town on vacation. The gentleman on the phone really didn't care what I had to say and when I said that the technician didn't know how to schedule correctly he then stated " I am going to end this call now" and then hung up on me. The office staff understood my situation and was able to get a tech out to my house the next day. I live in the far west valley and alot of companies dont service this area. Originally, I requested an appointment online for a warranty service on my washing machine and the person who called on the phone to make the appointment was great. He was clear, precise and called back as promised. A+ They emailed a confirmation with a window of time instead of my appointment time and I attempted to email back 3 times without any reply so that is a F-. No local number was left, only a number for a robot call line to confirm this window appointment. F- Why offer email communications IF YOU REFUSE TO REPLY!? The service tech they sent (Efrain) was awesome! He gave me a courtesy call when he was on the way and explained the issue clearly. A+ Unless they call you, you cannot get through to a human. ZERO COMMUNICATION. All in all it turned out OK but I was panicked in the morning because I have to work and they gave me a window appointment instead of the actual time that was promised. I would not use again if I have any choice just to avoid the stress of not having a human to consult with. I'd call The Appliance Guy instead. A real person that is local. read more

My extended appliance warranty company send this service company out to help us troubleshoot an intermittent sassy noise coming from our Whirlpool refrigerator. Junior was our service tech. He put on foot cover booties at the door and was wearing a face mask. I think that is very thoughtful and I really appreciated it. He was fast, friendly and detailed. I have a brand new whirlpool appliance this company was assigned for the repair, I have been trying to call them I can't say how good or bad their service is but the first appointment they had available to fix my brand new appliance was four weeks out and when I call all I get is put into a permanent holding pattern I spent over 4 1/2 hours on the phone today with no response, I'm not blaming them for the failure of the appliance but they need to have a more responsive team for customer service 4 1/2 to 5 hours on hold nobody will do that, my phone went dead and I still hadn't talked to anybody, they gave an option to text I sent a text no response on that either... I hope when they come out for the repair that they're better at fixing appliances than they are at answering phones or responding to customer inquiries read more

I bought a commercial washer/dryer unit for my home. It wasn't working and I called around to so many other appliance repair places. NOBODY works on the commercial stuff. These guys do, and they did an excellent job. I paid a fair price for the repair, the parts came in earlier than expected. The technician came to repair my refrigerator under an extended warranty. The technician charged $145 for a 5-minute visit (diagnostic), that according to the company is not included as part of the warranty. A couple of days later the technician gave me an $850 estimate for labor (only) costs to perform the repair. At about $100 per work hour that would mean a full day of work. The estimate was totally unreasonable, so I started looking for other options. To my surprise, a couple of weeks later I got an invoice for $1,200 for the repair, which was never done. Do not miss this, the estimate went from $850 to $1,200 (I would call that inflation), and, most importantly, no one had done the job, so there was nothing to be paid. This company is abusive, I would refrain from engaging with them. -------- This is an update to provide clarity on the response below. I did receive an estimate from the technician by the phone for $850 and, even though the job was never done, an invoice for $1,191. Both from Guinco. What a reliable contractor! read more

My 2 year old KitchenAid dishwasher started throwing a drain error. I could get it intermittently to drain so scheduled service. The tech ran diagnostic and in that mode made it drain. After a few tries in normal mode it stopped draining much like it does for me. The tech concluded that my board must be the issue and told me a new dishwasher is a better bet. He never checked any of the boards voltages or even looked at said board. When he left I priced out a board and a pump. I bought both and tried the board first. It did not fix the issue. The pump however did. I'm upset because I spent over 180 dollars to get a wrong diagnosis and then bought a part based on that which I didn't need. I was right in the first place that it was the pump. Why should I even be paying for such crappy service when I ended up sleuthing it myself and fixing it? I don't often give bad reviews but this is why we usually are DIYers and I will continue to be such. I basically got robbed of my cash and my time with no resolution. read more
