A-Quality Refrigeration was assigned by my home warranty company (OneGuard) for an air-conditioning repair on September 22, 2025. The technician came out on September 24, diagnosed the problem, and said parts would be ordered. I was charged $1,113 on October 7, 2025, but the AC still isn't fixed as of October 20, 2025. The company has been dragging their feet, repeatedly blaming the warranty company for ordering the wrong parts, taking their time to pick up parts, failing to validate that the correct parts were even ordered, and not scheduling any appointments anytime soon. They also don't answer calls, return voicemails, or provide updates. This has left the home without cooling for nearly a month in Arizona heat. Totally unacceptable service and zero accountability. If you're considering using A-Quality Refrigeration -- avoid them. Communication, follow-up, and professionalism are nonexistent. read more

I had A-Quality replace the heating element in my dryer a year ago. It just broke again. I called them to come check it out. I assumed it would be warrantied. Apparently their warranty is only 1 month. Also, when scheduling they made zero mention of a service fee for coming out. Then the tech asked for $90 for coming out. We had A-Quality come out to repair our dryer. They replaced the heating element and the dryer belt. About 2 months later, the dryer started making a deafening squealing sound. I called them to have it fixed only to find out that they only guarantee their work for 30 days. Bottom line, this company does NOT stand behind their work past 30 days. Horrible experience. I was assigned these guys from my home warranty when my air conditioning went out in the middle of summer. I waited 6 hours before contacting them since I haven't heard from them yet (most other contractors contact you within an hour of filing the claim). I finally gave up and called them myself and spoke with Breanne. She seemed very confused and even inconvenienced to be taking my call. Aparently she wasn't in the office and out running errands. She really seemed like she has no clue as to what was going on, telling me it might be WEEKS before they can get to me and get my air conditioning fixed. She said she would call me back within 15-20mins when she gets back to the office so she can get the lead from home warranty and figure out the process. I waited an hour and finally got a voicemail from her... I called back immediately and got voicemail. I tried calling 3 more times within an hour and only got voicemails. It's the middle of summer, 115-degrees outside, and my AC is out. I have kids in the house, and can't be dealing with an unprofessional company that can't even take a call, telling it they don't know what's going on, and it might be WEEKS before getting my AC fixed! Clearly this is a fly by night rookie company with no clue what they're doing! STAY AWAY! This company provides true white-glove service and were outstanding from start to finish. They dealt with a very complicated and difficult problem, a legacy problem left by Chas Roberts' poor workmanship, and not only did A-Quality research it and advise me almost daily on the repair job, they completed it in a timely manner. If that weren't enough, they then called the home warranty company that was covering the repair and ensured that I paid zero for the repair. The owner himself came out and worked with the technician due to the delicate nature of the repair. Where do you even see that anymore? (Not at Chas Roberts, I can assure you.) Honestly, there's not much else to say. Both the owner and the technician were extremely friendly and reasonable. They bent over backwards, did a great job in troubleshooting (put a lot of thought into it honestly), then saw to it that my out of pocket was minimal to non-existent. What a nice breath of fresh air after visiting Chas Roberts' toxic kingdom. I wholeheartedly recommend A-Quality and Mark DeMichele for your air conditioning service and repairs. Daniel came out today and literally is our hero. I thought we were going to be dealing with a back and forth with warranty company and that we'd be without ac for at least a week. He spent over 3 hours meticulously reviewing every square inch of the ac system which included being up in our attic for at least an hour (it's gotta be 125 degrees up there). He had a good attitude and worked diligently the entire time. The man is a beast and a total badass. Consider me a lifetime fan of A Quality. I can not even begin to express my appreciation for A-Quality Refrigeration. Our A.C went out on a Friday evening and we called our home warranty and they set us up with another company. The company was closed all weekend then was a no show on the day of service. At this point we had been without A.C in the middle of AZ heat for 5 days. Needless to say we reached out our home warranty and told them the situation and they got us in touch with Daniel From A-Quality. They were at my house within 20 minutes to check our unit. They told me that are fan motor was bad and they would replace it the next day. Well guess what about 3:30 the same day I got a call from Daniel saying they had the part and they were on their way back to give us Air. Daniel and the other technician went out of their way to be sure my family didn't have to go through another night living in hot conditions. I think that is very rare todays world. If Nick shows up at your door to service your washer or any appliance....SLAM THE DOOR. Totally incompetent and a loud mouthed slob as well. So our home warranty Company, First American sent this guy out from A-Quality Refrigeration, and after telling us our GE washer and Dryer was junk....then our built-in GE Monogram was junk...could not explain way our washer was not getting water but said he would order PARTS? A week goes by and nothing...so contacted home warranty company on Tuesday...week later,....and informed A-QUALITY never contacted them to order parts? So, called GE SERVICE yesteday, showed up today and replaced panel and we paid $314.00....they felt sorry for us and gave a 50% discount. So, it gets better! Nick showed up at 4 p.m. .....did not cancel that appointment to see if he had a clue....but....came with wrong parts and was CLUELESS. He was ticked off at ME for not letting him know it was fixed in the a.m.....jerk...wrong parts....would have waited another week without a washer if Nick could ever figure it out???? I had a problem with our heating unit. Well, what I thought was a problem. I requested to have it looked at through my home warranty company and A-Quality Refrigeration promptly called to make a same day appointment. Turns out (sheepishly) the weird noises and cold air in my heating unit is a normal defrost function and no repairs needed to be made. However, Daniel was really helpful and did what he could to make his time valuable, giving me tips on maintaining the compressor, and even changing out the air filter for me. Apparently the appliance tech that came out from "A Quality" belongs to the "blame the victim" school of appliance repair. He came because the dishwasher was making a loud whining sound that couldn't be good. Sounds like the motor could be going. So he cleaned out some debris, noted on the repair ticket that debris needed to be cleaned and because there was no mechanical failure it was not covered under any warranty. Thanks. I'm sure I could have reached in and pulled out the odd strand of spinach and other detritus (I always wanted to use that word in a review!) like I normally do every week or so. Thanks for helping yourself to the veggie scrubber and using it to clean a part. You can go ahead and throw it away when you are done with it next time. They contract with a home warranty. We had an AC unit that was trash and needed replacing. The tech came out, Daniel, and agreed. We were told on Monday that they would submit paperwork to get the warranty company to cash out instead of repairs, and that they would contact us with an estimate. ***update*** I changed this to 4 stars. After finally getting a hold of Marc, I got everything sorted out. I was really impressed that they continued with the warranty cash out, without my asking. I randomly got a call from the warranty company saying they would send a check, when I had expected this to be a lost cause. Thank you guys, I really appreciate it! It is now Friday, and we have gone nearly a week during the hottest days of the year with no AC. I have yet to hear from anyone about an estimate. But, the warranty company called and said they ordered the parts and were getting ready for repairs in DIRECT contrast to I was told the plan was. Now, The technician is ignoring me. 2 calls and 1 text message that has not been replied to in the last 24 hours. Seriously worried I am going to get charged for services I did not want or authorize. I understand it is the busiest time of the year for these guys, but they are seriously and inexcusably dropping the ball. read more

I called Mark at A-Quality yesterday, I obtained his info VIA my Homeowners Insurance. The blower in my air exchange unit went out the night before. Very hard to sleep in 84 degree conditioins. Moving along, I made contact with Mark, and he advised he would be at my home between 11 AM & 1 PM. I think he arrived at 11:10 AM. He and his assistant got right to it. Diagnosed the problem immediately, only after a series of tests to confirm their diagnosis. The motor was burned out, and they did not have a 3/4 HP on hand. Typically, these motors are 1/2 HP units, but I had an odd one! No Problem. Mark advised they would have one by the end of the day and he would have Daniel, return the following morning between 7AM & 8AM to replace the motor. Mark even called me that same evening to let me know they have the motor and we were still on for the next days installation. The next day a few minutes after 7 AM, Daniel arrives, motor in hand and is ready to get to the task at hand. In approximately 30 minutes the new motor was in, Daniel ran a series of function tests, just to make sure all was working correctly. My AC was back and cooling my house down. Now all of this took place in less than a 24 hour period. Not to mention I had an UNTYPICAL motor, they were still able to get, arrived when they said they would, call me in the evening to let me know they got my motor, and again arrived on schedule the next day, and completed the job. What more could you ask for as a customer. Nothing, they did it all, just like they said they would. A - QUALITY REFRIGERATION INC, is a "Top Shelf" service company, they have earned the right to be proud of the company and the name. I will tell all of my neighbors to call on A-Quality for any of their needs. I will also tell my Family to use them as well. People can be quick to jump and express how unsatisfied they were with any type of service. My practice has always been to let them know when they do a great job also. And A - Quality did just that. I had to use A-quality because that is what my home owners insurance made me use. Mark (who I believe is the owner) 1st got frustrated with me upon his 2nd visit because his technician didn't fix the problem correctly with my refrigerator. Then I just called because it's still not working (wont make water) and they have replaced all the lines. Mark and his team are awesome! They came out for a home warranty service call - the same service call I have made each year as my older AC unit leaks refrigerant. Other companies contracted for previous visits were okay, topping off the unit, doing a cursory inspection, and calling it a day. A-Quality went above and beyond, taking the time to find and repair the leak. It was apparent from the start that they care way too much about customer service to settle for the bare minimum. Thank you Old Republic Home Warranty for recommending Mark. Our first service call was not going to be able to get to us until Monday as our AC went out Tuesday night! The temperature was 115° and we have 6 animal family members and they need to stay cool. This service call was a priority and Mark made it happen. Not only did he confirm when he could get out to look at the AC, but he was able to come out early. His phone rang non-stop, and he reported that he works from sunup to sundown, which is understandable in this heat. A-Quality is a company that I would recommend and one that I'll use again. A-Quality lied and defrauded our company. Beware of the company and of the technician Daniel. Our company had an emergency situation with our AC Unit on site. We contacted A-Quality and they came out. They quoted us a price to fix the problem, took our cash, then told us the actual fix would be a much larger issue. I called the owner and asked if I was at home and paid someone 800 to fix a problem and they told me, no that wasn't the problem - we need another 2000, I would be very upset. The worst part is that another company came out 2 hours later and took a video which I've attached- the leak they said was fixed was NOT, and there wasn't a drop of coolant in our system. If they had put any coolant, it could not have escaped that quickly. They quoted and charged $40 per lb of coolant - 11 lbs at $440.00 Even though they didn't add coolant, we learned our unit only takes a max of 8 lbs. Dirty, dishonest tactics all the way around. You have a lot of choices to deal with your AC issues here in the valley, be careful. A-Quality's team owes us our money back. read more

Technician was sent by home warranty company for a GE Refrigerator that was not cooling property. Tech came to property and since this was a secondary unit stated that the home warranty would not cover anything. Therefore he refused to even diagnose the problem or examine the issue, offering only vague suggestions and giving the number of another repair agency. Only thing the tech did do was make sure the $75.00 service fee was collected. Thanks for poor service and the rip off!! Instead we had to pay another reputable company another $75.00 for a diagnosis of the problem. At least they did what they were paid to do. read more

Letting Nick in my house, 2 times, was a mistake. He was rude and almost aggressive about it. He said my appliances are "crap". My LG refrigerator is top of the line. He says that the dishes in my dishwasher will never be completely dry... huh? Also, residue on them is because we aren't using the right product even though he approved it the first time out. I called the home warranty service and they recommended "A-Quality Refrigeration". My refrigerator was making noise on and off last 2weeks. Technician Daniel came out look at it for only 10minutes and saying he couldn't figure out what was causing the noise. He told me to pay him $65 co-pay service fee for only 10 minutes of quick look and he didn't even fix the noise. I called the owner "Mark" explained to him that my refrigerator was not fixed. Mark stated speaking in loud voice and said they don't chase after the noise and that I should contact my warranty company. Mark was very unprofessional. Do not use this shady company. Old Republic sent them to me to fix my Bosch double oven. The repairman, Nick, arrived, told me he didn't know much about Bosch and would have to go do some online research and would contact me after the holidays. He collected my trade fee of $75 and gave me a receipt. Then he left and eventually punted my repair back to Old Republic and did zero work on my ovens. Then, the A-Quality claimed that I had not paid them and now I am forced to dig up documents and send them to Old Republic so I am not on the hook for $75. I have proof that A-Quality cashed the check two days after they were at my house, despite doing zero work. That's borderline theft. read more

If you are looking for an honest repair company, I highly recommend A-Quality. I had an issue with a leak in the coil. I had one company come out that told me I needed a new coil installed and even recommended that I put in a new unit. I was told that the coil could not be repaired. I called Mark from A-Quality for a second opinion. Not only was he was able to repair the coil, he saved me $1,600 ( the difference from the first quote and what A-Quality charged for the repair). Mark could have told me the same story the first company did, and made a lot more money, but he didn't! Sometimes we just take what the repair company says and believe what they tell us. Because the temperature had dropping into the 30s with a high below 60 he went above & beyond to track down the part that day. He came back in the late afternoon & got the unit up & running. This review is long overdue..sorry Mark but life has been super busy! I do want to acknowledge this company though..and it's owner, Mark. I was having an a/c issue and I have a home warranty ( Old Republic ) for a/c etc. I placed a call for repair...had just completed an online request and before I could close my iPad, Mark called to schedule service. It always takes at least 24 hours..this was 5 minutes ( and on a weekend) ! Off to a good start. Mark himself arrived the next day and was able to determine a leak in the coils. He went off to get the parts...and to get approval from OR for the fix. The parts turned out to be warranties...so OR would not pay for the labor!!! Wth? Apparently Old Republic changed policies in January and will no longer pay for labor if a part is warrantied. Stupid stupid stupid. Mark was also surprised and sympathetic... gave me a fair deal on the labor and we were on. Have to say that his diagnosis of the problem, super speedy response and good deal on the labor made him a favorite for me. Took less than an hour and job done.
