This is my third time using EV Super Techs, and here is the reason I keep coming back: Had them come out for a refrigerator/ice maker issue. Rather than just tell me the cost and do the work, they were HONEST with me and told me the problem is a known issue with Samsung, that there was a class action lawsuit underway for this very issue, and suggested I contact Samsung before moving ahead with them performing the needed repairs. Lo and behold, I called and after some time and some pushing, Samsung will be fixing my refrigerator for free! I hate to write this, but I think people need to know based on our experience as the reviews were so good that I blindly trusted. We called the company because of a smell issue with our four year old washer. All seemed great when they initially came out, except I noticed some water leaking down from the bottom after his initial investigation, which he thought might be residual from draining the bottom. They did solve our smell issue and provided great tips for how to properly use detergent, which I appreciate, but we quickly uncovered that the leak wasn't residual. I called since the visit was under warranty and they came back out but charged us for the work since they had to do more this time. He was not very gentle with the machine and it started leaking out the top side near the drawer, which it wasn't doing before. He was honest and told us we could try replacing a part (the drawer) but he wasn't sure that would fix it. At first we thought it was just the delicate cycle, but in the weeks since he left, it's gotten worse and now leaks on all cycles. We're out over $200 and now also probably have to buy a new washer. In all fairness, I haven't called to see if they'd remedy, because we're both just so frustrated and disappointed that our washer is now worse off than before we called the company to come out and are not confident they can fix it. Even if we spend more and replace the drawer, I don't think that it will be fixed and we'll be out even more money. Just use caution when considering washing machine repairs with this company if you don't want to waste money and have to buy a new washer. read more

Great company. Mike, the very hands on owner, came out to my house on a Saturday. He serviced and made some adjustments on a washer and dryer I had sitting in storage for the last few years. They work like new! He gave me tips and advice on care and how to get the most out of my particular model. The price was very reasonable. Kory came to fix my GE range that wasn't turning off. Turned out it was a stripped knob, so I just had to pay the service fee. He was honest and helped me find a cost knob on Amazon that was less expensive than what he would order. He also got our middle burner working again. He was very nice & professional. Last year I purchased a dishwasher from Sears and paid for them to have it installed. Sears sub-contracted the installation to a local outfit...I can't remember the name, but I wish that I did because they were horrible. Anyway, after FOUR visits to my house by two separate guys from the Sears installation unit, the dishwasher was NEVER properly installed, so I gave up and dealt with a compromised dishwasher floating underneath my countertop all year long. Well, last week, the lousy installation finally collapsed, and the dishwasher was leaning out on my kitchen floor and couldn't be used. So I searched around for an installer, then called East Valley Appliance Repair based on Yelp reviews. I am SO GLAD I did! They sent a crew of two guys the very next day, and within 1 hour, my dishwasher was SOLIDLY installed for the first time in a year. And all they charged was a service call fee. I can't recommend them enough. These guys were professional, efficient, and courteous, and they showed up when they said they would. Plus, they solved the problem for a reasonable fee. We found this company when we we were looking for someone to install our new microwave . They were less expensive than the other three companies we called for a quote and they did an excellent job! When our dryer began to make loud squeaking noises, we called them. They quoted us a price which we felt was very reasonable. Their technician serviced the unit. A day or two later, it began making the noise again, so we called again. They came out and discovered a bearing going out. The technician ordered the new part and only charged us for the part. No additional service call! When the part came in, they installed it and the noise was gone (and at no additional expense). A month or so later we notice the dryer dial was not advancing and the clothes we getting over dried. Again we called East Valley Appliance. We knew this was a totally different issue and we were told there would be a service charge for a technician to assess the problem and give us a price, but if we authorized the work, the service call would be waived. Mike the owner came out himself and discovered that it would cost more to repair than to replace. He waived the service call and told us what to look for in a new dryer. Called to schedule a appointment for someone to repair my fridge. Was told someone would call me back in 10 minutes to schedule an appointment. An hour later and no call back I called them and was immediately told "It will be a week before we can come out." and I asked why does your website claim same day service. I was basically told they offer same day service when they are not busy. Would have been nice to know this before an hour of my time was wasted waiting on their phone call while my fridge continues to constantly run and not keep the food cold. We had major trouble with our Samsung fridge last year, mostly the freezer. We were referred to East Valley Appliance Repair, specifically Kory. He came to our home and sorted out the issue at a fair price. Then something else happened so we called them back. Through the course of 2017 Kory and Mike both came to our home to help us with the issue we had, and didn't charge for defrosting the back panel that always iced up due to no reason except a possible leak in the wiring. They charged when a part was needed and labor for those things, but to maintain our fridges life, while working with Samsung, and not charging us for those dozens of visits was amazing. We had to get a new fridge in the end, and we kind of miss them coming over so often, it became routine! They take their time and are friendly. Please consider giving them business. read more

This is now my Go-To company for appliance repair! Very fair and honest. Had Mike out to repair freezer that was not freezing fully. He told me there's a cheaper fix that we can try first, and if that doesn't work, then we will go the more expensive route but he will apply the labor charges from the first repair to the next repair. Seemed like a risk-free way to try to repair it the most inexpensive route first! The cheap fix worked for a couple of weeks and then the issue resurfaced. When I called to schedule the second time, they went ahead and ordered the part so they would be ready to perform the repair rather than coming out and charging to "assess" the issue (again) and I appreciate the mutual respect for each of our schedules. Arrived on time for the repair with the needed part and only charged me for the cost of the part and not labor the second time even though he was at my home for over an hour both times. I don't mind paying for someone's time; but honesty and fairness are most important to me and this company is both! Speedy customer service, too! Mike and his business partners were respectful and knowledgable, gave me confidence that I could trust in Mike's skills and assessment. We recently moved in to a house with an ice maker that had not been used for awhile. Mike, the owner, came out and took it apart, thoroughly cleaning the inside and recommended replacing an intake hose as well as an old drain tube. The cost of those items was minimal. He came back a second time with Kory, who was also polite and helpful, to replace those items and to move the ice maker back into a very tight space in the cabinetry. Mike was completely knowledgeable with the U-Line ice maker and fixed it completely on the second visit. No extra charge for coming back the second time. He then put in a dose of cleaning fluid and started running it to be sure all was working ok. It was. Reasonable rates and excellent service! Friendly guys! We are very please with the service and support we received from Mike and his staff. We needed our refrigerator looked at as items n the t shelf were freezing and our stove was registering temperatures that were significantly different then the temperature setting. We found them via yelp as they were close to our location in Queen Creek and had a very good rating. Unfortunately we had a service technician who was less that competent and although he had diagnosed the problems correctly he wired the fridge sensors incorrectly and did not perform the proper diagnostics on the unit. We called back and arranged for Mike to come out with his new technician, Kory, who properly diagnosed the problem by calling the manufacturer's support line and identifying the source of the error using the codes. He did not leave until everything was working correctly and was very professional and courteous. He has since let the original technician go and with proper training we believe Kory will be a great addition. We will definitely use the service again and will be working directly with Mike. Please seek other repair options! First of all let me fill you in, I had a washer that was acting pretty crazy as far as not spinning out all water or stopping mid wash. Looked up these guys cause they were local to me, a mistake I won't make again. Anyways, called and receptionist said someone will be out there first thing Monday morning. I don't make a ton on laundry so a few days was ok. Monday I get the call that he will arrive at my house in 15 mins. I show him where the washer is and he immediately just starts turning knobs saying my Maytag washer is more or less whirlpool. He looked at lights, listened to machine, stopped it during a quick fill to check drum with water, looked at bottom. He then told me I might be an actuator but the calibration should have fixed it. $65 service fee and fast forward to laundry day a couple days later.... The machine lid unlocked during operation something that never happened before... Water was filling past the clothes line and not stopping... I hit stop, did a drain and spin to empty put drum. Load never got washed, I had to dry a load just to rewash it another day. Oh did I mention about 30 mins later with the lid wide open, the machine started trying to spin.... All this new stuff after service guy came. Not even the best part yet I called to get my service fee back and asked the manager to call me back saying the service guy didn't fix anything and doesn't know what he was talking about and it's even more broken now and I got a call back from the service guy, did I answer? Nope... I called another day I hot the receptionist even less helpful she said she would make a note and have the manager call me, when I asked do you have my number she hung up on me. The only reason I'm even writing this was the manager never called me..... So you have been warned, with so many options maybe you yelpers can help me find a good place when another appliance goes to an acute sleep.... Yelp on! read more
