Daniel arrived to assess the situation and quickly determined the issue and helped me decide next steps. Today Daniel and the team arrived and installed a new a/c unit and I am thrilled. This review is long overdue..sorry Mark but life has been super busy! I do want to acknowledge this company though..and it's owner, Mark. I was having an a/c issue and I have a home warranty ( Old Republic ) for a/c etc. I placed a call for repair...had just completed an online request and before I could close my iPad, Mark called to schedule service. It always takes at least 24 hours..this was 5 minutes ( and on a weekend) ! Off to a good start. Mark himself arrived the next day and was able to determine a leak in the coils. He went off to get the parts...and to get approval from OR for the fix. The parts turned out to be warranties...so OR would not pay for the labor!!! Wth? Apparently Old Republic changed policies in January and will no longer pay for labor if a part is warrantied. Stupid stupid stupid. Mark was also surprised and sympathetic... gave me a fair deal on the labor and we were on. Have to say that his diagnosis of the problem, super speedy response and good deal on the labor made him a favorite for me. Took less than an hour and job done. If I ever need a/c work ...I'll be calling A Quality! Thank you Mark! read more

My heat pump wasn't working and the home warranty company sent out Mark from A Quality. Although he didn't have the part in stock he searched and found it & was able to complete the work that same day. He was very concerned with getting our heat back on and I was very pleased with his work. I'm glad that I got A Quality to come out! read more

*BEWARE* Mark (the owner) is extremely rude! I used our home warranty to fix a dishwasher that was leaking. (It's a 4plex) and he went to the wrong unit- claimed he "fixed" the problem and that was it. My tenants called and complained that the dishwasher was still leaking. I called him and he YELLED at me over the phone stating it was my tenants fault HE went to the wrong unit..... he came back out to "fix" the problem and gave my tenant misleading information and the dishwasher is still leaking.... it's been a month.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We are now working with a new company to get the dishwasher fixed. read more

We have used Mark's services for over 30 years, and know a number of his other customers. You will not find a more skilled professional in this field, but almost better than this, he actually cares about keeping the cost to the customer as reasonable as he possibly can! Almost all other A/C companies have apparently decided that because they have you over a barrel here in our metro area due to the extreme temps, they are able to make a huge profit, so have no qualms about doing so -not Mark. This is a rare business person to say the least. And although he sincerely cares about the financial burden to his customers, his professional integrity also means that he never cuts a corner to save money either that would not be in your best interest. Truly can't say enough about his personal and professional integrity in light of the world we live in today! read more

Had my AC go out and had heard good things about A-Quality Refrigeration from a friend, so I requested them with my Home Warranty company. Daniel was able to get me in between existing appointments and was here just a couple hours after making the call! I have never met an AC tech who was so personable and professional at the same time. He diagnosed my issue very quickly and I had cold air again about an hour after he arrived! I could not be happier. I wish I could give them zero stars. This is the second time we've had them out for a home warranty request even though after the first time I specifically told the home warranty company to NEVER send this company again. The first time he performed an incorrect repair, I know it wasn't the correct repair because the home warranty company had to send out another company for free to do what they should have done in the first place. And the whole time he's talking a big game about how smart he is, talking, talking, talking and was totally unfocused on the repair and in the end it had to be fixed by someone else. This last time he came out he basically said that the break in my appliance couldn't have happened like I said it did, essentially calling me a liar, just like the other 1 star reviewer described, blaming the victim. In the end the home warranty company has to send someone else out, do you see a pattern here? INCOMPETENT. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. If they get assigned to you from your home warranty company you have the right to ask for someone else! read more

Very pleased with the service we received from A-Quality. Within 15 minutes of calling our home warranty company to tell them our air conditioner had stopped working, I received a call letting me know they would be out between 8-10am the next day. Daniel was at our home at 8am sharp. He found the problem right away and said they had to order the part so it might take 1-2 days. We were so impressed because the owner tracked down the part, went to pick it up instead of waiting for delivery, and Daniel was back by 4pm the same day to install the part. If I could give them a zero I would. Never let them come to your house for a home warrarnty service call. They advised us the 12 year old air conditioning unit on our house was inproperly installed when the condensation line was actually leaking into our house. Even thought the A/C was installed to CODE. Not only causing the warrently company to deny our claim but also voito Exclude any future work to our unit. Luckliy my husband is a tradesman and told the warrently company it could not possibly be to that considering the age of the unit and there has never been prior damage to the walls. A second company came out, confirmed the lines were clogged and also that the lines for primary and secondary drainage needed to be switched. He corrected and called the Insruance comapny so we should be able to get other items covered in the future. I think A-Quality is getting paid extra to exclude the A/C from your home warratnty's THEY SUCK! read more

There is nothing A-quality about this company. I was appointed to this company by my home warranty company to fix my oven. Mark (the owner) was very rude on setting up my appointment and was not willing to work with the customer schedule for his technician to look at the problem. Also, Nick (the technician) has no customer interaction skills and was not willing to wait for the oven to run its course to see if the problem was fix. Never again going to use this company and PLEASE don't use them too. Please do your research for top quality, learn from my mistake. read more

I called my home warranty company because our dishwasher was making a loud noise that seemed to suggest that something was wrong with the motor. Rob came out and said there was nothing wrong with it. He just cleaned out the sprayers and told me to use Lemi-Shine. Then he did something with the garbage disposal that he said would prevent the food from backing into the dishwasher. Sounds good, right? Next morning, we woke up and there was a flood under the sink. We left three or four messages before we finally got a call back. They said they could come back out...in two days....to fix a problem that they caused....and it might cost us more. I will never use this company again. read more

Even though my home warranty didn't cover the part that needed fixed, A Quality did it for a very reasonable price and we have had no issues since. I have heard many horror stories about contractors from home warranty companies and let me tell you that this is NOT one of them. I sent my request through my home warranty company in the morning and I received a call within an hour from Mark. He was able to send someone within the next 2 hours to come take a look and, mind you, this was not even an emergency. Daniel was the technician. He was prompt, presentable, and courteous. The problem was with my dishwasher. Water was leaking into the washer from my sink, and while the solution was fairly simple, he went above and beyond by advising me how to disinfect the dishwasher. He actually did it for me. He recommended what I should be using to clean the dishes and he tested the water temperature and determined that it was not hot enough so he actually adjusted my water heater. This is a family owned business and I will definitely be using them again in the future. Great service! read more

This company seems to use the blame the warranty company for any bad reviews. Lets just say we'll just pass the buck because we don't make money on warranty companies. We can't pad enough money into the cost of the unit to go by the manufactures warranty. We had had our air conditioner go out in November in Arizona which everybody knows that's about the last time you will use it until June July for me I like it hot so until its110 the air doesn't come on. I turn on the air for the first time this month I went to take the garbage out and heard a noise from the fan that does not sound normal. I called A quality refrigeration as they were the ones that installed the unit through the warranty company. They said they do not carry the warranty on the unit that the warranty company does and that they would not come out and look at it under the warranty even though it has a 5 year warranty I called the Home warranty company and they said the warranty is transferred to A quality refrigeration and they should be able to take care of any repairs under that warranty. I called A quality refrigeration told them the noise I was hearing. They said sorry we can't help you there is no warranty on that unit and it's a cheap piece of crap because it comes from the warranty company I would've been better I've cashing out and upgrading to a different unit. If I would like them to come out and look at it there would be a service charge and possibly parts. Call the warranty company and they said they could put in a new ticket to have them come out and look at it but it would cost me also a service charge even though this system is under warranty for 5 years sounds like both companies are just passing the buck. I'm sorry but I work for a company that would stand behind its work no matter what and if somebody calls for any reason that is under warranty on anything we would be there to look at it and covered under the warranty unless it was damaged or broken by someone else. The worst customer service I've ever had. I would rather pay another company to just come out and look at it I guess I hold the warranty because it's under a manufacturer's warranty so I guess I will just have to go through the manufacture. I would not recommend using this company for anything. read more

Our home warranty company sent them out so we did not have a choice. If you do, find another place. Our ice maker went out and they had to replace it twice and attempt to fix one of the new ones to no avail. It still does not work. The final time the serviceman came out to put in a new one said it should work, but if it doesn't I'm not coming back. He was getting irritated at us because the icemaker would not work, like it was our fault. There are plenty of other places to call that know how to treat customers better, or better yet know how to fix an icemaker. Save yourself a headache and stay away from this company. read more

I would give them a Zero if it was available. Their customer service is HORRIBLE. My home warranty company sent this company out to repair my washer. The first time the rude guy showed up he wasn't even there 2 minutes. How could he have possibly figured out what was wrong with it that quickly. He ordered the parts and came back a week later and wasn't even at my house 5 minutes when he discovered that the NEW parts he ordered were bad. He said it happens a lot that they get bad parts. Well, Einstein if it happens a lot why didn't you order more than 1 box of new parts. I then explained that I had taken the day off work to be there for him to fix it. His response was well I didn't tell you to take the day off work. Nice!! It took over 1 1/2 weeks for the 2nd set of new parts of come. He came back to my house for the 3rd time was there approximately 5 minutes when he had to explain to me again he can not fix it and if I wanted to kick his ass I could. WHO SAYS THAT!!!!! He told me he would call our home warranty company immediately and explain he could not fix it and a replacement was needed. He never did. I am out $200 from having to go to the laundromat but more importantly SUPER FRUSTRATED by such bad customer service. I DON'T every complain about any company but the was over the top POOR service. They were great and came out right away! Daniel, the technician was very nice! He originally said it could be a couple days bc of the part we needed. I had the privilege of talking to Mark about scheduling a service call at my home in Mesa; when I purchased the property, it came with a 1 year home warranty. I am only in Arizona in the winter, but would be there for 3 days in July, and wanted to make sure I could get on the schedule for my short visit. He was rude, obnoxious, and not a businessman at all. He ask me "why in the hell would I bother him for a date that was 3 weeks away" he stated he was to busy to worry about a job so far away. At this point my conversation with him was terminated on my end; I immediately sent emails out to the home warranty company, the real estate broker that sold me the home warranty, and today I am talking to the BBB. As a service manager for a nationwide HVAC company, customer service is always a priority with us, and I would FIRE any employee that acted the way this man did.
