When I scheduled a service appointment, I was told there would be a two-month wait because they were backed up. I accepted that and waited. On the afternoon before the morning of my appointment, they called to cancel -- not to reschedule promptly, but to push me out another full month. No apology that meant anything until I confronted Deb. Her apology also meant nothing and I only got it after I confronted her with the poor treatment she gave me. And still no commitment to get anybody out any sooner than waiting another month. Just a well, I'll try but I can't promise you anything. No effort to prioritize a loyal customer with a significant investment. Just another delay with no end in sight. This is the kind of company that will take your money on the front end and leave you hanging on the back end. Loyal customers are not a priority here -- you are just a number in a queue. If you have a high-value system that depends on reliable maintenance, do yourself a favor and find a provider that will actually show up when they say they will. I understand when this was under old management, before the new owner took over, it was a well run company. But not now. Added: know I asked them to service my unit for two months of which they could not make time to do so. When I finally did get an appointment, they canceled it and told me it was going to be another month which would total three months of their failure to service the expensive equipment that I received from them.

We'd turn it off for a bit, turn it back on and it would work just fine for a few more days. Didn't seem to be a problem with electric, refrigerant, etc. We'd had the unit serviced recently so not much dirt on the unit.. I guess we're lucky because in the few years we've been here both our units have functioned great. Wasn't sure who to call, but we'd had a great experience with the plumbing side of Hansen, so we reached out. Scheduling was very easy. You can do so online, or a real person answers the phone. They offered to have someone out within a few hours! Our problem wasn't that urgent, but it's comforting to know. Benjamin was our technician, and he was great with communication. He diagnosed the problem (leaking fan motor) very quickly, and gave us options for repair. At no time was he pushy about anything, just factual. We were on the fence with repair vs replace, but decided the unit had enough life in it to repair. Ben also gave us figures on replacing with an eye towards the future. He wrote it all up even knowing that we weren't going to buy anything in the short term. This is really excellent customer service, and you can bet when we're ready we will remember. The repairs were done quickly, we got an email with the invoice and pictures of all the areas worked on. The property was left tidy, and it was an overall excellent experience. That was a week ago, and our AC is working better than it has in the past two years.

I initially decided in Dukes of Air in May 2016 after our…read morecondo air unit bit the dust during a hot memorial weekend and the only online venue back then that was avail was Yelp- no Nextdoor, no Reddit... even though this company was bought out- I'm sure several of the original techs still are there doing the same crappy work-- see photos! I had them come out YEAR after YEAR and each time the tech would complain about what the last did. Aside from making a disgusting mess with all of the black tar over my closet room, the front and back concrete patio- they did a Jerry Rig Each and every time! And they stripped the screws and bolts badly. This hvac co. came out for biannual maintenance check -- which obviously doesn't include removal and cleaning of blower wheel and housing, nor does it include cleaning out the water outflow drainage tube that collects foliage debris; which then cause water backup prompting another service call. Btw. I promptly dumped the monthly service fee to get two "system checks" a year because it seems like once they find something- it's due to the last years of other techs doing absolutely nothing! They're all young and lazy looking to make a quick buck and likely forced by the corporate man to sell sell service repair upsell!! I'm not looking over their shoulder step by step and asking what are you doing, what does this mean? But I will for sure moving forward!! I keep my air at 77 and not lower, so there's not a huge stress. They noted a slow leak last February and suggested a leak test. I didn't do it at the time since he said it was slow. Two guys come out, in their separate top of the line Mercedes vehicles, and tell me I need my coil replaced; which is covered under warranty and scared me into schedule replacement for refrigeration leak and coil replacement along with the blower wheel cleaned, because, as the tech said look at what your breathing in (photo). No I am not - that's why there's a filter used inside, but still-well my bi yearly maintenance should include that cleaning!! And why wasn't this brought to my attention in the previous years??!Lazy arses. Since the coil is covered under warranty I was quoted 4 hours labor, coils replacement and fan cleaned and refrigerant at $$$2400!! The next company I used --Larson, a certified Trane dealer- said No leak!! Don't use them either, a grand less as they said no coil leak! But $1550 for refrigerant you can get on FB for free mixed with the new stuff at $15 a lbs and you mark up it up! I'm telling you these dumb techs don't know squat. Then how the heck did refrigerant leak in an enclosed system?? Hey Dukes if Air-/IF the coil is covered under warranty then why am I being charged for it?? This is with my gold member discount since they have serviced my unit exclusively since day one. If it is a slow leak why would the coil need to be replaced? The guy last Feb said it could wait until next year, but the guys today said that it could cause my compressor to blow! Yet my neighbors have their original unit from 30 yrs ago still working?? And-- it was very obvious that they both had to return to the vehicle to come up with a price each time. It was obvious one lead sales guy was teaching a newer guy how to reel the money in for repairs to be done as a quick fix for a couple grand-NOT getting to the root cause. 1) Bad recommendation to use Trane 2) Crap duct work done from day one 3) Crooked, Dumb or Lazy techs thereafter Lastly, the 5 stars are from friends and family members of the hvac techs and owners- it's ALL BS!! And use ai to do your homework and get at least 7 quotes! Find an individual or small business and let these big companies rip off Richie poos!

    If rate 0 stars if I could. My AC broke on may 9th and may 10th a tech came out and said it was a…read moredirty filter. It then broke again with a LARGER issue on June 9th and officially a work order was put in on the 11th a tech came out on the 12 trying to tell me again it was a dirty filter. I then called at 6am the next day asking a new tech to come out and they said a dispatcher would contact me. Around 3pm I called saying that no one reached out and they told me they were waiting on my property company for approval. I called my property company and they said they were waiting on AC doctors to send it over so I called them both merged the call were AC doctors then told me it had not been sent over and they would forward it to the office, that was Saturday. Sunday my property company reached out to me to let me know they STILL hadn't received an estimate to approve and were waiting on AC doctors. This morning I texted my property company they said they approved the quote at 8am and that AC plumbing doctors would reach out to me only to tell me that they won't be available today. SAME DAY FIX is bullshit. 24/7 is bullshit if they can't get things sent over for approval or parts ordered on the weekend.

    If you have AC needs, a home warranty, or both, skip K&K…read more I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with K&K during a home warranty AC service call. The system was diagnosed as having low refrigerant and likely a significant leak, with poor cooling performance and a very low temperature differential. The report recommended full system replacement. While those findings can indicate a serious issue, the recommendation to replace the entire system was made without documenting the actual leak location, performing a leak isolation test, or clearly identifying which component had failed. When I called the office for clarification, I spoke with Danny, who became defensive when I asked questions about the diagnosis and why repair options were not being considered. During that conversation, he told me to "stop acting so crazy" simply for asking for clarification on the findings, which was unprofessional and inappropriate. Danny was also confused regarding the home warranty process (see attached invoice from K&K) including statements that I would need to pay K&K directly, which contradicts the home warranty company. For context, I obtained a second opinion from another licensed HVAC company, which recommended a more measured approach including leak testing, refrigerant recharge, and evaluation of individual components before considering full system replacement. At a minimum, I would expect clear documentation of diagnostic steps, confirmation of failure points, and professional communication when recommending a major system replacement. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise other homeowners with home warranty coverage to get a second opinion before approving full HVAC system replacement recommendations from this company.
