We have been super happy with Danny and his guys at K&K. They came out about 5 years ago to service one of our air conditioners and fixed it for $250. Then a year and a half ago, as it was cooling off, we had them come back out to check on them (given they were 23 years old) and it was deemed time to replace them before they gave out in the heat of summer. I was so grateful...there was no pressing for upgrades, they didn't need a crane to get them all the way around one side of the house to the other through the back (like other companies said was needed). It kept our expenses SO much more reasonable. BTW, I checked out all the companies that were on SRP's list for the rebate...for the relatively small amount of the rebate, those companies were about 3 times (yes, 3X!) more expensive. read more

Our air conditioner stopped cooling Thursday Night. K&K Heating and Air responded to my request for repair and sent a technician next morning for Friday repair. Jelani was an outstanding technician. He arrived during the predicted window and promptly fixed our air conditioner. He accurately diagnosed the problem: dirty and clogged coils. He carefully and fully cleaned them with a water hose. He also checked for other potential causes but found them irrelevant. After cleaning the coils, the air conditioner resumed cooling. I'm looking to replace a 5 ton split and was contacted by K&K, they set up a day and time to swing by for an estimate, but they were running late and never called. So I texted their contact to cancel. Sorry folks, but being late for a scheduled appointment and a no call/no show in our industry is a dealbreaker. If you can't be on time, how dependable will you be with the demolition of the existing system, getting the new equipment, ductwork, piping, t-stat, and insulation to the job in a timely manner; then installing it, charging the lines, doing start-up, and commissioning the new system after a blow-down? I put 25 years working in the Sheet Metal trade here in Arizona--17 of those years as a Foreman on large commercial and industrial projects before I got into estimating Mechanical systems. My landlord asked me to call these folks for AC repair. I called on a Tuesday and they said they'd have someone at my house between 2-4 on the Friday before a long weekend. Someone finally showed up, in an unmarked vehicle, after 5pm. The fix was simple: replace coolant. Today (Tuesday, 4 days later) they called me 5x in 20 minutes. I ignored the calls, as I was working and they'd already been out. Then they showed up (apparently it was them since I was in a work meeting) and rang my doorbell off and on for 10 minutes. My dog was going crazy, barking, making it difficult to hear my online meeting. I wasn't expecting anyone, was working, and I don't open the door when I'm not expecting anyone. Our AC unit was not cooling and the motor in the unit was making a loud grinding sound. I searched a request for some quotes and Danny from K&K promptly responded, and was able to come out within an immediate time frame and arrived within an hour of the request. He even checked out and serviced my other AC system to make sure it was cooling like it should, at no extra charge. Had these guys come out a couple weeks ago. They changed out a couple capacitators and fixed my A/C after being a couple hours late. My previous review I gave them 5 stars since it was late and they still showed up and made repairs. Now A/C won't work and they are unable to be contacted by phone and apparently closed for a couple weeks. Had to call someone else today to fix my A/C again. An additional expense for me. This company installed two new air conditioner units in two of my assisted living homes in east Mesa last may /june 2022 totaling close to 22,000. dollars we have had issues with these units since! When we call for service there long delay in response time knowing there are sick elderly people residing in our homes ! We have to call other service technicians to help ensure we get expedited service to ensure the safety and welfare of our residents ! This company was prompt and attentive when they wanted to sell us their products ! I would never recommend this company ! I would like to respond to one comment made by the owner Danny you were correct about one unit with an unpaid balance for 6500 $ which we paid payments out for several months We paid for 7500 dollar unit along with another 4500 dollar unit and another 4500 dollar unit all within a Matter of weeks totaling 16,500 all paid at one time then paying half of the 6500 balance a few weeks after the installation was 3500 dollars 19,000. dollars paid up front remaining balance of 3000.00 spread over several months we discussed with you the hardship of having to pay for all four units at one time and you agreed to us making payments on unpaid balance . I am truly disappointed with the Knowledge of knowing that there are sick vulnerable people residing in our home that you wouldn't at least try to help accommodate our residents .
