He tried to tell me I had a leak in my indoor coil - no leak detector, no bubbles, just a finger wipe Told me my pressures were off, I said that could be because the ambient temp is 61 degrees that bull crap might work with homeowners, but not on other HVAC techs. He took the time to explain what was wrong, what needed to be done to fix it and gave us a cost estimate (which was more than fair) before doing any repairs. Highly recommend! Our AC unit was blowing hot air. I called their office and they told me to fill out the service request form online. It was very easy to do, simple questions and didn't take but a minute. Within 30 minutes JP and Chino were at my front door. They did a lot of diagnostic work to assess the unit, took a lot of pictures and the pictures become part of the invoice. They explained everything they were seeing. They did not pressure me into replacing our unit or upselling me on things it didn't sound like it needed. The pricing seemed very reasonable. A couple of weeks after my AC was installed, John personally came out to do a quality check and make sure everything was working appropriately. Unbelievable service! Came home Saturday night from a weekend in the mountains to find our A/C at home was out, 93 degrees in the house. During the most recent heat wave, my upstairs AC unit started making loud noises one morning and would not cool. I then reached out to about 10 companies on Yelp and understandably the earliest appointment I could make would be for three to four days (!) later. I was also informed that there would usually be a fee just for the visit. As I was debating my next steps, I suddenly remembered Pineapple Air Heating & Cooling from a few weeks prior. I saw one of their colorful vans parked near a Home Depot and remembered the giant pineapple marketing. I decided to google the company and thought "what the heck" and called them up for their availability. I am so glad I did because their service was great. As luck would have it, John, the owner, picked up my call and despite having the day booked, he made time to see my unit later that day. He also did not charge any inspection fees, which was a pleasant surprise. Our experience with John was great - he was a professional and had a good sense of humor. After he finished his inspection, he told us what was needed to repair our unit. We instructed him to order to the part, which took a couple of days to arrive. While the part was in transit, John gave us status updates. When the part finally arrived, John came back to our home and worked tirelessly to make sure we had a unit that cooled. I called in a haste after being overzealous and attempting to install a smart thermostat during a nice 113 degree day. Well I butchered the install and called several companies in a panic seeing who could fix it immediately. After being brushed off by several companies and pushed back to a month out, Pineapple saved the day. I wish I remember the name but whoever I called went above and beyond. He advised he was swamped with several jobs but wanted to try and help me over the phone to save a service call for a small job. He politely informed me that I had a heat pump (as I was used to a furnace) and that all I had to do was fix a single wire. Boom wire repositioned and the AC was blowing cold again.
