Garbage Plate is one of their two specials, and it lives up to its name. While not a doctor, I'm sure eating that over and over wouldn't be good for me long term but for a morning meal on a road trip home it sure does the trick. All in for two big breakfasts and sodas was $26, and today that's not insane given everything else going on in life. It came cut into two parts, with one part wrapped neatly in foil. Personally, I really wish they offered a "build your own" option where you could just choose your own specific bread, meat, cheese, and toppings, rather than having to hunt through the large preset menu options to find a combination where you like everything. I was really surprised by how incredibly small the side portion of pasta salad was--about the size of a standard salad dressing container! I've honestly never seen a side dish served that small before, so I posted a photo of the two side by side to show the exact comparison. My wife ordered the Kaleidoscope, which is a vegetarian sandwich, but she went with their option to have it served as a salad, which meant it was in a bowl and on a bed of seasonal greens and topped with lemony garbanzos. The Kaleidoscope also boasts kale, red wine shrooms, crunchy house pickle, caramelized onions, and an herb green sauce. It was a flavor explosion. Everything blending unbelievably well. The dish showed creativity not only in the mix of ingredients, but the presentation as well. I'm sure it would've been a great sandwich, but it was killer as a salad. My special of the day, The Shawarma Greek pita was wonderful. Everything I love about Greek food and spices all neatly put together in a tasty pita sandwich. Not only were they large, but everything was fresh, and crazy delicious. I could drink the herby sauce on the midnight snack. The owner was so kind, grabbed a high chair for our toddler, and gave us a cookie to try. It was the best chocolate chip I've ever had. They swap out baked goods and I'm always envious when I see the daily special on instagram and I'm too far away to snag it. We can't wait to go back!
