We had carpenter ants in our attic above the master bath. Our inspector was very professional and seemed to understand the carpenter ant problem we had. After the service, we noticed no change in the number of carpenter ants so we called in the warranty. The next technician was a different guy who started spraying in our living room. We told him where the ants were but he continued spraying floorboards on the other side of the house. He had clearly not been told of the issue. As far as I'm aware no one even went into the attic. Of course, we have seen no change if not an increase in the number of carpenter ants now 4 weeks later. It's very hard these days to get a service without signing up for a subscription. I get these are profit-maximizing organizations, but man can we not get a single individual problem cared for without signing up for a subscription? I don't want a monthly service, I want the problem treated and dealt with. It's not a complicated solution. read more

I have used Berrett for years because up until recently, they were easy to reach, honest, and reliable. I have had multiple properties on their annual maintenance plan and was very happy for the longest time. Something must have changed with them in recent months, because every interaction with the them recently has been a complete disaster. Difficult/impossible to get a person live on the phone (they have a terrible AI agent), they are unreliable showing up for confirmed appointments, but by far the worst change has been they have become just like every other HVAC company in aggressively upselling unneeded service and repairs, and being dishonest about things that are actually issues vs not needing repair. As of this morning, I have cancelled all memberships with Berrett and found a better alternative that does not actively try to take advantage of their customers. read more

Barrett Pest Control is a scam operation run by people who have zero integrity. I called and requested cancellation. They told me it was canceled. Then they kept charging my card for six months while I thought the account was closed. I called back multiple times and asked them again to cancel. They still kept billing me. When I finally caught it and demanded they fix it and refund the money they stole, management refused and had the nerve to say it was my fault for not "pursuing it." That is disgusting. They take your money after you cancel, ignore you when you call, then blame you when you catch them. Do not give these people your card. Do not sign anything. They will charge you after you tell them to stop and then act like you're the problem. read more

Somehow, I got German roaches in my house. The first exterminator did a great job of knocking them out in four months. He came every few weeks, setting up appointments, as I requested. Then, he was let go for some reason. The second guy was also good. But, he was terminated, too. The third guy showed up without an appointment and claimed to "treat the outside". I made an appointment for a treatment a few weeks later when I could be at home, and that guy had an awful attitude, so I sent him packing. I called to terminate service and get a refund of the past few months billing - yes, they'll put you on monthly billing which was unclear since it started while I was getting billed for the initial German roaches treatment that had a guarantee. I called and asked for a refund of the last quarter since there was no service other than the "ghost" service scam treatment. They refused and offered a free month. Don't fall for the monthly billing SCAM. read more

I have called this organization 3 times to cancel my service. I have been an on-time paying customer for years. Yet, they will NOT ANSWER or RETURN phone calls. They are truly horrible and i would advise anyone considering this type of services to steer clear of them. read more

I have a raccoon nesting in my detached garage (Spring TX). Called Berrett Home Services to schedule them to come out on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 as soon as they could. They set me up for an appointment for Thursday, May 14, 2026 between 3-5pm. I left them my cell phone # and they said they would give me a 30 minute heads up on their arrival. I took a 1/2 off work and arrived home at 2:30pm so that I would be there for the inspection/service. I checked my email and found a 1145am message that they would not make todays appointment and wanted me to call them back to re-schedule, with the earliest available time being Monday. I lost a 1/2's work/pay. They lost my business. I DO NOT recommend them. read more

Customer service with texting , calling and even the service technician Jim Guynes is always great! We haven't seen Jim in a while cause he's so good at what he does he was promoted. So, when we opened the door it was such a blessing. Jim just like the technician Justin are just our families favorite service technicians they are detailed, their listening skills are wonderful and their his attitudes are sweet they are both such respectful guys. They put boot covers on and never make us feel awkward for asking to spray in areas that may seem over the top. Jim like Justin always likes making their clients happy with good service and a smile. Terrible, deceptive company. They are insisting that their warranty begins one month earlier than was communicated previously, and only told this once we informed them that we were canceling. Which then magically changed a inspection that was previously no cost into the same amount as the warranty cost. They were fine for initial work but the warranty is a rip off, and a nightmare to cancel. Would not recommend getting involved in this company unless you like bogus "subscriptions" and hours on the phone without making any progress. read more

Absolutely the worst....they may have actually become a criminal enterprise. A year ago they sold me $3000 worth of unneeded rodent exclusion doodads. Did nothing to eliminate the mice. In a subsequent visit by one of their techs, he admitted that I was sold something I didn't need...and attributed it to an the inexperience estimator that they had sent out. I complained multiple times to a manager named Chris...she was absolutely unhelpful, argumentative, and confrontational. I considered taking legal action, but decided to let it drop. Now, one year later, they charged my credit card for a renewal of the warranty...something I had specifically declined (I have the contract here in front of me if anyone has any questions). Essentially, I feel I've been the victim of elder fraud, and want to warn potential victims to stay far, far away from this sleazebag operation. read more

I used Barrett pest control for a few years at two addresses and four years later after I had cancelled services they tell me I have an outstanding balance so I gave them a call to dispute the balance. I am lied to put on hold and dismissed. I have never had such horrible customer service I've always thought highly of the company but I guess I was WRONG! I will no longer recommend them to anyone. Please BEWARE! I would like to say that KATHLEEN and LESLIE were no help at all. Kathleen put me on hold for 20 minutes to speak with a manager that was not even in the office. I had to call back three times and my issue is still not resolved . When I canceled the service in 2021 I verified there was no outstanding balance, but they said my account is not noted. They also said that my account wasn't noted when collections called me so I must've been lying about all of it. If I could give no stars, I would. read more

We're very appreciative of our very knowledgeable serviceman, Tim. He's done a great job every time, and on the rare occasion that we do see something we didn't invite, he's gracious enough to quickly come out and re-treat our house. He's allowed us to really enjoy our new house free of ugly critters. The company, as a whole, is purely for their customers. We did get someone once who apparently used the wrong type of sprayer to treat, and we were left with greasy puddles along the baseboards, kitchen, and bathrooms. We reported it to BPC. They responded by paying for a cleaning company to come to our house and completely wipe away the mess. That's incredible service right there!
