If you enjoy coffee, you have to visit Berk's Beans! Whether you want to learn more about coffee beans, or are already a coffee nerd, this is the place for you. Their default coffee is a pour over (and you get a free one with each bag of beans you purchase). It's in a business park, so there is lots of parking but not a lot of signage from the street. They have a lot of information on different coffees and coffee tasting in the shop and online. Their online roasted coffee catalog online is truly overwhelming - because you can order any and they will roast it fresh for you, within 1-2 days - but the available beans in the shop are more limited and rotate each day. If you order beans online, you can even specify what roast level/temperature you want! If you stop by in person, the staff is happy to chat and answer any questions you have. My one suggestion would be to offer more light roasts (if you look at the catalog, many are light-medium) for the truly funky-fruity aficionados. read more

If you're coming here for strictly coffee and pour overs this is the place to go. First time going here and didn't realize pour overs were my thing. When I first walked in, I was greeted by the staff who educated me on pour overs. The place is situated in what looks like a storage unit which brought me in due to its uniqueness. This is a must visit and I will be visiting this place often if I want really good plain coffee and pour overs! read more

This hidden gem is a coffee lovers gold mine! The owner is so personable and knowledgeable about coffee beans , their origins, the roasting process and gives exceptional samples . We didn't know what to expect having never visited a roaster before. But I had made a resolution to stop being a Starbucks cattle call victim . Berks Beans didn't disappoint. Jesse is the most incredible barista , bean affionado , conisseur of quality beans , incredible pour over coffee Nd conversation. So much fun, we didn't want to leave . Can't wait to go back. We picked up Italian Stallion, Breakfast in Paris, and Bali . Gregg the owner gave me a sample bag of Espresso blend and I made the first perfect latte since buying my Breville during black Friday . Wow! This coffee is the best ! Jesse poured us Honduran coffee which was outstanding and I felt elevated and energetic without the edge that can come with higher caffeinated coffees. Highest recommendation ever! Thanks Gregg! Thank you Jesse . read more

Me and my husband were out and about and we really wanted some coffee,, but we didn't want the boring coffee we usually get like Starbucks. We wanted authentic true good coffee We came across this coffee shop, and when we walked in, we were amazed by all the different types of coffees you can get. We met the owner and he was kind enough to explain some coffees around the world and we ended up getting two Mexican honey drip coffees and it was very delicious. Amazing taste and it actually woke me up. We will be definitely returning and hope to try something new each time. read more

My husband and I stumbled upon this spot somewhat accidentally--it's tucked into an area with business offices, so at first we weren't totally sure we were in the right place. But trust me, you are. They roast their coffee beans in-house, which immediately caught our attention. Berk himself was there, and he was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and generous with his time. He walked us through different beans, let us sample several options, and even made a couple of drinks for us while asking thoughtful questions about what we like and what we were looking for. It genuinely felt less like a transaction and more like an experience. We also learned that Berk helps people get started with their own coffee carts, which was really cool to hear about and speaks to how passionate he is about the craft and the community. We've since caught one of their pop-ups and loved it just as much. Special shoutout to the cold brew beans--they're fantastic. If you're into coffee and enjoy meeting the people behind what you're drinking, this is absolutely worth checking out. Berk is just a great guy, and the experience reflects that. read more

Great local roaster with a ton of variety. Greg is very knowledgeable and can help you make decisions on which beans to try. I have bought twice now and the first time we just showed up and bought some beans that were freshly roasted the day before. The second order I placed online and it was roasted to order and available for pickup the next day. You can also get a pour over there. Great beans, great service. See you again soon. read more

Great atmosphere! From the coffee to the owners and the team, everything was amazing. I'll definitely be back.

Was curious and went with a friend, and it turned out to be such a fun time! Had a great conversation with the owner about the history of the store and got to try the Jamaican Blue Mountain, one of the premium selections since I like a light roast. The coffee tasted fantastic and the store itself is decorated in such a cute and inviting way. The whole experience was so pleasant and I'm definitely visiting again! read more

Greg (owner) and Jesse were super kind and generous. Stopped in for a fresh pour over coffee, not expecting it to be more of a warehouse for buying the beans themselves, but MAN was the coffee fresh (beans were roasted just 24 hours ago). Great coffee, great vibes! read more

I've been a customer of Berks's Beans for over 9 months now. I love that I can order customized freshly roasted coffee from them and have it arrive a few days later with no shipping charge. The coffee costs slightly more than what I can purchase from Safeway, but is substantially better in quality and freshness. We have tried many bean varieties from Berks, finally settling on Kenya AA with a light roast as being our absolute favorite, brewed with a french press and served black. read more
