Small but cozy restaurant with a charming outdoor patio. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made for a pleasant experience. I was really looking forward to trying their gluten-free vodka rigatoni that I saw on Yelp, but it seems the menu has changed and it's no longer available. The closest option was the casarecce, which, while appreciated, needed a lot more seasoning to bring the flavors to life. The tagliatelle was also a bit under-seasoned and could have used some chili oil or spice to enhance it. Overall, it's a cute spot for a date night or a casual dinner out. I'll definitely give it another try and explore other menu items. It might just be that I didn't pick the best options this time. I also appreciate that they offer gluten-free pasta, as that's a huge plus for someone like me with a gluten intolerance. It's nice to have an option where I can still enjoy pasta again!

Today was homecoming day with my girlfriend and I was on the hunt to take her to a very nice and expensive place, and I really thought I found the one. It was either that or Bella Limone, and after what they did to Pinkies I don't have the heart to go... At least not yet. But let's focus on Beppe. Spectacular interior, super kind staff and we actually happen to be the first people there upon opening on Saturday. We walked in 10 minutes before they were serving food, and both the hostess and our waiter reminded us very warmly. I absolutely love the vibe, the menu screamed "overpriced garbage" but I was still curious. I ordered a Shirley Temple, it was 10 dollars. Actually, it might've been 8 dollars. I took a picture of the receipt so I could show you the prices. I will admit though, that was easily one of the best Shirley Temples I ever had, especially for something that's traditionally just Grenadine and Sprite. By the taste, I'm confident they simmer their Grenadine in cherries for an extra pop. Very clever. Ravioli came out and I must say, although the pasta itself is quite authentic and delicate, the marinara truly ruins the entire experience. I felt quite ill when eating it. Yeah, it's that kind of pasta. We got another entree, however I forgot the name of it; I believe it was a confusing Italian word. Similar to my last dish, the pasta itself is very nice, the noodle is incredible and freshly chopped and grated with LOVE. But the texture and rawness of the ingredients isn't quite appetizing, I would rather get something simple. Let's move on to the greatest part of the entire night. The Tiramisu was 16 dollars, easily the most expensive Tiramisu I've ever had. Not saying it's supposed to be cheap, but good lord it better be worth two full orders of Mickey D's To-GO! Biting into the Tiramisu is like gnawing your teeth into genuine greatness. I absolutely adore the taste, and the texture is so satisfying. I save the in-jokes for outside of Yelp, but I'm just gonna say it; It was quite literally a taste-gasm. The dreamy creamy flavor compliments its GORGEOUS technique with the eggy, delicious white whip that is just LEAKING out from the side of the darn thing. What a fabulous dish, and probably one of the only things I could say is definitely worth the money. A desert to remember. Although two of the most expensive entrees I've ordered in a lifetime not only set back a lot of the expectations I had, but set back my bank account. I knew what I was getting myself into, so I'll leave my complaining to rest for the next time I'm craving overpriced Italian food. The good out-ways the bad in my opinion, especially with how everything turned out. Me and my girlfriend made the best out of everything we could, it started to rain so we got under the only table that didn't pour onto us. It was such a scene scented with fresh fallen water, I can just imagine the feeling in my head. Even though it had its setbacks, Beppe reminds me of the true reason I am so passionate about my genetically rooted cuisine; the greatness of gathering family and appreciating each others company, regardless of how the food may taste, is a feeling that's priceless in it of itself. I liked Beppe, and I will never come back again. 3/5

Have wanted to visit this spot since they opened. Came early on a Saturday without reservations. There are three seating options: bar, indoor, and outdoor. We wanted to sit at the bar which was full. Didn't take long for it to turn over. Grabbed two bar seats which were in the center of everything. Very lighted, busy, and loud. Our server and bartender, Bianca, was pleasant but very busy. Never got water refills but realize she was making drinks for the whole restaurant. Usually sitting at the bar gives you the best service, but not always the case. Drinks were okay. Ordered the hana town and golden era. Both a little sweet and unbalanced. One too booze forward and the other too mixer forward. Highly disappointed that there is no vegan main pasta dish. The executive chef suggested their gluten free pasta with red sauce. After perusing the menu, I would suggest a delish dish with maitake, lentils, peas and homemade pasta. There is a seared cauliflower and gigantic bean salad (minus parm) that are veganish. Ordered both. Portions are small, but they were edible. Still super surprised the chef wouldn't offer or create a better main with ingredients already on the menu. It's pasta and veggies served at a premium. Easy, but not here. Meat eaters will delight in all the animal dishes on the menu, but this isn't a repeat place for me. Get reservations if you're coming. It's small and busy. On the plus side, they have a parking lot and free side street parking.

This is a great spot for small groups or date nights! We thought our drinks were fabulous. The service was quick and attentive. It's always a nice touch when they change out silverware between courses. Overall the food was good but not insane. The burger really needs a different bun and was very heavy on pickles to the point it only tasted like pickles. I'd say the most notable were the french fries..maybe the best in the Detroit area

We enjoyed Beppe. The food was very good, the hamburger was tasty and fries were amazing. We also enjoyed the crudo. It was light, fresh and a good balance go the heavy burger. Knocked one star because the service is a bit strange. We checked the reservations a couple hours before and they had multiple of them open. We showed up to them telling us they don't have any availability and we have to sit at the bar. The restaurant was half empty for our entire meal. Very strange to deny a table with open reservations and open tables.

Beppe has the absolute BEST burger around (maybe the best I've ever had?), comforting yet modern vibes, great happy hour, and fast service. It's a Royal Oak Gem!

The food was good! The service was quick and kind and the vibes were on point. I definitely want to go again and try their pasta. I loved the arancini and would recommend it to everyone! The fries and aioli were soo delicious and the Caesar salad was good, it was missing that bit of acidity and cut that most Caesar salads have. I liked the look of the big croutons and the addition of the egg for some extra protein. Overall, super great meal and I hope to come back again soon!

Great time at Beppe. The restaurant was smaller than I imagined, but it was a comfortable space, and we were able to sit at the bar without a reservation. The food was delicious and very flavorful. The lamb belly had bold flavors, the beet with feta cheese was whipped to perfection, and the squid ink pasta had a great kick to it. The drinks were amazing too! Will definitely be back, as they mentioned they often change their menu. Can't wait to try other dishes.

Came here on a weekday and am impressed! I'm pretty picky about steak tartare but this is some of the best I've had! Not just loaded with horseradish and I can tell the chef cared about balancing the flavors. I also asked the server to pick another app for the table and she suggested a feta dip which was really yummy! Recommend this place to those who want a nice weekday dinner!

Stopped in to meet a friend for dinner. This was my first time at Beppe. It's a quaint spot, rather small on the inside. The menu is limited, but they offer unique appetizers and entrees. We ordered a Lamb appetizer, Halibut and pasta Ragu. We really enjoyed our food. I had the Halibut and it was cooked perfectly with a lemon sauce. I would definitely make a trip back.

Location can be everything at times, conveniently located in the opposite direction of the main street and overwhelming amount of traffic and hustle to find parking spot. Beppe with its own little patio and own parking lot stands out. Nice ambiance. Came on Thursday evening to celebrate our friends bday, place was busy that gave me good hopes. The food was hit and miss, odd twist on the classic Caesar salad with runny eggs and tomatoes made it almost uneatable due to the saltiness either cheese or dressing we couldnt figure it out. Tartar that my friend had looked and tasted great. My friends halibut was nicely cooked, the burger seemed dry. I had braised beets and feta app, I liked it. The service was a bit odd, after my friend returned the salad due to saltiness the server did not ask if she can get her anything else just stared and left. The menu and the place gave me mixed feeling I think I will wait on coming back here.

A nice place to check out in Royal Oak - it's not big inside but does have a good size covered outside seating area. Menu is not big but what we tried, for the most part was good. Feta with beets was good and came with a side of baguette. Good size to share. Same goes for cauliflower appetizer. Halibut dinner was just right though portion is on the smaller side. So if you are hungry - add an appetizer with it. One dish nobody in my party liked was beppe's version of a Caesar salad. It was too salty, had boiled eggs in it and another unidentified vegetable I think I "fancy" olive that was also very salty. The chocolate cake though made up for it! Delicious and big enough to split.

Super pleased with my dining experience here! My friends and I came for lunch on a weekend and we were the only ones here. I don't think many people know they are open for lunch because it is only a weekend thing. During the week they are only open during dinner service. The vibe of this place is so cute and i imagine their patio is super nice to sit on during the summer time. Our waiter was great and the perfect amount of attentiveness. The Caesar salad was awesome. Literally so good and a great portion size. I loved the soft boiled eggs and huge capers in it. Definitely one of the better Caesar salads I've had in my life. I also had a side of their fries which were extremely fresh and tasty. The garlic aioli served with it was a good sauce but literally so garlic-y so def have a piece of gum or a mint handy afterwards haha. One thing I thought was weird was that they marked some items on their menu as dairy free which is great because my friend is dairy free but when she ordered one of these items she was told that the bun had dairy in it. Weird that they would mark it as dairy free when it's not but just a heads up for others to double check food items if you have dietary restrictions!

It was a lovely experience and the food was for the most part very delicious. They were out of the "pretty potatoes" which was disappointing because they sounded super delicious. The restaurant is a little dark and when very busy can get a little loud. The three women at the table next to us were having a very loud conversation (of which I picked up every word) and I could barely hear my fiancé, which I didn't love, so the acoustics are a bit odd. That being said, the decor and vibe is very home-y and everyone that works there was very pleasant and lovely, from the hostess to the man that refilled our waters. We got the charcuterie plate (selected two cheeses and two meats; comes accompanied by fig jam, mustard, sardinian crackers, and cornichons), the caesar salad, the short rib, the arctic char, and the olive oil cake for dessert. All of the food was really exceptional and delicious except I found the short rib to be a tad dry. We each ordered a cocktail, I got a spritzer and my fiancé got a seasonal Pimm's cup-type cocktail that used house-made cranberry syrup. They can accommodate gluten free diets easily which is also a plus. Overall, we will absolutely be coming back!I want to try that Wagyu Pastrami Reuben!

We went for trivia and expected it to be the same as always, unfortunately it was not. They erased our points we've earned for a free glass, these are no longer honored. The menu has significantly changed: flights are $2-$3 more, no longer include flight bites, an upcharge for premium pours (which is understandable), no longer has a $5 bottle credit, and each glass is now $3-$5 more per pour. Why did you have to make every last item on the menu more expensive? I understand that the economy and inflation contribute to these things, but to increase the price and get less on everything throughout the menu plus not honor points earned for a free glass is a slap in the face. I'm just crushed at the blatant disrespect for the regulars that come every week for trivia or other events, no warning. Our trivia night just got a whole lot more expensive and we will be looking at other locations with more reasonably priced beverages and snacks. I hope they still allow us to bring in our own food, they did this week but who knows if that will also change. The staff seemed stressed telling us the new rules as well.

The popcorn was so light and flavorful straight out of the kitchen, but became chewy as it sat atop the piping hot polenta. I really enjoyed it however. Next time I'll eat all the popcorn first. I also had lobster dumplings, which was good but the dish wasn't cooked through. The filling wasn't hot and the pasta was very under on some bites. So tough way to end a great meal, we should have asked about the price initially so that ones in us, and they did offer us a dessert/coffee if we wanted. But, word to the wise-check the price before ;)
