Went here for trivia and this is going to be our new go to place! They have great beers and I love that you can get a flight to try a few different ones. I tried the tapalope, no carrot all, b passionate, and college water and they were all super tasty but I think the tapalope was my favorite. It had such a good flavor but wasn't too hoppy. We also got the pretzel sticks and they were exactly what I wanted - very salty and chewy, and the cheese sauce and mustard were the perfect accompaniments. They had lots of seating and our server was super nice and came to check on us a bunch. Great place to stop in benson!

This space is very nice, the staff is friendly, and the service was quick! We went for the Omaha Restaurant Week menu and also had an order of fish and chips! For $16 the fish and chips were great! Nice large pieces of fish, decent fries and a nice dipping sauce! The Restaurant Week menu was okay, I had anticipated the cauliflower to be a whole plate of just cauliflower but it was a few pieces on some lettuce. Not bad just not my jam. The steak was good, the potatoes that were with it were okay, they were missing something but I couldn't figure out what, just a little bland and didn't blend well with the steak. The lemon bar was LOVELY! I really liked them, not too sweet or tart and had a cute little burnt lemon on top! I had the red sangria (a summer special) and we had a glass of college water (one of their permanent beers), both were great! The sangria had cider in it which was so great, a fun take on the usual sangria, the college water tasted just like a light beer you could drink for hours at a hot sports game. Overall, a great experience and pretty good food!

Fries

Ordered the mustard ipa chicken wings and order of fries. Fries were good. Freshly made and hand cut. Could use a little salt. Wings on the other hand... nothing good I can say about them. They were bland, and soft. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever. That's about it. Tried to get through one but couldn't. Definitely will not do any of their food in the future.

Benson Brewery is a solid staple in the Benson neighborhood, with great beer/drinks selection and pretty tasty food options. The interior decor is very diner-style, with a long booth along one side, and bar seating on the other. The open kitchen can be seen at the far end of the restaurant, which is always kind of nice to see. There is a side room that's great for overflow on busy days or for larger groups/events. A few tables and chairs are also out front on the patio. My favorite beer they have is the Blonde Bunny when I want something lighter. A lot of their other beer options are sours or IPAs or darker, which I know is some people's cup of tea - just not mine Appetizer-wise, I love the Brussels Sprouts, but they seem to have changed a little over the years. This past time there was a lot less balsamic, and some type of fruit/vegetable (maybe the candied oranges?) that had a numbing effect on my mouth. My friend who had the same app agreed, so it wasn't just me. Still tasty and all, but just different from previous times I had ordered it. The Brew Fries are absolutely delicious, with house seasoning and a few dips you can order, including a homemade ranch that was to die for. And then there's my favorite entree/sandwich - the pork tenderloin! It's breaded to perfection, the aioli is super yummy (I always order extra), and the bun comes all toasty and divine. I have never gotten a good photo of this, because it gets gobbled up so quickly! The service was great the last time we were there with a group of 17 (!!!) so kudos to the staff in putting up with us :-) I would definitely recommend Benson Brewery for a quick bite, great beer, or to catch a game.

Love this place quality beer. Tasty we've been coming here for years and the beer is always really good. The burger is always very good too. I had the brew.

We headed to Benson Brewery in Omaha with the whole family. This brewery is bigger than it looks from the outside, and it strikes the right balance between quirky and casual. It seems to be a great spot for date night and casual get-togethers with friends or family. I ordered the Bacon Bleu Burger, and it came cooked to perfection - I loved the blend of the bacon and tangy blue cheese. My husband was super-happy about the vegetarian options, including Vegan Gyro, Black Bean Burger, and Seitan Vegan Wings. It's pretty rare to find that many veggie options on a smaller menu like this. Our server was so friendly and frequently checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. The prices are a bit on the high side, but the quality and flavors made it all worthwhile. And the guys raved about the beers, so that was an extra plus! Overall, great experience!!

Inside

The service was great, even on a busy weekend. Highly recommended the pretzel appetizers with the mustard and queso. The sauce that is made in house for the fish and chips is out of this world!

Can't beat a good burger! Good tasting beer too. Always good conversations and atmosphere when going in.

Sadly Benson Brewery did not live up to the hype. We got two seasonal beers and the mainstay sour. The beers were all good. We followed that with the pretzel sticks and brussel sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were the highlight of the meal. A uniquely prepared dish with oranges. It was the burgers where things took a turn. The menu states made to order, warns about undercookedeat, etc. And the waitress asked how we wanted them made. Our three burgers were supposed to be medium and medium rare but all were well done. If you aren't going to even attempt to make them as ordered, why ask? There are so many great Benson restaurants that we probably won't be back, but if we do return we will stick to beer and apps.

I enjoyed this place specifically for the vegan options. I had the gyro and the wings and if I had choose between I'd go for the gyro. There were a lot of beer options to choose from but they're all quality options. They have TVs if you want to watch the game and they have room for your friends to meet up! Overall for food and drink purposes it's a solid pick if you're in the area. Also if you have time to stop by during happy hour I'd recommend.

Cool brewery in a cool neighborhood. A good variety of beers on tap. Great atmosphere. Yummy food. Got the bacon blue burger, Cuban sandwich and Mac and cheese. Traci was a good waitress. We even got a T-shirt for a souvenir.

Went to benson Brewery yesterday for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice inside. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I regret not trying the beer as I've heard it's good. Now to the food. I ordered the black bean burger with a salad for the side and wife has the fish n chips. First my salad was very good. Fresh cherry tomatoes and the vinaigrette was lovely! The black bean burger was good. Many I've had are dry but this one was not in the least bit. The fish was a tad greasy but very tasty. And omg the malt vinegar aioli is the BOMB!!!!! Will for sure be back !

We went on a Wednesday evening for my wife's birthday. Reservation maybe not required but there were quite a few tables in use. We had our 18month old with us and they were very accommodating. The staff was great very friendly. One of our servers was training another and they were both great sad I can't remember their names for a shoutout. Drinks: I had the Thymekeeper which was a mezcal drink which I really enjoyed the thyme infused smokiness to it and the lemon and passion fruit gave it just enough sweet/sour to balance perfectly. My wife had the Açaí Cosmo and said it was her favorite cocktail of the last year at least. Fav cosmo ever also. Starters: Dundee Dip which is just cheesy goodness the bread soaks up the oils and was very tasty. The sausage had a really strong flavor which I enjoyed fennel in it I think. The banana peppers gave it a perfect hint of kick/crunch. Mains: Marks signature Mac and cheese which was great and had a really unique flavor this was ordered first and came out quick for the baby which was super nice they accommodated our request. We all loved it. I had the short rib grilled cheese and upgraded to the broccolini. It also came with an amazing herbed horseradish dip that was to die for. Perfect blend with the sandwich. Only ate half and had the other half for lunch the next day and was still very tasty. My wife had the smoked chicken lasagna which she really enjoyed it also had a super unique flavor that was great. They ended up giving us a free dessert for her birthday which we had to take to go as our daughter was acting up and we didn't want to ruin other guests experience. She went with the peach cobbler cheesecake I believe it was called and it was also delicious. They take and box up all the leftovers in the back which I always enjoy and use nice microwave safe containers which makes taking it to work or warming up a breeze. 10/10 all around for service, food quality, and atmosphere. Pricing is fair for the quality and service. Very cute place and the patio looks amazing for the warmer weather on the horizon. We will be back.

We visited Au Courant for the first time this past weekend for my husband's birthday…read more The space is cosy and I really liked the overall ambiance they provided with the lighting (lights did slightly dim at 8). My husband wanted to try the chef's tasting menu but I unfortunately for him wasn't feeling very brave. Just a heads up; if you decide on the chefs tasting menu, everyone at your table needs to do it as well. While slightly less adventurous, we found some truly amazing dishes on their à la carte menu. For a starter, we ended up choosing the featured chovy's egg for the week which included beurre blanc, steelhead roe, and turnip. While I didn't try this myself, my husband enjoyed it. For the rest of the meal we decided to share the fagottini which was filled short rib and was placed on a bed of sweet potato with caramelized onion. The flavors on this were so delicious. The red wine they used was perfect. Next, came the pappardelle bolognese with basil and parmigiano. Again, amazing. So flavorful and so many different textures which elevated the dish so much. Last was our agreed upon favorite, the picanha that was served with a wonderful grilled/smoked cabbage and topped with hollandaise (though I think the menu said it was served with spinach and potato). I loved everything about this dish. The meat was cooked to absolute perfection and the cabbage (a total unsung hero) was delectable! I would 1000% get this dish again. We also both had their Raspberry Beret which was fantastic. A perfect summer drink. They have a little fun with their featured drinks; if the song they are named after is played during your visit, the drink is half-off! While Prince didn't end up serenading us, I do always love a little challenge! Our server was very friendly along with each staff member who brought our various dishes to us. I'm sure everything on the menu is good, but we came here for wings and boy did they deliver. The house brined wings are Fantastic. We did the extra hot bubba, which is their extra hot sauce fried then grilled In garlic Parmesan, which was so juicy and flavorful and kicked the heat to a perfect amount where it was flavorful but not overbearing. We also did the cactus ranch, which is the medium hot sauce tossed with cactus ranch seasoning, also tried it grilled. Another solid selection that provided a nice amount of heat and flavor. Both were so amazing I can't even say which one I liked more or which one was hotter. The wings are huge, juicy, and came out well-sauced. I filled up after five of mine (my husband tackled them all) and took the rest home. I don't know how to say best wings in Omaha, since I don't live there and haven't tried enough places, but these were some of the best wings we have EVER had, period. And we get wings almost everywhere we go. Also---the hand-cut (you heard me) fries aren't to be passed up on. We tried with the garlic aoili, so good, and a huge basket for $6. Our server was great. They are always busy, so give them some grace. We came during late lunch, got lucky and got seated right away, and it was still a revolving door of people, tables don't sit empty for long. They don't take reservations, and I understand why. They have limited space and when full, you sign up on the Board, there is a bar next door you can also receive a buzzer and go have a few drinks while you wait. This place is definitely worth the wait and we will repeatedly be back when we make it up to Omaha.

Our server did not do a great job, I saw her standing around a bit, so she was not too busy, but we struggled to get anything to our table. We ran out of water and never got anymore, as we didn't have an opportunity to ask. It took us quite a while to be checked on after our food was dropped, so we waited to get extra sauces that we needed. Overall, she did not do a good job at checking on us through our entire visit. The food here is still good. In my opinion, the coconut chicken salad has always been my favorite, but I was disappointed to see that it is much smaller than it used to be (I did order the full). The flavor of the dressing is still the same, and the ingredients are unchanged, but there was a much lesser ratio of toppings to lettuce this time around. The most disappointing part was that I asked for a dinner roll at the end of my visit, as I was still hungry. Our server took back my checkbook so that she could ring this in, and I was charged a dollar for the role. The menu still states that dinner rolls are available upon request, so this was disappointing. The salad should've been $20 for a full salad, as shrimp is the same price as the coconut chicken I substituted at four. I was charged $24 for the salad. Slight mistake mistakes like this are not the end of the world, but really do show the downhill direction. This restaurant has gone, unfortunately. I will stop in again, but only because I have a gift card to use up. Otherwise, I will check out the downtown location and hopefully have better luck there!
