A slice of the Bronx?.... sorry this Bronx girl says not even close. The crust is hard as a cracker on the edges, no rise to the dough. And the other thing you would never get away with in the Bronx is charging fifty cents for the box. Really? Never heard of a pizza place charging for the pizza box. My Arvada pizza dreams have come true! For years and years, all I ever wanted was some authentico New York style pizza by the slice in my neighborhood. Finally, Jah has provided. I used to live a block away from their prior Capitol Hill location and ate there on the regular. I'm happy to report it's the same great pizza with arguably better service. It was bittersweet to hear of the closing of Benny Blanco's Denver location but their Arvada Shop is definitely where it's at. I love the decor and energy of this new pizza shop. They are pumping out delicious pizza pies left and right. The last time I was in the shop there was a special visitor there, too! The good: the staff were very nice and personable. They had some interesting combinations and the pizza was decent, although a bit undercooked. The sauce was ok, but not great. I ordered a large (20") regular cheese pizza, which I picked up. The pie looked a little sparse. The dough was generic, pre-made with holes poked through, like a frozen pie. Which is what it tasted like. Hardly any sauce. Cheese itself was tolerable. There was what looked like parsley sprinkled on top, but it may have been dried oregano. No taste. So excited to have this new pizza place in Arvada!! We've tried a lot of pizza places and this one is our top FAVORITE! Not only is the staff on top of it, friendly and welcoming, the shop is so clean and welcoming and the pizza is sooo good / huge! Not to mention the ranch!! Service was amazing staff is incredible, the inside of this location and their Denver location is so cute and a great place to take pictures if you are into that kind of thing. Seriously we lived a time away from Colorado and while on a long layover at DIA the pizza was worth going through security again so that I could get a slice of that chicken bacon ranch. This was our first time at Benny Blancos, we called in for three 20" pizzas last Saturday; one 1/2 pepperoni & 1/2 cheese, one with fresh basil and fresh garlic and the third "the works."
