Stopped in to get a pizza. Asked if they could half bake it to finish at home later and this nasty woman from and back heard my question and screamed "no we don't do that". Friendly was not any part of her. The pizza is good for what's available in the area however we called for delivery a week later and they don't go over 3 miles. On top of that they did not have enough staff to deliver the guy on the the said. So we called Jett and for less money larger pizza it was delivered 4 miles. This is our current family favorite pizza. We have been here several times and it is becoming a go-to. Their sauce is flavorful with a nice kick. The toppings are generous. Our family likes green chile, sliced sweet Italian sausage and pepperoni. The pies are New York style with a great chew on the crust. On our last order we tried the crumbled sausage and green chile. Yum! The breadsticks are different than other places. They come with sauce for dipping. The employees are always nice. The restaurant is clean and the service is swift. We are outside delivery range. It is worth the time to call it in, pop over and pick it up. I have them saved in my phone and will be calling again in the future. read more

What a great find! My girlfriend and I were in the area by chance, wanted something to eat, and spotted Abo's... and I'm so glad we did! We ordered a custom style 18" pizza and it was awesome. The toppings tasted great, the crust was crispy and light, and it wasn't too greasy. Perfect NY style pizza. Lastly, contrary to some of the other reviews, we thought the owners were great. Seriously? Not a way to run a business. Ordered chicken wings. The BONES were soft and would crumple when touched. I don't know how long those wings had been around but, they were certainly not fresh by any stretch of the imagination. Greek salad was good but, web site was $9.50. I was charged $12.50. I got a cheeseless meatless small pizza and asked the older female employee NOT to cut it or to use a CLEAN knife and what happened? Better than average pizza, speed and quality. But each time I've gone I have felt like the pizza could be better. Maybe it is just me but I feel like maybe there is not enough toppings compared to others or because it's all covered in cheese on top with a thinner crust. I got a 16" half pepperoni / half mushroom to go. The crust: Excellent. Pizza crust should be strong and provide some chew, as this did. The toppings: Disappointing. Pepperoni was sliced too thin to give that flavor burst I craved. Mushrooms were out of a can. The sauce: Yummy. The price: For the $22 I paid I was hoping for more quality and quantity of toppings. They were nice when I walked in but couldn't bother saying thank you or anything when I left as they were too busy talking loudly to each other. The pizza was very lackluster, no flavor and for just coming out of the oven it wasn't very hot. I haven't had Abo's in 10+ years and it use to be good. A slice of cheese and a piece of bread would of had more flavor. Costco pizza tastes better. I do not care about people wearing masks but if you are going to say something to the customer that came in after me about wearing a mask, then you should tell the two teenage boys behind the counter to actually pull their masks up! read more

They have the best pizza -- by far -- in this area. Its legit: real pizza dough, not thick and bready, very crispy around the edges; good tomato sauce, legit cheese (my wife and I request "light on the cheese" as we like it Neapolitan style) and toppings (the sausage is really good), not at all greasy. Tastes great without being overly heavy -- the way pizza is supposed to be. It's inexpensive for high quality pizza. And there is usually no waiting unlike at trendy places. I just happened to be driving past here earlier this week, and decided I could go for a bite. I wasn't really expecting much, I had never seen the place before, and had never tried Abo's Pizza. Well, if it's telling you anything, I've been back twice in the same week. That being saod, this place is amazing. It serves by - the - slice or whole pizzas, and the prices you pay for what you get are awesome. $8.75 will get you two slices (and these slices are huge! Each one takes up its own plate, and hangs off the sides at all 3 points) and a drink. I've spent more for less (and worse tasting) food at McDonald's. The pizza come out hot and delicious (they don't just leave a few premade pizzas under a warmer like some places), and though the sign seems like your slice options are limited, they will make you any kind of slice you want, not just the ones listed on the board. In addition, the owners are extremely friendly and accomodating, ask you your name, where you're from, etc. They definately seem like they appreciate your business, but more than that want to know you as a person, not just a customer. If you're driving up 64th between Ward and McIntyre around lunch or dinner, I definately recommend stopping in and grabbing a bite. Oh! Atmosphere is excellent as well, with great service and a great vibe. Excellent for a quick bite away from the office. This is not NY style pizza. Visit NY (or NJ). I would have gotten Anthony's, but they didn't have a delivery driver today. Abo's pizza is good. I won't take that away from them. The problem is when I order a sausage pie, they give me 8 pieces of sausage, one for each slice. So, that means. when I order double sausage, I get two per slice. in NY when I order a sausage pie, I can't see the cheese. You are going out of business soon.
