I love the vibe of this place! I ordered the Cosmo from Benny Blanco's and now I get the hype--my whole family loved it. Found this place on my lunch break and i'm so glad i did. Cute store with lots of decorations and lots of speciality pie options. my first time i tried "the max" and a "large marge" slice and my second visit i tried their garlic knots. i love how the slices are big and thin crust that doesn't immediately flop. being from NJ i've got some high pizza standards and Benny Blanco's checks all the boxes. staff and customaries alike are all super nice and you can tell this is a popular spot in the community. will be adding this to my lunch rotation for sure. read more

If you are close and want an old reheated slice of piece this the place for you. They claim to be New York style but other than it be large pieces there was nothing NY about it. When we entered my husband and I just looked at each other very well knowing we were going to be disappointed. We had decided to go to Benny Blancos because we like to try a new pizza place every now and again. We walked in and ordered and were told it would be 30-45 minutes for our take out order. Clearly you should order ahead. So we sat down at one of the small tables they have inside. The guy taking our order was nice enough but seems like a bunch of bros work and maybe owe the place. I'm a transplant from NY and sadly disappointed with this place. The staff was friendly and the vibe was good. But, the pizza fell flat. It wouldn't survive a month in NYC, the place they claim their pizza to replicate. The sauce was bland and pasty. The crust was under cooked and lacked that yeasty taste that a good dough always has. I wouldn't doubt that the cheese comes pre-shredded from the distributor. I believe there's hope though. They need to sweeten up the sauce. Yep some added sugar would go a long way. They need to toss the conveyor oven and invest in a gas fired brick oven. Places like Papa John's and Domino's use conveyor ovens, so you do the math. An oven fired up over 700° is key to producing a great tasting pizza. I want this business to thrive, not just survive. It's possible with just a few simple tweaks. read more

I had heard a lot of good things about this place. That it could be like NY pizza really had me hooked. I had seen their lunch special of two slices of cheese pizza and a soda for $8 so I decided to stop in and give them a try. Coming from NYC I'm well aware that there are all kinds of pizzas and to each his own. But I'm old enough to remember that pizza shops were everywhere when I was growing up. All I knew was cheese pizza! And I loved it. A light sauce covering a thin crust with cheese over it all. The crust was tasty not burnt or crisp. You enjoyed the whole slice and it was cheap! Nowadays no longer cheap but the lunch special gives you two huge slices plus a can of soda. I ordered takeout and those slices fit into a large pizza box. I did take one photo of one slice in the box. I measured it at some 8 by 11 inches a slice. The taste brought me back to NYC. This is one of the best I've had outside NYC. It's not fancy it's just cheese pizza but it's quite good. No question I'll be back again to try what else they have like eggplant parmigiana sandwich. It's a very small shop as prior photos show it quite nicely. It is cute inside and clean. Well worth a try if you are in the area. When you walk in you'll see the pizzas by the slice. Each pizza on its own pan and they are huge. Not just extra large they are gigantic! Great pizza spot in Arvada. We got a Medium chicken bacon ranch and Large the works. Both had a crispy, thin crust that still held up all the toppings. The Large is truly large and topped with a generous amount of toppings. Sauce + cheese + toppings were a great balanced ratio. The folks who took my order and the chefs were super friendly and warm. Well, as a recent transplant to Arvada, I have been on the hunt for a solid go-to pizza place. I was excited when I saw how many great reviews there were for Benny Blanco's on all different sites. Unfortunately, my experience was not commensurate with those high ratings. I am from the east coast and never have I had pizza like this - it is not NY style or Bronx style pizza. Another reviewer said it right when they said the crust is like a cracker dough. It's exactly what my husband and I said to each other after taking a few bites. The crust lacks flavor, but the toppings were well-portioned, spread evenly and were tasty. We also got a calzone (served with cold marinara sauce). It was okay, but the crust was also soft, so probably not good enough for me to return. read more

I tried this place hoping to find pizza like NY or should I say the Bronx. Not even close. Cracker crust no rise to the dough. Sauce lack's robustness and the cheese well that lacks also. What I find even worse is the reply from the owners especially the woman who acts like a victim and attacks those who are not into the products they serve. They are only sharing their experience and your hostile negativity is not showing you to be understanding in any way. The hostility is like the pizza. Crunchy and lacking. It's not a personal attack on you but I see why you take it that way but maybe use them as an opportunity to step up the products or just create a true NY product starting with the dough options. Roll the box charge into the product so you don't look tacky. Feel free to bash my review but On the flip side I may not be a fan and you can't make everyone happy. Arvada needed a good NY style pizza place in the area and this place hits the mark! Just down the street from my house I noticed them as new when looking for pizza on Yelp. I went down to take a look as they serve by the slice or a whole pie. The owner was there and was happy to chat with me. He explained their type of pizza and even showed the back room where all the magic happens. Now I don't know my pizza ovens, but he said he brought this one in special. It sure looked special to me! The gentleman running the back wasn't an inexperienced kid, but he appeared to be a seasoned pizza maker. Nice guy! This is their second location and glad they decided on Arvada. I spent $8 dollars for a meat lovers' slice which was HUGE! $8 Lunch Special- Just to clear up confusion it runs from 11am-3pm (I was told) and is only for plain cheese slices. Good enough for me! I'm thrilled they've opened a location up north! I used to visit the Capitol Hill spot when I was nearby, but now there's one closer to home. The pizza was excellent--I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried the Green Giant and the chicken bacon ranch. Both exceeded my expectations! The slices are also very generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. The staff is friendly and create a great atmosphere in the shop. Stopped by their Arvada location last week. Every pizza type I've had here is superb and the new location was no exception. One of the best local pizza joints in the greater Denver area; easily. I am super grateful for a good pizza place in Arvada. First off the customer service was on point. I ordered half Pep and sausage and half veggie 18" and they called to verify what I wanted. My 3yo daughter and I stopped in last night to pickup a 20" 'za and salad for dinner and I love what they've done with the space that I would've previously described as, "where pizza places go to die." It feels like the rules are made up on the spot, which feels shady. I have been here twice and both times the have fucked up my order hell my wife and I drove over 30 minutes to go here one night and it took a hour to make a large pizza after they told me they messed it up. Driving by and seeing the sign for weeks prior to opening, my family and I had been excited for the arrival of a new pizza place in Arvada. Let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Gloriously large, New York style pies, with the crust done just right. Delicious sauce, too, fresh and flavorful, but subtle enough to not burn-out your tastebuds. So far, we've enjoyed the pepperoni and the veggie - which the entire family enjoyed, unusual for the kids, but they picked the right vegetables for this one (tomatoes, ftw). Garlic bread with *actual* garlic on it. Finally, the calzone... For as often as I find myself ordering calzones - at least once - from restaurants, I am more often than not disappointed as they usually end up being so average. That was happily not the case with Benny Blanco's Stan-the-Man calzone. It. Was. Stellar. The outside was properly cooked, golden brown, the fillings were fresh and plentiful, and the cheeses were a surprisingly creamy texture that brought all of the flavors together. My Arvada pizza dreams have come true! For years and years, all I ever wanted was some authentico New York style pizza by the slice in my neighborhood. Finally, Jah has provided. I used to live a block away from their prior Capitol Hill location and ate there on the regular. I'm happy to report it's the same great pizza with arguably better service.
